It was straight out of a rom-com—until two pink lines changed everything.

Zander Shaw is country music’s hottest star. So, when he singled me out of a packed arena and had me pulled backstage, I should’ve known I wasn’t his forever. One signed NDA later, I was sneaking onto his tour bus, wrapped up in his world, and him. But it ended before it really started when he ghosted me.

Then he shows up on my family’s ranch to film his new music video, a surprise to us both. Now I’m his appointed tour guide around the ranch, stuck sharing all my favorite places with the man who carelessly discarded me.

The more time we spend together, the harder it is to guard my heart because his flirty half-smile makes me forget my anger. But Zander’s made it clear, he’s not looking to ride out into the sunset with anyone.

Which would be fine… if I wasn’t carrying his baby.

🫧 Vibes: country music star meets small-town girl

💬 tldr thoughts: another banger from plain daisy ranch series!

In the package:
📦 country star
📦 accidental pregnancy
📦 forced proximity

Plot: Romy had a quick romance with country superstar, Zander, until he abruptly broke things off. Now he's come to her family's ranch to film a music video, just as she discovers she's pregnant with his baby.

Thoughts: Are we even surprised I'm giving this 5 stars? Cause I'm not. This entire series has me in a chokehold and I hope it never ends. I'm obsessed with every character and the found family trope in every book. I'm usually not a fan of the accidental pregnancy trope but it was so sweet in this case 🥹 I loved Romy and how optimistic and forgiving she was despite the universe trying to bring her down. And the tension when Romy and Zander see each other again was 🔥 They’re both guarded in the beginning, shaped by their pasts and Zander’s upbringing, and I loved seeing how much they grew along the way. It was such a sweet story.

Thank you Hambright PR and Piper Rayne for the ARC!

Thank you Valentine PR, and Piper Rayne, for this ALC.

The narrators for this audiobook are Sean Masters and Holly Warren, and they were fantastic, as always. This isn’t the first time I’ve listened to either of them. They always bring audiobooks to life!

Romy had a QUICK fling with country singer, Zander, until he broke things off with her, with no rhyme or reason as to why. Now he's, unknowingly, scheduled to work at her family's ranch to film a music video, just as she finds out that she's pregnant with his baby.

This is an easy, fast paced, high angst, read! If insta lust/love is your thing, this is the book for you!

🎤Small Town Romance
✨Accidental Pregnancy
🎤Country Music Star
✨ Close Proximity

I feel like I’m one of the only ones that didn’t like this book as much as I would’ve liked, and believe me, I TRIED!

This MMC is the literal worst. MAN CHILD. He threw an absolute FIT because Romy didn’t want to hide her pregnancy from the press. Kept her LOCKED AWAY in hotel rooms…. TAMLIN gave me ptsd (iykyk).
Then, her MOM justifies his shitty behavior? I’m confused. This is not the type of man I would want for my daughter! He has swoony one-liners, but where is the action? Where is him showing up, and showing her that he’s dependable?

As far as Romy, I’m not sure what her personality was. I liked her, then I didn’t. Her falling in love with this man over such a short period of time, literal single digit days, made me not like her. I feel like it was never that serious, and the author took that storyline and ran with it. Why? I don’t know. A pregnancy made sense, but why not make this about learning how to co-parent, and have a love blossom from there? This was literally insta lust with a baby thrown in the mix.

I feel so disconnected from both characters. Their connection didn’t make much sense. It’s technically a second chance romance, and they met each other before while Zander was on tour. They met, fucked, and hung out for 3 days. THREE. Zander up and left, and this girl was HEARTBROKEN! I’m talking about, holding a grudge against him for leaving after a 3 night stand. Felt so dramatic.
Fast forward to him getting booked for a photo shoot at her parents farm, and they fall in love again? I’m so confused. The timeline doesn’t add up and feels so unauthentic.

I tried SO hard not to DNF around 60% in, and it REALLY took all of my control to not DNF at 90%, with the stupid third act breakup. How Zander handled that situation gave me the biggest ICK. The third act breakup was totally missed on me, and the book could’ve done without it!

‘chasing home’ is a fitting title for the story of an avoidant-attachment style MMC getting a girl pregnant and deciding if his own demons are worth losing the chance of a forever with the potential love of his life and child.

