This can be read as a standalone. It is book 3 of 4 of the Huntsmen MC series, with a HEA. Due to mature content and themes, this book is recommended for readers aged 18+; this novel may contain triggers.
1. Needed editing. a. Wrong words. Eg. “reigns” instead of “reins”, “reem” instead of “ream”, “cloves” instead of “gloves”, “bull” instead of “Bull”, “I just wish she’d stop walk past me”. b. Missing words. “I’m never going to find because she was leaving me anyway.” c. Improper punctuation, especially commas instead of semi-colons. d. Improper sentence structure. Eg. “… causing her head to snap sideways, and stumble”. Her head stumbled??? 2. Inconsistencies. a. Steal’s attitude made no sense. In one sentence, he would admit that everything was his fault and agree that Faith was doing everything she could to provoke Cassidy and in the very next sentence he would accuse Cassidy of being “petty”. b. In chapter 6, when Faith helped Brute try to r@pe Cassidy, Cassidy was thinking, “They planned it. She wanted me out of the way, not realizing I was leaving anyway, and decided to do something so horrific. She’s pure evil.” A few paragraphs later, Cassidy thought, “I hear Faith giggle … and realization hits – She planned this with him to get me out of the way.” c. Cassidy broke up with Steal in a letter and signed it “Forever and always yours”. Ummm, gf, if you just broke up with him, you’re not his anymore. d. After Cassidy left him, Steal said, “She always had one foot out the door, and I know the Club and Faith were a big part of the reason.” WTF? They were the WHOLE reason. e. In chapter 9, Steal said to Trudy, “It’s been four years … at this point, she doesn’t want to be found.” So, up until this point, she DID want to be found? f. Steal said that until Cassidy “confirmed Faith had been watchdog while Brute attacked her”, they had “nothing to go on” and that once she did, Piston would know “what to look for on the other cameras”. This made zero sense. They knew exactly when the incident happened, and they also already suspected that Faith had been involved so they already knew exactly what to look for. g. Steal told Cassidy over and over that she was the most important thing to him and if it came down to it, he would choose her over the club. That was totally a lie; he chose the club and Faith over her every time. h. Even after everything that happened, Steal blamed Cassidy for their breakup. He said, “My relationship with Cass didn’t stand a chance because she wasn’t willing to fight for us, for me.” He also said, “She wasn’t willing to smack me and put me in my place.” That was bull$hit; they fought constantly about him putting the club and Faith before her. 3. Things that I didn’t like. a. Steal’s betrayal of Cassidy would have been much more effective if he’d done it because he didn’t believe her instead of because he was trying to protect her. b. Steal wanted to give up looking for Cassidy; it was his club brother who wanted him to keep looking for her. c. There were huge gaps in the story. For example, Nat was in the hospital, still in a coma after her emergency surgery with her pregnancy in jeopardy. Then the book just jumped to when she was healed and at home with her baby doing well. There were also several examples with Perrie, Cassidy’s sister. After Cassidy was found working in the ER, Perrie slapped her and wasn’t speaking to her (this happened off page and was just referred to in passing). Then, the book skipped to their relationship being back to normal and they were close again. Also, Perrie was r@ped on the same day that Steal betrayed Cassidy but it happened off page and and the book just skipped to the aftermath four years later. There was also a brief and very vague mention of Perrie being kidnapped by “Acid and Piston’s crazy a$$ father and Perrie’s ex-f*ck buddy” and that “both are now dead”. ???? d. Steal’s betrayal of Cassidy was unforgivable; it didn’t matter what his motives were. I kept reading because I wanted to see if he even came close to making it up to her. Spoiler … he didn’t. When Cassidy jumped back into bed with him, despite the fact that nothing had changed and he hadn’t done anything to earn her forgiveness, I was done. DNF

DNF PROLOGUE! I thought it was safe ish ( as much as a betrayal book can be ) read some reviews but Not 1 said this book opens with ON PAGE OW SEX SCENE. One in which the VIRGIN h hears the H fucking OW. The OW who goes on the cause a shit load of drama.
No thank you! I would have read had on page sex not happened or any OW sex for that matter.
