Vivified with absorbing scenes of friendship, romance, and family drama, Mike J. Kizman's "Being Afternoon Rebecca" is an invigorating read.

Rebecca Firkins and Maxine Little are college roommates, teammates, and best friends who share personal plans for each other. Works at St. Sister Christian Church, Rebecca meets a guy named Jeff Linn from a Christian dating app and goes on a date. It turned out to be her best first-ever date, as she saw Jeff as a perfect gentleman, kind and sensitive, which made their mutual feelings quickly set in. After she realized they hadn't exchanged phone numbers, she still hoped for a second date.

Meanwhile, Maxine, with a traumatic past, finds Dish Man to be a match on the same app, and after exchanging a few messages, they agree to meet for a date. A man looks similar to Jerry Holt, who's been complained about by some girls at the library for touching inappropriately. As a protective friend, Rebecca is ready for the possibility, and their dates turn out to be a test of their aptness and cleverness to escape from the unwanted assault.

Enlivened with realistic dialogue and lifelike characters, Kizman shines on creating backstories, especially about Maxine's dysfunctional family, leading her astray. Her father, Maxwell, who's working miles away, was a good provider but lacked emotional support, turning her into a party girl at the age of thirteen. However, Kizman further glows the book on spiritual aspects, where characters redeem themselves and speak fervent prayers and Bible verses; hence, themes of transformation and redemption are present aside from friendship and romance.

The prose is descriptive and conversational, and the narrative's transition to the subplot is seamless, as with Martha's engagement failure with Timothy. Samantha, Aliki, and Starrr's quick friendship and how they support Rebecca's softball team, Sister Saints, show the true meaning of genuine camaraderie.

At a moderate pace, Kizman introduces characters that develop over time, and the reader's excitement about the following scenes escalates, especially about the seductive move of Maxine that shocked Rebecca. The narrative is sprinkled with devotional actions and teachings that bring profound life lessons, as with the story of the apple tree who wants stars.

Without warning, Kizman stops the scenes with a sudden cliffhanger ending, making readers crave the sequel. Relatable to people with faith, especially Christian believers, "Being Afternoon Rebecca" will quench your thirst. It drives me to read more of Kizman's works!

Rebecca is a feisty and creative spirit as she works her way through new friends and group activities. Along the way, she encounters a cast of quirky characters, including Maxine, her encouraging friend, and Starrr, the teenage volunteer with great promise. This book illustrates a set of situations that define the value of community, the strength of faith, and the happiness of self-discovery. The themes of love, redemption, and interpersonal relationships are intertwined to paint a picture of inspiration and hope.

What I appreciate in this book is how it imparts valuable lessons through day-to-day life. The characters are real and relatable, and each of them has an individual perspective of the story. I also think that the first-person narrative of the book allows readers to feel close to the characters, so their experiences and growth become intimate and meaningful. There is nothing to dislike about this book since it balances its themes with good storytelling and well-developed characters to perfection. Everything unfolds smoothly in the story, and the author's ability to capture the essence of small-town living adds charm and verisimilitude to the tale. The inspiring message and positive tone make it a good read for anyone seeking inspiration and reassurance.

I would give this book 5 stars because of its engaging storyline, relatable characters, and meaningful themes like faith, friendship, and self-realisation. The book draws an emotional response from the readers and depicts the strength that is found in strong communities. It is highly recommended for readers who enjoy stories of friendship, love, and how individuals can be impacted by faith.

This book plunges into the world of Rebecca Firkins, a young woman juggling faith, friendship, and a hint of romance as she figures out her place in the world. Things start to get interesting after Rebecca's first date with Jeff, a guy she met on a Christian dating app, because, hey, modern love stories come with apps these days. As she reflects on how far she has come, her story, with a sense of community in mind, weaves into her roommate's journey. Maxine is Rebecca's roommate, an endearingly messy woman putting her life back together and growing through the bond between Rebecca and their shared church life. Whether it is in love, friendship, or finding purpose, these characters are in it together, and their journey is as heartfelt as it is relatable.

Honestly, I am in love with Rebecca Firkins. She is the kind of character that I wish to conserve in a bottle and store on the shelf for when life gets thick. She oozes warmth and resilience around her; she could be the heart and soul of Being Afternoon Rebecca.

