The Cupcake Conflict

This is such a delightful yet adventurous book. Ginger and Jude had a wonderful summer of falling in love then he hit the big time so to speak. He landed an adventurous job being an extreme sports enthusiast. After telling Ginger he didn’t want her to wait on him, he left the valley. Ginger went on to become a talented pastry chef in order to take over her mother’s bakery. She has remained in Jade Valley running the bakery and taking care of her mother while purchasing the bakery from her parents. Until Jude returns with danger following close behind. He wants to reconnect. Will their long lost love be rekindled or will the danger following Jude bring them to an abrupt end?

Love this new series about the Gem family. Jude Gem and Ginger Leonard reconnect when Jude comes back to Jade Valley for his cousin’s wedding. Despite the hurt his leaving caused and against her better judgment, Ginger can’t help but give into her feelings for Jude. I love the banter and teasing between them. The love is there but trying to find a way to make their lifestyles mesh is hard. The characters are so well depicted that you feel as if you are right there with them in their lives. Very enjoyable and wonderful story.

Sweet Romance

Very, very sweet. Jude Gem is crazy in love with Ginger and calls her his Ginger Spice. But, he left her behind, so she’s still pretty mad about that. He doesn’t really clue her into the suspense until much later. That’s the part I didn’t understand. He loves her so much that he’s willing to help her out in the bakery and kiss her all the time, but not teach her how to defend herself if there’s a bad guy coming after him? Weird. Luckily, everything turns out alright!

This was a fantastic read with banter. Jude and Ginger reconnects when Jude returns for his cousin's wedding in Jade Valley. They have history, and even though his leaving hurt her, she still wants to be with Jude. Can the two of them find a compromise to be with each other, regardless of their different lifestyles? This story also has danger that follows Jude when he returns home. Delightful read.

Jude and Ginger's story is a fun one. Jude comes back to Jade Valley in disguise for his cousin's wedding after an angry man comes after Jude for helping the man's girlfriend. Ginger has loved Jude for 6 years but when he comes back to town, she is very hesitant to start anything new, knowing Jude would soon return to his extreme sports life.

This was a cute, small-town second chance romance with a side of suspense and loads of swoony kisses! Loved the angst and tension between the characters and all of the outdoorsy scenes. Also, we need more romances with extreme sports athletes!

This is such a fun and exciting story. Great sweet romance. Plenty of suspense and adventure. Just enough angst. Some amazing characters. A few villainous characters. And the perfect ending. What more could you want?!

Ginger is truly a sweet person. From the beginning, I wanted her to put up a shield against Jude. Because I was hurt for her that he walked away 6 years ago. And though he had remorse, there's so much he could have done to keep in touch or keep the love alive. As the story progressed, i found Jude's personality to be very endearing, and it was clear He surely did love ginger and suffer from their partng. Albeit his choice. Ginger and Jude needed to both realize it takes to, and it takes compromise to make a relationship work. Sometimes the answers do not fit neatly in a box. The evolution of they're more mature adult relationship was fascinating and entertaining. This new series is clearly a huge hit. And I look forward to the next story already.