It’s only February and I am almost 100% sure when I say this is the worst book I will read this year. Just wtf. This was so incredibly bad. The writing was awful, the story was more than awful. I will never understand how these books are written by women. “Property of steal”?????? Are you fr? Is that supposed to be romantic? He treated her like garbage and I will not be brainwashed into thinking that she was “making him work for it” when they were constantly having sex. Also, not them fucking after finding out their daughter had been kidnapped😭😭 . Last but not least, I HATED the way everyone treated women in this book as if they are their property… fucking disgusting. And I hated how they called the strippers “clubwhores”. There was not a single good thing about this, I don’t know how I managed to finish it
I’m just going to point out the elephant in the room - you know the big one taking up 2/3rds of the space - yeah that one. For me it was like reading the previous 2 books with added detail here and there. There was no gut punch, hurt or pain for me. It was kind of dare I say boring? I now understand there’s a fine art with producing a series and not overlaying every book in the series with all the same details. Perhaps Charlotte’s not an author for me anymore 🤷🏼♀️
Unfortunately my least favorite in this series. Even more medically questionable. As a brother is shot in the chest, while Cas digs the bullet out with her fingers, and then he was back on his bike later like nothing happened 😂. You know the drill. At least the h didn't take a beating this time around. Still waiting for Ginger to get her comeuppance which will probably be in Anchor's book. The MMCs were ok. I liked Steal to be honest. Cas got in my nerves a bit. OW shenanigans were of course throughout. Faith gets what's coming to her. Have to give CM props. She does not shy away from the violence and gore.
Safety: there's a detailed scene at the beginning with Steal coming out of Faith's dorm room after just f****** her. Cas sees and immediately dismisses him. He wins her later though. After that, only intimate scenes with MMCs. 4 year separation with both remaining celibate.
This is Steal and Cass’s book. Steal is the prez, and I believe the dude that helped Meghan try to find Noah/Slicer in Slicer. If you read the previous books, you already know a lot going in.
The first 30% backtracks and fills in before the separation, then it starts to overlap with the timeline of the previous two books, there’s new stuff, but you also know what’s on the horizon like , so you’re just waiting for everyone to get on the same page which takes about 67%.
Bottom Line- Not bad, much the same. The first part of the book fits firmly in the H treats h second best to the OW which churns up some drama, but he’s being forced (for dumb reasons), and she could’ve stopped it at any time had she let him claim her as his old lady. Not really sure why she didn’t.
Looks like the next book is set up for VP Anchor and his lady (Heaven), they’ve been broken up for years because he cheated with Ginger. (she’s still around) He’s working with their son and sabotaging her birth control.
That Aurora kid is still missing with Axe’s old lady, Hannah.
I didn’t read the first two books in the series and it seems there’s no need as this book was mainly about the couples from books 1 and 2. Steal and Cassidy the mc’s were separated for most of this book. The plot was boring. The ow drama meant to stir me to tears simply made me roll my eyes. Since when is a near future MC prez charged with driving Miss Daisy -aka what amounts to a club whore- in order to prove his loyalty to the club and cement his leadership qualities???? Dude just looks weak as shit!!! FFS how many times can the ow’s car breakdown.. once again the H in a CM book is dumb as dirt. Also according to CM it takes 4 years — well more than 4 years—to review camera footage to clear the fmc from suspicion. Nevermind the fact that sexual trauma from the incident is documented in her medical records on the date she was assaulted at the clubhouse. But the kicker is the guys already know the Cameras were disabled and weren’t recording the areas and the hallways surround in the area. So what exactly have they been reviewing. Also the h is hiding in plain sight in her exact apartment and job and changed her last name to the H’s and these idiots still can’t find her for 4 years. I give this one star because the writing was all over the place, the plot was dumb and I felt nothing but bored.
I liked this way more than I thought I would. Actually I didn’t want to rate this and was close to dnf it because the early chapters really got on my nerves but I powered through and while it’s not my fav MC book, I still enjoyed it.
Some people said the mmc, Steal/Colt was emotionally cheating on the fmc Cass but IMO I personally didn’t think that was the case. He didn’t have any feelings towards the OW but he was determined to prove himself to his MC brothers and his father and by doing so, he neglected Cass and made her feel like she’s always going to be his second choice.