Her story kicks off in the quirkiest way, basically, a blind date set up through the Church Chat Christian Dating app, and yes, as I mentioned before, that is a thing. Enter Jeff, her date, who is clearly in for a treat. Rebecca brings all her charm to the table, even sketching the view for him as a little keepsake. Who does that? Rebecca does.

Mornings in Rebecca’s world are nothing short of a vibe. Picture her waking up, hitting play on her favorite tunes, and starting the day with prayer; it is like her own little pep rally with God. Then there is her roommate, Maxine, who gets the full Rebecca experience over breakfast. They are not just sharing toast; they are swapping life stories and laughter, because Rebecca’s the type who always makes time for connection.

What is incredible about Rebecca is how seamlessly she juggles it all, her faith, her personal life, and her commitment to others, with this unshakable positivity. She is proof that even when life throws its curveballs, a little grace and a lot of heart can see you through. Honestly, she is the kind of person you root for from the very first page and the reason for my perfect 5-star rating.

Why do I give this book such a glowing 5 star review? It is an absolute gem, full of heart and faith, warm hug stuff, and friendships as real as any of your own. Meet Rebecca Firkins: strong in her Christian faith and tackling modern day dating, literally via an app set up via the church. She is on top of all of that along with doing life with her absolute, utter bestie Maxine. Meanwhile, Maxine brings her own story of healing from a rather rugged past, and together, these two are the kind of friends you want in your corner. They laugh, lean on each other, and with faith and determination, take on whatever life throws their way.

Man, Jeff Linn's character is just unforgettable. From the second he appeared on the page, there was this effortlessness in his sincerity, like, you know, that kind of guy who listens when you talk and remembers little things. His first date with Rebecca? Charm incarnate. You can just tell right from that moment he is genuinely interested in her and is not just passing the time away by talking to her about niceties. And let us talk about his morning routine: the guy wakes up to Riley Clemmons and talks to his parrot, Sparrow. If that does not scream "thoughtful and introspective," I do not know what does.

Plus, the whole mix up where he and Rebecca forget to exchange numbers? Instead of shrugging it off, he actually puts in the effort to find her again. That determination is so rare in modern romance, and it just makes their story even sweeter. But what really seals the deal for me is how he is supportive; he is not there just for the romantic moments; he shows up for Rebecca, quite literally and figuratively.

How is he really into her softball games and would want to be there? That's the sort of subtle yet powerful niceness that sets him apart. He has the perfect blend of humor, sincerity, and old school gentleman vibes without ever feeling outdated or cliché.

Allow me to paint the picture of this utterly delightful little book, which brings to center stage the life of Rebecca Firkins. Following a date with Jeff that was nothing short of a grand slam, Rebecca embarks on some serious soul searching, questioning past choices, re evaluating her future, and learning just how much her wonderfully oddball, tight knit town truly means to her.

Against the backdrop of a small town where everyone knows your name and pretty much your business, this is a heartfelt patchwork about faith, friendship, and growth. Through the ups and downs of life, Rebecca and Maxine learned that belonging can be remarkably powerful, strength found from steadfast faith can be strong, and that a journey through love and forgiveness can be quite messy beautifully so, in fact.

Now, let me talk to you about Aliki Ariti, who is literally an energy filled whirlwind, blowing creativity into every room she steps into. Just think of one whose zest for life is so contagious that anytime with her, you would get swept up in her enthusiasm. That is Aliki for you! She is one of those big dreaming types who make it happen, like the time she decided to hop on her trusty bicycle and pedal all the way to Hanover College for a fundraising adventure. Talk about devotion!

Aliki is a combination of friendships and fun. This particular character can solely make this book perfect and worthy of 5 stars. With Starrr and Samantha, life is simply fantastic, with nothing but a flow of laughs in the room deep into the midnight hours. It is just these moments shared, just the movie marathon after night pizza, drawing colorful posters around them. Those are what keep their friendship at its finest quality.

The heartwarming story in Mike J. Kizman's book explores faith together with friendship along with personal development as its central themes. The story follows Rebecca when she and her companions face social and individual growth challenges. The book distinguishes itself because it strongly integrates Christian faith as a prominent feature in how the characters live their lives. This book covers spirituality and individual development with faith, which represents a dominant point absent from numerous modern novels. The writing method establishes characters we can understand, which leads to interesting character narratives.

