The Omega Selection #1

Claimed by the Alpha Wolves

Rate this book
Being dragged to The Omega Selection is the start of my nightmare…

All the other omegas are excited to participate in the games that may lead them to their alphas. Being chosen by alphas is their greatest desire.

But me? I just want to be left alone.

I thought the worst case scenario in coming to The Selection would be that I’d be forced to find a mate. I thought I might have to be tied back to the world of the living after my brother’s murder, when I’m not ready. What I didn’t plan for… that my brother’s murderer would try to claim me as his omega.

Faced with the monster from my past, I’m left completely at his mercy until two alphas save me from his clutches by claiming me as their mate. They don’t really love me. They don’t really want me. But if our pretend relationship can save my life, I’ll be the best actress imaginable. I’ll dote on the two handsome men. I’ll respond to their gentle touches and their lingering looks. No matter how much my heart is locked away from the world, I’ll play the perfect omega to my alphas.

I just hope this game of ours doesn’t become too real.

CLAIMED BY THE ALPHA WOLVES is a steamy paranormal reverse harem series with a gentle heroine and protective heroes. There will be a happy ending at the end of the trilogy.

Claimed by the Alpha Wolves

A great start to this shifter RH. I enjoyed the characters. Faye was an omega who only wanted to get through a forced selection that all omegas have to attend. Despite her meekness, Faye had a brightness and determination to her that I enjoyed.

Cayson was a typical playboy with a hidden depth that was hinted at. I enjoyed his playfulness.

Ezra was the serious one of the bunch. He was a total sweetheart with a protective nature.

The three of them together were cute and helped balance each other and brought out different sides of each other that were only beginning to see even though neither seems to want an alpha or omega… I can’t wait to see more.

Tropes to enjoy here are; alpha/omega world, forced proximity, RH, shifters, suspense, pining, hurt/comfort, protective MMCs, fakeish dating, and more!

Reading the start of a new series by this author is always exciting, and I loved diving into the world of the Omega Selection. Whenever I read omegaverse, whether it's paranormal or not, I tend to prefer worldbuilding where omegas aren't put on a pedestal. In the world this series is set in, the dangers to them are present in a more subtle way, and I really love that. It's hidden beneath politics and corruption, and even though it's a paranormal wolf shifter story, there are some similarities in how some people can get away with anything in our world as well.

The main characters in The Omega Selection so far are Faye, Ezra and Cayson. I suspect book two will bring at least one more main character to the forefront, but we'll see about that. I have to admit for a moment I was hoping Faye would end up with the biggest harem ever after a selection event, but that might be too much for a woman who doesn't even want one alpha, let alone nine... That being said: I might have fallen in love with Cayson myself. It's rare for me to like the goofball, but I'm excited to find out what's hiding beneath that superficial portrait he paints to the outside world. Truly, he feels like the kind of guy you want for a best friend, both in a friendly and a romantic way. The only reason I ended up taking away half a star in my rating, was because I had a hard time connecting with Faye. I can't pinpoint the exact reason why, so I'm hoping to see this develop while reading the second book. I'm definitely excited to see what the rest of the series will bring!

Page-turner here we come! I’m not typically someone who grabs up a paranormal romance about omegas, but this one? This one really grabbed my attention and so I decided to give it a chance.
Faye has lost everyone she’s ever cared about. All she had left was her brother...until he was brutally taken by an alpha simply looking to put on a show for his friends. Her time is up for living alone in the woods though. It’s time for The Selection...and whether she likes it or not…she has to go.
Faye is an omega, and she has a real amount of trouble hanging over her simply due to the accusation she leveled against her brother’s killer. Nothing was done about it, but that changes nothing. She’s a weak and frail woman. This is pointed out frequently throughout this book. But she’s still an interesting character. Told from multiple POV we get to follow along with Faye, Ezra, and Cayson. This is an interesting cast of characters for sure to follow.
There are some predictable aspects of the story, but there is just enough to keep me coming back for more and to keep page-turning to find out what happens next. Expect a cliffhanger with this book. It’s not a major one, but it’s enough of one to leave you eager for more. I can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Loved it. I’m a huge omegverse, shifter, fated mates fan. At times is the mfc Faye annoying? Sure haha but she’s likable and starting to become her own person after all that trauma. The men are delectable, I wish there was more to the “bad guy” he’s just a bad guy for the sake of having an antagonist. Some people may not like the whole women used for breeding, women are weak thing but that’s omegaverse, I like that Faye wants to bring strength and a voice for the omegas even though she is considered weak. Idk, I just enjoyed the whole selection process idea, read it in 6 hours haha devoured it