Colt has made some good and bad decisions in his life. In the end, it was his bad decisions that led to Cass leaving his ass. It was not until four years later that they met again and I loved the fact that Cass finally put herself first and pursued her love in medic and her life didn’t stop after leaving Colt. And when Colt tried to pursue her again and groveled, she didn’t back down and stood on her business. It too him almost 60% of the book (or was it more than that..) she finally gave in to his pleadings a few chapters towards the end. Even then she’s still making him work for it till the very end. Like literally, till the last chapter. She wasn’t going to be his doormat again, she’s not afraid to speak her stance and I love that for her! She really said, I can forgive you but not forget and that’s so real of her. Colt also groveled not just with his words and promises but also with actions. Most MC men, well men in general, would ended up screwing around trying to forget but not Colt. Nope, not even when he thought she had a boyfriend and had moved on from him but this man said Cass’s the only one for him and she’s it.
Only four stars because oh boy Colt really just pissed me off in the beginning. My heart breaks so, so much for Cass. Yeah he had his own reasons but still didn’t justify what he did. Although in the end, I do feel he truly made up for his mistakes and groveled to his heart content. There were some loopholes and some mistakes in the story and there’s a scene where I find it absolutely ridiculous. (SPOILER WARNING: Where their daughter just got kidnapped and they had sex right after that???? The author probably thought it was to calm Colt from his breakdown but I find it really bizarre and absurd tbh). But other than that, this was definitely one of the very few MC books that I was satisfied with how everything worked out in the end.
Safety: 🔴 OW drama (basically a clubwho3 causing troubles for the couple) & OM drama (mmc jealousy over fmc’s close friend and he thought she’s dating during their separation and while he’s trying to get her back) 🔴 no cheating (both are only with each other after meeting & both celibate during separation) 🔴 time skip/time jump (four years later) 🔴 HEA
Poor editing. Plot holes. Timeline makes zero sense. Overly repetitive. No breaks between paragraphs to let you know that the scene has changed times or locations while within the same POV.
This was almost a three star read, but goodness, the first half was choppy. I get that the author had two other books overlapping with this one, but to have action like (just one example) Cass throwing Steal over her shoulder in the middle of a hospital happen off-page and just get a glancing "oh this happened" type of mention because (I'm assuming) the author wrote it in another book took me so far out of the story it was ridiculous. There were also a lot of editing issues with this one, words missing, that kind of thing.
Once the other two books wrapped up their own plot, the problem with off-page events (mostly) resolved and the writing greatly improved. (Not spoiler tagging this next bit because you find out pretty early on.) I also had issues with the plot moppet Sekret Bebe (all that kid ever seemed to do was sleep or be on her way to the babysitter). I'm really tired of authors who indicate the FMC works super-hard at being a single mother only for the kid to have almost zero on-page time and when they are, they are angelic and perfect and never have tantrums or are teething... or whatever three year olds do (I'm not a mom). I will say, at least the author had an almost decent reason for the Sekret Bebe trope in that MMC had held a gun to FMC's head and told her to leave the state or she'd die. Unfortunately, some of the credibility of that threat was suspended when she failed to leave the area and did no more to hide than change her last name... to his (also, doesn't that require some kind of paperwork in modern-day NYC???)... and name her baby after his mother... and never moved on... and sent a photo to her sister... and ran into the FMC from another book randomly (again off-page) who knew where she was for at least some period of time... and frequented the same underground fights several nights a week that the motorcycle club did, while she treats the contestants as a doctor. It just didn't feel like she really felt like that gun-to-the-head threat was all that real (and Lord knows she had every reason to) and was, at least in part, keeping the kid away to be petty.
And hero only found her by coincidence after four years? I know NYC is big, but methinks he wasn't looking too hard...
Speaking of the four year gap, another nit is regarding the OW:
Anyway, the grovel in this was good and I bought it. I didn't, however, buy the whole MC getting behind Cass the way they did after just a few years ago, they were demanding her head on a spike, but it did help sell Steal's determination to get Cass back.
It was fun, but even though I'd planned to read more by this author initially, I'm so super-tired of being expected to read whole romance series just to get the satisfaction I want from one book. Not everything has to have a multi-book arc. And yes, I'm referring less to this book and more to book series that are 50 books of will-they-won't-they, but since it seems I would have had to read the two preceding books to get some of the scenes I didn't get in this one, it still sort of applies. (At least make it so that action important to the main characters in this book isn't happening off page.)
