Deadly Wrath: Scars from Sin

Rate this book
Olivia Morano

I’m not here by accident. My job at Elli Enterprise is just a cover. I’m searching for answers—everything points to the Commission and one man in Alessandro Gualtiero, the most feared Don.

Getting caught was never part of the plan. Now, I’m in way over my head, but I refuse to back down. Alessandro is dangerous, ruthless, and consumed by rage, but I’m not about to bow to him. He thinks he can scare me into submission, but I’ll fight back, even if it means risking everything.

Alessandro Gualtiero

Olivia had the nerve to dig into my life, my business, and my past. I should’ve taken her out the second I found her snooping, but Liv… she’s different. She challenges me in ways no one ever has. Taking her was supposed to end things, but now, every time she defies me, it only makes me want her more.

We’re enemies. But the more we fight, the more I can’t stay away from her. The line between love and hate is starting to blur, and neither of us is safe. Liv thought she was hunting me, but now she’s crossed a line that will change both of our lives forever. She doesn’t know it yet, but she’s mine and I'm not letting her go.

Mafia Romance | 🔥 Enemies to Lovers | 🔥 Off-the-charts Spice

If you're into tattooed Mafia Dons, sassy heroines who don’t know how to back down, and spice that might just melt your Kindle—Deadly Wrath is your next obsession.
Liv is hunting for the truth about her parents’ deaths. What she finds instead? Alessio Gualtiero—broody, pierced, dangerous, and completely unprepared for the chaos that is Liv. She sasses, he smolders, and their enemies-to-lovers banter is pure gold.
He kidnaps her (technically), she calls him "Warden," and somewhere between the secrets, violence, and a literal cage scene, they burn the world down around them.
It’s dark, dirty, emotional, and absolutely addictive. Willow Katz delivers. Just… check the trigger warnings, then dive in and enjoy the destruction.

At the tender age of 10, Olivia’s life changed, all she has ever wanted is answers about what happened to her parents, she uses the skills that she was taught only she wasn’t as discreet as she thought she was, with her cover blown, her fight and flight kicks in, because she’s now caught the attention of Alessandro Gualtiero, a ruthless mafia don. He wants answers, getting caught wasn’t part of the plan, she won’t back down, she’ll play his game, even if it means risking everything.

When Alessandro comes face to face with Olivia, she is not what he expected, the sassy fiery red head with a smart mouth. Olivia had no business digging into his life, what he wants is answers as to why. He knows he shouldn’t have taken her, but her, she’s different, she challenges him in ways no one ever has , calls him out, he wasn’t supposed to want her, but every time she defies him, it only makes him want her more.

Alessandro and Olivia fall into each other deeply and irrevocably. He owns her, claims every ounce of the fiery beauty.

But there are secrets in there past that threaten to derail what they have. When their past collides with their present, all hell brakes loose. Instead of giving Olivia the chance to explain, in his anger he lets her go. But what they don’t realise is their enemies are closing in, having taken Olivia as collateral, her family want revenge, for the sins of the mother come back twofold. Only then does Alessandro realise the truth and the mistake he made of letting her go, the only woman who’s broken down his defences and made him fall in love with her.

The lines blur between love and hate, as Alessandro plasters himself beside Olivia, grovelling is beneath him, but he will do whatever it takes to make it right with Olivia. The only place she’ll ever be safe is in his arms. Because what they have defies logic, they’ve both crossed a line, one they don’t intend to change and when Olivia comes face to face with Alessandro’s father, and the man that Olivia has considered as her father, Carver, filling in the blanks, to answers about what happened all those years ago with her parents, getting the closure she deserves, everything coming full circle.

Olivia and Alessandro’s lives have been forever changed, that fateful day brought them together. Despite all that they went through there’s one thing left for Alessandro to do, claim Olivia in holy matrimony, she is his and he’s not letting her go, ever. But the bittersweet moment is when she tells her husband that they’re going to be parents. Alessandro and Olivia both get the life and the future that they deserve. There happily ever after with there children and growing family couldn’t have been more perfect.

