I found this book — which reviews both the basics and many more intricate details of the U.S. military’s standard method of vocational testing — thoroughly educational. I confess that I knew very little about the ASVAB beforehand. However, this book taught me all I needed to know; I learned, for example, precisely how potential service members’ tests are scored and how the results are used to match them with appropriate vocations. The four sections of the test — arithmetic reasoning, mathematics knowledge, reading comprehension, and word knowledge — are all vital areas of information for any even moderately successful adult. I learned so much from the academic sections of the book; I never knew, for example, that the Milky Way was a spiral galaxy, or one characterized by its spiral arms ”with a flat, disk-like appearance with a central bulge.” I also discovered point, insertion/deletion, and chromosomal genetic mutations as well as reviewing Newton’s laws, the laws of thermodynamics, and more. Overall, I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in the ASVAB and to all lifelong learners.

For many, serving their country is an aspirational goal. This aspiration might stem from wanting to join a particular branch, take on a specific role, or be stationed at a certain base or port. No matter the ultimate objective, enlisting in the military necessitates taking the AFQT and ASVAB tests. These exams are crucial—one for determining eligibility and the other for career placement. It's something that those enlisting should approach with seriousness.
The ASVAB is a series of tests designed to assess vocational aptitude, determining which military occupation specialties (MOS) a person is best suited for. Achieving specific scores is crucial for qualifying for certain roles. As the author mentions, "Your scores unlock your future, opening or closing doors to military and professional careers." Given its importance, it's vital to prepare thoroughly and aim for the highest possible scores. Although you can't fail the ASVAB, low scores can restrict your options. This book exists to help with that preparation.

"ASVAB Study Guide [All-in-1]" by Luca Lindberg is an excellent, comprehensive and very well-structured guide that helps you tackle each section of the ASVAB exam. It is very interesting because it has tests from arithmetic reasoning to mechanical understanding, and the best of all is that it helps the student understand easily. I recommend this book to greatly improve skills when taking the ASVAB.

Since I was a child, I've loved everything about the military, so I chose this book to browse and fantasize about it a little. The book is a practical guide to passing the ASVAB and is clearly a way to get into all the issues that a real military man will have to face when he starts his professional career.