So... once again, another good read, but I will admit that re-reading some scenes that were in the other books was a bit redundant. Both in the second and third book, the scenes from previous books were added and I felt like they could have been mentionned without having the dialogue or simply resumed or something.
But overall, I still enjoyed it and can't wait for Anchor's book.
2.5 stars rounded up. I skimmed a lot... I lost count of how many times she brought up that he held a gun to her head while she was pregnant... she brought it up so much😅
i HAD to finish this book, it was so short. anyways what the actual fuck. did this author think i was reading the others books in this series at the same time or what the actual f*ck. bc the way they would randomly drop bombs about the other characters also all these characters were trash. the most traumatic thing a girl can go through? at least one of the women characters went through it in this and then they decide to stay with these sh*tty men who gave no f*cks about anything but their club. i heard there was groveling? where?????? all he did was “kidnap”(he took her to his house and she never attempted to leave) her and kiss her any time he wanted and she just let him EACH. SINGLE. TIME. don’t read this book. save yourself.
I love how much he loved her!!! He didn’t sleep with anyone for 4 years because she left and he got her a freaking 8 diamond ring for the 8 years he loved her before proposing!!! I loved them so much!!!
This book is dripping in misogyny, it’s crazy. The open scene immediate uses the words bitch and whore to describe a woman and I get that it’s the villian of the plot, but the way the MMC immediately degrades a woman is not attractive at all. It doesn’t make for a powerful, sexy main character.
The plot was all over the place, bringing in storylines from sub characters but not explaining any of them. Any possible trauma to happen to someone, happens in this single book alone. I know it’s a MC book, and fictional, but the story doesn’t grab and make you feel apart of it, or like you want to be one of the women.
The whole premise of the book was grovelling, but where was it? The MMC constantly disrespects the MFC and yet no grovelling happens but she always forgives. She is constantly stating everything he did wrong, the same things mentioned at least 50 times, and then doesn’t even stand on business.
This book was neither women empowering, which I believe all erotica and romance novels should be, nor was it worth it for the plot. I’m not sure what the other books in the series is like but I will not be taking the time to read them.
It’s overrated and should not be on the top 100 charts. It needed editing as well.
The MegaNovel and NovelFlow or whatever apps always have the trope that are over the top with “I loved him but I was always second best to this other woman who he swears he is not with “? It’s that. Over the top eye rolling and frustrating.
The FMC should have been confident because she had too many accomplishments to have stayed for So long. The characters in these tropes usually have family issues, abandonment issues low self esteem… ect. This Character was smart, going to med school, graduating a year ahead of her projection date. She had a good relationship with her dad and younger sister. She was well liked by her professors yet still put up with too much. Again, like a young mind does, “I can fix him”. But the FMC isn’t young.
The MMC was just there. He didn’t have a personality. He wasn’t an alpha male, he was a push over. He wasn’t possessive he made excuses and wasn’t passionate. He wasn’t funny, or smart. He had nothing to offer. So why was she so stuck on him?
I do have to mention- I hated the way the author made the FMC take responsibility for the outcome that was solely due to the actions of the MMC. Which tells me the emotional immaturity the author thought was love.
The writing style is juvenile along with underdeveloped characters. The story is similar to Sons of Anarchy if it were a soap opera written by a love struck naive high schooler. The wording and sentences indicated immaturity.
I mentioned a soap opera… to explain how Things were far fetched, characters and predicaments were stated but with no further background leaving me very confused. It’s a standalone yet I feel like maybe I missed chapters that contained said information. Also, too many sentences were written verbatim repeatedly through out. Lastly, there were several grammatical errors. (See examples and notes for specifics. )
Example: two sentences should not include 6 commas making it paragraph in length. The book also seemed to lack proofreading.
Example: a side character was in a car accident and wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, then dragged on the Brooklyn bridge before being thrown over. The character survived after being resuscitated by another character who jumped in after her. The Brooklyn Bridge is 127 feet from water. Morality rate falling over 100 feet is almost 100%. Also, the character did sustain significant damage, according to the time line within a couple weeks the character is back to normal.
