Dear Author,
I’ve never needed anyone. People are a vulnerability I don’t need or want. But then there was him. I couldn’t get him out of my head, he was a distraction I didn’t need. No matter how much I pushed him away, he kept coming back. One kiss and I know I’ll never let him go.

Photo Description:

Loved, loved, LOVED this short *FREE* story.

Jude's severe OCD forces him to bleach and scrub his *entire* apartment, multiple times *daily*, when his well-ordered existence tips even slightly away from the norm.

So when Jude's quiet, elderly neighbor across the hall moves away and is replaced by an extremely attractive and persistent young man, Devin, with designs on becoming his friend (and possibly more), Jude's entire world is thrown into shambles. Also *daily*.

This book was all about slowly facing your fears in order to become the person that you want to be, living the kind of life that you want to lead.

I completely ADORED the scenes where Devin (annoyingly) bounced a ball against Jude's door, from across the hallway, until he answered, then they each sat in their own doorway and began to open up to one another.

That then led to many shared meals, delivered by skateboard from doorway to doorway, and actual feelings, not the least of which being bravery on Jude's part.

I loved that Jude put in the time, doing the hard work, to make himself better, without any *Magical Penis* injecting 'OCD Craze-Away' [insert squeaking bed spring sounds here] to solve his very serious mental health issues.

Crazy amazing story, with tons of cute, megatons of feels and even a bit of sexiness -- once Devin cleaned his apartment so that being there didn't make Jude's skin crawl. ;- )

I really can't recommend this short *FREE* story enough.

So 4.5 *Nash-knocked-it-out-of-the-park* stars. Well done.

Apparently I was thirsty and I didn't even know it.

My first thought once reading this story today in the first 10%: Refreshing.

*gulps*

Still sticks.

I do love to read about it ALL. Every damn thing. Gimme gimme more words such is a true bookworm's read-hungry soul. I love the loud, smutty books and I love the serious, quiet ones with the same amount of joy. I crave the quiet so much. Especially when it forces me to focus, listen, be patient, wait for the magic to unfold on its own time.

"Carte Blanche" did this for me.

It might not do that for you. And that's okay. :D
We can't all read and love the same things.

Maybe I enjoyed this book more because I'm surrounded by more Judes than Devins in my part of the world. Maybe because I appreciate the spotlight it brings on people who have disorders and struggle to function in a world that might be easier for some to navigate through.

A twenty-something named Jude who also has social anxiety, OCD and panic attacks has a new neighbor...who he can't seem to get rid of. Or wants to. Jude is a loner, works from his apartment, obsessively cleans and other than his job and a solitary online friend, has no one. It's bleak. His new neighbor, Devin adds color to Jude's white walled world.

I loved the characters. I loved their friendship. I liked the pacing. I loved the journey (that continues) of Jude. It's definite, this is a work in progress. No quick fixes here. No magic penis with a mouth attached that easily solves the tangled ball of OCD/social anxiety that is Jude.

I was hooked from the first bit but around 80%, that slayed me. My breathing got heavy, my mind blown. My heart runneth over, anything after 90% was just the icing on the already made cake of my feelz.

It felt organic. It read organic. There is a sex scene - eh I could have done with or without it. This story is not a bang-bang shoot 'em up or a week long fuck fest. It's a quiet journey for a young man in search of himself. Devin is just the catalyst. Even with such a serious topic, it was light enough not to weigh you down. Also, this author is a bit of a romantic, I've noticed as this is not my first rodeo with her work. I love the way the epic fairy-tale-esque quality to the romance she delivers.

Maybe you're more of a Jude, maybe you're closer to Devin (good if you are or aspire to be, we need more of you) either way, this is quite the story to read.

I'm still smiling. I love books with heroes that are more oddball than perfect. They get me every time.

Told in single POV, 1st person, it’s a standalone novella. It was my first read by this author, it started off really good but then... I don’t know there was something missing! But my major complaint was about the pacing! Everything happened and solved so fast! The story mostly was about Jude’s issues and less about the romance between the MCs. It could have been more angsty (because of Jude’s struggling) but then it was really sweet! Also, I’d like it more if there was better character development! Overall, it was an enjoyable read despite the issues and hope you like it as well!

Update 6/4/14: I finally remembered #3. (And no that's not some weird poop thing. Ew. Anyway.)