Lacey Carter Anderson's Claimed by the Alpha Wolves offers a thrilling blend of emotional tension, romance, and high-stakes drama. This captivating paranormal romance pulls readers into a world where wolves, pack dynamics, and impossible choices collide. The story centers on Faye, an Omega wolf, who finds herself unexpectedly thrust into a dangerous and life-altering selection — a brutal contest that pits her against men she never thought she'd have to face. Among them is her brother’s murderer, adding a devastating emotional weight to the already complex situation.
Faye’s struggle is palpable as she’s forced into this difficult scenario, where love, survival, and vengeance all intertwine. What makes her journey even more compelling is the contrasting men who enter her life — Cayson and Ezra.
Cayson is the playful, carefree one, the kind of guy who brings light into the darkest of moments. His charm and wit are the perfect antidote to the heavy tension Faye feels, and their chemistry is undeniably magnetic. He brings a certain ease to her troubled heart, even if his carefree attitude often hides deeper emotions.
Then there's Ezra, the serious and considerate alpha, whose brooding nature adds layers to his character. He may not be as openly playful as Cayson, but Ezra's quiet intensity speaks volumes. His protective instincts and subtle kindness pull Faye in, and there's an undeniable depth to the connection they share.
Anderson weaves these three characters together beautifully, creating a love triangle that's not just about who Faye will choose if any, but also about her finding herself amidst the chaos and pain. The tension between the characters is electric, and the conflicts—both external and internal—keep the reader hooked from start to finish.
Faye is a well-crafted character, vulnerable yet strong, and her emotional journey through the selection process, where betrayal and heartache wait at every turn, is a rollercoaster that keeps you invested. The world-building around the werewolf packs is rich, and Anderson does a fantastic job of creating a society where power, politics, and passion intermingle.
Claimed by the Alpha Wolves is a must-read for anyone who loves paranormal romance with complex characters and intense drama. Lacey Carter Anderson has created a gripping world that leaves you wanting more. Whether you’re drawn to the playful charm of Cayson or the serious strength of Ezra, or perhaps the fierce determination of Faye, there’s something in this book for everyone. It’s a story of survival, love, and the choices that define us, set against a backdrop of danger and passion. Highly recommended for fans of wolf shifters and slow-burn romance!

Faye is a strong independent woman who doesn’t want or need a man in her life. After tragedy hits and she is orphaned with no one to call her family. Her pack forces her to attend the selection where she could potentially meet her fated or chosen mate/ mates. While Faye may be forced to attend but that won’t change her decision until she meets not one but two alphas who are unlike any of the opinions she has of alphas. These two alphas also do not want a mate. Showing up because it’s mandatory planning on leaving alone once the event is done. That is until a tiny omega catches not only their eye but buried herself into their brain, thoughts, and dreams. Faye seems comfortable with her two friendly Alphas Ezra and Cayson which is good considering the man who murdered her brother in front of her and got away with it is at the event and has his evil eyes on Faye.

The story of the three is super interesting to read as it’s not insta love but a connection built over the days that pass during the selection event. You learn about Faye and while she may be tiny and considered weak. She is strong willed and willing to stand on her business. To have both men who are friends and have the same opinion about the selection slowly start to realize their feelings for each other is almost comforting in a way. They give you touch her and 💀 vibes but in a laid back realistic way. These alphas protect her without seeming over the top and exaggerated.

