Dandelion Dreams by Susanne Ash is the fourth standalone but interconnected book in the cozy romance series: The Alphabet Sweethearts. Each book takes place in the small town of Juniper Falls and has a new couple as the main characters.

This book is, as the other three books I have read, lovely and easy to read. It starts with a great surprise for Andrew, the owner of a café/bookstore, when his old flame visits with a child in tow.

As I said, this short book is easy to read thanks to the flowing writing style. Andrew we did meet in an earlier book, so we know he is very organised, so he does not know how to handle himself when his old flame shows up out of the blue. He is a nice character and I loved that he now has his own story. His relationship with Emma ended not well, but both have not forgotten each other. Emma was afraid to mention she was pregnant and I found it a bit hard to understand why she could not contact Andrew. After all, he lived in their hometown and was not hard to find. But I can understand Emma as well, as she had dreams. The child, Charlie, is a great character. He is charming for a four-year-old and so innocent in his remarks. It was a joy to read about him and I loved his interaction with Andrew.

The title: Dandelion Dreams refers to the kind of magical flowers with their flower which can fly in all directions when you blow. Charlie finds them amazing and everywhere he sees them, he wants to make a wish. And Susanne Ash did a wonderful job putting these dreams and wishes in the story.

Dandelion Dreams I loved reading. It is a short second chance ate love novel, filled with drama, romance, found family and a good story-line about finding your place and a home. You have to read these short novels in this series, because they are all a joy to read and you can read them in one sitting as well.

♡What to expect: secret kid, high school sweethearts, second chance, small town romance
♡ Remember Andrew from the last book? It's his turn to find love now. Not in someone now, but in his old lover, who returns back in their town... with his four years old boy.
♡ I usually love the single parent trope but this surprise kid didn't make sense. They were from the same town, how can you tell me she didn't text him before?! And how no one from the town knew? Social media, hello?
♡ Overall alright.

Clean Standalone Romance Interconnected Series

This story actually starts at the end of the previous book. Reading in order recommended but it could still be read as a standalone. He's made his lays structured and controlled as possible. Then she walks in with a 4 year old that turns his life upside down. Why is she there now? Will he be able to see the hidden strength in a dandelion?

This is such a sweet story! I absolutely love small town, second chance romances! Andrew is the brother of Maggie, from Coffeehouse Confessions. His ex-girlfriend Emma comes back into town with a surprise - he has a son named Charlie. It takes some time but they reconnect and start to become a family. Andrew and Emma are great together and Charlie is adorable! The dandelion symbolism and wishing on them really ties this story together nicely. I’m looking forward to the next one!

Dreams and Decisions

Emma made a decision years ago that has repercussions into her, Andrew's and Charlie's present. Charlie is a dream of a child with wishes of his own. Emma wishes for a future life, and Andrew is scared of it all. I love the childhood delight in everything and how it impacts everyone. It's such a sweet story of forgiveness with a happy ending.

Dandelion Dreams is a sweet, short, second chance romance. Andrew and Emma need to let go of their past hurts if they are going to survive to be the family Charlie deserves. Charlie nearly steals the show in this engaging book. He is delightful. I love the dandelion symbolism that is reflected in the story. It was amazing to watch Andrew’s perceptions change.

I had a free copy of this book, but this is my voluntary and honest opinion. Emma Hawthorne returns to Juniper Falls with a four year old son. Andrew Carter knows right away the boy is his son, but he doesn’t trust Emma to stay around, but she shows him she has changed and wants them to be a family. A delightful second chance story with great characters.

Second chance, secret baby story.

“Some dreams to fly free before they can take root and grow stronger”. This a very heartwarming story. I am enjoying all the stories in the series.

I know being a novella, the story has to be rushed at times. And while this one started off perfect, the last little bit of the story felt so rushed. Just too quick for me to completely immerse myself in the whole story.

Otherwise it was still cute, just like the other's in this series have been!