Example: missing information example. Hannah was a nurse mentioned quickly at the beginning of the book. Then out of nowhere she is missing. She was so insignificant that I had to search for her name when mentioned again several chapters after her initial appearance at a hospital she is missing like it’s supposed to be common knowledge. It’s not. How she was tied to the MC I have no idea but all the bikers seemed to know her personally.
This book was a little more complete than a novel worm publication but it still needed work. This is definitely an amateur story. This has potential but too underdeveloped to be featured on the top 10.
If you rated this higher than a 2 at max, you’re either friends with the author, related to, or 12. Did you even spell check your own book before publishing? I stg ….. say “old lady” one more time. calling women “loose” as a FEMALE AUTHOR? Why is everyone getting assaulted? You decided to check cameras from surrounding rooms 4 years after the fact? When you KNEW something happened? When did the sister even smack Cassie because it sure wasn’t on the page Why isn’t the daughter going to the hospital after being DRUGGED? “____ got a full work up” how? When? With what medical equipment, that just so happens to be on your person 24/7? Does 9-1-1 not exist? Why is someone on the back of a motorcycle driving right after getting shot in the chest? Why are we having marital relations when your daughter is kidnapped? Star for giving the daughter the name Moira, it was nice seeing my name 💅🏻 unfortunately it just happened to be in the worst book I’ve read.
I read this author mostly to fill my need to read trashy biker romance… these are the stupidest bikers to ever live & their doormat lovers. it really is garbage, but fun too if you suspend any belief at all. I've read a lot of her books and some of them are worse than others, but none of them are good.
I have to add that this one had a 3 yo child that the FL kept from the ML because he held a gun to her head and told her to leave town while believing his whore (eyes rolling along), so yeah not exactly somone you want as your baby daddy. However when the baby finally appears, all this kid can do is sleep and be carried around! The kid is constantly being carried by someone & no personality or interaction because all she does is sleep! This is a 3 year old, not 3 mos! LMAO AT THIS IDIOTIC BOOK
I love the story, and we'll say I love all the books this author has written. I do skim over some parts, because there repetitive. I noticed that the female character get hung up on the same things thru out the book. Repeating them over and over again, which becomes annoying and never really moves on from, until the end! It drives me crazy because I see it in all the books.
This is the third book, in this series. These book gets better and better. This book is about Steal (the President) and Trouble (Cass). This book is entertaining, spice, unpredictable, Hot MC guys, Bad MC brothers, Betrayed, ex girlfriend, secrets, Steal he put a gun to her head, MC, secrets, secret baby, secret baby, kidnapped, bad mom, wonderful characters, tricks on him, funny, hiding in the same town, single mom, and so much more. Reading , the next book NOW!!!
This was definitely an improvement on the first book of the series (I skipped the second one and went straight to this one.) Still some editing errors, but not nearly as many. And as with the first book, I find the story compelling but the execution weak, but it was better at least. The overall story is interesting and engaging, but some elements just strained my ability to sustain my disbelief. Mainly, I struggled with the idea that the FMC somehow “disappeared” for 4 years solely by changing her name and doing nothing else. She stayed in the same apartment, lived and worked in the same city as the people she was “on the run” from, and somehow was never discovered? She literally continued to work at the fight club her sister fought at and just…hid in the other room?? For 4 years?? She never ran into someone at the grocery store or the bank or anything? And the club has the ability to hack medical records and do all sorts of techy things, but can’t find a woman who never left and who never even legally changed her name?? Ok.
And I really don’t understand why the FMC was running. The MMC tells her he will kill her if she doesn’t leave, but clearly she doesn’t believe that. If she does, she’s an idiot for staying in town with her baby. So she abandons her sister just..because? She knows sister is still hanging out with the club, so it’s not like she’s in danger…to me, it feels like the author couldn’t fully commit to the MMC being a complete asshole. We know immediately that he’s only threatening the FMC to protect her, and it’s just not believable that she would be so scared of him that she would run. If the author had pushed the MMC just a little farther by having him actually believe the reasons for the FMC’s “exile”, made him a little scarier, if I could have believed that the FMC genuinely felt threatened, the 4 year absence would just make so much more sense and the groveling would be much more satisfying. But still. I was excited to read it and compelled to finish it, so in my book, that earns 3 stars.
