I felt really lost for the first half of the book and trying to remember all the characters and what had happened in book 1, even though I read it just a couple months ago.

The writing didn't recap the first book well enough, so it took a long time for things to start coming back to me.

I did give book 1 four stars and enjoyed it, so I might do a reread later and come back to this and read it back to back while everything is fresh in my mind.

This book was an excellent follow up to Dream Walker (Realm of Dreams). Gossin’s ability to weave beautiful descriptions into her writing allows readers to clearly visualize the stunning world of the Astral Realm.

Ella and Cole grow so much in this book and Ella steps more into her power and confidence as the book progresses. The connection between the main characters: Ella, Cole, Ian, and Rhea show the strength of friendship and chosen families.

The magic explored in this book led to significant growth in the world building and made me question a lot of what will occur in the next book because some things aren’t connecting in ways that I anticipated.

Finally, the book ends on a cliffhanger that I started to see coming in the last 50 pages when the party splits and a major magical battle occurs. I’m curious to see how Ella is going to deal with this new progression of her story and quest for the elemental stones.

A great follow-up to Book 1 (Dream Walker)!

I loved Ella and Cole's growth through the story and some of the twists that took me by surprise. I love the found family dynamic between Ella and all her friends. I loved getting to see more of the Astral Realm and learn more about the magic in the world. All in all I had a fun time reading this one! The author does an amazing job with the descriptions of the world that really suck me in to the story.

Honestly, being able to predict the ending and some of the other plot twists is the only thing that kept is from being a 5 star read, but that's more a personal preference than a flaw of the book itself. It's a solid book and I would definitely recommend the series to those who love YA Fantasy. <3

My many thanks to the author for a chance to read this as an ARC! I can't wait to see what comes next in this world!

This was such a great continuation to Dream Walker. The betrayal and the drama, it was all there. Brittany once again did a fantastic job with the world building and with the angst. I loved this, and I cannot wait for the next book.

I love love love a sweet fated mates Romantasy and this did not disappoint. Protective cinnamon roll MMC by her side fighting for and with her. It was a great continuation in the series. You get to enjoy the found family as they work together to save the realm. I loved the adventure and challenges Ella and Cole faced.

🫑🫑🫑 - fade to black, non descriptive maybe door cracked open in the moment. This felt closed door because it wasn’t descriptive at all in the moment, and it more alludes to what happens.. but you know what is happening or happened.

“You have the power to change worlds, to set the realms aflame, to bring light to the darkest of places. You are the star that hope orbits around.”

The second book in the Realm of Dreams from Brittany Gossin, and I was beyond excited to delve back into this world, especially as when I read the first one I loved it and have been waiting for the second one to find out what happens next.

We pick up from where the last one ended and this time round we get to discover more of the Astral Realm and get to learn more on the world and magic as well as discover more on the characters, we follow Ella who is still reeling from betrayal from someone she trusted, is returns to the Astral Realm and discovers in her absence that 2 years have passed and war is looming over her and her family, with demons and a rot that is slowly decaying the world.

Ella has to make a choice either claim her rightful place as ruler to help heal the dying land or seek the mythical water stone to vanquish the Demon King.

I fell hard into this book again and honestly sooo many emotions were felt, that I can already feel my book hangover of this one again, just like the first book, and again screaming at the end with that cliff-hanger, and knowing I have to wait for the next book, it's hard being a reader.

I really love the world I find it different with a mixture of new magic. There is a good mixture of characters who you can't help either loving or hating (secretly liking them when you shouldn't), This series is also a low/no spice book which is a little refreshing and focus is more on the plot and characters. I highly recommend this series from Brittany, its full of magic, found family, betrayal, romance, self worth and so much more.

I've read my ARC copy of 'Dream Chaser' written by Brittany Gossin. This is a romantasy and the second book in the 'Real of Dreams' series.

"Don't lose hope."

I loved book one and well.. I loved book two just as much and maybe even more. The way the story is built is just impressive and the details are really a good addition that just make that the story has more depth. The end of this story got me like: 'nooooo really? Nooo, it can't 😭.' So I'm shocked and waiting for book three as patiently as I can.

"This will not be the last time we meet."

This story is still mainly about Ella, who wears the weight of her destiny and all she has to do for the realm, heavy on her shoulders. Accompanied by Cole, Rhea and Ian will she try to find the tools they need to vanquish the Demon king and hopefully find some allies along the way.

"Sometimes the best leaders are the people who think they aren't."

This story is about accepting your destiny, about feeling the responsibilities and tasks you need to fulfil, but not letting it drown you. The story is about love, friendship, betrayal, fear, bravery, strength and fighting for what's good, even when that means danger for your life. It's about having faith and not losing hope, even when the odds are against you.

"My heart lives inside of you."

