Bachelor best friends and steamy romance . . . Welcome to Cedar Falls. The emotionally riveting, uplifting and spicy small-town series from Cissy Mecca. Perfect for fans of Lucy Score, Elise Silver and Lauren Asher.
Rule one of the Bachelor Pact is Never fall in love.
Temporarily returning home to Cedar Falls comes with mixed emotions. But having to work alongside the distractingly beautiful Pia, hired by my father before his unexpected death to run and restore my family’s inn, is a test I could do without. I don’t need help, especially from a stranger whose delectable body is inviting me to forget the most important rule of the Bachelor Pact.
I learned early on to avoid attachments, and Pia is completely off-limits. I’m technically her boss. Working together to renovate the crumbling inn, I try to shield my heart and ignore my body’s traitorous responses. But Pia's laughter fills the dusty halls, melting my defences and testing my iron-clad resolve. But as each day passes, the thought of returning to my old life as a cop in the city and leaving Pia becomes more and more difficult. Now, with my future and an age-old promise on the line, I'm left wondering if I should finally crack open the door to love I sealed so long ago.

Pia (30) & Mason (30's) Pia is looking to start over when she accepts a job at the Heritage Hill Inn. When she arrives in town she learns the man who hired her has recently passed away and his son, Mason, is in charge now and he’s not interested in honoring her contract. Pia was super sweet and I enjoyed the friendship she found with Delaney.
Mason never expected to lose his father so suddenly and step out of his NYPD shoes into new innkeeper shoes. But it’s just temporary, he’ll get the place up and running and head back to the city, easy peasy. It doesn't take him long to figure out he needs help and agrees to hire Pia. I was really loving him for the whole book, and I was hoping and praying he wouldn’t make me mad, but of course he did. He redeemed himself of course, but maybe a little too quickly.
Overall, I wasn’t really a big fan of the whole ‘bachelor pact,’ but I enjoyed the book nonetheless probably because you just know the pact will get broken when the fella comes to his senses even if it takes them a hot minute.
Series notes: The series will follow friends; Parker, Beck and Cole. I really enjoyed their camaraderie and how they have each other’s back through it all. I look forward to reading their books in the future.
Narration notes: I did not listen to this one, but am just giving the above info for reference.
H has a pact with his friends to not fall in love called the "Bachelor pact", think 30 year old frat boys kind and he ends up working with h to restore his family inn. It's insta lust, both dance around a bit before hooking up. That's it, very predictable and surface level. I didn't enjoy it.

Four guys, one small town and one bachelor pact! This small town romance set in Cedar Falls had me invested from the beginning. Pia and Mason’s chemistry was instant however due to their work commitments, Pia now works for Mason they both know they shouldn’t cross the line with their mutual attraction. I adored Mason’s friendship group the guys banter was so good and personality I can’t wait for their stories. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and would highly recommend it especially if you love a good small town romance. I received a complementary copy from Netgalley.
In real life there is no way I would find this trait attractive but in books I like my men grumpy, moody, sullen and every other adjective that means they are unbearably sexy. On the condition that for their person they are a big old softie even when they are growly.
Mason, city cop grieving the loss of his father, is one of four friends that agreed on a bachelor pact, all having different reasons for doing so but wanting the same outcome.
But as every romance reader knows there is always a woman that will come along and throw a spanner in the works. In this case it's Pia who had an agreement with his father to restore and run the family inn.
This book was damn close to perfect with its characters, plot and spice. I think I'm just probably being a little stingy and holding back the 5⭐️ for Parker and possibly Beck who had my favourite quote in this book which I will happily leave you with.
