My Money Grows on Trees: Sowing into Revelation and Wealth is a testimony of how God took single mother, Zari Banks, from the pit of desperation to getting her family's every met need and then onto the path of godly increase.
Zari Banks is truly an instrument of God. I did not read this book. I knew I couldn't just read it by page 7. :-) I STUDIED it!! It is filled with Godly wisdom and principles that when applied gives you more revelation and access to Kingdom Wealth! It did for me. Most importantly, I learned the importance of deliverance! I experienced different emotions while studying My Money Grows on Trees, because the author's personal truths resonate with my own. If you want to renew your thinking about wealth and prosperity (not money), this is the book to read! I will be ordering copies for family and friends. Now to start on other books by Ms. Banks! An answer to a prayer...
As I read through the pages, what I mostly took from the reading was that we are to sow into ministries, or a prophet, to see your finances multiply. But I wondered why do most of us view prosperity only in relation to finances or money? (My personal note: are we deceived?) (The other question I had while reading the book, inboxed the author personally for clarity.)
She spoke about some religious leaders as examples how they tapped into the prosperity biblical principles on sowing and reaping a harvest, and are considered financially successful or have wealth. But my personal belief is that I wonder if some times it is more than meets the eye, such as manipulation, or forms of witchcraft is used, whereas they are false prophets and teachings to gain such wealth in the Christian community. However she did also mention what most of us think (including me) that because these few have captured the importance aspects from the Bible when it comes to finances, first fruits, sow/reap concept and are deemed as wealthy or rich financially that we criticize these minority church leaders because of it. I do believe in the scriptures on abundance, getting the desires of our hearts, but as the author mentioned more than once it takes OBEDIENCE, even SACRIFICE to entrust your resources in the hands of ministries, prophets, etc. wherever the Lord leads you to donate your TIME, TREASURES, or TALENTS. To me it is not just about money, but the 3 T's: Time, Treasures (aka Tithe), and Talents to build the kingdom of God as well.
She did cover on the seed could refer to faith, service, time, and other things than just tithe. There are passages in the Bible which she covered a few that speak on giving a tenth to the prophet, to the messenger, and the place you are fed (can be online ministries, churches, etc.). I strongly agree, let the Lord lead you with the amount and place/person to give your time, treasures, and/or talents to. I do agree with Malachi 3 that we are robbing God when we do not tithe, but I also believe that there are so many false prophets/preachers that are robbing people from salvation and uniting their souls to Christ when to them it is more about giving to the church.
*I was surprised the amounts recorded and shared in the book when it came to offerings/tithes by author. But as she says, she practices what she preaches/teaches. I also received a copy from the author as a gift. Easy read. Life experiences shared too.