I thought this story was really sweet and I like how it tackled the common fears that foster children can have after growing up in unstable environments! while the drama and poor decision making skills of the MMC was frustrating at times, I don’t think expecting him to make the right choices, especially in regards to being vulnerable with someone, is realistic. I appreciate how at the end of the day, zander had to face his own fears and make the decision to choose himself and his happiness rather than relying on others to make that choice.

despite these positives, I don’t think I ever fully got behind the romance. I felt that it was very much surface level and the timeline of everything was too quick for my own personal taste. I honestly would’ve preferred if they focused on how they could be a team to co-parent this child and a romance begins from that instead of figuring out how a relationship could work between them due to her being pregnant. personally this would have made their romance that much more believable!

overall, I’ve enjoyed listening to these books (the narrators are amazing!!) and I’ll always be a sucker for a small town romance! thank you to hambright PR and the authors for the e-ALC in exchange for an honest review.

I had forgotten that I signed up for the ALC of this title as well, but I am glad that I was able to wrap up the Plain Daisy Ranch series. It was the series that got me into reading Piper Rayne last year, and led me to their Hockey series and their other pen name as well. So I will always have a fondness for this cast of characters.

Zander and Romy have a few one night stands and are building a connection that scares them both. Romy wants more but Zander is a country star and a bit of a commitment-phobe, so he stops her from seeing him again. Not knowing that he left something behind, something that will connect them forever.

A few weeks later Zander is going to be filming a music video at Plain Daisy Ranch, which happens to be Romy's family business. Now they are forced to face the future together and it might be the chance at love that they both deserve.

There were some really sweet moments in here and I love how Romy's family welcomed Zander into their lives. Zander was also very protective and he definitely needs some therapy to deal with his difficult childhood trauma.

This one was narrated in duet by Sean Masters & Holly Warren and they they did a very sweet job. I thought they brought this couple to life so well.

This book. THIIIIIS book! I was hooked from the very start. I told myself I’d only read a couple chapters before bed and then suddenly it’s waaay past my bedtime. I could not, did not want to stop!

What I loved the most is how much this story focuses on relationships with family, friends, and of course Romy and Zander. Those two together? Perfection. 🤌🏻💋 Their chemistry was so good, and I loved how protective Zander was of her (even if he did go a little overboard sometimes… but honestly, I get it).

Romy is totally the calm to his chaos. He needed someone who treated him like a real person, not just a celebrity, and Romy was exactly that. She truly saw him, understood him beyond the fame, and I adored her character so much. It made their connection feel so genuine. And Zander’s development? I LOVE IT. Getting his POV made everything hit harder, especially his insecurities and the backstory behind the way he reacts to things.

The slow burn between these two was done so beautifully. Nothing felt rushed or forced, and watching their relationship build gave me all the feels! 🤍😩

This book made me laugh, swoon, and even tear up. The emotions were definitely there, and I ate up every second of it. Such a sweet love story and absolutely worth the read.

Also, the narrators Sean Masters and Holly Warren did SUCH a great job. They really brought the characters to life!

Thank you so much to Hambright PR & Piper Rayne for a copy of the ARC & ALC.

3.5🌟, 3🌶️

This story is messy, emotional, and full of small-town heart.

This was a new author for me, and I was immediately pulled in by the ranch setting, the surprise pregnancy (though not a huge fan), and the collision between Romy’s grounded life and Zander’s country-star world. Their whirlwind start and painful reunion at the family ranch created instant tension and kept the stakes feeling high.

Romy completely carried this book for me. She is strong, funny, and emotionally grounded, and I loved that she did not make things easy for Zander after he broke her heart. Watching them circle each other, full of unresolved feelings, longing, and frustration, was compelling even when it hurt. Zander had his soft moments, especially as he connected with Romy and the baby, but he also tested my patience more than once.

The forced proximity, ranch-family dynamics, and emotional moments delivered all the cozy, angsty vibes I wanted, even if some choices and the lack of a stronger grovel held it back. The side characters, especially Beau, were absolute standouts and made me excited to continue the series.

Not my favorite in the series, but definitely one I am glad I read.

"I think everyone should have a place were they feel safe."

Chasing Home delivered all the heart, tension, and charm I love from her stories. I've listened to Piper's stories before on Storytel and I really like her books! After reading this one I really want to read Emmett's book 🤭 such a funny character!!