Mason returns to Cedar Falls comes with mixed emotions following his father’s unexpected death. But having to work alongside the distractingly beautiful Pia to run and restore my family’s inn, is a test he could do without. A new series & a lovely starter, the author is one of my must read authors & one of the few authors whose books I love no matter the genre. Once again she didn’t disappoint with this contemporary romance. I loved both Mason & Pia, the chemistry was sizzling & it was definitely insta-lust which deepened into something more. I was totally engrossed in their journey to a HEA. I look forward to the rest of the series & how & when the other guys break the Bachelor Pact I voluntarily read and reviewed a special copy of this book; all thoughts and opinions are my own
Just finished reading a book called, Fallen Hearts. This was about Mason, who comes home to the small town of Cedar Falls for his dad's funeral and now has to decide what to do about the family inn. Mason already has a career, he doesn't want to run an inn. Plus it needs work, it would be easier just to sell it. But then Pia shows up. She was hired by Mason's father to be manager of the inn, to help restore it, and to help get it out of debt. Mason is torn between going back to the life and career he's made for himself or now staying in Cedar Falls to run the inn which is his father's legacy. And then there's Pia. There is instant attraction between them, but nothing can happen between them because they're boss and employee. And also because of the very important Bachelor Pact he had agreed to with his best friends years ago. This story was such an enjoyable read! I absolutely flew through this book! I absolutely loved the small town vibes of this story. The friendship between Mason and his best friends was so strong, they were brothers who were truly there for each other. And then the love story, between the banter and the chemistry it felt so real and genuine, it was written so well! These characters and this town came alive in my mind, it was such a strong and enjoyable first book in this series, and I'm so excited to start book 2! 🩷📚
Enjoyable small town romance between a new inn manager and her boss who’s an innkeeper/nypd/former army ranger. Mason just unexpectedly lost his dad and is managing the inn while trying to figure out next steps. Unbeknownst to him, his dad hired Pia to come in and help the struggling inn. After getting off on the wrong foot, Mason recognizes Pia’s value at the inn and agrees to keep her on. Additionally, there was some heavy insta-lust between the two. They play the should we game most of the book given that he’s technically her boss and isn’t sure of his future. My issue with the story is the pacing. There was so much build up and wishy-washy feelings and the ending felt rushed and out of nowhere. This would be a good library read for fans of Elsie Silver and Devney Perry.
Thank you Boldwood Books for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
Pia had quit her job and taken another clear across country only to learn the man who owned Heritage Hills Inn had suddenly died. His son was now in control and looked like he had no intention of keeping it in the family. Ex-military, currently on the NYPD he lived for his job as a police officer and his freedom was paramount. He took one look at the beautiful woman in front of him and wanted nothing to with her. However, Pia had worked hard for her degree in hospitality, and even harder for years under a jerk of a boss. This was her opportunity to put her ideas, her dreams to life by placing Heritage Hills Inn at the top of listings for recreational inns. Mason wasn’t too pleased, almost certain after a bit of renovation he would sell the inn and return to New York and his job. His three college friends had even offered to help with the renovations.
Mason never wanted long term hookups or even expected to love anyone. After his mother had died, when he was young, he watched as his father spent the rest of his life loving one woman and the inn they had built together. Problem was he knew he was attracted to Pia and after working together for a short time, it wasn’t a giant leap for them to come to terms with the fact they were seriously combustible together. They agreed to comfort, cozy and cuddle together while he was there. Each agreeing to a short term relationship.
This story encompasses more than the romance between Mason and Pia. School chums, Beck, Parker and Cole all come in for their space on the pages and I loved them dearly too. Each of them had a reason for swearing off commitments to one woman, love and Heaven forbid marriage. Pia had a great family and at first had no qualms about allowing herself to be drawn into Mason, until she realized he was dead serious about never loving someone or placing a ring on a woman’s finger in marriage. The story has heart, a lot of logic that was askew, loss of a loved one, solid friendships, some soul searching, refusing to let go of long held grief, snappy dialogue, and spicy romance. I probably enjoyed this even more because I could relate to Mason’s father after the loss of his beloved wife. In my case, I found myself empathizing with Mason’s father and understanding his contentment. He’d found way to enrich his life and he was happy. He wanted that for his son.
This is the first of, I hope, stories of Mason’s college friends because I will certainly be watching for the rest of the stories. I hope you will too.
This is my first book by this author, so I didn’t really know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised.
