A near accident. A mysterious stranger. A love that feels like déjà vu.
Prisha Nair is content in her South Indian village, matchmaking neighbors and cherishing a simple life. A trip into town ends with her driver nearly hitting a child—a stranger intervenes to save the child and is struck instead. Now Prisha is responsible for a man with no memory, no identification, and a hospital bill she can’t afford.
Rohan Stone wakes knowing three things. Someone wants him dead, God is still God, and the woman who saved him feels strangely familiar. Though she doesn’t seem to know him, her kindness offers safety, and her village is the perfect place to stay. In exchange for a room, he offers to help rebuild her guesthouse. As village life slows his racing mind, fragments of a past he can’t fully grasp begin to surface— childhood memories of a girl who taught him to survive on the streets.
For Prisha, Rohan is temporary. Yet their shared past makes his presence anything but accidental. His quiet faith stirs questions about a God she’s never considered, and his patience dismantles walls she didn’t know she’d built.
But every memory he regains pulls him closer to the life he left behind—and cuts deeper into their borrowed time. The truth forces Prisha to face what she already fears— Rohan was never meant to stay.
When his memory fully returns, can love bridge the gap between a billionaire’s world and a village matchmaker’s quiet life, or will his past pull him away for good?

What an amazing story! One filled with suspense, hope, love, and faith sprinkled all throughout!
When Pri takes on the care of Rohan after he's hit by a car, she isn't expecting to get so close to him. He's there to heal, help her with her business, and hopefully regain his memory in the meantime. Love was not in the plans, but as they share their past and Rohan ingratiates himself into his new surroundings, his presence starts to grow on her. But as he unpacks his memories, there comes with it the reality of their different lives... and whether they can truly have a future together.
This was so wonderful, and I loved the setting, the details, and his backstory of adoption. The chemistry between these two was so powerful! I look forward to the spin-off series... Who is going to turn Owen's head enough to slow him down, enough to settle down?!
I gave this a 4.5, rounded to a 5!
I received a complimentary copy. This review reflects my honest opinion.
Sometimes, you need that class-breaking, memory-crashing kind of love 😌
I literally reached the epilogue and went, “Wait… we’re ending already?!” 😭 I was genuinely shocked that something this beautiful could wrap up so soon.
Like the monsoon left its evidence, this book has definitely left a mark on me. I was completely involved in Rohan and Prisha’s story, heart, mind, and soul. This was such a sweet story about a guy who knew exactly who he wanted, even when he didn’t fully know who he was. The way their love slowly, gently wrapped its hands around me and pulled me in was phenomenal.
The way the world of the extremely wealthy intertwined with the lives of those with far less didn’t feel forced or dramatic. It unfolded in such a natural, believable way.
And Rohan and Prisha? They just felt meant to be. Even when he didn’t know he had a dime to his name, he was ready to take care of her, to show up for her. The quiet, grounding way their love grew was everything.
There’s something so wholesome about watching two beautiful souls find each other and become each other’s safe place. And I’ll always love seeing people who carry the weight of everyone else finally get the chance to put their feet up and be swept away.
And Anika? That spicy side character gave me life 😌 Her spunk elevated the entire story. Every book needs an Anika.
Overall, this is a must-get in my opinion. Go ahead and preorder this amazing work by Rose, your heart will thank you later 🤍
This is a really good Christian contemporary romance. Set in India, our billionaire hero has lost his memory and is dealing with amnesia. Our heroine Pri discovers him and their lives are thrown together as she tries to help him through life. The mistaken identity trope was woven in really well. I don’t normally like amnesia romances but this book was way better than I expected and I really enjoyed it. One of my favorite parts was learning about Indian village culture and life. That’s one aspect I really appreciate about a lot of Fresquez’s books - the cultural aspects she includes and weaves in. I’m sad to see this series end but I’m excited for a new one to begin.