Alessandro and Olivia’s love for each other was dark, dirty, emotional and beautifully addictive. Between the secrets, violence and smouldering chemistry, her sassiness and his dominance, ignite a flame so white hot that they literally burn the world down around them. The banter was off the charts, because these two give as they get, there back and forth was equal parts sizzling and laugh out loud funny.

But more importantly there are some sexy scenes that will live rent free in my head. Because the author put the kink in kinky, spice in spicy and the smut in smutty. Not only was their love carnal, it was primal. Warden Alessio had the ability to render his Queen’s body into sinful pleasurable mush. It was hot, steamy, sinfully wicked, dark, dirty, decadent and deliciously depraved. Their limits know no bounds, each giving equal amounts of pleasure and pain, both giving back in equal measure.

Highly recommend both the author and the book. I cannot wait to read what this author writes next.

I received an ARC. Therefore, I am submitting a voluntary review.

Girls! I found my new book boy friend!!! And no—I won’t share him!

Willow got me hooked with these tropes and since I’m a sucker for tatted bad guys, the cover did the rest. And she did NOT dissapoint! I devoured this book in three nights—I would have finished even sooner, but I need at least some hours of beauty sleep.

We meet Liv, who is determined to uncover the truth about the loss of her parents. But she’s poking around in mafia territory, and that never ends well. Enter Mafia Don Alessio—a sin on two legs, tattooed, pierced, and utterly demanding. He decides to keep Livi—first, to protect her, and second, because she unknowingly ignites a fire deep inside him.

And can we *please* talk about the banter in this book? The way Livi refuses to be intimidated—throwing out smart comebacks even when she’s staring into the stormy eyes of a literal mafia boss? Iconic. And Alessio? He gives as good as he gets. Their back-and-forth is equal parts sizzling and laugh-out-loud funny—the kind of banter that makes you grin like a fool at your Kindle.

This is an intense mafia story filled with hidden agendas, raw emotions, bloodshed, and an overwhelming mix of desire and desperation. Willow knows how to keep you hooked from start to finish. Don’t miss out.

Quotes:

And her mouth—God, that fucking mouth. Probably soft, warm, and sinful as hell. Made to ruin men without even trying.

“I hope you’ve got a safe word,” I say darkly. “Because I have every intention of fücking the soul out of you.” “Safe words are for quitters, and I’m not one of them. Do your worst, Warden.” Olivia’s fearless, but she has no idea what she just unleashed.

And with that, I go upstairs to the den of sin and start to grab supplies—v!brators, clamps, and plügs. Oh, and I can’t forget that monster of a d!ldo with two sides, just to scare her with. She’s walking in behind me and gasps like I just unleashed the fücking Kraken.

⁉️QOTD: What would you do if you found the den of sin belonging to the mafia don? ⁉️

THIS BOOK is everything I didn’t know I needed. Wow…I’m truly left speechless you guys. Willow Katz is a new to me author and holy christ on a cracker I AM HOOKED!!! It’s a done deal, no questions asked. Her writing, character development, suspense, and spice are top notch! When I tell you that I completely devoured this book. I didn’t leave a single crumb left! The amount of times that my jaw literally fell on the floor is astounding. Pretty sure I said to myself, “no…she did not just do that.” LMAO.

Olivia “Liv” is trying to look into a Mafia Don who she believes has something to do with the murder of her parents. She doesn’t know much and wants to find the missing pieces. Well, the Don she ends up stalking…cue in Alessio, he ends up stalking her back. He “technically” kidnaps her but we LOVE all the red flags, am I right? Oh girls…she IS SASSY as a FMC can get! I’m obsessed with her. There isn’t anyone else in this fictional world that can stand up to Alessio but she perfects this beautifully.

