I think this is one of the more well rounded books on wellness. Definitely heavy on her personal story and less information about what to do, but felt refreshing to read an approach that wasn’t over the top and was grounded in scripture!
Overall really loved the message of stewardship in the book and while our health journey is ultimately up to God, we can still be good to the bodies that He has given us. I wish there had been a bit more scripture, seemed really focused mainly on a few chapters in Genesis. I also didn’t fully relate to the health struggles the author faced so it was hard to connect but I definitely sympathize and appreciate her honest story.
Such a great read! So practical & helpful. A book and principles I will come back to often! I loved her perspectives and wisdom, but also loved how she didn’t shy away from making sure her perspectives were rooted in scripture and sharing the hard things. Lots to take away from this one! I highly recommend!
I heard an interview with the author and was intrigued which is what prompted purchasing this book. With so much information coming our way around wellness, body image, etc., I found this book to be both a refreshing and spiritually grounded approach to wellness. It is both practical and realistic, challenging the reader to wrestle with the idea of stewardship of their body and resources.
This is a book that I will certainly reread! Perfect for motherhood, ideal for hope after miscarriages or infertility, and helpful tips to apply in our ever-changing world. Her personal experiences lend well with sharing her knowledge of unique areas of life all with the intention of "Be(ing) Good to Your Body."
Good thorough information. Book seemed long to read with lots of words and narrative. I would have liked more concise bullet points. While great to hear from a younger person I will search for books with this topic from older women with more insight and perspective
The message the author was trying to get across was good....the writing was not great, though. This book could have been half the pages it is due to so much repeat and repetition.
This book was really good for mothers and wives. I wish that it had more details on things that are harmful for your body when it comes to the food. Other than that it was a really good read. It captured the readers attention a lot more. It had a good message behind it.
