Payback is Murder
It’s been three years since Luella Barnes returned to her hometown of Salem, Massachusetts and helped the police solve the murder of her former classmate, Martha Strictland.
Although her friends considered her an amateur sleuth, she hadn’t given much thought to getting involved in another case. Not until Professor Otto Volbrecht, a highly regarded member of the community, was murdered in his office at Salem State University. Luella was at the college that morning when his body was found.
When her good friend and neighbor becomes a suspect in the murder, Luella sets about to help prove his innocence. She slowly gathers more suspects but even the Salem Police Department find this to be a difficult case to solve.
Drawing on her skills as a retired RN, Luella utilizes her assessment, observations and perception to weave together pieces of the puzzle. Assisting her is a retired criminal attorney and someone who becomes a good friend.

Book 3, SUNRISE ON CEDAR KEY hit bookshelves October 2011 and Book 4, POSTCARDS FROM CEDAR KEY, was released October 30, 2012. Book 5, SECRETS ON CEDAR KEY will be released Nov. 26, 2013 and book 6 in 2014.
I'm originally from the Boston area, but have resided in Florida for 26 years. Eight years ago we relocated to Cedar Key (the setting for my novels) off the west coast.