Three things occurred to me while reading this book -- no, four. Yeah, four.

One - I've only read A Different Dance by the author. While I liked it -- it was very cute & sweet -- I am highly impressed by how much Nash Summer's writing has improved. This story definitely has a depth, maybe because of the subject matter, that was lacking in the other book. (Not to criticize, Dance is definitely meant to be fluffier than this story.)

Two - I think I must be a sick individual. Normally I only wish great unhappiness upon politicians and other drivers. Having said that, I'll shamefully admit that I just love, love, love stories about depressed/OCD/PTSD/whatever else mental problems you can shake a stick at, who fall so in love with a hunky man that they're inspired to find new ways to handle their issues. I get all choked up just thinking about it. It's possible I'm projecting. More on that fun subject later.

Three - It was in my brain but now it's gone. But it's definitely supposed to go here so I'll add it when it comes back to me at 2:47 am.

Edit #1: 2:47 am. Still can't effing remember.

Edit #2: 7 am. I REMEMBER. I liked the way meeting A MAAAAN didn't suddenly solve all of Jude's problems. I'm really not fond of books where meeting a dude (generally followed by the insertion of a magical penis) means that all former problems fall away in the face of lurves mighty powers. I just want to tell those authors to fuck off and have more respect for their readers.

Four - I'm just going to write this part as quickly as possible, so please excuse me if I make no damn sense.

As mentioned above, I read a lot of stories about people experiencing some sort of mental disorder or illness or whatever. They almost always fall for the same type of guy: the strong, hunky, handsome man who is endlessly supportive. The woobie. The safety blanket that makes everything okay. I love it, I love the idea of it, but I think it's completely unrealistic. What guy sees a twitchy, depressed person and suddenly decides to love them? For no apparent reason? I have criticized this in many other reviews, said that to be a truly good novel there must be some kind of fault, some inner conflict, in both MCs.

But you know what? You know what? I had a sudden realization while reading this story; I'm totally fucking projecting my fears, my prejudices onto these books!

In case your missing what I'm avoiding saying here, it's my belief that no one will ever lo-- well, let's be positive and say that for me it feels extremely unlikely that anyone could put up with the epic amount of drugs -- prescribed by a doctor, naturally -- that I take to pretend to be a functioning member of society. So therefore it must be extremely unlikely for a character in a book, with their issues, to find love.

But it's quite possible that's not true. It's quite possible that I'm just making an assumption based on my own fears. Just because I have fears doesn't mean that love is impossible for characters in books. It doesn't mean that love is impossible for people in real life. I will even say, WITH CONSIDERABLE RELUCTANCE, that it may be possible that someone someday may look at me and see past my walls of sarcasm, my need to hide behind my depression and say, "Hey! She seems like a rockin' dudette! I'd like to get to know her." And it's possible that even though this person uses terms like "rockin'" and "dudette" I may think he's worth lowering my defenses just a little, so I may get to know him as well. Who knows what will happen? Anything!

description

(That's supposed to be me jumping for joy, BTW. In case you didn't get it.)

So, thank you, Nash Summers, for that psychological breakthrough. You've made my psychiatrist a very happy man.

I will now return to my regularly scheduled sarcasm and jaded perspective. Thank you.

Perfection wrapped in 50 slightly heartbreaking, gorgeously written pages.

Jude, one of the MCs in this short, has severe social anxiety and OCD, and the ticks and mental anguish described are spot on. Perhaps Jude's rode to recovery and his mom's change of heart were a little too easy, but that's called literary license; this isn't a psychology manual.

There was so much sweetness and tenderness in the story. Jude was like a little lost puppy, and Devin, oh, Devin. GAH! I'm so glad Jude had him.

Dinner on a skateboard; an hour in the sun; a kiss tinged with passion: moments that stay.

LOVED this story. I may have cried a little.

Carte Blanche is such a wonderful story!

It is the love story of Jude and Devin.

Jude has severe OCD and social anxiety disorder. His disability is presented in a very shocking and heartbreaking way. Through Jude’s narration, it feels even closer.

He works from home, never leaves his apartment, and has a strict routine. But when a new neighbor moves next to him, his routine gets interrupted, causing stress and weirdly also some delight in his life.
Somehow, I couldn’t help but smile at him. Devin was so full of life; he was shiny where I was dull, he was vibrant where I was bland. He seemed to make the world around him a little brighter, even if I didn’t necessarily mind living in the dark.