I can’t wait to read the next book Claimed by the Feral Wolves.

While there is no spice, it is definitely a slow burn. I know once they finally get together or even share their first kiss it will be electric. I am buzzing to read the second book. I can’t wait to see where the story takes us especially with how book one ended! It’s a great shifter read for those who love the love but aren’t fully into the extra spice!

Thank you to Book Sirens and the Author for providing me with a free review copy so that I may voluntarily provide an honest review of my experience. Please note that there may be small spoilers in my review.

Faye, our FMC, does not want a mate. She doesn't want to leave her cabin out in the middle of nowhere. She is too caught up in the trauma of losing everyone who really mattered to her. But she is caught, captured, and dragged off to attend the selection. The selection is an event where omega's and alpha's mingle to find their forever mate/s. But things go very, very, very wrong when she finds out that her brother's murderer is not only attending the selection.. but also has a very keen interest in her.

I loved reading every second of this story. In fact, I was suuuuuper upset that I couldn't read the next book straight away. This alone should tell you something. The story is well written and the connection & chemistry that the current main characters (Faye, Ezra and Cayson) display is on point. Each character evens out the others in one way or another. Faye, is strong and fiercely independent whilst also showing the vulnerability of how she is dealing with this entire situation. Cayson, is lighthearted and playful.. bringing the relief that comes with being both a positive influence and a shoulder to cry on. Ezra is intense and fiercely protective. He is a no b******* alpha, who will not tolerate abuse or poor behaviour.. especially from other alpha's.

The emotions that I felt reading the book had me on the hook. I read this book in one sitting.. and author.. I need the next book please. Like.. sooooon. I need to know what happens. I need to know how they remedy what happens at the end. More please.

I do recommend this book. Its well written. What more can I say.

This review is not as detailed as I usually like it to be, but I was very unwell after I read the book, so my memory isn't as clear as it usually is.

If you're a fan of heart-pounding romance, alpha wolves, and twists you didn't see coming, then Claimed by the Alpha Wolves by LCA is a book you cannot miss! Brace yourself for a ride full of tension, passion, and a plot that will leave you hanging on every word.

Faye, an orphaned omega, has been through unimaginable loss, and the idea of finding an alpha mate? The absolute last thing she wants. But when fate drags her into the Selection, she’s forced to confront not only the alpha responsible for her brother's death but also the complex emotions she’s been burying. This is where the real magic happens.

Enter Cayson and Ezra—two alphas who couldn’t be more different, but both are drawn to Faye in ways they never expected. Cayson is the devil-may-care bad boy with zero morals, yet a cheeky charm you can’t help but love. Ezra, on the other hand, is quiet, intense, and bound by a moral code that runs deeper than the ocean. Together, they create a dynamic that keeps you on the edge of your seat, as each battle between them to claim Faye is as thrilling as it is steamy.

The multiple POVs are a genius touch, giving readers a chance to see inside each character’s head, flaws and all. And trust me, these characters? You will fall for them. Faye’s vulnerability, Cayson’s irresistible charm, Ezra’s quiet intensity—it all blends together in a way that makes this book unputdownable. The twists? Oh, they just keep coming, each one more shocking than the last. If you love intense chemistry, morally complex characters, and a plot that keeps you guessing, Claimed by the Alpha Wolves is the book for you.

I can’t wait for Book 2—this series is a wild ride, and I’m all in!

(Just a heads-up, this review is entirely voluntary—no compensation was received. These opinions are 100% my own!)

