After an argument with his husband, Detective Jude Byrne leaves the house to cool off. When Jude hasn’t returned after two hours, Cope begins to worry. He calls around to all of their friends and neighbors in attempt to find his missing husband, but to no avail. Jude Byrne had vanished without a trace.

Frustrated by the fight with his husband, Jude stomped out of his house intent on taking a drive to a nearby park, where he could sit in the cold and come up with a way to admit he was wrong and beg for forgiveness. He’s approached from behind and drugged into unconsciousness. Hours later, Jude wakes up locked in a cage, with a pounding headache. He has no idea where he is and has no means to escape.

When Jude still has not returned hours later, Cope calls in the cavalry to help bring his husband home. Launching a search, Jude’s Cold Case partners Detective Ronan O’Mara and Captain Kevin Fitzgibbon join with Salem’s police chief in an all-out effort to find Jude and catch the monster responsible for his abduction.

Where is Jude Byrne? Who is diabolical enough to have kidnapped him? More importantly, will he ever see his family again?

Sick of the slogging rat-race of her 9-5 job, Pandora Pine put pen to paper (literally!) to make her ambition of becoming a romance novelist a reality. She cut her teeth in the dog-eat-dog world of fanfiction, still dreaming of the day when she would be a published author. She lives in Massachusetts with her blabbermouth muse who’ s a fan of middle of the night plot twists.

In her spare time, Pandora fancies herself an amateur nature photographer. She enjoys mucking around in swamps, hiking through the woods and crawling around on her hands and knees in her backyard seeking out the perfect shot. Pandora is a fan of roadside seafood shacks and always thinks Mexican food is a good idea at the time.

Some of Pandora’s favorite things are chocolate, writing longhand with purple pens and handsome men falling in love with each other.

Don't miss Pandora’s seductive new novel coming soon to an e-reader near you.

A Bit Darker But I Loved It

I never get tired of reading about this family of cold case detectives and psychics that Pandora Pine has crafted over the years. They have gone from cocky brash young men into devoted husbands and fathers, although Ronan and Jude still act like kids at times.
It’s been a while since one of the main characters has been in such danger and in this book Jude is drugged and kidnapped, waking up in a cage in a cellar.

It was darker and more edge of seat than the recent books, more like some of the scary books near the beginning of the series, but I couldn’t put it down.

Once again six year old Everly stepped in and helped solve the case. She might not always understand the ins and outs of a case, and that’s how Ronan and Ten would prefer to keep it, but there is no doubting the amazing powers she has, surpassing her father and Cope’s powers and I look forward to her input in future cases.

If you are a fan of the Salemverse books then you should enjoy this latest addition.

intense

This latest book in this series is by far the most nerve wracking in my opinion. I should be in bed right now but I had to keep reading to see the end. Jude was acting like pre-Cope Jude at the beginning of the story. Being overwrought after an argument he takes off to go for a drive but just as he is ready to return home something happens that drives the rest of the story. I couldn’t stop reading, actually had to slow myself down because I was reading so fast to find out everything that I was afraid I was going to miss something important.

This book reminded me that I need to reread the entire interlinked series again from the beginning. I love all the characters but have to admit that little miss Everly is becoming an important part of solving these mysteries and at 6 is coming into her power more and more. Looking forward to seeing where the series go from here.

Another great read!

It's been a while since one of the main characters in our favourite Salemverse family has been so directly threatened, so the suspense of the jeopardy Jude endured made this book less light hearted than some of the previous installments have been. What never diminishes in the Cold Case Psychic and Haunted series, though, is the absolute devotion these characters have for each other - love it! And, I've been saying this for a while, but I adore Everly's development. She's maturing and becoming a more integral part of the magical element with every book. Bring on the next case!

I had all of the feelings in this book. Frustration and anger at Jude, then regret and sadness. I felt like I was sharing his emotions as he was realizing that his actions put him in his current situation. On the flip side, as a parent and spouse, I understood and felt Cope's anger, frustration and jealousy and how it spiraled out of control. Marriage is hard and this story really capitalized on that and showed all the emotions. I was a mess by the time I was done reading this. Normally we get the stories about the ghosts and how they're helping save people, and those are great and fun and I love reading them. But this one was beautiful. Well done!

Everly to the rescue!

When Jude turns up missing, it takes the Cold Case Detectives and a mighty little witch to find him.
I have grown to love the characters associated with the Haunted Souls and Cold Case Psychic series.
Pandora Pine has created a “family” of characters whose personalities and love continue to grow with each new story.
Ghosted is another roller coaster ride that kept me on edge throughout the story, and has me waiting impatiently for the next installment.

I am sitting here asking myself... was Everly the actual main character in this story? I am going with YES!!! 🥰🥰🥰

Did the guys play a part in saving the day? Of course, they did! But, did Everly make me cry and break my heart with her own "mini, but mighty" self? Yep, and that is why this was a 5-star read for me.

**********Contains Spoilers**********

Pandora has done it again. I really enjoyed this book but this time it was a bit more darker than I usually expect from a Pandora Pine book. After Jude was acting like his pre-Cope a*sehole self he leaves home to clear his head after he and Cope had a fight. He planned on spending some time at a local park to cool off before heading home to apologise to Cope for being a complete d*ck but he never gets the chance as he’s approached from behind and drugged. He wakes up in a cage with a pounding headache. When Jude still hasn’t returned home hours later Cope calls everyone to explain what happened.

With the help of Ronan, Kevin, Ten and the tiny but mighty witch Everly they help work out who abducted Jude, where they’re keeping him and how to bring him back home to his loved ones. I’m looking forward to reading more books from this universe, as well as other books from Pandora. I’m hoping that Greeley is going to be in more stories like I’ve wanted forever. He totally deserves some fantastic luck after everything he’s been through and what he’s had to overcome. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.

Following an argument with Cope, Jude takes off and ends up being kidnapped. Its up to the gang to find him in time and its Everly who comes up with the goods.
These books aren't getting old and devour each one on release day.

Such an intense read. I was enthralled with the story, couldn't quit reading until I finished the book. I am happy that Everly is becoming "more" in the latest books. Great story. Strongly recommend reading.

Not great

I think my issue with this book is that there are no ghosts and that is what I enjoy most about this series. It is a very small mystery and has all the usual fluff and sentimentality. I will still read the next one though.

I liked this one a lot. It’s relatively short, but exciting. The revelations are truly inspired. Without going into detail, the case is tied to an earlier book., but enough backstory is revealed that this book can be read without having read the other case to which it is related.

A new author for me and a different genre from my normal book. I did enjoy it and will be looking at Pandora’s back catalogue because I think I need to connect with some of the other characters mentioned in this book.

Short but sweet

This was such a cute story and I really hope Pandora Pine writes a series, just based on the kids, I would love to read about them growing into their gifts.
