Sinful Lament

Rate this book
In a world where violence feels like truth and desire tastes like sin, two broken souls find themselves orbiting the same darkness.

He hunts to feel alive. She bleeds just to remember she is.Sosa Corsano lives in the shadows, a predator searching for meaning in the chaos he creates; Greer Jennings has spent her life surviving ghosts, craving danger she can’t explain.

Of course, neither expected the other, but once they meet, isolation turns into addiction, and obsession becomes the only language they speak.

Together, they build a world where pain is devotion, silence is intimacy, and nothing pure survives because when you find the person who mirrors your madness, walking away isn’t an option.

Dark. Erotic. Consuming. Sinful Lament is a descent into obsession you won’t escape unchanged.

Go in blind with zero reserves

I had the pleasure of reading this delicious dark novel on a whim and was not disappointed. Sosa and Greer are two broken halves of the same coin that push and pull each other into the deepest depths of each other psyche.

The character development is beautifully written and Salem does a masterful job in creating vivid scenes of pain, anguish, lust and possessiveness between Sosa and Greer. For those who are visual and auditory learners, Salem provides movie-like imagery woven together through her wordsmith; a true artist in her craft.

This book is DARK and has a lot of triggers so if blood, death, mutilation, assault or suicide to name a few best to walk away now but I promise if you choose to read; you won’t be disappointed.

This is for the readers who crave dark romance in its darkest, dead of night, pitch black self. This is for the reader who wants to see two broken souls push each other to be worse, not better.

I (re)started, officially and uninterrupted, yesterday morning and have not put it down. Every chapter was an escalation of the delicious parts of my mind I keep locked and only comes out to play with other unhinged souls like Sosa and Greer. I LOVED IT 😍 is it okay to admit that? Bc that one chapter....with that....and they did.... can I admit 🔥 🥵 😈 👅 👀

This book is not for the weak.
I loved every word of it, except his age. He could have been a bit older.
It is a dark, dark book that shows very well, that every human has a dark side. If it comes out to play, it depends.
The characters are well written and made for each other. They match in darkness, craziness and in play.🫣
Let's see what the second book brings.

Salem Morgan’s Sinful Lament is a captivating start to the Fatal Devotion series, offering readers an intoxicating blend of passion, forbidden desires, and deep emotional turmoil. This dark romance pulls you into a world where the love is unconventional and intoxicating.

The story follows Greer, a woman whose life takes a dramatic turn when she’s drawn into a dangerous relationship with the brooding and enigmatic Sosa. Their connection is electric yet fraught with tension, as they both battle the weight of their own demons. Morgan masterfully explores their complex dynamic, crafting moments of tenderness and intensity that keep the reader hooked.

The novel excels in its exploration of raw human emotions—love, lust, shame, and yearning.

Sinful Lament is not just a romance; it’s a deep dive into the complexities of the human heart. It’s perfect for readers who enjoy morally gray characters, forbidden love, and emotionally charged narratives. Salem Morgan has crafted a story that’s as beautiful as it is heartbreaking, leaving readers eager for the next installment in the series.