Oh, I did enjoy this book. We have Faye, an Omega, who lives by herself in her cabin up in the mountains. She doesn't interact with the pack, rarely ever since the incident involving her brother Miles and Kurt. She doesn't trust that the pack and the Ultima's have her best interests at heart. She is just a lowly Omega, whereas Alphas can do anything they want and not be punished. She doesn't want a mate. She has seen Alphas use Omegas just a breeders, not bothered about their well-being. So when her Pack Alpha comes for her to join in with the Selection as her heat will be due, she tries to flee, but to no avail.

At the Selection, she meets her friend whom she hasn't seen in a while. Addilyn and Faye reconnect. Addilyn can't wait to find her mates, whereas Faye tries to blend in the background, but she doesn't go unnoticed. Cayson is a player; he is a charmer, happy to have flings, but he's not interested in a mate. His friend Ezra from a neighbouring pack is more serious; he is a dutiful son to the Pack Alpha, and his main priority is the pack. He doesn't want a mate either.

Both Alphas are drawn to Faye; there is something about her that keeps pulling them towards her, especially when she comes into the crosshairs of Kurt, who is also at the Selection. Cayson can't believe Faye isn't falling at his feet, not swooning at his lines, but yet, he can't walk away from her. Ezra has felt protective of Faye ever since he found out her and Kurt's story. He will not let Kurt hurt her.

The story leaves us on a delicious cliffhanger. What will Ezra Cayson do to protect Faye, especially when Kurt has zeroed in on her? Decisions have to be made, and will Faye go along with them?

Can't wait to read the next in the series.

I've read a lot of Lacey but never an omegaverse. Claimed by the Alpha Wolves felt like the LCA books that I'm used to, but had everything I expected from an omegaverse. It was great.

After learning Faye's story, my heart went out to her. She's a stubborn omega, and after losing so many people and constantly being disappointed in her pack, she's determined not to get close to anyone else. The last thing she wants is an alpha. No matter her feelings, two alphas seem to be in her orbit. Ezra, the responsible alpha heir, and Cayson, the playboy. She isn't looking for an alpha, and they don't want an omega, but there is a connection even if they're all denying it. Ugh! So frustrating. But they did have some good moments where they connected.

The story was good. Oddly enough, the Selection reminded me a lot of the Bridgerton TV series, with the different events, fancy clothes, and how they were treating the attendees. It even took place in a castle. There were a few detailed events, from dances to scavenger hunts. My favorite had to be the rowboat scene, it was hilarious. Faye was even opening up, and her reconnection with her childhood friend was sweet. There were some unexpected elements. LCA introduced Ultimas, which I had never heard of before. There was an incident that happened totally out of the blue but added to the story.

Claimed by the Alpha Wolves ended on a good twist and introduced a really popular troupe that I enjoy. I'm curious about how it will all play out in Claimed by the Feral Wolves.

New LCA Series!

Claimed by the Alpha Wolves is a brand-new book in the Omega Selection series, and man I was hooked right from the beginning. Faye has had so much tragedy in her young life. When her parents were killed when she was really young, her grandparents begrudgingly took her brother and her in. Then when they died when she was a teen, it was just her and her brother living in her grandparents VERY remote cabin in the woods. But things were good – until an alpha a-hole killed her brother to show off to his friends in front of her. Now she wants NOTHING to do with finding her own alpha – especially after no one would “believe her” about what happened just because she was an omega AND because the psycho who killed her brother comes from an unhinged pack. But when she tries to run away before being taken to the Selection, her alpha finds her and forces her to go.

When she arrives, she does everything she can think of to NOT be selected, but fate seems to want to play with her. First by having that same alpha who killed her brother, Kurt, be there and want his own revenge, and also by having two other alphas seem to be interested in her. Even though she tries everything to stay hidden, Kurt just wants to hurt her and the other two (who I REALLY loved) Cayson and Ezra just want to protect her.

I am digging this series so far, and that ending! OMG I need to know what happens next! This is a fantastic first book in this series, and I would definitely recommend reading it.

When it comes to reading there are few things I like better than picking up a book by this author and as usual I powered through it and now need more!