The chemistry between Zander and the FMC was addictive, and their emotional journey—packed with hurt, healing, and real vulnerability—kept me hooked! I'm leaving here some quotes that I loved from the book:

"I know you struggle with your demons, but I want to be the one who proves to you that you're worthy of love."

"Or if you want to make a real statement, you get dressed in last night's clothes, and I'll escort you into that dining room holding my hand." 💖💖

"I just love it when somebody goes through something really bad, and they get something really great out of it."

"What do you see when you look at Romy, Zander?"

Piper Rayne has officially lassoed my heart with Chasing Home, the sixth installment in the Plain Daisy Ranch series, and my very first book by this author. Consider me converted, branded, and ready to preorder everything she ever writes.

From the moment I started the ARC & ALC (thank you, Hambright PR!), I was glued to the pages like hay to a flannel shirt. I tore through the entire thing in one sitting, emerging hours later emotionally wrecked, blissfully warm, and wondering how it got dark outside without my permission.

Romy, our sweet, capable, ranch-raised firecracker, instantly charmed me. She’s the kind of FMC you root for from page one: grounded, loving, strong, but still vulnerable where it counts. And Zander? Lord help me. A broody, mega-famous country superstar with a wounded heart and a half-smirk that should honestly be illegal. Their chemistry? STRATOSPHERIC. Their tension? Enough to power all of Nebraska.

This story hits every delicious trope: enemies-to-lovers, close proximity, accidental pregnancy, without ever feeling recycled. Instead, it’s raw, emotional, sexy, and heartfelt, with an authenticity that sneaks up on you. One minute you’re laughing, the next your chest hurts, and then suddenly you’re kicking your feet like a teenager with a first crush (I’m 33… allegedly an adult… but who’s counting?).

The writing shines brightest in the small, intimate moments: the unspoken glances, the stubborn push-pull, the quiet healing, the longing between two people who are trying very hard not to fall back into each other. The ranch setting, the family threads, the emotional stakes: everything feels beautifully lived-in.

I adored every second of it. It’s addictive, it’s swoony, it’s angsty in the right way, and it left me desperate to dive headfirst into the rest of the Plain Daisy Ranch series because apparently I now live here 😌. Highly, enthusiastically, shamelessly recommended.

Congratulations to Piper Rayne on this upcoming release. I’ll be first in line for whatever comes next.

4.9/5✨
2.5/5🌶️

From a simple fan in the crowd, Romy Owens becomes something way more for country music star, Zander Shaw. She was single picked by him at one of his concerts, after which they ended up tangled in each others arms. But they were reckless and Romy will later find out that she was carrying his baby. Only, back then, he has ghosted her after just three perfect dates. Now Zander has appeared again, wanting to film a video on Plain Daisy Ranch and Romy would find it so hard to keep her secret, especially when the sparks were still very present between them.

These stories at Plain Daisy Rach are becoming even more interesting with each book I read! I just adooored that small town and big family vibes! It gave to this story such a cozy and relaxing feeling and I felt really good reading it. Of course, that awkward situation Romy was in with Zander was super captivating, wanting to know why things ended up that way. Zander was such a kind and beautiful soul and my heart broke when I found out his story. I liked so much that the focus was on their relationship and on that unexpected situation they were in and that the spicy parts were left in the background. It was a really nice surprise to me🤭.

As always, I adored everything Sean Masters brought to this story with his performance and it was really nice to have my first encounter with something narrated by Holly Warren. They did an amazing job with getting me immersed into this story and having the best time discovering these characters and their beautiful stories.

I just adore this series by Piper Rayne. Honestly, they are becoming better with each book released and I'm in love with these stories. Arggghh, and those covers!! SUPERB!!😍

Chasing Home is the sixth installment in the Plain Daisy Ranch series. This story follows Romy Owens and Zander Shaw, the hot and famous country singer. After Romy and Zander have a few unforgettable nights together, Romy finds herself left with a little surprise… of course right after Zander shuts her out.

Romy and Zander lead very different lifestyles and had very different upbringings. I love seeing them navigate those differences together and their connection grow because of them. I’m always so excited to return to this series. I just love this family so much. I can’t wait for Poppy’s story next 🤭 also petition for Beau to get a book, he seems to be a complex character that I’d love to get to know more about!