Alessio….HOLY HOTCAKES! He is broody, murderous, fierce, and loves to “punish”…if you know what I mean. Who better to punish than the one and only Liv, whom he kidnapped and won’t stop sassing him around? Oh and get this….SHE GOES FERAL for his “punishments.” GAHHHH the spice in this book is on a whole different level. The kinks, fighting rinks, “play” room, and even a motorcycle.

Yes…yes, this book was so HOT I can barely put it into words. But the suspense throughout the entire thing leaves your heart racing. Also, I cried. If any of you know me, I don’t cry often in books but oh man, this one gutted me, broke my heart, and pieced it all back together in the most perfect way.

Honestly, I wasn’t sure if this book would be for me at first. I felt a bit confused, and the descriptions seemed a bit too long — but I couldn’t have been more wrong.

As soon as the main characters met, I started enjoying every word. Liv was exactly my favorite type of female lead — witty, stubborn, and together with Alessio, they made the perfect pair. Their chemistry was incredible!

Alessio is the definition of a morally gray character. He doesn’t shy away from violence and isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty when needed (and sometimes even when it’s not). And yes, he has his own room — think "Christian Grey meets medieval dungeon" — and the scenes that take place there are absolutely worth it!
Still, he’s loyal to the core, and you just have to love him.

I’m not usually drawn to books set in the world of the Italian mafia, but this one was definitely worth it, and I have no regrets about reading it. It was funny, sexy, and even touching at times. Just when I thought nothing could surprise me anymore, there was always another twist! 🔥

Crying at 5am was worth it! This book was so good! Alessio is a grump and the man in charge of the Mafia. Olivia is a force to be reckoned with and challenges him at every step! She will gladly take any punishment he gives her!

Spice: 💋💋💋💋(for the way the spicy scenes left me feeling 🥰🥵🔥)

My journey with Willow Katz starts with Deadly Wrath, the second book to the Scars from Sin Series. All I have to say is right from
the dedication I'm sucked into this story. I love that there is a translation list at the beginning of the book. It has everything from Mafia Dons to a fiery redhead. Olivia just wants answers to her mother's death and father's disappearance. Her search lands her in Elli Enterprise digging up dirt on the Commission which leads her to Alessandro Gualtiero. Only she doesn't realize her search lands her right into Don Alessios hands. Secrets unfold and the truth is revealed but at a cost. Olivia and Alessio battle all the odds for their love.

This book took me through a whirlwind of angst, spice and witty commentary. The spice does not disappoint either, with each one spicier than the next. I ate this book up like it was my last meal. I love Liv's terminology for Alessio's manhood. Thunder-log will always be a favorite. Alessio is definitely one of my top favorite Mafia book boyfriends and oh what I wouldn’t do to trade places with Olivia. And we can't forget our favorite enforcer Kota. He is just as witty and charming, but at the same time do what it takes to keep the ones he is loyal to safe.

I really relate with Olivia in chapter 47 right now. I can't wait to devour more of these sinful men. Alessio can definitely spank me into submission.

This book really grated on me for several reasons. Ultimately I couldn’t enjoy it because of these.

The first and biggest was that I wasn’t convinced Alessio or Liv loved each other by the end. All they’d shared together was a lot of sex. When Liv told him she loved him she’d never seen him in a heroic situation that could tell her he was courageous, generous, or compassionate. When he told her he loved her it just seemed random, like he needed to say something on the eve of their wedding to make their union more convincing.

Second, I don’t like the characters or their voices. Liv’s voice jangles my nerves. It’s as if she can’t feel deeply but all she can do is make wisecracks. She’s never allowed to show true strength. All she can do is take it and break for Alessio in the bedroom. She never rises above a one-dimensional sub. Nor do I like how fast all her fight left her. As for Alessio, he’s nothing but anger and teasing. He has no other qualities to make him a fully fleshed-out character. He’s also just plain stupid. He calls out to the doctors “Don’t let anything happen to her!” as if that’s going to make a difference in the CT scan, as if they can control the results. This is just one of many instances where I was scratching my head wondering if he’d been dropped on his head as a baby.