Pia has just packed up her worldly goods and moved across America to Cedar Falls to take up a new role as the manager at Heritage Hill Inn. Luckily for her, not long after arriving she meets a wonderful lady called Delaney, who will thankfully become a great friend and confident. Little does she know how important that will be until Delaney informs her that the man who hired her has sadly passed away, leaving the Inn in the hands of his son Mason.
Mason has just lost his father. He’s come home to Cedar Falls to grieve and to make some difficult decisions, including what to do with Heritage Hill Inn. His life is in New York as a cop, not as an Inn Keeper. Thankfully, he has his three best friends by his side to help him work through this difficult time. So, when Mason encounters the feisty Pia for the first time, announcing she is the new Inn manager, which he knows nothing about, he is completely thrown and is downright rude to her, sacking her on the spot.
Mason and his three friends made a pact back in college, ‘The Bachelor Pact’. There are four simple rules, the main one being, never fall in love.
The book starts with lots of tension between the two main characters who have been thrown into the same difficult situation but from two totally different perspectives. The problem they have is from the moment they meet there is an electric charge between them that neither of them are ready for, nor want to admit.
When Mason acquiesces and hires Pia back on a temporary basis, it’s the beginning of the end. The relationship starts slowly, as coworkers. Then Pia wheedles her way into Mason’s friendship group and Mason is thrown by his jealousy at his friend’s persistent flirting with Pia. The more time the two of them spend with each other, the more the attraction it is harder to fight it until neither of them can restrain themselves any longer. From here there’s no stopping them, it’s spice, spice and even more spice.
The authors intricate descriptions of the characters personalities, their relationships and their feelings in this story is second to none. From the first chapter I couldn’t put this book down.
I’m excited to read more tales of the wonderful members of the Bachelor Pact and if any more of them will have to pay into ‘the pot’.
My sincere thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read Fallen Hearts by Cissy Mecca. I give my unbiased opinion of this book in the following review.
Mason has come back to his hometown when his father passes away unexpectedly. He doesn't know what to do with the Inn that was his father's whole life. His three best friends have come to support him. Mason and his friends have had a bachelor pact since college. They have to kick in money if they get engaged or married, but all of them are confident that marriage is not for them. Mason has taken leave from his job as an NYPD officer in order to figure out what to do with the Inn. What he doesn't know is that just before his death, his dad hired Pia to move out from Oregon to help manage and update the business for the future. She has no idea when she knocks on the door that she no longer has a job. While Mason is surprised at first, she tells him she can help and he decides to let her keep her job and if he sells, he will guarantee the new owner will keep her on for a certain period of time. Of course, she is beautiful, he is gorgeous, and they have fun bantering back and forth. Will Mason sell? Will they give in to temptation and ignore their boss/employee relationship for a romantic one?
My favorite part about this book was the friend relationship between the guys. They have each other's backs, and I loved their humor. It was easy to see where Mason and Pia were headed. This is a romance book after all. There are really no surprises in this book. It is a straightforward romance with not a super lot of character development. I am assuming that the future books in the series will be about Mason's three friends. There is a preview chapter at the end that gives a peek into the next book. I'm intrigued by that one so I will probably check it out. I recommend Fallen Hearts to anyone who is in the mood for a cute, low stress romantic read.
FYI - Open Door Scenes and a little course language.
A dual POV, small town/workplace romance that one can read within a couple hours in a single sitting. Fallen Hearts features Pia, the FMC, who moves across the country to start a new job as a hotel manager in small town Cedar Falls, only to discover the gentleman that had hired her unexpectedly passed away the week before her arrival. In his place she meets Mason, the late inn owner's son, who isn't sure if he even wants to be the new owner of his father's legacy. The story focuses on the effort Pia puts in to fitting into this new town, making new friends, and managing the inn while Mason struggles not to act on his attraction to her based on the "bachelor pact" that he created with his friends in college.
Although a cute and easy read, I do not think that this book in particular was for me. I base that solely on my personal expectations for romance books that this one did not live up to. For example, I prefer when the characters have a little more depth, and the characters in Fallen Hearts lacked the qualities that typically lead me to rate a book more than the average three stars. Even though this book seemed to be very character-focused, the main characters in particular fell flat to me. I also found the characters to be a little insta-lusty for my taste, and they didn't really get to know each other in a way that didn't revolve around that physical attraction (again, just proving that lack of emotional depth that I enjoy).