This story is strong and the background story is just unique. The characters are really strong and once you start reading, you will not want to stop. It's an amazing read and I give it five stars.

Dream Chaser: Realm of Dreams Book 2
by Brittany Gossin

“She’d never asked for this—to be Queen. She’d never even wanted the responsibility of leading a science project in school, but here she was, expected to lead a realm and save it from demons and rot.”

Dream Chaser is book 2 in the “Realm of Dreams ” series.
It’s been a while since I read the first book Dream Walker.
At first I had a hard time remembering this storyline.
But after two chapters it all came back to me!

There’s a lot more world building in this book and a bunch of new characters and magical creatures. It was a lot to take in at first and the story flow was slow at first but the second half redeemed itself and plot does thicken !
And it sets you up for the next book!

I did miss Ella and in this book she does mature and grow more and has to face the consequences of war in the Astral Realm .

The rot (nightmares ) has spread throughout the Realm. Ella and her crew go on a quest to recover the water stone before Azvameth takes over everything in the Realm.

And Orion(the unicorn) and his sassy mind banter between him and Ella was my favorite part of this story!

And of course the beautiful world building that really immerses you in this magical world ! Brittany really does have a knack for writing really great YA cozy fantasy!

Overall … I really enjoyed this YA fantasy and looking forward to reading the next book!

Thank you to Brittany Gossin for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Dream Chaser was such a solid follow-up to Dream Walker, and I’m so glad I jumped back into this world. From the very first chapter, the stakes felt higher, the emotions deeper, and the magic even more intense.

I already loved these characters from Book 1, Dream Walker, but this sequel made me even more attached to them. Ella’s growth really stood out—she’s stronger, more confident, and facing so much more responsibility. The team dynamics are even better this time around, with Ethan, Cole, and Rhea all bringing their A-game (and yes, the grumpy unicorn is back and still a personal favorite).

The plot kept me turning pages late into the night. I loved the artifact quest setup—it gave the story momentum while also allowing for deeper character moments, tension, and reveals. The pacing was quick but never overwhelming, and the world-building continues to expand in such a fun and imaginative way.

If you enjoyed the first book or haven’t read it yet you must! you’ll definitely want to see where this story goes. Dream Chaser delivers the adventure, heart, and chaos I was hoping for!

If you’re a fan of Fourth Wing, ACOTAR, or anything involving portals and magical realms, this one’s for you.

Perfect for fans of:
✨ Dream worlds & parallel realms
✨ Strong YA heroines
✨ Found family vibes
✨ A sprinkle of romance
✨ And magical creatures with attitude

Dream Chaser is the second book in the Realm of Dreams series. It picks up with the group of friends returning to the Astral Realm to try to stop the rot and allow Ella to take her rightful place on the throne but of course they run into problems along the way. Ethan is always lurking over their shoulder and new allies and adversaries are formed. Ella and Cole’s relationship deepens while Ella steps more firmly into who she’s supposed to be.
The premise of this series is good but it’s lacking depth and world building to be the level of fantasy it wants to be. We’re more so told that a relationship exists versus watching it become. Everything feels one dimensional with too much detail in some areas and not enough in others. The characters are young and it shows in their thoughts and actions. My biggest pet peeve was the constant reiteration of who was in a group together or talking. If the story is being told well you don’t need constant reminders of who is there.
With all of that being said I did enjoy the book. The writer is new and is growing. I think her books will just continue to get better and better because the stories do hook you in. Overall it’s a solid 3.5 stars with the potential to grow in future books.

I went through the first half of this book thinking it was going to be a solid 4 star read. The storyline was good. I was entertained (if a little annoyed with Ella). I love myself some found family. It was all good.

Holy crap, did she pick up the pace in the second half of the book. I could not put this book down. There are a couple things in this book that Brittany does exceedingly well. First, she takes a common plot twist and pushes it beyond what you expect, creating new and unexpected twists that still make sense. The plot goes where you expect it to go but then it just keeps going. Second, she’s great at anticipating questions readers may have or “plot holes.” Right about the time I was questioning where Orion is, he showed up. Towards the end of the book, they had an issue and I was thinking ’why don’t they use shells?’ She answered that question on the next page. That type of attention to detail is really what pushed this book from 4 to 5 stars for me. That and the ending. I hope Brittany writes really fast because I need the next book like yesterday.

Thank you to Brittany Gossin for the ARC of this book. It was my pleasure to read and review Dream Chaser.

This book picks up right where the first one left off, which I really enjoyed. However, upon Ella and the troops’ return to the Astral Realm, they discover that two years have passed due to the time difference. In their absence, rot has spread throughout the realm, with shadows and demons destroying the land. Ethan continues to face a literal nightmare as the darkness deepens.