Third, Alessio does a few too many rotten things in my books. First and foremost, he’s a horrible judge of character, for all his claims of reading Liv well. He doesn’t read her when it counts the most—when her life is on the line. He buys into the whole idea that she’s been betraying him, when it’s clear, if he looked at any of the clues, that this is impossible. It’s a cheap trick for the author to pull just to get them separated, and I don’t appreciate it. Also, he did what I can never forgive—he drugged her on the plane with a hypodermic. Then, almost as hatefully, he put her in the hands of a man he should’ve known (“I’ve known him since he was 12”) was abusive, disrespectful of women, and misogynistic—Alonzo. How could he not have known (unless he really is an extremely poor judge of character) that this man hits women? Worse than that, he didn’t kill Alonzo after hearing he’d been beating up Liv. That to me is utterly unforgivable. Further, Alessio sees women as holes to be used and nothing more—including Liv. The blowjobs he has her give him are just like the one he had Nicole give him in the plane in the opening sequence. This just serves to make Liv like Nicole—a floozy he uses for his pleasure. Finally, he’s common—there’s nothing fine or interesting about his mind. Nothing classy or complex. He fights, he fucks, and he threatens/tortures. Those are his three modes, and none of them has anything very interesting about them—nothing that stands out to make him memorable or makes him more than obvious. But this feeds back into his simplicity and stupidity. He just strikes me as an animal—nothing more.

Fourth, the writing style isn’t very polished. It has the same two constructions over and over—either a main clause followed by a participial clause or a main clause with a coordinating “and” linking it to another main clause. It has a lot of redundant phrasings and usages. I don’t like the way chapters sometimes go back in time and the reader has to figure out (a) when it’s happening and (b) how far back in time. On top of that, sometimes the going back in time contradicts what we’ve seen in the previous chapter.

A few other things bothered me—the fact that though Liv knew self-defense, she didn’t use it when it most counted—against Ezra. In fact, she never used it in action, except to have that teasing session with Alessio that led to more fucking. I didn’t like the clumsy way Alessio dealt with Alonzo—shooting his hand off so his wife’s dress got all bloody and the important dinner among his men was completely ruined. It’s inelegant and sloppy. Also, for the first half of the book Alessio never came inside Liv. Then suddenly he’s coming inside her. But there was never any reason given for why he started coming inside her when he hadn’t been. It’s just left open-ended with no answer. Finally, I don’t like that Alessio never really did anything heroic. It didn’t count when he resuscitated Liv (that’s common human decency) or hired Paola after she got out of being trafficked (again, human decency). He needed to do something truly painful that showed he could suffer as a hero. He never did this, so we really don’t know what he’s capable of.

Two questions were left unanswered at the end: why did Liv poison Cindy (I know she was filling in as a temp for her and wanted to continue to do so, but is it likely, given her humane character, that she would poison a woman for this?); and why did Alessio decide to go back to save Liv when mere hours before he’d rejected her as having betrayed him? These two questions were too important to just let go.

The spice is definitely spicing in this book 🔥🔥 There's a lot of spice throughout Deadly Wrath... the cage scene 🥵🔥 However, the backstory/plot 5 still featured throughout, which I really enjoyed.

Willow Katz did a great job of concluding the story, giving readers a full picture, and making sure we had answers to everything, rather than leave us with unanswered questions. I really enjoyed how the story of Livs' life from childhood to adulthood unfolded.

Liv was the perfect FMC. She was sassy, fiesty, and strong. Her personality did not waiver despite being up against a Mafia Don. She made me laugh throughout, and I enjoyed her nickname, the Warden, for Alessio.

Alessio, on the other hand, started out as what appeared to be an emotionaless, arrogant, stone-cold killer. However, as his relationship with Liv developed, we saw a deeper, softer side to him and he became more likeable. Although the arrogance still remains 😂

I think Alessio and Liv make a great couple and compliment each other greatly.