I will say that I enjoyed the author's writing style, it was easy to follow and understand, However, overall this book did not feel very memorable. I believe that with more complexity to the characters, the rest of the series could have a lot more potential.
Thank you to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.
From a bad meet-cute to office romance, this one will give you all the feels, including wanting to throw the book at Mason when he's being an idiot. Mason and Pia meet directly after he had just buried his father, a man who'd hired Pia to manage his inn without telling his NYPD son. Of course, the first thing Mason does when meeting Pia is to basically slam the door in her face. Not a good start to this new life Pia was determined to start for herself. After some soul searching, Mason changes his mind and decides to give her a chance despite how attracted he is to her, which he figures would probably be a bad idea. Especially considering the pact he'd made with his friends. Never fall in love. Never marry and all that stupid stuff guys think they need to avoid when they are dumb college kids. But these guys are hanging on to the pact like it's written into law. Eventually, Mason can no longer ignore his attraction to his new manager and the two start a steamy relationship. But uncertainty about their future hangs over their heads. Mason has a choice to make. Go back to the city where his NYPD job awaits or give up the job to stay and be an innkeeper, which also means staying with Pia and breaking the pact. The will he/won't he suspense keeps you turning pages despite wanting to shake some sense into the stubborn man. Pia is a strong character who lets him make his decision despite how much she disagrees with it. She doesn't break down and beg him to stay but allows him to figure it out for himself, always hoping he'd come back to her despite her doubts. Watching their relationship grow is truly one of the best parts about this book.

This was such a cute and cosy read. I was hooked from the very first page and I kept reading until the end as I wanted to know what happened. Fallen Hearts The Bachelor Pact #1 Cissy Mecca ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
For Mason returning home to Cedar Falls after his Dad's death brings on some mixed emotions. But finding out his father had hired a beautiful lady named Pia to run and restore the inn before he died is at the top of the mixed emotions list. He doesn't need help. He's probably going to sell it and go back to his police job anyway, but things don't quite go as he thought they would.
No attachments and of course there's the Bachelor Pact as well. But Pia's nothing but sunshine and laughter and that is sorely testing Mason's resolve. As each day passes he finds it harder and harder to think of the day when he has to return to his job and leave the inn. The Bachelor Pact is something they never should have made and he knows that now, but how does he even begin to give himself to someone else when he's so confused himself.
Cissy Mecca knows how to write in any genre she chooses. This book was absolutely amazing. From the moment I started reading it, I was lost. I don't think I came up for air until the book was done. The characters were perfect. The chemistry between Mason and Pia was off the charts. I was rooting for them the whole way. If you enjoy small town contemporary books then this book is for you. I don't normally read contemporary, but this was definitely worth it. I can tell you honestly that I'll be waiting for the next books to come out.
This book follows Mason and Pia. Pia is new to Cedar Falls, she packed up her life and moved east for a fresh start. She lands a job managing an inn, except when she gets to town, she learns the man who hired her died unexpectedly. Mason has just lost his dad and now he isn’t sure what to do. Does he sell the inn? Or does he leave his job as an NYPD police officer and become an inn keeper?
What follows is a will they won’t they push and pull. Both Pia and Mason are attracted to each other but they work together and Mason is her boss. Also, Mason isn’t sure if he is staying in town. AND Mason has a pact with his 3 best friends to stay a bachelor for life.
Mason was so frustrating through most of this book, he liked Pia and was attracted to her but he kept giving her whiplash. And he held onto the bachelor pact for too long. But he was also really sweet to Pia at times and cared about her.
I loved Pia, she’s just such sunshine compared to grumpy Mason. She quickly makes friends in her new town. She is so patient with Mason especially when he won’t make up his mind.
I loved the other members of the bachelor pact, they had such a great friendship and I really loved the found family they had. They pulled Pia into their group with open arms and I loved seeing her form a friendship with them too.