I fell in love with this piece because, through narrative, the book examines genuine modern-day relationship issues that people face today. The book's additional elements enable readers to identify with its content because they confront similar challenges. Readers will find inspiration in how the characters approach their life challenges because their responses feel genuine yet serve as examples for self-reflection, while "Being Afternoon Rebecca" seeks to find enthusiasm among audiences focusing on faith-based literature. Those who pursue inspirational literature will appreciate the story because it promotes faith-based personal improvement.

Readers seeking exclusively secular material may not strongly appreciate the Christian values featured in this text because it targets a narrow audience segment a tiny bit, but I think this book story covers all those excesses. I give a solid 5 stars for all these reasons.

"Being Afternoon Rebecca" is a narrative about Rebecca Firkins and best friend Maxine Little growing, finding faith, and dealing with relationships. Rebecca, a church activity leader, begins dating Jeff, whom she met through a Christian dating app. Meanwhile, Maxine copes with a rough past and seeks forgiveness working at a library. With a supportive community, including a vibrant church softball league and friendly friends, their lives become easier. The narrative discusses forgiveness, self-discovery, and friendships in a small community in which characters have a shared faith journey.

What sets Rebecca Firkins apart is that she is thoughtful and inventive. One such memorable episode is when she creates a view at Center Park during her first date with Jeff. By crafting a little present for Jeff, she reveals her drawing talent and skill in creating memorable experiences. Her morning routine, including prayer, thinking, and singing, reflects her reflective and caring personality. Rebecca's dedication to work at St. Sister Christian Church, in which she organizes the Children's Ministry, reflects her concern for others. Her conversation with Fae, in which she employs a narrative about an apple tree in describing worth and gifts of God was one of my major takeaways and she is a likable character for it. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars and recommend to book enthusiasts who appreciate one-of-a-kind stories.

A love story kicking off when Rebecca swiped into Jeff on a Christian dating app, this is not a love story. This is a soulful plunge into faith, friendship, and finding your place in the world. Rebecca and her roommate, Maxine, navigate through the antics of church commitments, softball games, and chaos-filled everyday life.

Maxine's journey hits hard. She has been through hell, battling her personal demons with alcohol, but she has clawed her way back toward a better life. As for Rebecca? She has been right there with her, the rock, her cheerleader, to remind her that everyone deserves another chance. Their bond is raw and real; more like sisters who choose each other.

I have to say, the story of Maxine "Max" Little is one I really love, and for this reason alone, I gave this book a perfect 5 stars. She did not have it easy: growing up with a mother who battled alcoholism meant chaos was the norm, and more often than not, it spiraled Max into a world of partying and lousy decisions. Peer pressure pulled her in, but deep down, she wanted more.

What saved her? Well, it was books, schoolwork, and a father who never gave up on her. Through sheer determination and a lot of soul-searching, Max turned her life around. However, the real game changer was a random encounter with Pastor Paul, who handed her a New Testament. That single moment sparked something inside her, a slow yet powerful transformation to faith.

Max's friendship with Rebecca is one that sticks, even when things seem to tear people apart. Together, they have gone through ups and downs, proof that a real friend is one's lifeline. These days, being a librarian and an active member of her church community, Max is all about uplifting others, just like she once was uplifted. Her story is not just inspiring; it is a tale of second chances, faith, and those kinds of friendships that keep you standing when life tries to knock you down.

In this book, we are introduced to Rebecca Firkins, who embarks on a candid journey of love and self-discovery in her small hometown. Following a particularly poignant date with Jeff, Rebecca catches herself daydreaming about what the future might hold for her. a feeling with which anyone can identify, especially when it involves faith.

This is a tale not only of small town life but also of spirited softball games and the local church serving as more than events; it serves as the heartbeat of the community. As Rebecca and Maxine work their way through their personal and spiritual problems, they begin to realize that in many ways, forgiveness, hope, and a little bit of community can lighten the path ahead.

Pastor Sam Freeze is not only a leader, but he is the heart and soul of this church, a type of guy who makes sure you are seen, heard, and supported wherever you are in life. You know how much this is needed in today's reality. Interactions with Rebecca and the congregation are not a formality with him; it is a real time of care and connection.

