3.5 stars!
This story had some unexpected twists and turns that kept me engaged! Dominique and Ronan share a complicated history that stems from a childhood incident—one that continues to shape their lives in the present.

I really enjoyed the slow-burn romance and how refreshingly real their interactions were—no pretense, just honesty. There were plenty of cute and funny moments throughout, and I have to say, Ronan’s sister totally stole the show! I really hope she gets her own book!

The epilogue perfectly teases the next installment, and I’m definitely intrigued to learn more about Aksel’s story!

At first, I thought this was an absurdly harsh punishment for what seemed like a relatively minor transgression. But by the time I reached the final pages, I realized: the curse had a purpose. After all, true love always finds a way. What truly captivated me was watching these two evolve over the decades. Dominique channeled her pain into building a business that gave others the love she could never have. Meanwhile, Ronan? He seemed to have taken a different approach—one that involved brooding, resentment, and an extra-large chip on his shoulder. And yet, despite his apparent a$$holery, he storms into Dominique’s office with the audacious demand that she marries him. For seven to ten years, no less. His grand plan requires her cooperation, whether she likes it or not. The storyline and pacing were utter perfection. In many ways, Dominique and Ronan were two sides of the same coin. Both shaped by childhood suffering long before the curse sealed their fate. Dominique’s family was ruthless, capable of unspeakable horrors in their thirst for power. While Ronan, as the heir to the ruling family, was raised in a world of political machinations and cold-blooded strategy. Yet, despite the messy, antagonistic start to their relationship, watching them peel back each other’s layers was delicious. The slow burn? Scorching. Their chemistry? Absolutely electric. If I had one tiny critique, it would be that I wanted more details—specifically about Dominique’s true heritage and what happened to her parents. But honestly? That’s just me being greedy. This adult fairytale was everything I could have hoped for and more!

Fae-King It is fabulously written, amazingly balanced and beautifully executed by C.C. Wood. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I was completely blown away by the storyline. This book has a fantastic plot, phenomenal characters and a breathtaking ending for the main characters. Fae-King It follows the adventures of Dominique and Ronan. I absolutely enjoyed getting to know both of these characters as well as witnessing their interactions going from a contract marriage to something more real. The characters are fabulously written and beautifully executed throughout the story. The chemistry between Dominique and Ronan is off the charts hot and undeniably irresistible. I can’t wait to see what the next book from C.C. Wood will be about. I would definitely encourage other readers to checkout Fae-King It and give it a read.

This was exactly what I wanted in a book! The pacing was spot on, and all the characters were interesting, and felt fully fleshed out. I adore enemies to lovers books, and this was was an interesting twist because it was caused by a curse. There were plenty of little twists and turns along the way, and I loved the emotional depth of the main characters too. They were dealing with so much childhood trauma, and it was interesting to see how it presented differently in each of them.

This is great example of a shorter book done right. A lot of the time I'm left feeling like there needed to be another chapter or two, but this was spot on perfect in length for the story. All the loose threads were tied up, and the ending was a lovely HEA.

She wasn’t expecting to see him again, yet he showed up at her successful matchmaking business and demanded that she marry him to repay all he has suffered. Actually Ronan has to find a wife but doesn’t want his parents to choose one for him. So Dominique, who would never fall in love with him, is the perfect choice. Will he find that she is not what he expected? Will they choose to make their marriage actually real? Or will they be disappointed in the outcome? Since love will usually find a way, they may just have a chance at that HEA they thought would never be theirs.

Fae-King It is a fantastic read. I loved this so much. This is book 5 in the Mystical Matchmakers series and you are just going to love Dominique's story. Dominique is the owner of the Mystical Matchmakers and also cursed. She hasn't had as much luck in love as the matches she creates. Ronan is a a prince who had his throne chances stripped and found a way in. Ronan and Dominique share a past and you will love how they come together. I love their connection and their chemistry so much. I could not get enough of them. Ronan and Dominique may be cursed together but you feel the love grow stronger throughout. I could not put this down. I cannot wait for more to come in the Mystical Matchmakers series. Go one click this today.

Though the plot to this story is very predicated it was a very enjoyable read.

The main trope to this story is of course the fake engagement but there is also a little taste of enemies to lovers (FMC is guilted into the arrangement as repayment for a past wrong) , "I'll protect her at all costs" mentality and some possessiveness from the MMC. The spicey parts were hot with a bit of shadow-daddy energy.

