WHAT'S LEFT - Poems of Heartbreak, Loss and Mourning
After the unexpected loss of her oldest son, Carma Haley Shoemaker was immediately dealt a second blow when her estranged husband filed for divorce. She felt overwhelmed with emotions and didn't know what to do with them, how to deal with them, or where to express them. She decided to turn to what she knew - Writing.
What's Left is Carma's first ever collections of poetry shared with the public. While she has been writing poetry since grade school, she has only shared a dozen (or so). Now, she has opened her heart and soul to allow you to see and feel her love for her son, as well as her pain, loss, and grief.
Carma Haley Shoemaker, an Ohio native, lived in several states while working as a traveling nurse before returning home. She considers herself a "nurse by trade and a writer by nature." The mother of three, she began her writing career as a contributing editor, composing articles for both online and print magazines. Carma writes romance in various genres, including paranormal, supernatural, and fantasy.
Very beautifully written. The art work is well done and matches the intensity of her poems perfectly. Well worth the buy as it’s already become one of my favorite reads. Each time I pick it up a find new depth and meaning in her words.