He has this natural way of checking in, like when he asks Rebecca about the development of her committee, not because he wants to put something off his checklist but because he genuinely wants her to succeed. This is why I gave the book 5 stars because the author did a good job in writing this character. Whether it be guiding someone through the tough choices or lighting up the room during children's time, he is a continuing force of warmth and wisdom.

The Church Chat Christian Dating continues its purpose to help the hopefuls in their quest in finding love. Here comes Mike J. Kizman's Being Afternoon Rebecca to keep us up to date on Afternoon Rebecca and Jeff67 in their sweet and inspiring romance.

Rebecca wakes up with a worship song from Jeff's celebrity crush. It's a series of dates for some time already in a "keeping the mystery alive" and "not committed" kind of set-up. She entertains some other matches but wants to take it to the next level with Jeff. She wants to help to spread the good vibes and good purpose to others. One is to her roommate Max.

Simultaneously, they practice for the church's women softball competition, with quite the new generations in their assigned committees.

Max updates on her date with Dish Man while Rebecca and Jeff serve as the catalysts and guardians. Will Max and Dish Man going to get it right the first time? Will Rebecca and Jeff going to keep it mystery forever?

This sequel promises more exhilarating events romantically, work, pleasure or teenage and adult life. The idea of having youngsters in the story shows sisterly love and nurturing. The relationship status of Rebecca and Jeff are suggesting good options for a healthy relationship for those who are comfortable and fitted on them. Its theme on religion and the church activities are good examples to include in extracurricular activities. I give a well-deserved five-star rate for all the remarks above.

I highly recommend to all readers, for the ones who can relate, but significantly for readers having inspirational love stories in their journey of love.

Mike J. Kizman’s "Being Afternoon Rebecca" is a heartwarming and multifaceted novel that blends romance, friendship, sports, and faith into a compelling narrative. Set in a fictional county in Central Indiana, the book follows Rebecca Firkins as she navigates the excitement and uncertainty of a budding romance while balancing her passions and responsibilities.

After an incredible first date with Jeff Linn, Rebecca is eager to see where their connection leads. Meanwhile, her roommate Maxine "Max" Little carries her hopes and insecurities, longing for love but unsure if anyone will look past her complicated past. Their intertwined journeys of self-discovery, faith, and romance are at the heart of the story, offering a touching exploration of personal growth and second chances.

But "Being Afternoon Rebecca" is not just about love, there is a strong sense of community and purpose woven throughout. Rebecca and Max also play for a minor league professional softball team that is brainstorming ways to attract more fans. Max is also striving for a promotion at the library, while Rebecca enlists the help of a teenager from her church, Starrr Fields, to revamp the youth program. Meanwhile, Starrr and her friends Samantha Kitt and Aliki Ariti are working together on a charity bike ride to support the Joyful Heart Foundation, adding another layer of depth to the novel.

Kizman masterfully balances these multiple storylines, crafting a book that is not only entertaining but also uplifting. The characters are relatable and well-developed, each facing their challenges while supporting one another in meaningful ways. The blend of romance, sports, and faith-driven themes makes this a refreshing read that will appeal to a wide audience.

At its core, "Being Afternoon Rebecca" is a story about love in all its forms. Mike J. Kizman’s Being Afternoon Rebecca follows Rebecca, a young woman navigating faith, friendships, and the awkward-yet-sweet world of online dating. The story kicks off with her first date with Jeff, whom she meets through a Christian dating app. As the novel unfolds, we see her juggling her role in the church, her friendships, especially with her best friend and roommate Maxine, and her position as a bullpen catcher for a local softball team. The book blends romance, faith, and small-town charm while offering glimpses into Rebecca’s struggles, doubts, and moments of personal growth.

One thing that really stood out to me was how effortlessly Kizman captures everyday interactions. The dialogue feels natural, full of warmth, humor, and little quirks that make the characters feel real. Take, for instance, the lunch scene between Rebecca and Maxine at Scott’s Dogs and Diner. Their playful banter about Rebecca’s “weird” way of eating a gyro had me grinning. These small, mundane moments add richness to the story, making it feel like you’re eavesdropping on real conversations rather than reading fictional ones. There were a few moments where the book leans more toward telling rather than showing. At times, emotions are spelled out rather than unfolding naturally through actions.