Devin knocks on Jude’s door at random points, making him even more stressed, but a little while later also more open and courageous. Devin is amazingly patient as he is trying to get him out of his shell.

The time span is quite long, of course not long enough to believe Jude’s improvement, but it’s a romance after all. The writing style is so engaging and captivating you can’t put it down. Highly recommended!

"Carte Blanche" was another wonderful story in the "love's landscape" event by m/m romance group.

Jude, has severe OCD and social anxiety he doesn't leave his apt at all. Devin, moves into his building and start approaching him and they slowly become friends.

It was so difficult to see Jude's struggles with OCD, his loneliness but when Devin comes into his life it changes everything. Devin was so patient and caring gosh I loved him he was absolutely perfect for Jude. He gave him the push he needs to get better but at the end it was Jude, who made the decision for himself. I hope Jude gets to see all those places he dream of with Devin by his side! <3

Me hurts remembering this book. Me cried, me despaired, me fainted, me loved it! 😫😫🤧💙

Mental illness of any kind is rough, living it or seeing someone else go through it, because even if the illness isn't the same, you know how it feels like to be your own enemy, you know the fear and the despair.

Still I read about them, because they are important.

Everytime Jude had to clean my heart broke and everytime he did something out of his comfort zone I cried with joy. This work was short, but it packed a deathly punch, it went to the point and no, a dick wasn't a magic fix. 🤧🤧

"I asked about you. Your first and only response was to tell me about your disorder. You aren’t your disorder. You told me about all the things you don’t like and none of the things you do like. I just find it hard to believe someone like you is completely comprised of dislikes and not a single like.” Denver

"A small part of me wished that I was normal, that I had the courage to get up and walk over there and join them, but I knew that wasn’t possible". Jude

"You are strong". Jude

Yes, you are. Lovely book. 💜💙🧡❤

This is the first LL story I've read and it was a great start.
Jude has OCD, it's debilitating and keeps him house bound, but his new neighbor Devin might just help change that.
It's a sweet and touching story, and I loved that Jude had encouragement but took the initiative and steps on his own, to try and change his life.

Tender-hearted metamorphosis.

A condensed tale of Jude's journey to take back his life with a lot of encouragement from his new neighbor, Devin. A bit traumatic watching and empathizing with Jude and smiling and wishing more people could be like Devin. Not realistic, but it sure does make you feel good, hopeful.

Nash Summers came to my peripheral when I read her short story, A Different Dance, and loving it. Also some of my friends seem to be championing her. I took notice of her announcing the cover for this Love Landscape's story by way of friend's liking her update. So, when it turned out that her story was one of the firsts being posted, well, I jumped in and read it.

It was good. It was REALLY good. I have always been prone to stories where the characters have flaws. In here, Jude (Hey, Jude) suffered from OCD and social anxiety disorder. Ms. Summers described this situation with clear writing and she even gave a great background about what started this situation.

Devin was the color in Jude's life, he slowly took Jude out of his shell, to change his pattern. I thought the slow-burned progress of Jude finally opening up his life to possibilities was done just right.

"You aren’t your disorder. You told me about all the things you don’t like and none of the things you do like"

But the best thing about this story?

That while Devin was the one introducing Jude to something new, but it was Jude who took those steps to get being better. It was Jude who tried to find that help he needed. When Jude called his mother and told her about his achievement, I was so proud of him.

I was not going to write long review for this year's " Love Landscape's Event " because there were so many of them, and I thought I should focus on reading. But I couldn't do it for this one. Things must be said. So let me just say that this is definitely a great way to start the Love's Landscape Event!

There is always a noticeable sadness surrounding Nash Summer's books but it's a sadness that is not foreign -- one you can connect easily with, one you've certainly felt even just once in your life. And it's this simple understanding that make her stories so poignantly real.

Her characters most of the time are polar opposites but they're equally beautiful. Most often they are broken, like Jude, but Nash Summers doesn't dwell in their brokenness or make them pitiable. She makes you see the beauty in their humanity. How despite the cracks, they're still whole. I am deeply honored to see the world in the author's eyes.

If I reflect on it more and more, I realize it's a side of humanity I'm scared to lose each day. It's a side of humanity I forgot still existed. And when an author allows you to think of things in a worldly sense, going beyond the four corners of the world they've created, then it makes them successful in their job (which doesn't really feel like one) to move you, touch you, and even change you.

