“I was shocked to find myself face to face with Xavier Bishop. His pale blue eyes glinted at me audaciously. He was close enough to … kiss me, I realized I was thinking. He smelt good. Too good. The scent wafted over me, dragging me into its comforting haze like an opiate.”

It’s Valentine’s Day and Georgia’s husband Hugh seems to have forgotten she exists. Her attempts to make new friends and get to know people in a strange city just make her feel more isolated. The only person who’s paying her any attention is Xavier Bishop – and he’s the last person she wants to see.

Then her mother calls and she discovers the shocking truth about the affair that tore her family apart fifteen years earlier ...

About the series

What happens when everything you believe about love, sex and fidelity is turned on its head?

When American artist Georgia Daniels marries handsome, sexy lawyer Hugh Fraser and moves to the other side of the world with him, the fairy tale she thought she was buying into soon transforms into a complex web of secrets and uncertainty.

Ghosts from Hugh’s past surface, making her realize he’s not the shy, innocent guy she thought he was. Her best friend Willa turns out to have secrets of her own that leave Georgia out on a limb when she needs someone she can trust. And every time she thinks she has it all figured out, she gets a call from her estranged mother, whose well meaning attempts to deal with the past and restore their relationship just leave Georgia even more confused.

The Butterfly series takes up where traditional romance novels leave off – exploring love in a way that is edgy, challenging and sometimes painfully real – and coming to conclusions as unexpected as they are perfect.

This story unfolds over the course of four novels, each in three parts. This book is Part 2 of the first novel.

I couldn’t find enough of the books I love: chick lit featuring quirky, adventurous characters who mess up and break all the rules, but somehow manage to work their way through the chaos to a happy (if somewhat unorthodox) ending ... with an undercurrent of edgy, intense and steaming hot erotic sex that is actually integral to the story.

So, when the company I worked for collapsed, I moved to a cottage by the sea, ignored my husband and sons playing heavy metal in the next room, stopped doing the cooking and cleaning and started writing the Butterfly series.

I hope you enjoy my books and welcome your reviews, comments and questions.