Total side note but something that bugged me in this book and any other book I’ve ever read it in: grown-ass adult women “punishing” their significant others with stupid-ass pranks is just embarrassing. Glitter bombs? Sending gay strippers, which is not only infantile but also homophobic? Ditto to sending gay porn and putting his info on a gay dating site. My regard for the FMC, a literal adult medical professional, dropped like a thousand percent when she punished the MMC with dumb-ass pranks like paint and glitter and salted coffee and lizards. It’s not funny, it doesn’t add anything to the narrative, and it really makes me dislike the character doing the pranking. STOP DOING THIS, AUTHORS! I can’t be expected to fully buy-in to a story about adults with genuine trauma and strife in their relationships while reading about how they sneak lizards into each other’s offices 🙄 It seems like there is a 10-year prank war between estranged spouses that will be the topic of a future book in this series, but no way will I read it.

This book reminded me why I don’t read MC books. I was gearing up for this to be my first 5 star of the year. Despite the typos, grammar errors, repetitiveness, and misogyny, I was having a great time. I was immediately sucked in and love that Cassy left Steal and didn’t automatically forgive him when he found her. I love that she was making him work for it.
But then. The MC book does what all MC books do. The big thing happens around 80%, in this case the OW kidnapped Cassy and Steal’s daughter. And when they find out what do you think they did? They decided it was a great time to fuck. Fucking asinine. Shout out to this author for reminding me why I rarely give MC books a chance.
This was going great a good 3.5 Despite the shit ton of omw Despite the irredeemable mmc Despite knowing the 1st 2 books were trash 80% i was happy with how the book was going untill their daughter was kidnapped by his crazy ex fuck buddy who tried to get Cassidy raped And what does parents of the year Steal and Cassidy do? They get turned on and have sex While their 3 year old is kidnapped by a psycho Yup yup yup THEY HAVE SEXXX WHILE THEIR KID IS KIDNAPPED BY A LUNATIC.
The way this book free fell from 4 to 2 stars in the 80% almost made me laugh if i wasn't so baffled
Safety : Safe-ish for me but i'll give details and let you decide. Both clibate for 4 years of seperation No cheating between the MCS, he hasn't been with anyone since they met MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR owd, his ex hook up Faith causes endless drama, steal also always put faith and the club above Cassidy, because somehow the club doesn't approve of Cassidy but they approve of Faith?? Why? We haven't been given a single detail on why Faith was more liked than Cassidy or why him putting her First was so important for the club to thrive?? aka attending to her every whim and helping her out whenever she needed up while missing Cassidy's graduation, their anniversaries, their dates, never sticking up for her when Faith called her names....etc Then the thing that was the it for Cassidy to finally leave was that Faith made a deal with some club members to drive her away, they intended for a guy called Brute to rape Cassidy and make it seem like she hit on him and cheated on Steal except Cassidy ended up stabbing him, and of course everyone took Faith's word that Cassidy killed him for no reason, alot of other members didn't believe this especially that Brute is known to be a sick fucker but in order to keep Cassidy safe from clubmembers killing her, Steal called her names, humiliated her, put a gun to her head, dragged her by the hair and told her to fuck off all while she had just been sexually assaulted by Brute ( steal didnt know yet ) , she went to the hospital to get checked and they told her she's 2 months pregnant so that's when she decided to leave for her and her kid's sake and safety and she was gone for 4 years .
What wasn't safe for me was how Steal almost let Faith give him a BJ after Cassidy left because he was angry ( see quotes below) despite knowing 100% that Faith plotted it
"she gets on her knees, a smirk in place, her hands going to my jeans, quickly trying to undo them and for a second, only a split second, I think about letting her get away with this, to punish Cass for leaving me"
If I could, I would give this book a 0. Sounds like it was written by a 13 boy who hates women. I’ve never read a book before that talks about women as disgusting as this. I got to page 30 and had to tap out.
DNF 72%…. This book exasperated me to no end. I’ll let my highlights speak for themselves. The plot made no sense and the characters’ behavior was inexcusable all the way around. I like books with angst, but this book was straight up misogynistic.
My relationship with BookTok is like Colt and Cassidy’s. I’m constantly being let down but yet I keep going back for more and that is how I ended up here. And will I learn my lesson? Nope.