The world-building expands beautifully in this installment, introducing fascinating new creatures and deepening the lore. I also loved the found-family element, it was heartwarming to see the characters continue to grow and strengthen their bonds.

That said, the beginning felt a bit slow for me, but the pace definitely picked up as the story progressed. I did find myself frustrated at times by some of the characters’ decisions, though that only shows how invested I’ve become in their journeys. The book ends on a massive cliffhanger, leaving me with so many questions. I can’t wait to see where the next installment takes us.

Dream Chaser by Brittany Gossin is book 2 of the Realm of Dreams series. This picks up where book 2 ends. Ella is still reeling from the terrible betrayal she suffered and returns to the Astral Realm to discover two years have passed. Ella must claim her rightful place to save the realm.

Thank you to Brittany for giving me the opportunity to beta read this!

Ella in this book is fierce! She was more confident which I loved. She had so much growth in this book not only in her training but in her self as well. Seeing her really assume this role was spectacular.

Cole is everything. He is such a well rounded character and so good to Ella! The found family in this is so heart warming and I am so happy she has her people! There

The plot definitely thickens in this one and sets it up for the next book! I loved the expansion in this. We get more about the realm and more magical creatures and elements which is always such a good time.

I was so excited to read the sequel to Dream Walker by @brittanygossin and I was not disappointed! Between battles against demons (nightmares) in the Astral Realm, time and space travel to find a stone that could help them win, and swooning fated mates, this book was everything a YA fantasy needed!

Favorite quotes out of context:
🗡️ "Don't question my loyalty."
✨ "You are mine. My mate. We are tied together. Losing you would be like losing myself. You're the very air I breathe and the beat of my heart."
🗡️ "I'm going to dance on your ashes. Throw them into the wind until there is nothing left of you, and no one will remember your name!"

Tropes include: 🗡️ YA fantasy ✨ Mermaids and sea monsters 🗡️ Quest for the Water Stone ✨ Battles 🗡️ Time travels ✨ Portals and magic 🗡️ Swooning Fated Mates ✨ Closed Door 🗡️ Found family

Oh... my... I cannot even, this book had be on tenterhooks the entire time. I appreciated that this book was fast paced, the plot was constantly moving and readers were kept engaged - the subtle foreshadowing was spot on and Brittany Gossin still managed to throw in a few surprises. This book really showcased a layered approach to story telling, there was balance between compelling plot, strong character development, detailed world building, and emotional nuances.
After book one, all Ella needs is a break - but unfortunately the evil that is terrorizing Astral Realm are nearly back in full force. Despite Ella and her found family being pushed to the brink, Ella and Cole find time to further their relationship. While this is a closed door romance, the build up to any steamier moments was gentle and the fade to black didn't feel abrupt.
Realm of Dreams may be one of my favorites young adult series. It checks all the boxes of a well written book. I cannot wait for book three.

I absolutely devoured this! I just couldn't put it down and was so excited about the whole story. Ella and her crew has come back to Astral Realm and it's been 2 years. It's not the beautiful lands it was before, it's just shadows and death now. Azvameth has taken over everything and is not going to stop until he has every piece of land. They now know they have to get the mythical stones to defeat him, so they head off to get the water stone first. When they get there, it seems all wonderful but the king is just a manipulative ruler. He will only give out the water stone if she marries his son. But she is with Cole and doesn't know what to do. They go on the journey to get the stone and it's definitely an adventure, so many trials. Betrayal, wars, trials, adventure, manipulation, death, and a shocking ending is all part of this wonderful story. I can't wait for the next one!

What a great addition, especially for fans of epic fantasy adventures!!

Realm of Dreams Book 2) is off to a heart-pumping start with twists as Ella, Cole, and Rhea return as courageous Dream Walkers! Devoted to conquering the nightmares and restoring balance to the Astral Realm.
Bonus is the comical banter between Orion (unicorn) and Ella, who had me in fits. Ella's remarkable journey as she boldly asserts her self growth is inspiring. The connection between Cole and Ella feels authentically sweet, giving off swoon-worthy vibes.
The story's steady plotting was captivating and engaging, with the water realms and world building elements being a true standout, showcased in a remarkable way. The action, sweet romance, and found family feels -let's not forget Ella's character growth is all mixed together like a delicious cake with the writing and plotting as icing on top!

After finishing Dream Walker, I was pretty eager to dive straight into Dream Chaser and it did not disappoint.

The first book was more about Ella discovering herself and her abilities. This one was all about Ella living up to expectations and realising her responsibilities and the weight of them as a leader. It's an action packed quest full of heart, portals, magical realms, awesome BFFs, a grumpy unicorn and one kick ass FMC who grows in confidence one battle at a time. Plus a side dose of love.

The world building and the action scenes (they're so well written!) kept me turning pages, and the characters kept me invested in the story. I honestly can't wait to see what happens next after we were left on a cliffhanger!