I received an eARC of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I loved this book, this whole series has been such a great series, I love how lot of her characters kind of intertwined in different books series. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about Indian village culture lifestyle. It was very intriguing and why I really love about this author’s books. I was not wanting this book to end, especially being this is the last book of the series. I’m glad I was able to get the chance to read it.
I received an E-copy arc of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
I love this story in The Billionaire's Reunion Series. It's been quite awhile since we got another story of one of these many siblings. The series is about the lives of these eleven siblings. There are ten brothers with each one of them being adopted into the Stone family and one sister who is the biological child of their parents. Every year one of the siblings take charge of the annual family reunion. This story takes place in a small Indian Village that is recovering from a bad monsoon.
Prisha Kapoor owns a small guesthouse that has taken a lot of damage from the yearly monsoons. She needs to do repairs to her guesthouse so she can continue to pay back the loan she took to buy it. She hires a driver to take her to the busy city to purchase some of the repair materials. The driver nearly runs over a child and instead hits a stranger who intervenes. Prisha feels responsible so she takes him to the tiny hospital to get treated. On the way she tries to keep him awake by talking to him. She tells him her name which the man who has no memory, no identification and no money remembers. As she plans to leave him in the hospital, the nurse thinks he is her boyfriend.
Rohan Stone has no memory of who he is as his most recent memories is that someone tried to kill him. He was rescued from the water and cared for by a fisherman for days, who dropped him off in the city and now he was hit by a car and in a hospital. The only other thing that seems familiar is the name of the woman who brought him to the hospital Prisha. When he begs her to not leave him alone in the hospital, she spends the night in the chair. She also brings him food and clothes and since he has no memory she agrees to take him to her home to recover. She even makes arrangements to pay for his hospital bill.
Even though Rohan doesn't remember who he is, he still remembers his relationship with God. As he discovers the reason that the name Prisha is familiar and how the Lord reconnected him with her. She had saved his life when he was a young child and an orphan on the streets. She was also an orphan and she took him and others under her wing to help them survive. Now so many years later, he had found her even though he wasn't looking for her. Rohan is determined to help her restore her guesthouse while he recovers his strength and his memories.
I love how his family worked together to find their missing brother.
I received a copy of this book from the author and this is my honest unbiased review.
India, a man with amnesia and a hidden story, together with a kind hearted lady and boom! an amazing story. I thoroughly enjoyed A Surprise Rescue. This is book 6 in the Billionaire Reunion Series and can be read as a standalone. Meet Prisha and Rohan, connected by a past that at the beginning they didn't remember. Prisha ever kindhearted, offered help to Rohan when an accident happened, bringing their paths together. Despite her financial situation, she couldn't bear to leave Rohan uncared for, deciding to take him under her care. In A Surprise Rescue, you meet a woman with a kind heart, a man who irrespective of his circumstances clings tight to God and many more endearing characters. From the first page, this book intrigues, drawing one into the dynamics of friendship, hope and faith. The encouragement, support and the courage to push on leaps out from the pages of this book. As Rohan regains his memory- from the unknown to a billionaire, Prisha realizes that despite change in financial status, true love doesn't die. In all that happens, God's Hand is at work. The amnesia, the pain and the struggles strengthened Rohan's faith and taught him to appreciate life. Similarly, Prisha got to understand true faith, accept and experience God's love in ways she never imagined. God works in mysterious ways taking broken paths and restore, creating a stronger present and future. All this in the heart of India. The author truly brought the experience of India alive in this book as one can glimpse different aspects of India from page to page. A beautiful read of faith amidst trials and uncertainty, love and family bond and in many ways a reminder of God's faithfulness guidance and protection. I look forward to reading more books from this author. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I enjoyed this book that includes mystery, love, and faith, along with the flavors and culture of everyday life in a South Indian village. Prisha takes a man with amnesia to the hospital after her driver hits him with his car. When he awakes, the man asks her not to leave him & seems afraid. She can't seem to go home, buys him a meal, and clothes to wear. When the hospital releases him, she takes him home with her so she and her friend can help him recover. Her village is the perfect place to stay, and in exchange for a room, he offers to help Prisha rebuild her guesthouse that was damaged during the latest monsoon. As his memory starts returning, he learns that his name is Rohan, and while Pri's ways are different from his own, she seems vaguely familiar. He begins to remember more; namely, being hit over the head and being dumped into the sea, and left to die. Maybe it's better to stay where he is in the quiet village than in a city with a would-be killer? Day in and day out, Rohan and Pri discover growing affection for each other. Rohan makes everything in her come alive, especially her heart! Will she lose him when he regains to his own life? Does he have a wife and family? I loved the sweet and growing romance between Pri and Rohan and the kindness they extemded to everyone, despite their circumstances. I also loved Rohan's faith that touched so many. I highly recommend this clean and heartwarming story and look forward to reading the next book in this series. I received a complimentary ARC of this book and have given my honest opinion in this review.