Faye has purposely isolated herself from the rest of her pack within the packlands as when her brother, her last living relative was murdered in front of her eyes nothing was done. As the murderer was the son of a neighbouring packs Alpha, rather than stir up trouble they dismissed her witness account so no justice was meted out. As a result Faye wanted nothing to do with any of them. Until that fateful day where her packs Alpha tracked her down and she was hauled off to the Omega Selection to be potentially paired with a mate that she didn't want.

All 3 main characters Faye, Ezra and Cayson are all opposed to finding a mate and they all have their own reasons. There is undeniably an attraction between them and Cayson is even owning up to the attraction although he only wants a fling, nothing permanent. Ezra on the other hand is very protective and is determined to protect Faye when he realises she has good reason to fear Kurt. Although Cayson is undoubtably a playboy, he does make me laugh, I found his antics with the boats on the lake very funny, and I love the fact that he and Ezra are also friends which will make sharing easier (c'mon, we know it's going to happen!)
I am looking forward to the next book as think with the arrival of the ferals Faye may end up with another one or two men which for someone who doesn't even want one will be a very interesting scenario indeed!

Faye was a small beautiful omega wolf, after all her family has been taken from her either in death, car accidents, and murder. She has retreated into herself closing out everyone and everything. Thus, she could not be hurt. Then came the day as an omega she had to go to the Selection to see if she could find an alpha male. Faye ran but her pack alpha caught her and made her go. As Faye goes through the gates to the selection all she can think of is how can she hide out so that no alpha will pick her. Instead, what happens she finds herself attracted to two alphas Cayson and Ezra like her they were at the selection because it is required of all alphas to attend. Neither Cayson or Ezra wanted to mate. As an attraction to the men grew, there was a murder of an omega in the same style as her brother. They reported it to the authorities who did nothing about it. Kurt in retaliation of her telling the authorities. the man that murder brother picked her for his omega. Both Cayson and Ezra stepped up to claim her. They have decided they must make their relationship look real to get Kurt thrown out of the mate bond to protect Faye from him. Now what Kurt is from a powerful pack, that few packs want to go up against. Can Faye, Cayson, and Ezra make it look real to fake everyone out? Will Kurt’s pack come against them? Will Kurt try and kill Faye?

Lacey has done it again with her female lead. I didn't think I could love anyone as much as I loved Tara in her Kingdom of Shifter and Witches series, but I am loving this introverted omega who wants nothing to do with finding an "alpha" mate.

This is the first book in a series, and it picks up fast and keeps that speed until the very end. I am itching for the next book and to see a certain villain wolf get his comeuppance.

Faye has grown up with death surrounding her family and being told she is weak and would be lucky to find a mate. She is in no rush to find one, as all she has seen from these so-called alphas are weakness and abuse of power. But when she reached a certain age, she was forced onto a bus to go to the mating selections. And if she has her way, she will go back home alone.

Ezra and Cayson are two friends and sons of prosperous pacts. While one is content in his womanizing ways, the other is too focused on growing his pack and is holding onto a secret that we get glimpses of preventing him from wanting to find a mate. But when these two males spot Faye, all their plans may have suddenly changed....

Spice: 0/5- Lacey tends to start with a slow burn

I am thinking this will eventually turn into a MFM situation

Triggers: Assault on the MFC, mention of the death of her brother and other family members, etc

How much tragedy and pain can one person face. Wow Faye lost her parents young then her grandparents and then finally she watched as a cruel alpha took her brother’s life just to show off to his friends. She is an omega that just wants to be alone and doesn’t want a mate. She is made to go to the alpha/omega selections where all of age omegas and alphas go to see if they are able to be paired. She meets Ezra and Carson there who are both alphas of different picks, but are really good friends. One is a serious alpha that worries about his pack and the other is not serious and is a player. They both are dealing with their own things and as such neither want an omega right now. What happens when Kurt the cruel alpha ends up at the selections and continues to torture Faye? These two alphas are continuously helping and wanting to spend time with Faye. Kurt at the end of the book wants to claim Faye to torture her more, but Ezra and Carson come to her rescue and claim her as well. I am excited for this book to come out. It does end on a cliffhanger, but from what I have seen the wait is not very long. I want to read the next book and see where this adventure takes them. PS I really hope something unsavory happens to Kurt.