This is a well-written masterpiece that deserves 5 stars so easily, no questions asked.

Well, this was a nice read to start off the new year.

Jude suffers from severe OCD and social anxiety. He's resigned himself to living in his stark white apartment and never visiting the places he dreams about as he plans trips for others through his online travel job. Devin is the hot new neighbor across the hall who won't let Jude just "be".

This was so sweet and perfect in almost every way. I loved how Devin researched Jude's disorders and pushed him out of his comfort zone to help him heal. Jude was a strong character who, even though his body rebelled against it, he pushed himself to try.

I would have rated this higher if it centered more on their relationship than Jude's growth. It was so short for that much time to be devoted to it but it was still a beautiful and sweet read. This is my first book by Nash Summers and it won't be my last. The writing grabbed me from word one.

The story hooked me in the first paragraph and kept me in its thrall until the very last. It was beautiful and touching and made my heart ache in ways both good and bad.

Devin and Jude were both fantastic, layered characters and their chemistry together - even with a hallway separating them for most of the story - was friggin' electric.

This story gets all of the stars. ALL OF THEM. ★★★★★

This story is available for free, as part of the Goodreads M/M Romance Group's Love's Landscapes event.

Loved it, loved it, LOVED IT! I've been looking for an MM romance that deals with OCD in an in-depth and realistic way and I finally found it! The story might be short and it might be a bit rushed but I didn't care because the author does such a fantastic job with Jude's OCD. Not only is Jude's OCD portrayed very well but his recovery journey and all the positives and negatives associated with it were perfectly done.

I also loved that the author included different people in Jude's life who had different approaches to dealing with his OCD. In particular, I thought it was interesting that the two people he was closest to (his mother and his friend Amanda) had well intentioned but unhealthy ways of dealing with Jude's OCD. I also loved that Devon refused to accept that Jude defined himself purely by his mental health issues. He pushed and encouraged Jude to figure out who he is as a person (what his favorite color is, what his future goals are, whether he likes drinking beer or not etc) and not allowing him to view his OCD as anything but the negative, life destroying force that it is. Seeing Jude blossom as he starts to fight his OCD was beautiful, especially when he started gaining confidence from his successes. He did have some setbacks (which was realistic) but I loved that the author showed the progress of him going from having surrendered his entire being to his illness to instead viewing it as an enemy that he could defeat. Having Jude take an active part in changing his relationships with his mother and Amanda to be healthier was also wonderful.

I also loved Devon's role in Jude's recovery. The tiny steps Devon makes to improve Jude's life were so heartwarming and I loved that Devon had done tons of research into OCD to figure out how best to help Jude. He recognized that Jude had been so beaten down by this enemy that he had accepted his permanent defeat and Devon rushed to Jude's side with two swords, handed one to Jude and then started beating the crap out of Jude's OCD to demonstrate that it could be done and eventually, Jude got brave enough to join in the fight and that's when forward progress started. Devon never wavered in his support of Jude and his belief that Jude and him could defeat this monster that had controlled Jude's entire life for a decade.

His encouragement and praise were so wonderful, especially when the steps Jude took were tiny and wouldn't be seen as a big deal by anybody else.

I loved every single part of this and it's by far my favorite depiction of OCD that I've come across so far. I would love for it to be a full length novel purely because I'd love to spend more time with these amazing characters and this amazing plot. But there's no question that I'm giving it 5 stars and I'll cherish this book for years to come. Do people like Devon exist in the world? Very probably not. It makes no sense that Devon would take such an interest in befriending the shut-in who lives across from him and it also makes no sense that popular, attractive, extroverted Devon would spend months putting huge effort into helping Jude and slowly fostering their relationship, especially because Jude rudely rebuffs his attempts at friendship multiple times at the start. If Jude was the last guy left on earth then it makes sense that Devon would put in that effort but in reality, this wouldn't happen. But that's one of the big reasons I love romance novels because I can immerse myself in the fantasy that people like Devon do exist and situations like this do happen, even if they really don't.

In addition, I realize the story is a bit rushed and Jude's recovery had a lot less setbacks than he would have had in reality so my 5 star rating is one of the rare cases where I'm rating based on my emotions rather than the quality of the story. In cases like this, the story resonated so strongly with me that I'm not capable of viewing it objectively and thus, it gets 5 stars from me but YMMV.

