Bellann Summer lives in the middle of nowhere with her husband and children surrounded by lakes and woods. In the summer Bellann enjoys fishing, camping, gardening and growing flowers. Autumn is spent out in the woods exploring the beautiful colors and nature at its finest. In the winter there is ice fishing, snowmobiling and sitting in front of the wood fireplace. She has always loved to read and any free time is spent with a book in her hand. When major life changes occurred, she decided to try writing what she liked to read. And it worked.
So I have no idea wtf happened here but this was extremely boring. The Rescue for hire series is actually pretty good! So same author and same characters but awful book...? And tbh I dont even understand the set up. Having a mc who is a cowboy means nothing if 90% of the book is spent off the ranch! Cowboys arent interesting or sexy if they arent BEING cowboys! Am I right or am I right? The book was just written strangely. It starts at a baseball event then the bulk of the story is set at a rehab hospital facility. There are a number of things that happen for no reason. Such as graham and Tyler dropping everything to go to see pip and jack.., yet they were shocked when they ran into Tony tylers ex. The sex scenes were dry. Also apparently out of nowhere 3/4 thru the book Graham decides hes kinky now and then there is about half a page spent shaving tyler then a few pages later one vague sentence abt nipple rings. Whyyyyyy? It doesnt make sense. Like everything is an after thought. It was nice that Tyler had the opportunity to redeem himself in this book since I pretty much hated him till now lol. I wanted to like graham I really really did. But all I know abt him is that he likes the word Honey and horses and apparently has no emotion other than calm. Thats abt it....
We’re back to the viewpoint tangle, although it’s not as extreme as in the first few books of the parent series. There’s also a lot more detail and story development. All of which are good things.
Reconciling a reader with what Tyler has done in a previous book was going to be tough, and I am not quite sure it worked here. Maybe it did not have to work? Because the issue is dealt with here and I am left with the idea that people, indeed, do stupid things and mean things, but time and circumstances bring about change. So there’s no point hanging on to past crimes. It looks like this book did bring its message across to me, then.
Of course we once again have rich people, insta-love (slightly slowed down by a few easy-to-miss time jumps), debilitating injuries with consequences, and a very bossy big guy. Completely new to me with this author is the versatility of the protagonists in sexual terms. Pretty nice touch that has been much too long in coming.
Overall this felt kind of solid. And I don’t know if this is because I have read a lot of these books in a row recently and they improve that much, or if they would still feel as solid next to other stuff. Doesn’t matter. This one definitely was okay to read, though. Might have even liked it some. Rating really sucks. :P
I can’t believe it took me this long to realize Bellann Summer wrote Tyler Hayward’s story. Where the hell have I been? Tyler’s brothers, Brad and Brian (Pip) are both featured in books in the authors ‘Rescue for Hire’ series, along with Tyler’s ex, Tony. Because of having read those stories I was intimately familiar with a lot of Tyler’s background.
I was very happy to read this and see a Tyler find the man (and the love) he deserved. I’m looking forward to seeing more of Graham and Tyler plus reading more about the men from the Crazy Angle Ranch.
74 page story. Tyler who is Brian's brother from Rescue for Hire, and Graham a new character we have just meet in the first book of Men of the Crazy Angle Ranch. Good read. good to see Tyler get things sorted to how he wants not what his mother wants. Crazy Angle Ranch, Rescue for Hire, Granite County and Rescue for Hire West are all connected.
The story of Tyler and Graham is heart warming, the sex is steamy like most of Bellann Summer's stories are. The trials her characters get past seem all too real and makes the stories that much more enjoyable to read... as an author I enjoy books like this.
To be honest, I thought everything happened too fast. Why couldn't he do what Tyler do what he did with Graham that he did with Tony? I didn't understand the HUGE turnaround so fast. There was no fear or anything. I love insta-love, but this just didn't work for me :(
I hated the way Tyler's mother treated him. I wish he had the backbone to do more in getting her off his back. I loved the way Graham and Tyler grew together and the way they handled Tyler's career being ended.
Hi just finished reading Tyler's transformation and God online and bought the rest of the books it is a great read and I plan on reading more tonight until I finished the series I recommend it to all of my friends and even to the ones I don't know good read
Oh how I craved for Tyler to tell his mom to shut the hell up. I enjoyed how Graham took care of Tyler and stood up for him. Too insta love and too quick for me to really enjoy it completely.
Tyler is an under the thumb pro baseball player who gets injured in a car crash and finds love and the meaning of life after pro ball with a tall sexy cowboy