A new series from LCA is always a treat, and this is off to a great start. It's a slowburn shifter tale, with hot alphas, and a heroine that's stronger than she realises.

Faye is an omega shifter, who doesn't want an alpha, having seen them at their worst. Ezra and Cayson are alphas who don't want an omega. You might think you know what that means, but it's not that simple!

Faye has been though a lot, and although people view her as weak, I'd argue she's one of the strongest heroines I've read recently. She knows what she wants and is fighting in the face of, well, almost everyone to try and get it. Ezra and Cayson are perfect compliments to each other, calm and responsible against party boy.

The bulk of the story takes place at an event called The Selection, where alphas and omegas go to find their match. None of the three are happy to be there, and things are complicated further by the presence of another alpha who has his sights set on Faye for less that wholesome reasons. There's also some interesting lore about how shifter politics work, at least in this world!

I loved this, the pacing is good, the characters and relationships fit and works well, and it leaves you looking forward to the next one!

Lacey Carter Anderson's Claimed by the Alpha Wolves is a gripping start to a steamy paranormal reverse harem series that explores themes of survival, trust, and healing. Faye, a resilient omega with a traumatic past, is thrust into The Selection against her will, determined to avoid an alpha at all costs. Her plan to escape unclaimed takes an unexpected turn when she meets Ezra and Cayson—two alphas with no interest in an omega but who bring protection, laughter, and a glimmer of hope into her life.
The story takes an intense twist as the man who killed Faye's brother resurfaces, threatening her safety. The bond that develops between Faye, Ezra, and Cayson is both heartwarming and fraught with tension as they navigate their evolving relationship and the dangers around them. Anderson's world-building shines, offering insight into the complex societal dynamics and the harsh reality omegas face.
Packed with emotion, action, and chemistry, this book sets the stage for an exciting trilogy with a promise of a happy ending. Fans of strong heroines, protective alphas, and emotionally charged romance will find this an engaging and addictive read. Looking forward to seeing how the story unfolds in the next installment!

This is the first book in the Omega Selection series, a wolf shifter paranormal romance. I received a review copy and my thoughts are my own. Thank you to the author for my eArc.

Tropes and themes include:
✨ Who did this to you
✨ Omegaverse
✨ Wolf shifters
✨ Why choose (mfm)
✨ Banter
✨ Hurt/comfort
✨ Protective MMCs

Rating: 4/5 Stars 2/5 Flames

The Lovely: I loved seeing the dynamics play out between the FMC, Faye, and the two MMCs. Her relationship with each of them is quite different (which I liked - because the males were so different from each other). Poor Faye - I’m so hoping for her HEAR - she needs and deserves it after everything.

The Mundane: For as short as this book is (approximately 200 pages), I didn’t expect so many internal monologues. These, to me, slowed the pace of the story significantly. I would have liked to have seen more interactions between the characters instead.

Recommendation: This was a fun read and not as quick as I expected. That ending though was just mean. I had some idea of what was coming but not how they were going to “deal” with it. This is a planned trilogy with book two available now and book three due to release in July 2025.