In A Surprise Rescue, Rose Fresquez transports readers to the vibrant and richly detailed setting of India. The author takes her time describing the sights, sounds, and atmosphere of the surroundings, creating an immersive experience that makes you feel as though you are right there beside Prisha and Rohan. From the bustling streets to the quieter, more intimate moments, the setting becomes a living, breathing part of the story. After being hit by her taxi, Prisha offers to care for Rohan until he regains his memory. When she takes him back to her village, Rohan learns to appreciate the slower pace of village life. Even though he can’t remember his name, his family nor his life before the accident, there are some things, such as his faith, that he hasn’t forgotten. Can their blossoming love survive the separation that seems inevitable once he regains his memory? As Prisha and Rohan navigate the challenges before them, the vivid backdrop enhances both the tension and the emotional depth of their journey. Fresquez’s descriptive writing draws readers fully into the culture and environment, making the story not just something you read, but something you experience. Fans of heartfelt Christian romance with a strong sense of place will especially appreciate this beautifully crafted story.
Loved Rohan and Prisha's story!! Rohan and Prisha knew each other years ago, as children. They haven't seen each other since Rohan went to an orphanage, where he was adopted by the Stones. Rohan is back in India for his biological father's funeral, when he is abducted, beaten, and thrown into the ocean to die. However, a fisherman finds him, and then he is literally run into by Prisha. With amnesia, the only thing Rohan remembers is Prisha's name. Now, as he heals and waits for his memory to return, he and Prisha grow ever closer. Prisha knows that Rohan is not part of her world, and that when his memory returns, he will leave her forever. Rohan helps Prisha come to know God, but it's not until Rohan leaves that she truly comes to God. Prisha thinks Rohan won't return, Rohan has promised he will. Love how everything comes together!! This is the last in the Billionaires series, but thankfully, there's a new series that will start where this one leaves off, so we get even more of the Stone families stories!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book, was not required to leave a review, and the opinion expressed is my own.
From the start, Prisha knew she couldn’t turn him away. She risked her meager funds to feed and care for the stranger who risked his life for a child and was injured by her driver. Yet, Pri knew there was something familiar about him.
Despite his amnesia, Rohan is drawn to his benefactor. He works to repay her by repairing her guesthouse and working for the her suppliers. He’s content to do whatever is necessary to help her. And to be near her.
For me, the best part of the story was when he remembered his shared childhood with Prisha. They lived on the streets until he was adopted. Was it chance, fate or providence that they found each other again?
Their romance builds through their experiences of working together in rural India. Like other books by this author, the cultural insights are delightful and enriching.
Through it all, Rohan’s quiet faith in God draws Prisha in. No sermons, no soapboxes. Just a life lived out the way we are called to live—with trust and hope.
While this is a standalone book, I highly recommend reading the entire series and the precursor, The CEO’s Companion. I can hardly wait for the next series to read about Owen’s adventures.
When Rose first told me the loose premise for this story, I was expecting the danger at the beginning — the accident and amnesia — to drive a high-tension plot. But the story actually chooses a different path. It settles into village life and allows the romance to unfold in a much softer, more immersive way.