Thank you, Brittany Gossin, for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

So, I wavered between giving this 3.5 to 4 stars. It’s a good read, but I felt frustrated with a lot of Ella’s decisions. I know this is in part due to her being a teenager thrust into this unknown world. Everyone made mistakes as a teenager.

A huge chunk of the book felt sluggish as a majority of the story took place in Tyndarus. The pacing seemed to pick up in certain parts and then slow down again, but there were just enough nuggets to keep you going.

I wish there was more done plot wise since this book focused on one task really: obtaining the Water Stone.

The second book starts exactly where the first book ended, Ella is trying to cope from the betrayal she got and as she returns to astral realm she realises two years have passed

I loved the found family trope, the charecters their bonds getting deeper

Ella is a strong female, she is fierce, she is confident and we see much of her growth in the book and Cole definitely had me swooning, they were so perfect with each other

The second part of the book was so intricaty written, once the second half started I couldn't put it down until the end

Thanks for the opportunity to read the ARC

4.5 stars 🙌🏻 Action packed! Wowza, these nightmares (demons) have started ransacking everything, everywhere! Ella, Cole and Rhea are back as deadly Dream Walkers to fight off the rot and the nightmares in the Astral Realm. I loved where this story goes- water realms are the best and this one was done spectacularly! This book was a mix of Percy Jackson, Tomb Raider and Shadowhunters. On top of all the action you get some sprinkles of love and found family blended in, and even more character growth from Ella. It’s a great mix. The writing and plotting was well done!

They are back!!!! Ella, Cole, Rhea, and Ethan they are better than ever. This book continues the story from Dream Walker.

I love in this book. How ella really seems to come into her own. She has more confidence and a strength about her what she definitely needs in the story. Her side kicks are just as amazing as they were in the first book but I found myself drawn to them even more in this story.

The step only gave the twist and turns and even a quest. This will have you turning pages just as much as the first book did. This is definitely a series you want to read.

I’m honestly loving this series, and this book truly has been my favorite of Gossin’s so far. I especially appreciated the deeper world building and the added character development. Ella’s growth in this book felt natural and compelling, watching her mature so quickly helped me connect with her on a much deeper level. Also, is it just me, or is anyone else secretly hoping she ends up with Ethan? Maybe I just have a soft spot for morally gray villains...

I really loved Dream Walker when I ARC read it last year so I was so beyond excited for this one, and it did not disappoint. I really enjoy Brittany’s writing style, it’s fast paced but still so detailed and intricate. The world building and the magic system really came together in this one, it was so fun to read about. My favourite part of this book has to be the found family though, I love these bunch of characters that would do anything for each other. The romance also played more of a part in this book, which I enjoyed. I’m so excited to see where Brittany takes Ella’s story next!

What I liked:
*The world building is developed better
*The main quest is clear, very LOR vibes
*The main romance is pure and cute

What I wished for:
- a more polished plot. At times, I was confused and thought I missed something and went back and read the previous pages. I didn't miss anything. It was unclear how certain things happened or appeared
-The main MMC is very flat and not well developed, a bit all over the place, and acts in contradicting ways sometimes

I feel like with some polishing and rewrites, this series has such great potential!

Oh, how I missed being in this world!
This was 👨‍🍳 💋
Honestly, I devoured this one.
The plot was absolutely amazing and followed on nicely from the first book.
Our FMC is growing and starting to come to terms with her role in this new world she is in.
The love interest *swoon* I can't not love him!
I adored each new trial and the tribulations our group is going through. Also, can we mention that plot twist?!? Gosh darn, that was unexpected, but looking back, I should have known better!
I can't wait to see what our friends get up to next!

I absolutely loved this book! It is a great sequel. While it brings the same magical elements I loved from the first book, it digs deeper into the realm that she has created, and we are introduced to even more magical creature/characters.

Brittany has such a creative eye for what fantasy readers want and I can’t wait to continue this epic story!

ARC Review-

I loved this book! Brittany absolutely has a way of getting you hooked in her books. This is such a perfectly done YA fantasy. There’s so much heart and tension put into this book. I love Ella and all of the battles she faces. Shes a true badass. And Cole is such a good MMC. Together, they really make the book. I also really love the found family aspect of the book! It’s one of my fav tropes and she does it so well! So good!

With the weight of destiny on her shoulders, Ella must decide: claim her rightful place, seek the mythical water stone to vanquish the Demon King, or find a way to heal the dying land.

This book was a good mix of adventure, thrill, feel good moments and of course being on the edge of your seat longing for what’s next. Ella was a little annoying at times but you find yourself absolutely rooting for her and her win. I highly enjoyed this book and hope Author Brittany gives us more, ASAP.