This is not a plot I'm used to find but it sort of reminded me a lot of the Ten Count series, so the novelty was lost on me.

I wanted to read this because it's Nash Summers, but in fact it didn't touch me the way fawn did. Not even close. This is a light read instead, the fragile fearful guy who lives in his apartment, and the new confident neighbor who falls for him for apparently no reason whatsoever, and goes through all the 'baggage' this person has... well, the idea is kind of romantic, but it's not very realistic.

Despite this, I can't deny this is a very sweet story and gave me good vibes. What I really complain about is how fast the plot is solved.

Yes, the OCD aspect is important. But here, errrhhh: now I have it, now I don't, now I have issues again, now I'm cured. Well... not convincing at all. A person with OCD suffers, and it's a painful and slow process to get over it, to get better. I personally believe the author doesn't emphasize well enough the importance this matter needs.

Also, the problem with the mother is not even talked about, one moment she is the 'cage', and the next she is all accepting and understanding.

However, the romance aspect is not less unbelievable. Too rushed for my taste, too 'easy'. They are touching hands (if ever), they have a conflict which separates them for a while, the MC decides to redeem himself and 'shape up' for the sake of the other, and suddenly they are together-forever-in-love as if nothing wrong has happened.

Uh?

There was something missing for me here. Like, the most part of an average novel. This change felt like a memory lapse rather than the contentious process of growing up as a person in order be healthy enough to have a happy and balanced life with your partner, in order to be able to cope with the daily complications the existence offers, and to fulfill your most profound wishes.

If felt incomplete. It felt not enough.

This year I want to spend more time reading the Don't Read In the Closet Love's Landscapes books and a little less time writing a review so aiming for VERY short and sweet...

This was a lovely story. I really felt the struggle that Jude lived with each day. There is a risk with a story like this that the disorder can overtake the character but not so in this case. I sympathised with Jude and really liked him as a character. There was nice pace to the development of his relationship with Devin. Devin was wonderful and I loved how he responded to Jude–gentle and coaxing.

I LOVED THIS BOOK SO HARD!!!

I loved every word! Jude was so adorable. He could have been a whiny bitch, given his disorder, but instead he was brave and courageous.

Devin. OMG, Devin! That man was a saint. Everyone should have a Devin. Mine will show up soon, I certain.

Nash, you are a beautiful person and that shows in your writing. Thank you for sharing your time and talent with the MM Romance Group!

3.5 stars rounded up to 4 for the clear, concise writing.

Another great entry in the Loves Landscapes event.

An incredibly sweet, slow-burn love story about a guy with OCD, and the neighbour who challenges him to explore the world again.

It addresses the prompt perfectly.

4.5 stars rounded up.

It's my second read by Nash Summers, and this one also a free DRitC short. I read fawn first and fell in love with the Author's beautiful, poetic style.

Carte Blanche was totally different and very much alike at the same time.
The style was still beautiful and captivating and I wanted to luxuriate in this story as much as I could, but...

The biggest advantage of this short is, IMHO, also its biggest drawback. And I'm talking about the fact that it was written for DRitC event and it was, well, short...

Now, don't get me wrong! I loooved it! It's just that the MC, Jude, has severe OCD and social anxiety disorder and his condition changes, improves rather quickly, presumably during several weeks. Carte Blanche has just slighly above 50 pages and that's why for me Jude's transformation felt a little "rushed". I'm sure his and Devin's story would've been even better if we got more time, more pages with those two wonderful characters. And their HEA would've sounded even more believable.
And that, folks, is my only complaint ;)

I must also tell you that I adored Devin, the other MC, whose never-ending optimism as well as his unwavering support and encouragements helped bring Jude out of his shell. I loved his ways, his little tricks to coerce or rather coax Jude to try new things, step by step, to branch out and become more brave and more happy.

Generally? A very good, solid story which could've been a great full-length novel. And Nash Summers' flowing, smooth (and addictive) writing style saved the 5 star rating for me :)

My fear of everything and everyone kept me in this small, dark bubble of life.
Damjana knows what she's talking about! :-)

This short story was packed with emotion. To me, it almost had a fairy tale vibe to it; very romantic, very sweet with a strong (though possibly improbable) premise holding it all together.

Definitely worth checking out!