🎧 This is narrated in duet by Sean Masters and Holly Warren. I think this was my first listen of Holly’s and she was so good as Romy. Sean’s deep voice was perfect for Zander. Together, they brought these characters to life perfectly!

Chasing Home is the 6th book in the Plain Daisy Ranch series by Piper Rayne. Piper Rayne has easily become one of my go to authors...especially when it comes to when I am in need of a good cowboy/ranch romance.

Chasing Home did everything to pull out all the emotions. When Romy finds out she's pregnant with the baby of a famous musician, she is shocked. She's also devastated because she's sure there's no way Zander, the said musician, will want anything to do with her or the baby. Romy soon becomes determined to fully take care of her baby with no help at all from the father. She's content with where she's at and has a stable future and strong family surrounding her so the support system is there. But just as she comes to terms with all of this, who else would show up at their ranch other than the father of her baby himself.

The ranch is in need of some help to be put back on the map so to speak since traffic on the ranch has started steadily declining. Who else better to help them than the famous Zander Shaw. He has agreed to do a music video on the ranch but WHY did no one tell Romy he was even showing up? Well because she has been a fan of his her whole life and would go to all his concerts (as she is an admitted groupie) which is how Zander spotted her in the first place and had to have her. So when the music star that she spent a few glorious nights with and then shut her out randomly shows up to put on this big priduction all of a sudden, Romy realizes that the secrets are about to be revealed WAY sooner than she expected.

Her family starts to put puzzle pieces together but Romy is like, "Crap! I can't let them figure out that I was with him and got pregnant before I even get a chance to tell him!" Thus begins the cat and mouse chase of Romy trying to find the courage and the right time to tell him before the whole family spills the beans first! As well as not getting caught by the papparazzi that are now swarming all over the rance after hearing the news big boy Zander is in town.

I love love LOVE watching how the hurt from being rejected turns to anger, then turns to "wow I still want him/her to holy heck I'm going to make this person MINE forever." As soon as Zander finally finsds out Romy is pregnant with their baby, he instantly is overprotective over Romy and basically can't help his caveman instincts to watch her every move and try to do everything for her!

This is an interconnected standalone series but I recommend you read all of the books in this series! They are easy to read and so cozy with a decent level of spice!

Chasing Home follows Romy, the youngest Owens sibling, and Zander, a country music star as they navigate an accidental pregnancy while juggling their potential relationship. It is made difficult with Zander’s fame and touring/work schedule.

While I love the sweet and spicy moments this book provides as well as how easy and entertaining the audiobook is, this one wasn’t my favorite. I think my main issues were with the MMC and how unlikable he is. I get that he has childhood issues, but he had so many red flags, the small amount of charm we get does not make up for it (in my opinion). Romy is the fun-loving younger sister from the earlier books (this can be read as a stand alone). Currently she is weighed down with the reality of an unexpected pregnancy after initially being ghosted and rejected by Zander. We don’t get to see the fun side of her personality, as she has a lot to deal with.

The audiobook is a quick and fun listen, Sean Masters and Holly Warren do an excellent job narrating in duet style. While I did not enjoy the MMC, overall I still enjoyed the book as the characters from Plain Daisy Ranch shine through with their humor and love for one another.

Thank you, Piper Rayne and Valentine PR for an advanced listening copy of this book.

Chasing Home is the kind of book that sneaks up on you with glitter and cowboy boots and then suddenly you’re emotional over accidental babies and country singers with commitment issues. I came for the drama, stayed for the feelings.

Romy Owens is a ranch girl through and through, grounded, stubborn, loyal, and one reckless backstage moment with country superstar Zander Shaw flips her entire life upside down. Sparks fly, he ghosts her (sir???), and months later she’s pregnant and very much on her own. Until fate, a music-video shoot, and a small-town ranch collide and force them back into each other’s orbit. Awkward. Painful. Electric.

From the moment Zander steps onto the ranch, the tension crackles. He’s messy, wounded, charming, and emotionally allergic to stability. She’s hurt, guarded, and fiercely protective of the little life growing inside her. Watching them circle each other, wanting, resisting, fighting, was deliciously frustrating. There’s real softness in the way he bonds with Romy and the baby, and real strength in how she refuses to let him waltz back into her life without earning it.