Another strong aspect of the book is the balance between faith and personal struggles. Rebecca isn’t some flawless heroine. She’s full of self-doubt, second-guessing everything from her feelings about Jeff to her role in the church. One of the best moments is when she reassures a young girl struggling with prayer, telling her that “it’s not about asking for what you want but about establishing a relationship with God”. It’s such a simple but powerful reminder, and it showcases Rebecca’s wisdom and kindness.

Being Afternoon Rebecca is a heartwarming read perfect for anyone who enjoys faith-based fiction with a slice-of-life feel. It’s not overly preachy, nor does it shy away from the messiness of relationships and self-discovery. If you like stories about friendship, small-town charm, and sweet romance with a touch of humor, this book is well worth picking up.

Rebecca Firkin is a small town girl with a giant of a heart and a giant in her faith; she is a very devoted Christian searching through the shallow waters of love and friendship and trying to decipher God's plan for her life. Full of promises, as it felt with Jeff one night, her thoughts linger on her faith in God and all the beauty that surrounds her future, supported by those within her immediate circle of loved ones.

Meanwhile, her roommate Maxine is fighting battles of her own. She has a past, not one that she is too proud of, but with Rebecca's steadfast friendship and the embracing arms of their church, second chances are starting to look good. From Sunday services to church potlucks to stepping up to the plate on their favorite St. Sister Sister Saints softball team, these two women find strength in faith and each other.

Starrr Fields is a real firecracker. She has that kind of unstoppable energy that just electrifies everyone around her, making them feel like they can take on the world. From the very moment she steps into the story, she is abuzz with enthusiasm, especially the moment she is handed the reins of her very own church committee. She is not only honored but thrilled, diving right in with big ideas and even bigger determination.

She makes friends very easily; Samantha and Aliki take to her right away, and honestly, who would not? She is so warm, funny, and full of great ideas. Whether it is brainstorming church events or hanging out during a sleepover with pizza and books, this is one friend who makes every occasion an adventure, and I just love it. It makes me give a rating of 5 stars.

But then, of course, when she encounters Jerry Holt, Starrr proves there is a bit more to her than rainbows and high fives; she has teeth. She will not be shaken; she shows she can take on what needs to be faced and speak loud and clear. It is her journey through aspects of leadership, courage, and deep friendship that makes her one of the characters you won't help but like.

Mike J. Kizman writing creates an emotional landscape through its narrative. Rebecca's character explores aspects of self-development and romance while dating Jeff after their match on a dating site. Rebecca builds positive expectations for her relationship because they bonded sincerely on their first date but the book's story goes deeper, exploring themes of friendship, faith, and personal growth.

When I read this story, it brought back memories about a friend who searched for sincere relationships through social outing encounters. Rebecca story follows the same pattern of endurance that my close friend demonstrated which just connected with me deeply throughout the entire narrative.

This book also explores diverse aspects that shape relationships while examining how people evolve throughout life. The path toward personal growth consists of two kinds of people: people who aim to start fresh after trauma and those who rely on faith and friendships on their journey. Rebecca's narrative demonstrates that faith and solid friendships can bring immense power to accomplish difficult tasks. How did she do this? Read the story that unfolds about her life throughout the book.

Mike J. Kizman adds to the comprehension of the story through his use of modern language which creates a optimistic atmosphere for Rebecca's character. Amazing precision in editing establishes five out of five stars as the rating. To explore Rebecca's character along with the book's themes readers should study how she interacts with her friends throughout the story.

The narrative also progresses at a measured pace, which enables readers to feel everything Rebecca feels in her daily life as well. The emotional depth of the novel stands out in its heart-touching scenes where Rebecca reveals her previous romantic pain and her desires for her future.

'Being Afternoon Rebecca" written by Mike J. Kizman takes readers through an exploration of relationship dynamics while exploring the themes of faith and individual development. Rebecca Firkins moves through her life as she connects with Jeff Linn romantically and Maxine Little emotionally. Throughout the story Rebecca determines herself through a journey of discovery while experiencing different life-changing events which the title "Being Afternoon Rebecca" symbolizes.