I am excited to see where this series goes and to see each bachelor fall!
I’ve been waiting for Fallen Hearts to be published for quite a while, and it doesn’t disappoint! Cissy Mecca, formally, Bella Michaels, writes a good romance, no matter what name she uses!
Mason and his friends created a marriage pact when they were in college. Now they’re in their 30s and they’re still holding each other to it! Mason returns to Cedar Falls when is father dies and finds that just before he died his dad hired someone to run the Inn. He’s unsure if he wants to stay in Cedar Falls and run it or not so he’s not eager to meet Pia.
Pia quit her previous job when she was passed over for a promotion she earned. She took the job in Cedar Falls, and when she arrives finds that her new employer has passed away. When she meets his son, Mason, he quickly makes it clear. He doesn’t want her there.
But as they start to refurbish the Inn, their attraction sizzles but Mason insists on keeping their boss/employee status and won’t move past that. And he wants to stick to the pact.
Add in Mason's college buddies and Pia’s new friends and this is a fun book to read! The author does an excellent job of building the characters quickly and keeping the reader involved. I had a hard time putting this down! I recommend you add this to your TBR now! This would be an excellent spring break read!
Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to the author, the publisher and Netgalley for allowing me to the privilege of being allowed to read this book!
I was so excited to read this book! My first experience with this author was with her fantasy book Whispers of War and Storms under her C.L. Mecca author name. I loved it! So I was extremely excited to be able to read this book under her as well! She does fantasy really well, but the real world, oh my gosh! This was perfect! I could not put this book down! I loved every character, especially all four boys when they're together! I felt so many emotions throughout this book just like her previous book I read, I was embarassing myself with the amount of times I laughed out loud or smiled well reading, I loved it! The only issues I had were a couple small spelling/missing word errors and the fact that this book is over! I need more of these characters and this world! Thank you once again for bringing me along for another amazing book ride and giving me more characters to love!
Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to read this book I loved it! P.s this would make an absolutely adorable movie or TV series!
A sweet small town romance filled with witty banter, friendships, and a college pact that will have you shaking your head. As I was turning the pages, I had a smile on my face and every once in a while I found myself laughing at the antics and banter that went between the two MC as well as the secondary characters. Ms. Mecca gives us the story of Mason, his college buddies and Pia, the woman Mason never saw coming. Pia accepted a job from Mason's father, however, when she arrives, the news of his passing takes her by surprise. She had just completely up and left her life for this job and now she is faced with an uncertainty. Mason had an instant attraction to her but fights it because not only are they employer and employee, there is also the pact that he and his friends made in college. The pact was to stay bachelors forever. The joking flirting of his friends with Pia has Mason changing his mind about everything. What I enjoyed about this story was the camaraderie of the guys but also how they all embraced Pia. I also enjoyed how the guys knew how to push Mason's button regarding Pia but is was out of the love they had for their best friend. I am looking forward to their stories in the future.
Everything about this Grumpy-Sunshine novel is intense: the attraction between Mason and Pia, the sizzle between them, and let's not forget the humor that made me laugh out loud. Just when Pia thought she was getting a fresh start in life, Mason pulled the rug out from under her feet. However, he soon discovers that Pia does not give up easily, and he cannot help but listen to her ideas. Surprised at himself, Mason is even more surprised when his best friends root for Pia and, after unleashing their charms on her, become her firm supporters. I loved the chemistry between the characters in the small town and the counsel Pia receives from a virtual stranger. Although Mason thinks his only recourse after the death of his father is to sell the family inn and go back to his old life, he does not take Pia's joy-filled charm into account and discovers that he is only living a half-life. The novel comes to a sweet conclusion, and one can only wonder what will happen to the rest of the members of the Batchelor Pact. I received a copy of this lovely romance as a gift through NetGalley, and this is my honest and voluntary review.