The forced proximity, the surprise pregnancy, the fame-meets-small-town contrast, it all works. The plot moves fast: backstage fling → ghosting → pregnancy surprise → reunion at the ranch → emotional chaos → rediscovering what “home” actually means. The angst hits, the swoon hits, and the ranch-family vibes wrap everything in that cozy, emotional Piper Rayne comfort blanket.

Why it’s not 5 stars: I wanted to shake both of them at times. The early ghosting, some of Zander’s decisions, and a few moments where Romy went along with things she absolutely deserved better than had me in full side-eye mode. I needed Zander to emotionally evolve just a bit faster. But Romy carried this book on her back and I loved her for it.

✨ Trope Checklist:
– Celebrity x small-town girl
– Backstage fling → surprise pregnancy
– Forced proximity
– Second-chance tension
– Ranch family found-family vibes

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ tender, messy, and swoony in all the right ways, a heartfelt small-town romance wrapped in country-star chaos.

Thank you to Piper Rayne and VPR for the ARC! 💛

Another book that had me hooked from the very beginning! First, the narration was perfection. Sean Masters and Holly Warren did such a fantastic job as Romy and Zander. They did such a fantastic job bringing the emotions to the characters and really bringing them to life.

I loved Romy so much. She was sweet, understanding, and had so much love for her large family. From the second she found out she was pregnant, Romy did everything in her power to do the right thing for her baby. While she wanted to be more with Zander, she knew she had to protect her heart. However, she couldn’t deny the spark that seemed to grow stronger between her and Zander.

I’ll be honest, there were several times that I wanted to shake Zander for his actions. While he grew up completely different from Romy, his past still affected his present and it took his manager and best friend, Beau, to help knock some sense into him. When he found out about the pregnancy, I loved that he really stepped up and knew that he wanted to be in their baby’s life. He was very protective of Romy and the baby, although it was a bit much at times.

I really loved these two. There was so much tension between the two and their chemistry was great! I know Romy was a super kind and understanding person, but I do wish she would’ve had Zander grovel more than he did. While I know his past is why he pushed her away, I was glad when he realized he was sabotaging himself. I loved getting more from the others in Romy’s family and I loved how supportive they were of both of them.

Overall, I loved this audiobook. Every time I started listening, I did not want to stop. I’d definitely recommend this if you love an accidental pregnancy, country music star, close proximity, small town romance.

I love Plain Daisy Ranch, the people on it, and this beautiful little place Piper Rayne has created. Accidental
Pregnancy is one of my favorite tropes and i absolutely loved the way this one was done. Zander is a famous country musician, and Romy has been his number one fan for, well forever. Zander pulls Romy backstage and they spend three nights together but then he pushes her away. Now, he’s on her family’s ranch to film a music video and… she just found out she’s pregnant with his baby. I loved getting more depth in Zander and truly understanding what caused him to push Romy away in. There is so much depth to his character, and his past and his trauma. He didn’t have the best childhood but what’s to change that for their child and make sure they have everything they could ever desire. His character growth throughout this story was amazing. I also loved that Romy was strong and stood her ground about what she wanted while also being vulnerable enough to let him back in for her and their baby. When they each finally let their guard down their chemistry and connection is everything. The banter in this series is amazing. The found family. Their journey to their happy ever after.

Duet narration by Holly Warren and Sean Masters and these two really brought Romy and Zander to life. Sean did a wonderful job as Zander and really portraying all the emotions that were there on page.

Thank you to Piper Rayne and Valentine PR for an early ARC and ALC in exchange for my honest thoughts, opinions, and review.

I’m saying it — this is my favorite book in this series to date! Zander and Romy's story completely swept me away.

When country music star Zander Shaw shows up at Romy's family ranch to film a music video, the last thing either of them expects is to confront their unfinished past. The tension when they first see each other again is absolutely palpable, and watching them work through old wounds while trying to keep things professional was everything I wanted and more.

What I loved most was finally understanding what drove Zander away in the first place. His backstory adds so much depth to his character, and seeing Romy stand her ground while still being vulnerable enough to let him back in was beautiful. And when these two finally stop fighting their feelings? The chemistry is absolutely off the charts. Their journey to a happy ending felt so satisfying and genuine.

