When dangerous supernatural prisoners escape LAMB’s facility, agents Fiona Maguire and Lorcan Wright fear the Druid prophecy of a second apocalyptic battle between light and dark magic will soon come to pass. But the partnership between the magical witch and her half-demon lover––already strained with restoring the company and complicated family issues––is torn apart when past enemies and former lovers reveal long-kept secrets.
Anguished over deception and betrayal, Lorcan retreats to the demonic realm of Dark Lord Odhran. Should he choose to follow his evil father’s footsteps and lead the renewed campaign of malevolent magic, the transcendent witches will fall before his strength. Even Fiona’s escalating powers won’t stop him.
But Fiona believes that Lorcan is clinging to the scrap of humanity left in his heart, desperately working to prevent the battle. And if anything good remains of him, Fiona will cross time and space, even return to the scene of her darkest nightmare to reach him.
If they survive, is there any hope for their future? If her faith is misguided, will she have the ultimate courage… to kill the man she loves?
Just finished reading Druids’ Dark Curse, the final book of the series, and found it an exciting read. There are lots of twists and turns in both Fiona and Lorcan’s relationship, family dramas and with the potential uprising of the dark forces again. Leigh Ann Edward’s has brought the final chapter to a fine conclusion. While this is a great book on it’s own if you haven’t read the other books in the series I highly recommend you do.
What an amazing ending to a fantastic series. I have loved this whole series , but this one I couldn’t put down until I finished it. I have read everything LeighAnn has written and loved them all. But this I enjoyed so much more because I could relate to the woman in this series. Being that she’s closer to my age. And her being a witch was perfect.
Leigh did an amazing job with ending the five book series. I feel it wrapped up well. I liked all the chemistry between, Fiona and Lorcan. This is not usually the kind of book that I read. However, I did enjoy it. If you like the witchcraft supernatural reads then this one would definitely be for you.
I just finished Druids dark curse, I loved it! The family drama and the ups and downs. I found myself getting so involved with each character. The twists and turns you didn’t even see coming. It was a great ending for this 5 book series. Like all of Leigh Ann books I will enjoy reading this one again and again.
This is the last book in this series. I’m really going to miss the characters in this book and the trouble they get themselves into. They always keep me turning pages and trying to guess what’s going to come next. I always thing I have it all figured out, only to discover just how wrong I am. This book was no different.
I loved the beginning of the book with Fiona, Lorcan, and their combined family. For a change, they’re getting some relaxing time together. All is going beautifully until Fiona’s daughter returns with her Druid husband Danhoul from a camping trip. Something happened on that trip, something that’s never specifically spelled out. That something has made Amarra desperately unhappy, enough so that she returns from 1700s Ireland to modern day Boston with Lorcan and Fiona. While there, things start to veer away from the happy times they’d all experienced in historic Ireland. It isn’t long before they’re all dealing with dark magic. Lorcan will undergo a transformation that he might not be able to return from.
While I loved all of the characters, good and evil, I felt that Amarra acted much more like a snarky teenager than a 29 year old. She really irritated me, but as the story moved toward the end, Amarra seemed to calm down and mature.
This book could probably be read as a standalone, but I think it would make much more sense if the earlier books were read first. That will help the reader understand all the characters, their backgrounds, and their relationships. There’s a lot of relationships from different time periods, and a lot of history between many of the characters that can get quite complicated at times.
This is very much a book for adult readers. While there's no graphic physical intimacy, there's a serious amount of talk about it. There's also crude language used. It's all fitting to the characters and the story, but if these things are disturbing for a reader, they should take note.
This book, as earlier ones, is filled with action and adventure. There’s time travel, all sorts of magical beings, family, friends, enemies, and more. This book is a quick, easy read. It’ll keep you turning pages, eager to learn what happens next. I highly recommend it.
I received an advanced reader copy of this book from the publisher, Tule. I thank all involved for their generosity, but it had no effect on this review. All opinions in this review reflect my true and honest reactions to reading this book.
Oh my, this book really had me in a chokehold until the last page. Ive been reading it in one sitting straight, Lol. Simply couldn't put it down. This book not only concludes Fionas und Lorcans lovestory, it also reveals a lot of secrets i did not see coming to this extent. I also loved to see Amarra, Fionas daughter, being a big part of this book. Druid's Dark Corse is a worthy finale to the serie. I absolutely adore the authors ability to pick up every lose string and tie them up to a satisfactionary end. To be honest, i am sad to see this serie came to an end. I really loved Fiona and Lorcan's story ♥
A whirlwind of family drama and an evil uprising await Fiona and Lorcan. Too many jolts to the heart by Fiona draw Lorcan back to the dark side and allow his demon side to flourish. He and his minions wreak havoc on LAMB headquarters causing death and destruction. Heartbroken Fiona is determined to reach Lorcan’s human side to rescue him from the evil he now embraces. Success is not guaranteed at all. An exciting tale of good vs. evil. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I couldn’t have asked for a better ending to this series.
It’s always sad to say goodbye to a great book series. But I couldn’t have asked for a better ending. The story was full of emotion, humor and fun banter that I have come to expect from these books; along with exciting battles, unexpected twists and a couple huge revelations. I just didn’t know how, or if, Fiona and Lorcan would get their happily ever after. I am going to miss these characters. I highly recommend this book and the entire series.
Leigh Ann you did it again. I’m so grateful to read your copy. What an awesome read. I would highly recommend this series. So much excitement and some sad. I was sitting at the edge of my seat. I couldn’t put it down. I loved all the adventures. The ending was perfect. Can’t wait for your next adventures.