Would recommend this to anyone who enjoys lots of spice, mafia romance, enemies to lovers. But I would definitely say to check the trigger warnings first.

Tropes:

▫️Mafia Romance
▫️Organized Crime Kidnapping
▫️Forced Marriage
▫️Alpha MMC
▫️Sassy FMC
▫️Pierced magic cross
▫️Enemies to Lovers
▫️Second Chance Love
▫️Grumpy/Angry MMC
▫️Spicy 🔥
▫️BDSM

I loved loved loved this book. It's a long book, but it flew by. I was shocked when it was done..

The storyline was awesome and hooks you in from the beginning,

Olivia is doing some of her own undercover work, trying to solve her childhood and get some retribution. She is crazy AF looking into the big mafia bosses. She is like a force of nature, built out of sass and bad choices, then like whoops ok that was too far🤣 I adored her.

When Alessandro realizes this girl seemingly out of nowhere is snooping, he tries to capture her, and then she escapes him in front of his men.. that roof scene was priceless. I was like, yes, girl run... he finally captured her, and I was like ok yes girl be captured.

However, these two are more similar than they think. Yes, he is arrogant and used to getting his own way. However, they soon find they both like that thin line between pleasure and pain. They both have so much gumption.

You get enemies to lovers, suspense, and spice that will have you drowning in lust.

Alessio will have you wanting to get spanked and begging for more. Passion and raw sexual chemistry between them is perfection.

Added in my adorable kova (yes, i just called a huge enforcer adorable , i stand by this. He is adorable) and some snippets of Antonio, who is a side character in book 1.. something about that silver fox.

Honestly, the dialog between our two MCs is off the charts, I laughed so much, and then this Don is also sweet... It's definitely possessive, or as he says, it's not jealousy it's teratorial.

I was hooked on this book from the moment I started this book. Chapter 1 starts when Liv is young, and it brought up so many questions that I just had to keep reading to find out the answers to. For those that have read my reviews before, you know that I dont like it when authors claim microtropes or plot points that are incorrect or not really relevant. That’s kind of how the forced marriage is. Yes, he springs it on her but she never really argues it. When I got about halfway through, I realized that all those questions the beginning of the book had me asking, had still not even started to be answered. It kind of just felt like the story plateaued. It wasn’t terrible because thats when most of the spice happened and that was really well done and interesting. However, it definitely made me not really enjoy the FMC because the whole point of the beginning of the story was her wanting to find out what happened to her parents, then she just stopped asking for answers from the MMC. The MMC even mentions it at some point that he stopped looking for answers when he realized he had feelings for her. It just made the story stale and a little uninteresting. Then, when we finally got more plot, it almost didn’t make sense because there wasn’t any lead up to it. Once I caught back up to the plot it was very interesting and the ending was so sweet.

I love captive x captor tropes, especially if it’s mafia romance and enemies to lovers. These specific tropes do match up with many other books I’ve read before and while it was good, it didn’t really catch my interest since it wasn’t particularly dark or sweet. However I did enjoy this, it was comforting for me (will not be for everyone) because it’s just the kind of book I love reading. This plot is really good, and while revenge plots are common in dark romance, this one was one of a kind. There were some twists about stuff in her past that did not see coming at all. It was honestly an amazing plot. And I love the punishment and forced submission trope, which was done very well in this book. We definitely got a great sassy fmc, like sometimes the author says it’s fem rage or sassy fmc and it’s not or it’s very minor, however this girl is feisty as heck. Our Mmc is your typical obsessed mafia boss, who realises how deep his feelings for her run, nothing really special here. I love how manipulative he is though (yes I know it’s a red flag), when she says she doesn’t want to be his, he says “you chose to be mine the second you looked into me”. Like damn! I enjoyed this and would recommend it to anyone who loves these tropes. It’s a 3.5/5 for me.