This was beautifully written, and I found the portrayal of OCD related illness very believable and intense. I love healing stories, and watching Jude tackle the many limits he'd placed on his life was very satisfying. I was less inspired by Devin, whom I found to be overly wishful--he felt like an embodiment of Jude's healing rather than a person with independent motives.

Overall: great addition to the Love's Landscape event, and an author I will definitely return to.

This was so beautiful. A short look inside Jude’s brain, and his battle with OCD. Devin is Jude’s new neighbour. The romance is not the main focus here, but Devin is there, patient, caring, loving. Watching them fall for each other and finally be together gave me so many feelings.

Nash Summers always manages to create great emotional depth in any story she’s telling. Her characters are complex and the things they feel are often profound, which makes for stories that always linger well past the time of reading.

Here, I loved the way Summers explored mental health and personal growth. The MC, Jude, has severe OCD and it impacts his life in all ways. When he reluctantly meets new neighbour Devin, Jude’s house-bound existence and his view on life and his limits, are challenged in ways he could never have predicted.

At first, I was a bit miffed at the way Devin pushed Jude to do things out of his comfort zone, but that was a very personal reaction from a reader who lives with her own chronic illness limits and mental health issues. But, ultimately, Devin was the best thing to happen to Jude, as their friendship (and eventual romance) grew, Jude found new, profound ways to decrease his anxieties and open his heart and mind up to a new way of coping and healing, building plenty of hopes and dreams for a future worth living.

This may have been short, clocking in at only 57 pages, but it packed in quite the emotional punch in that time. I enjoyed reading about Jude and Devin and their unlikely but worthwhile relationship.

In as few words as possible (keeping in mind I'm logorrheic), this is the story of a young man tormented by OCD and anxiety in possession of both a selfish bitch of a mother and a new neighbour who's the classic deadly combo of gorgeous-and-kind. Somewhere in these 57 pages, he starts coming out of his apartment shell and becoming his own self without being defined by his issues, all thanks to a swift kick in the ass delivered by Mr Perfect in the form of stalking relentless visits out of the goodness of his heart and possibly a crush.

And let me tell you, despite being nothing new, this story is wonderfully refreshing and uplifting. It does not shy away from the sad and slightly sickening, but it's just as straightforward and open in dealing with Jude's slow, painful, elating growth, all while being smoothly written and very visual.

Yes, the romance is more of a catalyst and an afterthought (sort of like two parentheses) rather than a relevant part of the plot all throughout, and the last 20% of the story is rushed in that slow progress becomes disorientingly speedy healing of the mind due to a gorgeous smile and a magic dick, but none of this story's flaws are noticeable or annoying enough to detract from
a. the wonderful journey it narrates and
b. the overwhelmingly positive message that is enclosed in it.

Decent effort but it was all telling.

A very simplistic approach to OCD and social anxiety disorder.

The character of the mother was more like a caricature than anything else.

And not all m/m stories need to feature full-on sex.

Nice cover though.

What a formidable story to kick off the LL event!
Loved it. I can't stop smiling, thinking of Jude and Devin happy traveling togheter far away from Jude's white prison.

“I asked about you. Your first and only response was to tell me about your disorder. You aren’t your disorder. You told me about all the things you don’t like and none of the things you do like. I just find it hard to believe someone like you is completely comprised of dislikes and not a single like.”

4~~I would be okay~~ Stars

The Story it's quite different from anything i've read!.

One word to describe it. Serene.

Now you might think i'm loco. to describe a m/m book peaceful. with a character who struggles with his own problems. Simply the characters were no perfect! and, no drama, fights, nor ass kissing!!.

Jude- a travel advisor and planner. who have severe OCD and social anxiety disorder. He prefers solitary. to have the same routine everyday. and works from his apartment. his only companion is his online friend.
Whenever jude have anxiety/panic attacks his only way to relax is obsessive cleaning.

When his new neighbor Devin moves in right across from his apartment. That's when Jude comes to live again!

Everyday, Devine consist on making small talks with jude. which i found really adorable. but that made jude a bit annoyed.

"This was the kind of change i hated, the kind i had no control over."

I truly loved their conversations/meals with each sitting on their own doorway!!. the way their friendship starts, and with each day passes Jude becomes vibrant.

Enjoyed the author's work. it was heartwarming, romantic.

This book was a good read for me, because i've seen or lived with people who struggle with OCD and such. It might not be the book for you. You decide!