4 best friends made a pact never to fall in love and so we have the first in a new series, The Bachelor Pact. Mason is a big city cop in NYC, but must return home to Cedar Falls with the sudden death of his father. Mason's father ran a previously successful, but now failing inn and now Mason must figure out how to move forward. Does he stay home and manage the inn? Does he return to work as a cop? Pia is looking for a fresh start. Recently hired by Mason's father to manage the inn, she arrives to town with no idea of his passing. Pia is stubborn and won't give up on her vision despite Mason's (understandable) grumpy demeanor. There is certainly insta-like, but Mason resists due to the pact. Sparks fly despite his resistance and spice off the charts with these two, but there is always the under current of what the future holds. Will Mason sell? Will Pia have to move? Great cast of supporting characters, Mason's pact "brothers", and Pias new friends that will shine when their story comes. Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher, and author for the opportunity to read this e-arc
My first book by this author and it was a fun read!
Pia has moved to the small town of Cedar Falls for a new job managing the Inn only to find out that the owner has just passed away. She ventures to said Inn to see what she should do and the owner's son is adamant that they don't need help. After some back and forth he decides to give her a chance. They have an instant attraction but neither thinks they can go the full way since he's her boss.
I really enjoyed the chemistry between Mason and Pia. The fun banter between Pia and all of the guys had me giggling the whole time, especially Beck. The story had that small town feel of everyone welcoming Pia in and her finding her way with a fresh start somewhere new. I just had a hard time sticking this one out for some reason, I found myself not being hooked in and taking longer to finish. I can't find the exact words because I don't think the story itself was bad but I just didn't vibe overall with this one. It was a fun read in general and I would definitely recommend it but it's not one that I would go back to at a later date.
Thank you Cissy Mecca and Netgalley for the advanced copy in exchange for my honest review!
Thank you Boldwood for the ARC reader opportunity on NetGalley I got to read this book. In real time I started it 16.30 yesterday and was done by 11.30 today (annoyingly had to sleep in between)
I loved this book! Without too many spoilers, Cissy’s humour and comedic lines in the first couple of chapters in particular were great and sentences had me grinning and laughing out loud! The small town romance vibes were fully there and I absolutely loved the ‘bromance’ vibes the bachelor pact gave off. I really liked the FMC’s friendship development too. At one point I was worried the girls would like the same guy, but no, it was a lovely wholesome women supporting women friendship that I loved. I did wish the ending was a bit more drawn out as I wasn’t sure where things were headed with just over 20 pages to go, so that would be my only small critique, but was grateful for the epilogue. Overall a solid 4 star from me and having the first chapter of her next book of the series there to read was brilliant and I will absolutely be the first in line for pre release 💕

Mason has one rule: no falling in love. It’s the foundation of his Bachelor Pact with his best friends. But when he returns to Cedar Falls to settle his father’s affairs, he finds himself working alongside Pia—the stunning, spirited woman hired to restore his family’s inn. She’s off-limits… technically. But resisting her? Nearly impossible.
The chemistry between Mason and Pia is electric from the start, and as they renovate the inn together, their connection deepens into something undeniable. Mason’s bachelor life and NYPD career suddenly don’t seem as appealing when Pia is around.
Cedar Falls is the perfect setting—charming, cozy, and full of heart. Beyond the steamy romance, the found-family vibes among Mason and his friends bring warmth and laughter to the story. If you love small-town romance with sizzling chemistry, brotherhood, and a hero torn between his past and the love he never saw coming, “Fallen Hearts” is a must-read!
Thank you @meccaromance for the #gifted ebook arc. All opinions expressed are my own.
Pia is new to Cedar Falls and is looking forward to starting work at Heritage Hill Inn. Unfortunately, her new boss passes away unexpectedly and in his place is his grumpy policeman son, Mason. Despite their horrible first meet-up, she somehow ends up working for him.
Mason and his close friends share a bachelor pact—promising each other that they will never ever marry. There is a whole backstory on why the four of them chose to do so and we eventually find out Mason’s reason.
But what the heart wants, nothing can stop and soon Mason and Pia are “involved” despite their workplace relationship. If you love small town romances, you will love Cedar Falls as it sounds so lovely and quaint. I wish I could visit a place like this!