** Do Not, and I mean DO NOT, judge this book by the cover, oh and ensure you read those triggers, or in my case a delicious menu**

Oh be still my unhinged heart! I was told this was amazing by one book bestie (and to sign up for an ARC) and then another finished before I started, and they were not wrong! Willow this appealed to all the deep, unhinged recesses of my mind and heart and is EXACTLY what I crave.

Olivia (Liv) is undercover to get answers, answers about The Commission and more importantly, who killed her parents. Everything points to one man, Alessio ( and oh what a man!!). He is unhinged, dangerous, does not break a sweat as he unleashes his 'interrogation' and his fascinated by the first person who does not shy away from him, In fact, Liv challenges his very being, and the back and forth between them, and the heat, had my kindle nearly up in flames.

When I say I was beautifully surprised and inhaled all the darkness as quickly as I could devour the words in this book......I was and did. Willow, you have a new fan and I cannot wait to read what you have in store next. Always, ALWAYS, listen to your books besties, Thorunn, thank you.

Alessio & Liv
The story: Alessio catches Liv digging up information for him and takes her hostage. His excuse is that he took her to protect her until he finds out why she was searching, while the real reason is that he likes her and her sassiness. With days passing by, they come closer, especially in the 'bedroom' area. However, things aren't that easy when Alessio discovers that she wasn't exactly the woman he thought her to be.
Things I liked in this book:
-The story was really catchy and unexpected, especially towards the end. I was surprised at the secret communication the two side characters had.
-There was always suspense to know how things would unfold.
-I laughed a lot with Liv's phrases and comebacks to Alessio.
-Alessio's loyalty to his friend, to Liv, and the family.
-The spicy moments were what I loved the most. There were a lot, hot with kinks and all.
Now, there was only one thing I didn't like, which was the very descriptive scenes of torture. Not that I was triggered, but I felt like they could be less explained or even omitted.
For a mafia (not my fav genre) it was a very good read.
I recommend it!

This book was super spicy! The heat level is high, but there’s still a solid amount of plot to keep things moving. The miscommunication trope (which I usually abhor) is used as a plot device here, which is pretty common in mafia romance, but it worked well enough to build tension between the leads.

The TENSION between Liv and Alessio was *chef's kiss*. Liv gives him plenty of shit throughout the book. She’s a total Brat, defiant through and through, the kind of woman who takes no shit from anyone.

I also loved the glimpses of the MCs from Book 1, "Fatal Sloth"

The opening with Liv’s childhood memory at age 10 was a great way to "cold open" the story, and the reveal near the end filled in the gaps beautifully. It also sets up the next book, "Wicked Gluttony" perfectly. My bet? We’re heading into the Don of Detroit’s story, and I’m already looking forward to Book 3.

Tropes:
Enemies to Lovers
Mafia Romance
Pierced MMC
Feisty FMC
Touch Her and D!e
Knife Play
DubCon
K!dnapping
Dark Secrets
Hidden Identity

My Ratings:
⭐⭐⭐⭐.5/5 (rounded to 5 for GR)

My ARC review

Deadly Wrath delivered everything I love in a dark romance and more. From the very first page, I was hooked; the intensity, the drama, and that electric chemistry between Alessio and Olivia had me devouring this in two days flat. Their mafia “meet-cute” was absolutely wild, and the dynamic between Alessio’s unhinged, dominant energy and Olivia’s fierce, bratty sass was perfection.

Willow Katz nailed the balance of suspense, secrets, and seriously steamy moments. The twists left me speechless, and that hate to love tension? So well done. Liv is a strong, resilient heroine who doesn’t back down, and Alessio is cocky and dangerous in all the best ways.

The instant connection between them felt real and addictive; full of banter, fire, and chemistry that leapt off the page. And the side characters? I adored Clover, Kota, and Paola. They added so much depth and made the world feel rich and alive.

If you love enemies to lovers, dark romance, and jaw dropping twists, this is an absolute must read. I’m already counting down the days for the next book!