You can't run from fated love. I really love omega verse/shifter romances, and this one was very unexpected. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Typically, there's a lot of order in pack society and it was really interesting to see such a lack of justice and cowardice in this one. Having said that, it made the story really exciting but frustrating for Faye… Understandably so. This book pulled at my heart strings early on with all of Faye's loss and loneliness. The world building was very creative with "the selection" events, and it was a treat watching everything unfold. This book was filled with unlimited angst, I would have loved some spice but given the circumstances it fit with the flow of the story. Because this left off with a to be continued air, I don't mind that fact. Ezra and Cayson were so fun to read, and I can definitely understand how a girl would lose her head over both. I love that you have three main characters who are all against taking a mate but feeling the inevitable pull to one another… I'm looking forward to the follow up book to see them give into the fact that they're clearly fated mates. Very enjoyable read.

Fabulous first book in the series.

Faye doesn’t want a mate and certainly not an alpha, she just wants to be left alone in her cabin in the woods. Only she’s getting to that age and her alpha says she has to go to the selection for her own good.

She tried to run away but is caught and sent to the selection anyway.

Once she is there she meets an interesting alpha although he doesn’t want a mate just to not be tied down. In escaping him she runs into an alpha she already know, the one who killed jet brother and he takes great pleasure in being cruel to her. She is then saved by another alpha who doesn’t have time for or want a mate.

The book continues as does the selection process does. We see the characters getting closer to each other yet Faye still just wants to go home without a mate and the two friendly Alpha also don’t want a mate. But what does the cruel Alpha want, will she have to see him again once she’s home, his is from a neighbouring pack after all.

Brilliant writing and story telling I was gutted when it ended. Lots of twists and turns and plenty of laugh out loud bits too. I’m really excited to see where book two goes.

I really enjoy reading anything by Lacey Carter Anderson and this is no different, with Claimed by Alpha Wolves she gives us a great start to Faye's story.

Scared of Alpha's after the trauma she's witnessed at Alphas hands, Faye is trying to escape being sent through the selection process, unfortunately for her pack Alpha Charles, hunts her down as she runs and sends her on her way.
Forming a plan in her mind to do everything she can to avoid being chosen and aiming to be sent home for another year to spend her life alone, she unexpectedly comes up against the Alpha that is responsible for her brothers death. As Kurtis does everything in his power to intimidate and hurt her, she finds safety surprisingly with two other Alphas, Cayson and Ezra.
Cayson absolutely does not want to settle down and is just at the selection event to have fun and sleep around. Ezra, also doing everything he can to avoid mating as he lost his love and is accepting of a life on his own, are both shocked by the feelings Faye evokes and will do anything in their power to keep her safe to make sure she can have the life she wishes.

Really looking forward to the next instalment of this series!

I’ve been shying away from omegaverse and wolf shifter books, not bc they’re done poorly but because I read too many and now it’s usually boring to me. This series starter however, was anything but. Given the author, I had to give it a chance l, regardless of how I felt at the time. The author also, as per usual, did not disappoint. I loved this world and the characters and story. The story manages to draw you in from the gate, hooking you with Faye’s desperation, determination, and tragic backstory.
Faye has had nothing but bad luck recently, losing everyone she has come to love and care for. Most tragically, her brother, Whose death she witnessed firsthand. Their closeness made her cut off from the pack that ignored his brutal demise. That bad luck comes tenfold when she misses her opportunity and has to be sent to The Selection to find 1 or more mates.
Now she’s dead set on getting through the Selection without a mate, and found an unlikely companion in a man who also doesn’t want a mate. But things quickly flip when she finds herself face to face with the cause of her brothers demise. I’m so excited for the next book, and the next unexpected turn of events.

I loved diving into this paranormal why choose - this book is kind of an omegaverse version of the Selection series. Faye is possibly the only omega wolf who doesn't want an alpha mate - she just wants to live out the rest of her days at her quiet cabin after the trauma she's been through. But she ends up forced to attend the Selection.

She of course quickly meets two compatible alphas - Cayson and Ezra, both of whom, are not looking for an omega of their own. I loved the contrast between these two alphas and the ways their different personalities mesh with Faye.

I was hooked right from the start with this omegaverse and had to quickly read the second book as soon as I finished this one. For fans of omegaverse or shifter why choose this is a great choice.

