Apostles: Part One

Rate this book
Part One of the serial novel, APOSTLES, from Stephen Barnard, author of 'Grievers' Wood' and 'No One Is Leaving'.

After nearly forty years as a school teacher, Harry Galbraith has retired. He’s looking forward to some peace and quiet, and believes that when he finally leaves St Matthew’s it will be for the very last time: nothing could call him back.

But then a shocking death occurs, and Harry finds himself inexorably connected, and – try as he might – he cannot extricate himself from the horrors that build, and build... and might just be of his own making.

Each month will bring a new horror, as the notion of a tranquil retirement becomes a distant memory for Harry Galbraith.

Presented in twelve parts, released sequentially through 2025, APOSTLES is Stephen Barnard’s first serial novel.

Just finished the first part of this monthly serial, and I'm so excited for what's coming! Absolutely riveting story, a supernatural mystery reminiscent of the best British TV mini-series today. Easily a winner, with perfectly drawn characters and a riddle in the middle attarctive like hell! Religious horror at its best!

Retirement

I love this idea! A monthly read to follow a newly retired teacher. Things are already going downhill. I can't wait to read more.

The first section of a 12 Part novel, this introduction pulls no punches! The characters are instantly likeable and interesting and the story gives you everything you need- although it's going to be an impatient wait for part two!