What stood out most to me is the sense of place. The South Indian setting feels textured and specific, and the cultural details — food, language, weddings, community rhythms — create a world that feels lived-in rather than decorative.
Rose especially excels at writing tender, quiet moments where love deepens through everyday interactions. The emotional connection builds less through dramatic conflict and more through shared space, devotion, and gentle reassurance.
This isn’t a fast-paced romantic suspense. It’s a faith-forward romance that lingers in atmosphere and intimacy. Readers who enjoy slower pacing and heartfelt, comforting love stories will likely find this very much in their lane.
I love Rose Fresquez’ books, but I was not so sure about this one when I found out it would include the Amnesia trope. It’s just not my favorite. It’s tricky to do right or well. Leave it to Rose to mater both! The reason for the amnesia, as well as the way it plays out was handled brilliantly.
This story is in many ways simple and yet it is a mix of mystery, community, faith and romance. It moves along slowly, but not in a way that drags. It is languid and adds to the feel of the setting. I don’t think Rohan would have appreciated the simplicity and pace of Prisha’s world if he had not had amnesia. Or more truthfully he wouldn’t have stopped long enough to experience it.
A number of Rose’s book are set outside the US. This one is in India. She does a wonderful job transporting the reader. I’ve never physically been to India, but I’ve been there in my mind… not just what is seen, but the taste, smells and sounds also. It truly felt like an immersive experience.
And as always, Rose includes a faith element… a very organic natural faith element. Not pushy or preachy, but realistic. Characters lived out their faith while others watched and responded as the Holy Spirit worked.
While this is the final book in a series (and I highly recommend the others), you can read the story as a standalone.
Ronan Stone had two lives… and he doesn’t remember either. He put himself in harms way when saving a child about to be hit by a car. Hero? Yes. But his bravery led to that car hitting him. Now he has no memory. All he remembers is his relationship with his Creator, that he saved a child and thinking someone wants him dead. Now the rescuer needs rescued.
Prisha Kapoor steps in to fill that role. She may be a stranger to Ronan, for now, but he definitely is no stranger to her. Whether she wants to remember it or not, they have a past… one many years ago, a time she stepped in and rescued him in a very different way. Ahhh but his life is very different now. Little by little Ronan starts to get memory blips, and with those blips he keeps wondering why Prisha seems familiar.
This storyline is full of hope, love, suspense… and family. I love Ronan’s family. If you’ve read any of the books in this series, you’ll know why. And, you’ll get to see that family again…
Last but surely not least, maybe, just maybe, Ronan and Prisha were meant to be.
This novel has a unique plot of two street orphans separated in childhood reuniting under very unusual circumstances. Rohan is injured with no memories and Prisha has a tender heart for helping others. Their time together brings his memories back and their friendship from years before renews into much more - a sweet and gentle story.
The descriptive wording brings South India to life with its sounds, smells, cultures, and traditions. It is a way of life I have never seen and the story made it real for me. Even Rohan’s more luxurious lifestyle in Dubai was vividly explained - a good job by the author.
I liked that they did not fight their attraction/affection for each other. They did have doubts and questions but just let things work out. No big breakups and heartbreaks.
I enjoyed the story. I received a complimentary copy from the author and these are my voluntary and honest opinions. I was not required to leave a positive review.
Wow! So glad I got to read Rohan and Prisha’s story. This is my favorite of this series and such a wonderful love story.
Rohan has no clue who he is when he’s rescued by a woman he doesn’t know. As he becomes a part of her vibrant community he finds a home but the questions still prick at his subconscious.
Prisha has learned to be self sufficient and find a type of contentment in hard work and helping others. When she instinctively helps Rohan she has no idea her world is about to be shaken.
Their romance happens in a sweet organic way as they work together, try to make sense of his slowly returning memory, and navigate their growing attraction.