Ive actually finished reading this book. I really was captivated by the FMC Liv. I love that the author gave us the full picture of Livs life. I like getting to know who a character is at their core so learning everything that I need to know about them really enhances my reading experience. Seeing how Livs childhood was and how she developed as she got older really made me understand why she was so darn stubborn in some ways very headstrong and darn shirt determined. I mean , this chick was willing to go up against the head of the mafia! Hello.....baddy!

Oh in the spice in this book was definitely spicing. The spice had a name and his name was Alessio. A stone cold heart wrapped up in a sexy package that is moody and broody in all the best ways.

I love a good mafia story and this one did not disappoint me at all. It had the drama and suspense that I was looking for as well as intrigue. It kept me wanting to know more and what was going to happen next. I definitely enjoyed reading this book.

Deadly Wrath is Mafia Romance with amazing Storyline, plot twist, secrets, action and spice.

Olivia Morano (Liv) is a fiesty, Sassy FMC. She is investigating commision to uncover the truth about the loss of her parents. Her search leads her to Alessandro.

Alessandro Gualtiero (Alessio) is dangerous, ruthless and the most feared Mafia Don. Alessio caught Liv digging about his business and past and kidnaps her.

Alessio and Liv has instant sizzling hot chemistry from the beginning and it gets more intense afterwards. Alessio is dominant, possessive, protactive and wants to claim her as his. He is so unhinged but he shows his tender and emotional side only to her. Liv matches his fire heads on and challenges him, pushes all his buttons and then submits to him.

I love their banter, Liv's dirty inner thoughts 🤭 about Alessio, Alessio's pleasurable punishments 🥵🫠 and steamy scenes 🔥🔥 and romantic moments ❤️ between them.

Secrets from the past reveals and enemies strike but they face the obstacles and challenges together.

Deadly Wrath in a summary!...

¹ The spice is so hot, you could cook meat on it like a BBQ 🥵

² The comedic parts are f*cking hilarious! There are odd lines just catch you off guard. I almost spat my wine out... Then my coffee the next day when continuing to read it!

³ The action! The 🩸... The vïölëncë... The törtüre 😙👌🏼

⁴ A dämn good amount of BDSM! If you love your MMC to spänk the (Bratty/Badass) FMC into submission, then tell her she's a "good girl" whilst controlling how she breathes with his 🍆... This is the book for you!!

There are my 4 top reasons to read this book! Honestly, it was gripping! The plot held its own and went well with the high spice. Thoroughly enjoyed it and hope we get more books with the other characters from it too! There's so many fantastic characters, not just the MCs.

💯 recommend it for anyone into Dark Romance, Mafia Romance or you want a heavy amount of 🌶 with your 📚

Alessio can sooooo get it!

"Deadly Wrath" by Willow Katz had me hooked from the first page! The sexual tension between Alessio and Liv....WHEW! They could set pages on fire. Their chemistry was raw, explosive, and addictively steamy—like every scene dared you to keep your cool (spoiler: I couldn’t). Their banter was sharp, sassy, and felt so authentic, it made their dynamic even more intoxicating. But this isn’t just about heat—it’s gritty and suspenseful, too. There were twists I didn’t see coming, emotional gut-punches that hit hard, and enough edge to keep me flipping pages at 4AM on my Kindle!

Willow did a stellar job balancing vulnerability with power, lust with loyalty, and danger with desire. I loved every minute of the chaos Alessio and Liv brought to the table. If you’re craving a spicy, high-stakes romance with attitude and bite, don’t sleep on this one. Seriously.