Besides the romance, I loved the found family vibes among the guys and it was also good to see Pia building up her own girl gang as she assimilates well into her new home.
This was my first read by Cissy Mecca and I'm already looking forward to my next. I have to know what happens with the rest of the Bachelor's! I really enjoyed the writing style, the plot and the characters.
A small town and four men that form a bachelor pact sounds like a good time and that's exactly what Fallen Hearts was. Mason returns to Cedar Falls to tend to his family business after his father's death, when he crosses paths with Pia, the woman hired by his father to manage the Inn right before his passing.
Their attraction is immediate and their chemistry is burning up, but there's a line they can't cross since they work together. Add in the pesky little pact Mason made with his friend group and you'd think there's no chance they'll cross the line. Oh, but they did and it was such an enjoyable time.
If you're a fan of sweet and spicy small town romance then you'll love Fallen Hearts.
This was such cute and spicy small town romance that had me hooked from the start.
Pia moves to Cedar Falls for a fresh start and to run and restore an inn called Heritage Hill. Unfortunately the man who hired her has unexpectedly died and his son isn't interested in a stranger taking over.
Mason, the now the sole owner of Heritage Hill, soon changes his mind and takes Pia on while deciding whether to stay or sell up. Along with Pia and the help of his friends, Beck, Cole and Parker the renovations start to take shape and Mason enjoys being away from his old life as a cop in the city.
However, while working on the inn the sizzling chemistry between Pia and Mason builds up, and keeping their relationship strictly professional starts to become too hot to handle 🔥
Also Mason and his buddies have a long standing bachelor pact and rule one is - never fall in love. So as the temperature rises between himself and Pia, Mason has some tough decisions to make, and decide what is most important...
I loved reading this book! It was full to the brim with friendship, banter, and good dose of spice. The characters were so loveable and it was set in an idyllic location. All the makings of my favourite kind of read.
Thank you so much @boldwoodeverafter for gifting me this copy of Fallen Hearts 💘
Fallen Hearts is the first book in The Bachelor Pact series by Cissy Mecca. The story revolves around two people, Mason and Pia, who live in a small town. When Mason returns to his hometown to take over his family’s inn, he doesn’t expect to clash with Pia, the woman hired to help restore the place. Bound by a promise to never fall in love, Mason finds himself in trouble when feelings start to spark.
I absolutely loved the connection between Mason and Pia — the chemistry was undeniable and so well developed. Their slow-burn romance kept me smiling and swooning the whole time. The character building in this book was solid too. The small-town vibes were strong — cozy, charming, and filled with warmth.
If you’re a fan of small-town romances with slow-burn chemistry, lovable friend groups, and a broody MMC who slowly falls for the sunshiney heroine — this one’s for you!
Can’t wait to see what’s next in The Bachelor Pact series!
Pia moves across the country for a job she is excited that will be the next step in her career and just a fresh start in general. When she meets her new boss things really don’t go over too well because he just lost his dad who would have been Pia’s true boss and things are up in the air still. Mason has his career, his life in another city to think about, and this pact he and his friends made in college, so when this instant attraction to Pia hits him like a freight train it’s not what he wanted nor expected. Mason and Pia go back and forth with their feelings and all the reason they shouldn’t dive in to this intense attraction, but in the end it’s too much to fight off, but when everything is said and done who will be left heartbroken and who will be left with regrets? This was a cute book and the friends dynamic made love each and everyone one of them, anticipating their books.
Fallen Hearts is Pia and Mason’s small town romance story and it’s book one in The Bachelor Pact Series set in Cedar Falls. It’s a story about friendships, love and passion and it’s all about four guys and one bachelor pact of Never Fall In Love ! Pia and Mason find themselves working together and that means lines cannot be crossed but they are finding it hard to fight the mutual attraction they share. There’s no doubting the chemistry this couple have but will they cross the line and risk friendships and more ….. I fell hard and fast for Mason, I adored the camaraderie he shares with his friends, I want Pia as my new bestie and i throughly enjoyed this captivating read. Looking forward for what’s to come from Cedar Falls.