The story seamlessly connects its central elements about love, faith, friendship and finding redemption. The date between Rebecca and Jeff brought me to tears because of her openness which let her allow the unknown become a foundation for their genuine bond. The tale of Maxine's history battling alcohol followed by her spiritual and financial success in life touched me too. The trusting friendship between Rebecca and her mother strengthens the entire story. Character camaraderie and unity becomes most evident when they share eating meals or talk with each other.

The book lacked any negative element from beginning to end. This was a satisfying because it presents compelling characters along with an intriguing plot. The book receives my highest rating of 5 out of 5 stars due to its positive qualities. This book should be read by people who like stories which present well-developed characters along with significant thematic elements.

Afternoon Rebecca by Mike J. Kizman provides a charming story full of humour, romance, and reflection. Each thoughtfully constructed chapter is composed to engage readers across a range of emotions, all while inciting an eagerness to find out what happens next. I cannot really place a single theme on this book story because of its awesome mix, but you will find yourself drawn to Jeff's story as he begins his foray into the world of online dating.

Taking place in the fictitious Abston County, this story could easily be everyone's experience in the world of online dating. In "Readying," I was already laughing out loud at Jeff's nervousness when he turns to his pet parrot, Sparrow, in an effort to help him decide what he should wear. The humorous encounters throughout this book show the author's ability to develop a story, being sure to add dialogue that is so clever and likeable long after reading.

While humor may be the standout criterion of my favorite chapter, I also loved Chapter 4 as it deals with the themes of survival and faith. The story of Hannah's life from losing Zach and finding herself will tug at the heart of every reader.

This story brings a human element to the idea of faith, romance, and suspense, catching readers off guard so that their hearts will be touched and perhaps end in tears. I give this a 5-star rating and recommend it to audiences who need some emotional story.

This story is based on the life of Rebecca Firkins, which started on her first date with Jeff via a Christian dating app. Here, the readers get an opening into Rebecca's mind, her friendships, and her faith, which help in understanding her actions and choices throughout the book. The themes of faith, friendship, and hunting for meaningful relationships are what this book elaborates on. Knowing Rebecca's friendship with Maxine, who has her own difficult past, was so helpful in helping me see just how important support and understanding are in overcoming life's challenges.

Maxine's story is a big part of the book. Her childhood was tough, marked by neglect and poor parenting. Her transformation from a troubled teen to a responsible one is why I love this story so much. I love this because it shines in its portrayal of friendship and faith as the main supports in the characters' lives. The book's story captures the ups and downs of relationships and personal growth.

I give this book a 5 out of 5. It's engaging and offers a real look at the challenges of finding love and keeping faith. The cover is simple and was able to get me interested too. I recommend "Being Afternoon Rebecca" to those who enjoy stories about friendship, faith, and personal growth.

This novel explores love together with faith and self-discovery in a thoughtful and touching reading experience. Rebecca Firkins attempts to find connection through her date with Jeff, whom she met through a Christian dating application.

By holding daily reflective moments and talking with her best friend, Maxine, Rebecca gains understanding about her emotions and faith as well as her future directions. Through a series of everyday meaningful experiences, the novel creates an engaging reading ambiance.

The story brings a serene satisfaction to readers through its contemplative nature. As for the target audience, readers in their 20s to older adults who like introspective tales will find value in it.

The novel also uses a simple design with readable text that enhances easy comprehension. It also maintains a clear font size, which creates pleasant visual comfort throughout its pages. The author displays a proportional use of descriptive elements and presents vibrant emotional states without complexities.

The story lets its romantic elements grow organically and includes religion with genuine authenticity throughout the narrative. I would say that every moment throughout the novel reads as plausible.

The novel delivers an enriched reading experience to those who want a deeply moving story about real characters as well. I highly recommend it to readers who value romantic stories and personal introspection together with faith-inspired content.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book's narration, as the character development is consistent and feels genuine. The concept of an afternoon serves as a potent metaphor for the transient nature of life; as the day transitions from light to dusk, it visibly and bittersweetly symbolizes the passing of time. I rate the book five out of five stars because it is exceptionally great. However, the pacing felt uneven because the novel revolves around internal reflection rather than external events. The book's reliance on disjointed ideas and abstract concepts deviates from the conventional pattern of tension, climax, and resolution.
