Before reading this book, I liked the idea of a Dark Harry in theory, but the few stories I tried out were so very serious about their darkness. Harry was broody or angsty or insane. It was dreary darkness. Is it so strange to want a light, funny Dark Harry Potter? No! Because here he is. Not that this story was all black gumdrops and blood-splattered rainbows. There were feelings too, feelings other than bloodlust and lust-lust! There was some anger. Actually, there was lots of anger, but not the broody type thank god. There was some pain. Love. Loss. Et cetera. And a touch of angst - just a touch! - in the right places.

Is Harry in character? Er, no not really. There are wisps of teenaged Harry still hanging around, but for the most part he's completely different. This doesn't happen overnight, mind. He spends ten years in the Shadow Realm. Reasonable to believe that'd change a person. He's sexy and definitely more articulate and, of course, a vampire. Sort of. Moving on. Voldemort. Is snake-face in character? Again, from what I can remember from the books, not really. More than Harry though. He's funnier. And not as insane. Still completely nutters, but then Harry's a little nutters himself so their relationship comes off alright.

The ending. It was certainly interesting. Morbid, for sure. I only wish he's seen Pretty one last time... At least Little Pretty got a last hurrah. Best secondary characters in the book.

No dobrze. Znacie to powiedzenie, że "czasami człowiek musi, inaczej się udusi"? No właśnie.
I chociaż ta historia nie jest jakoś specjalnie kanoniczna, to jednak kupiłam ją całą sobą i świetnie się bawiłam. Voldemort, który poza byciem chorym psychicznie sadysta jest też przebiegłym, inteligentnym i potężnym magiem z olbrzymią wiedzą. I Potter, który nie jest głupim lalusiem. Dużo rzeczy, które lubię, nawet jeśli fabuła na koniec postanowiła pójść paść się na łączkę pełną maków.

There are 2 different versions of this. I enjoyed the rewrite immensely but found out it's been 6 years now since its had an update? I am saying there is an original that is finished and an awesome rewrite that isn't finished. So what do you do. You read both of course!? Anyways I hope to see the rewrite finished but I expect it's not going to be finished. Welp. If you find yourself here and wanna read it i think it's worth it.