I was soooo eager to read this one that I immediately picked it up after finishing book one, Fatal Sloth. This was the fastest I’ve ever devoured a 600 page book, literally only a handful of hours…😳 Loved the crossover moment and characters from the first book. But, Alessio 😍 he and Liv 🔥 are just perfection. Definitely my favorite so far. And that boxing ring scene?!?🥵😮‍💨🫠 Willow proves again that she is the Queen of unique kink. I also really enjoyed the added mystery with this one and the suspense was never ending in the best way! However, definitely check trigger warnings because theirs some gruesome gore in this bad boy, too! 5 star Mafia Masterpiece! Can’t wait for the rest of the 7 Deadly Sins!!!

-eARC Review-

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️

The mafia trope is one of my absolute favorites so when this book was up for arc reads, I snagged right onto it. This book hit all of the marks and I wish I could reread it for the first time again.

Olivia, Liv, was a fiery wildcat and she deserved to be based on all the hell she was put through. She wasn’t this fragile little girl that everyone treated her as. She was a badass looking for answers. She just happened to attract the big bad wolf along the way.

Alessio, sweet Alessio. First off I wanna it wasn’t your fault. I need you to understand. IT WASNT YOUR FAULT. You didn’t know what was going happen. But on another note, the moments he had step into his Don role. OMG, I need someone who would defend me like he did for Liv.

This was only of my favorite reads and I definitely need more ASAP.

This was a solid, enjoyable mafia romance! 🔥

That being said… I definitely wish it had a few more unique twists. The FMC came in swinging—fierce and feisty—but somewhere along the way, that spark dimmed. She got a little too complacent for me, and honestly? I was begging for her to throw a punch or two. A little chaos, a little violence—especially aimed at the MMC—would’ve been chef’s kiss. 👊💋

But I will say: their love story was magical, and that ending? Oof, straight to the feels.

“When you and daddy play dinosaurs”—I am unwell.🦖

4.5/5 ⭐️
3.5/5 🌶️

I really enjoyed this book! It was spicy, unexpected, and have twists and turns for days. Liv was dealing with a lot and Alessio coming in and saving her on more than one occasion was just perfect. She really needed that espically has this story developed. This book is perfect for someone who loves enemies to lovers and that hate f*ck because this book had this fr fr.

The side characters like Clover, Kota and Paola were all so lovable and had a story in their own right and it was great!

The only thing was sometimes the spice espically at the beginning felt a little forced and quick especially when it came to the BD$M parts of the dynamic.

I receive an ARC from the author and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book blew me away!! I love feisty and sassy FMC's, the feistier the better. When they are a full-on brat? I'm glued & in love.

Olivia is on a mission to uncover her traumatic childhood, starting with what happened to her mom. She never expected landing a temp job to snoop company files would land her on the Mafia's radar.

Cue Alessio, the Don of a different city, taking her to keep her safe while he figures out what she is up to. They never expected to fall for one another. He is the ultimate king of edging, and he's got so many punishments in mind for this red-headed brat. Including not letting her clothing stay in one piece.

Seriously, you want to read this book!!!! Willow killed it with this one!!

I absolutely love the concept of this — 7 crime families, 7 deadly sins.

Here comes Wrath:

The tension in this will leave you screaming. I nearly threw my phone several times. Alessio is too good at what he does, and I mean everything.
Olivia's sass is exquisite and had me laughing several times. The chemistry between the two MCs jumps off the pages.
While the spice is everything you're hoping for after all that teasing, the fight scenes had me sweating too. I felt like I was watching live matches. Willow Katz's writing blew me away with this one. My favorite read this year.

The little throw-in to connect to the first book in the series was perfectly done without it feeling like a repeat or leaving you confused in case you haven't read it.

This book was beautifully spicy!
From the very beginning it hooked me. I love that I actually could not figure out the antagonist until very far in the end and then it was a face palm like it was right there how did I not see it? LOVE LOVE LOVE. The FMC is so wrong willed and relatable in so many ways , and the MMC is a well written morally grey but "touch her and you die" typical and still so wonderful ! Thank you Willow Katz I absolutely loved the writing and I will most definitely look into other books by this author <3

I received an ARC e-book of Deadly Wrath all opinions and views are MY OWN.