The family (real and found) in this series continues to be a highlight, with interactions that feel warm and real, and you can't help but fall in love with every single one of them. 🎧Sean Masters and Holly Warren's narration brought Zander and Romy to life perfectly. This book was everything I'd been hoping for, and I'm so glad Romy finally got her story.

Chasing Home

“Holy sh!t,” Zander whispers, gripping my hand tighter. “Goddamn… f***.” He pauses. “Crap. I’ve got to clean up my language. I can’t have our baby’s first word be fuck.” He looks at me with conviction. “I promise you, Romy. It’s not going to come out saying fuck.” I giggle. “I hope not.”

“Zander, you’re my family now. And I know that you might, like, find someone and marry someday… And she’ll be a second mom to our child. But this…” I take his hand and put it on my stomach. “This makes us family. We are a family.”

“This makes you so d*mn sexy, you have no idea.” He presses his hands gently on my belly. “Mine,” he says.

Another absolute hit at Plain Daisy Ranch! I am absolutely obsessed with Zander and Romy! The tension between these two when they first reconnect was so thick and I couldn’t get enough! love this big family so much and seeing them all interact is my favorite. We learn about Zander’s past and how that has shaped him into the person he is today, and why he pushed Romy away. And When these two reconnect, good god are they hot! I just loved everything about this book and seeing these two get there happily ever after!

I absolutely love when I get to return to Plain Daisy Ranch! This family is just one of a kind wholesome and a lot of fun.

I have been looking forward to Romy's book for a while and I was so excited with Chasing Home was hers! You know a whirlwind romance with the Country music star Zander Shaw left her heartbroken and least of all did she expect him to be on her family ranch to plan his music video. They both have to put their issues aside to make this vision become a reality. Unfortunately an unexpected surprise shakes it up a bit.

This book makes you feel for these characters and you just can't help but root for them! Piper did a great job on writing a celebrity x small town romance. I just absolutely adored this book. Also, the narration was a dual narration and the voice actors did amazing!

I usually hate the accidental pregnancy and music star tropes, but OMG. Piper Rayne has officially convinced me they can write any trope and make me love it. Chasing Home was so unexpectedly sweet and addictive.

I loved that the story unfolds on the set of Zander’s upcoming music video shoot because it added such a fun, behind the scenes vibe to the romance. And Romy? I am obsessed. Her entire family brought so much heart and warmth to the book, and the little cameos from characters in previous books made the world feel even richer.

I also loved the narration on the audiobook. It was done in duet narration which is always my favorite and they did a fantastic job bringing emotion and heart into the story.

The only reason this was not a full 5-star read for me is that the whole “should I tell him or not” conflict started to feel a bit repetitive. Even with that, I still absolutely loved this story.

Piper Rayne does it again. 💙📚✨

Ugh, this series is SO cute. While I’m not always a fan of the accidental pregnancy trope, I think this one was done so well. I really enjoyed the connection between Romy and Zander! How they met?! Come onnnnnn, it was so kismet 😍 the famous country music star/heartthrob and the love struck fan? Seriously, I had so much fun. The voice actor for Zander was drool worthy! Can’t wait to continue this series after that epilogue.

Thank you to Hambright PR for sending me a gifted ALC of this one ❤️

4.5 rounded up

Romy has been living under a veil of heartbreak. Tossed aside by her favourite musician after an unexpected whirlwind romance, she's set to forget he exists. Until two pink lines show up, and her family tosses a surprise her way that makes everything so much more convoluted. Now she has to see the man who broke her heart at her family ranch, and find out a way to tell him she's carrying his child.

*****

I'm unabashedly in love with this series. After the last novel I was so excited to see where Romy would go after little breadcrumbs we were dropped throughout. I wasn't expecting to be tossed to the deep end within the first chapter but I absolutely loved that we were right into the thick of Romy's meddlesome family from page one.

Zander was a surprising character. Closed off, semi-healed from trauma, and not really seeing himself as worthy, he made an interesting lead to counteract Romy losing her mind over trying to keep her distance, while also laying the groundwork to tell him her secret. The two of them danced around each other while it was clear Zander realized they should be more, and Romy spiraled about what the future would look like.

The slow burn of them falling into their feelings, the big reveal and them trying to make it work despite how the world functioned around Zander and his celebrity was such an interesting take on the celebrity/small town romance dynamic.