I took off one star because Faye was a little annoying to me. She is the quintessential "I'm not like other girls", and I found it a little unrealistic that she is so vastly different from all other omegas and is the only one struggling with the fairly oppressive system they live in.

It was an interesting read but nothing ground breaking.

It was obvious that our heroine is a damsel in distress who need the alpha's protection, and the men keep popping up at the right time and the right place every single time. It became very boring as there were no stakes, it was clear that the men who were popping up left, right and center for her were at equal if not at higher footing than the villain of the story. No real danger, no real fights, everyone by the damsel's side is overpowered with plot armor. She's clearly at a disadvantage, she's super weak and is actually a whimpering little wolf (pun intended?). It is a trope so I can't fault the book here I suppose, but I like me heroines a little stronger than downright helpless.

There's some darkness in this, and we do get some depth from the MMCs and the FMC, but we don't get too much to hold onto, all quite surface level. Characters aren't very sticky, I certainly didn't feel too deeply for anyone, except for when we re-live the heroine's trauma which I think was depicted painfully well.

The writing was ok, it was easy to get lost in the FMC's fear and that was done well.

No mate for me

An omega who doesn't want a mate, along with two alphas who aren't looking for a mate, are the stars of the first book in this new RH paranormal romance.

The system has failed Faye. No one stood up for her or helped her when her brother was killed. She wants nothing to do with her pack or a mate. She just wants to be left alone. Too bad that's not how it works for omegas.

Forced to attend the Selection, Faye tried hard to blend in and not be noticed, but it doesn't take long before a handsome playboy alpha stumbles upon her. Oh, he doesn't want a mate either, but Faye isn't planning on being his entertainment for a night either. And of course another alpha finds her later. He's a gentleman but also doesn't want a mate. They are all stuck at the Selection until it's over. To make it worse, the alpha of Faye's nightmares is there too, and he wants to make her pay for naming him.

This is not a quick sweet romance. There is a lot of denial and heartache. It leaves readers wondering what will happen next and if justice will be served.

4.5 🌟’s

Claimed by the Alpha Wolves is the first book in The Omega Selection series, and after reading it, I can say the synopsis describes the book perfectly, although it says it's a steamy reverse harem, at this point, I'd say it's a slow-burn ménage. That being said, it was a really good book—I loved the characters and the storyline.

The book revolves around Faye, Ezra, and Cayson. While Faye, an omega wolf who’s alone in the world after her brother is killed by the heir of another pack, is forced to attend the Omega Selection to find her mate—or mates—whether they’re fated or not, Ezra and Cayson are the alpha heirs to their packs and are only there because they have to be. None of them are looking for or want a mate—and definitely not love—but find themselves drawn to each other. But with Faye’s brother’s murderer also at the selection, Ezra and Cayson do whatever they can to protect Faye from him.

While this story might sound dark, it actually had quite a few light moments that had me giggling. My only complaint is that some parts were a bit repetitive.

If you are looking for a good wolf-shifter romance that will suck you in, this is a definite must-read.

Book Review – 5/5 Stars
Title: Claimed by the Alpha Wolves

If you’re looking for an omegaverse book with zero spice, this one’s actually pretty adorable. The FMC is soft with a hint of sass, and while the male leads aren’t exactly cinnamon rolls, they’re genuinely good guys—which is refreshing. Ezra is our protective white knight, and Carson brings the laughs as the comedic relief. We also get a solid villain—the kind you love to hate.

There’s just enough dark and dramatic plot to keep things interesting and justify its place in the adult category, but there are also sweet and funny moments that made me squeal and kick my feet (you know the ones). It strikes a nice balance between serious and lighthearted, making it a fun, easy read for anyone wanting low-angst, wholesome dynamics with a bit of edge. Definitely a cozy choice with dark elements if you’re in the mood for something different in the omegaverse world.

Ps I’m looking forward to spice in the next book ;)