I've noticed this author leans toward very fast forming relationships. Though the characters had a short lived acquaintance in the past the actual relationship forms in only a few weeks. Mostly over an extended weekend.

Small possible trigger warning for mentions of past abuse.

This is such a fun series!

I must say there were a few times I wanted to introduce Ronan to the underside of a unicorn-driven carriage, but eventually he saw the true magic without my assistance

Both sets were pretty deplorable, though Dominique's do take the prize for the most revolting

And the sorceress who cast the curse?
I'm not telling
But loved the twist

This is an all-around fun fantasy/paranormal romance that I highly recommend
A bit of mystery and suspense.
Court politics.
Backstabbing and underhanded behavior.
Surprise twists.
Some tension, actually quite a bit of tension, between our two MC

This was my first story about a Fae Prince and a fairy godmother. Loved it! The main characters were great in their storylines and the chemistry between them was showing all the feels. This book had it all: cursed when young by a sorceress, together later for a fake relationship, to fates mates and true love. There is a great spin and the end with Zelda! Loved how protective and caring Ronan was with Dominique. Looking forwards to reading more in this series. Each book is a stand alone with seeing characters from the previous books.

I really loved reading this book! The mystical matchmakers series just gets better and better 😍 This book centres around the matchmaking services owner Dominique and the Fae Prince Ronan. The story of their trials and tribulations takes you on a roller coaster of emotions. I was so hurt and angry on their behalf. The characters draw you in and I found myself wanting the best for them. I read this book in one sitting as I couldn't put it down! Definitely recommend reading this if you like paranormal romance with a guaranteed HEA 😍.

Another fab book by this amazing author! Yet again I was hooked from the start, it was like reading an exciting fairytale with lots of twists & turns.
After the ending In the last book for this series, I was so excited to read about Ronan & Dominique and it did not disappoint!
Such strong characters with explosive chemistry, loved it! I hope we get to see even more of this pair in future books especially with what was revealed near the end!.

I knew there was a lot more beneath the reserved exterior Dominique showed the world but I didn’t know how much. She is strong, capable and protecting a caring heart that has been abused by the people who should have loved and protected her. Ronan forces her back into a place she fought so hard to escape but this time she has allies to protect her even as she protects them. The chemistry between the two is explosive and the romance is sweet, not to mention the intrigue that has a few surprises of its own.

Storyline Not To Be Missed!

Full of good, bad and evil, this is a perfect storyline full of romance, love, humor and a wonderful HEA.

I just love this author’s style of writing, it’s always entertaining and has you hooked from the first to the last page.

Ronan and Dominique’s love story will make you swoon with the romance and on edge with the twist.

One of my favourite authors who never fails to please. Can’t wait for the next book!.

A great story. Ronan and Dominique were cursed as children and Ronan decides years later that he needs to wed Dominique. They make an agreement that they will stay wed for eight to ten years. Their engagement brings problems from both parents that will put them in danger. This book is full of danger, strong chemistry, and a happy ending. I enjoyed reading this story.

I really liked this book about Dominique and Ronan and how they first met when they were younger to how they crossed paths later on. I liked the banter, steam, fun and how their relationship developed throughout the book. I thought the twists and turns were very good, especially at the end. I also liked how characters where introduced cleverly at the end if the previous books. This is a very well-rounded and enjoyable read.

This book has some very original and interesting storyline. Dominique has been paying a debt she never saw coming. Ronan wants control of his future. He has plan to make this possible. This book has a little bit of a fractured fairytale, a curse, an arranged marriage, all leading to a complex love story.

So when were young you dont rhink of the things you do but for these 2 there actuons set the tone for there lives. A fae prince and a fairy what can happen when 2 kids playstes there life in a curse that ties them together but is really a curse or something more. This story is so good you wont believe the ending with all the twist and turns. Loved it.

Another one of my favorite authors, because her books are always engaging, fun and have strong male and female characters. I loved the tension and passion and read from start to finish in one sitting. There's enough intrigue and back stabbing to leave you on the edge of your seat. Loved!!

I enjoyed the story between Ronan and Dominique. This is the fifth in The Mystical Matchmakers series, They have a fake relationship but it slowly grows into more, Ronan is very caring and protective of Dominique. So good.

This book had a lot of twists and turns. You never knew for sure who was good and who was bad. I like Zephera and the lengths she went to save her family. Dominique And Ronan had terrible parents, it’s a wonderful that they turned out so good. This was a good read that I would recommend.