All in all this was the perfect next book to the Plain Daisy Ranch series, and I can't wait to dive into the next one.

✨ Thank you to Piper Rayne and Hambright PR for the ALC in exchange for an honest review! All opinions are my own. ✨

This was my first novel by Piper Rayne, and it did not disappoint. Can you imagine a country singer spotting you from the stage during a performance, bringing you backstage, and instantly forming a connection? That’s exactly what happens to Zander and Romy—until he ghosts her. Afraid of commitment, Zander abruptly cuts things off, unaware that something will soon bind them together forever.

About two months later, Zander is shooting a music video at Plain Daisy Ranch and unexpectedly runs into Romy. What will the future hold for two people still connected by a few unforgettable one-night stands?

Narrators Holly Warren and Sean Masters add distinct personality to the story and complement each other beautifully. Holly captures Romy’s emotions in a way that makes it easy to connect with her throughout the story, while Sean perfectly conveys Zander’s internal struggle and delivers a confident, compelling male lead.

Pick this up if you enjoy second-chance romance with accidental pregnancy, small-town vibes, and forced proximity. While this is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone.

I loved this one! It's like a girls dream that your favorite singer will spot YOU in a crowd and bring you backstage. This is exactly what happened to Romy which turned into a few visits with the country singer, Zander Shaw. But then he ghosted her. So imagine both of their surprise when he shows up on her family's ranch to shoot his next music video. Only this time, Romy has a secret - she's pregnant with his baby.

I love these two!! Zander tried so hard to fight his feelings because he felt like he was unworthy of anyone's love. Romy is such a sweet, patient FMC and honestly I adored her. I loved seeing them reconnect and bring all those buried feelings back to the surface. They had to work through issues such as how to be together, have a baby together and yet him still be in the spotlight.

I love the huge family aspect on the Plain Daisy Ranch. Family is so important to them and I love that they bring Zander (and his best friend, Beau!) in and help him feel like he finally belongs.

This is a duet narration by Sean Masters & Holly Warren. Sean was absolutely wonderful as Zander. I felt like he brought out all the emotions. He portrayed Zander's rough edges yet the softness for Romy too. Holly is a new to me narrator and I absolutely enjoyed her!! Sean & Holly's voices blended together beautifully and kept me invested in this story!

Thank you so much to Piper Rayne & Valentine PR for this ARC/ALC.

ALC Review!

Absolutely loved the narration by Sean Masters & Holly Warren. They were so perfect for Zander & Romy

I have absolutely loved this Plain Daisy Ranch series so far. This is the 6th book in the series & it was everything I wanted!!

I’m not usually a lover of accidental pregnancy, but my goodness Romy & Zander absolutely changed that for me!! I was obsessed with their characters and this story. Zander is so protective of Romy in this book and it made me swoon! I also loved getting to see his past and dealing with how those emotions play into his relationship with Romy. Truly such an amazing story!

This series has some of the best family/friend dynamics and I can’t wait for more from them!!

This was a very anticipated read for me and I’m excited to say that it was everything I hoped for!!

There was a unique twist on an accidental pregnancy trope, I love the trope personally, but I really loved how it was used here!

You get a little hint at who the couple is going to be through a previous book, and that’s what had me so excited! Small town girl with a country music star 🤭 he falls hardddd but doesn’t want to admit it 🙄 and he ends up unknowingly, using her family’s ranch for his next music video for a song that he wrote about her 🥹🥹🥹🥹

Love this series so much!!

I love being back at Plain Daisy Ranch! Chasing Home brings us Romy’s story and it did not disappoint! After being swept up by Zander after one of his shows and staying with him a few nights, she never expected to be ghosted like she was or that she would see those two little pink lines show up later on. Another unexpected surprise, Zander and his crew showing up at Plain Daisy Ranch to film a music video after all of this went down and both of them being shocked to see each other again. Loved seeing them reconnect as they spent more time on the ranch and seeing Zander recognize/work through his emotions.

The audiobook is performed in duet by Sean Masters & Holly Warren. I think these two were perfect for Zander & Romy and they made listening to this one very enjoyable!

This was probably my least favorite in this series. But maybe that’s on me. Let's just say I'm not a fan of the unexpected pregnancy trope…
