Funny, heartbreaking as well as heartwarming

Melia and Jaxson's story was an attention grabbing story of pain and suffering that caused mental illness and the fight to get back to life again. I learned about phobias and in Jaxson she found someone to help live again. Loved it.

Fabulous, Fantastic Read

Trauma is real and so is phobias, I start my counseling back you tomorrow. I wanted to cry for Melia especially when she was at the cafe. Her type of phobia at one point I might not would have understood. But after I divorced my husband he thought it was his right to continue to have sex with me whether I agreed or not. Truthfully I think he acted like that because that’s the way he did it the last 9 yrs if are marriage. I didn’t understand that he wanted it when I didn’t want it or sometimes when I was asleep. I really hated it, once he left for good, I would jump if someone ran or came in my room unannounced. My grandchildren would ask me I would laugh and tell them they surprised me that’s all. Now to find a good man like Jaxon that would be the icing on my cake.
It brought back memories for me, but I really enjoyed reading this story.

Love with a disability

Melia was kidnapped and held hostage for 2yrs. Because of that, she has a severe fear of being touched, to the point where she wont leave her house, except at night to go to the park. Jaxon is the son of a rich family who does special ops on the side. Tormented by a failed mission, he finds himself running at night. This leads to him meeting Melia. She learns to trust him and he learns about her disability. With the help of her therapist, they navigate it together, working to help her get better. But there are things in their past that could ruin the relationship they are building. Unless they talk about it.

Such a great story, full of understanding and love. I love how the author handles this disability.

Well written

This book was wonderful. The characters Melia and Jaxon were so well written . To be kidnapped and then have to struggle with Haphephobia . The fear of touch is just wow. The way this story was written was excellent and exceptional. And to tie in the rescue of Meila to Jaxon PTSD was just beautiful. They both have to deal with traumatic events in their lives. Read the whole series you will be amazed.
Side note Colin needs his story.

Melia and Jaxon were definitely an unlikely couple given the circumstances. We've known Jaxon since book one as the grumpy older brother who has no time for love and relationships. Melia coming in and disrupting his carefully controlled life was refreshing to read. I love when the relationship and love are unexpected because that makes for a better story. I enjoyed this book because we have a conclusion of the family and a happily ever after you can't be that.

I loved Melia and Jaxon's story. I found myself getting very emotional as the story evolved. The storyline was original unlike any book I have read. Kudos to MzSassyauthor. I can't recommend this book enough. Love this whole series.