I love how faith is threaded through the story and an integral part of Rohan’s life. This element of the book raises it from good to great. I highly recommend it.
This was an interesting story set in India. Rohan had run into the street to save a boy from being hit by a car. Unfortunately Rohan had been hit and had amnesia. Prisha and the cab driver saved Rohan by bringing him to a hospital.
I liked how even though Rohan had amnesia, he was able to remember his faith and how he prayed. The story was full of surprises as Rohan caught glimpses of his past and how he was sure he had known Prisha, the village's matchmaker, struggling to fix up her guest house after a monsoon.Thank goodness Rohan agreed to help her and share his faith and heart with her. I received an advance copy of this book, and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
4.5/5⭐️ One accident changes the trajectory of Prisha and Rohan’s lives. While they lead totally different lives, their past connects them. It was interesting to learn what happened in the past as Rohan slowly regains his memories bit by bit.
I loved the farming and harvesting analogy too. It is indeed difficult to trust at times, but we have to trust God regardless of the circumstances. I also enjoyed seeing how their relationship progressed in this sweet romance as they learned to work as a team.
Great story with wonderful characters. Rohan and Prisha have two very different “first” meetings, one as orphaned children, and the other when her car hits him as he is saving a child. I loved all their interactions between themselves and the village. Rohan doesn’t change when he remembers who he is. Even before that he never forgot his faith in God. Wonderful story that I highly recommend. I received this book from the author and this is my voluntary, honest review.
In this book you will read about two amazing people. Prisha and Anika are amazing women trying to get their guest house ready for guests. When Rohan gets hit by the car Prisha is riding in there lives will change forever. Rohan doesn’t know who he is and Prisha takes care of him. The author will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens in this incredible story.
Rose writes beautiful clean Christian romance. The Stone family blesses so many lives. It is sweet to see Rohan reunite with the girl who saved him as a child. A beautiful visit to India. You will feel like these characters are your family. Another beautiful story where faith overcomes fear.
This was an interesting book about how love and family carry us through even our darkest times. Memory, even when most of it is gone, still brings the love back us. Faith is a driving factor through it all. God’s love never fails. It was much harder to read than most books.
This is one of my favorite books in this series. I live Prisha and Rohan's story. They thought they were strangers, only to find out they knew each other as homeless children.
I received a free ARC, and this is my honest opinion.
I've enjoyed this entire series so very much. Rose is an amazing author but this last book, book 6 of the series, is my very very favorite. The message is she includes in it is fabulous and not to be missed.
I found it very difficult to put down this book. I always enjoy Rose Fresquez’s books, but this one was especially interesting. I loved the way that she introduced the reader to so many Indian customs, and of course, the romance part was first-rate.
A great story of Rohan, the brother mentioned in book 5 as asked to come to India for his birth father's funeral. He was waylaid, robbed & thrown into the ocean. As Rohan saves a young village child and hit by a car, two ladies are introduced to faith.
This book could be read as a standalone but does have characters that overlap throughout this series and others by Rose. Amnesia Deja vu Opposites attract Betrayal Found family Finding God
The test of real love - loving someone when they don't know who they are and you don't know what they're worth. A slow burn love set in a small rural village in India between a struggling female business owner and a man who is hurt & has amnesia. Beautifully written. As the story progresses, layers are peeled back between Rohan and Prisha, as they are on a journey exploring their relationship and Rohan's recovery of his memories. Even though the amnesia, Rohan's relationship with God is shown, as something so embedded in his personality, it shows through, even without the memories.
An awesome amnesia story! I really fell in love with PRI and Roger and I just love his faith in God. The story is entertaining and inspiring and really beautiful!
Thank you to the author for my gifted copy. All opinions are my own.
I haven't read many amnesia romances, but this one was quite fun to read. It was also set in in India which is a setting I also don't read many books in. I loved the cultural references to the region. The romance was sweet and innocent. The characters were well-written and developed. The plot was engaging and drove the story. I highly recommend!
