Annika is a reporter for MiamiImproper.com , a struggling web magazine. Damien Cage is rock star frontman for the Platinum-selling band Eon Sphinx.
When her boss sends Annika to interview Damien at his Biscayne Bay estate, she can't believe it. Now 22 and trying to find her path in life, Annika struggles to let go of her strict religious upbringing. She yearns to be sexually free, enjoying all that life has to offer.
Just turned 30, Damien is surrounded by beautiful girls. He trains them in the "Deviant Arts of Pleasure." But none of them are on his level. Disillusioned and jaded with the music industry, he has quit his band in search of something more meaningful out of life.
When Annika and Damien meet, sparks fly. The steam between them is hotter than the Florida sunshine.
Damien makes an offer to Annika. Neither realizes it yet, but it's an offer that will fill their lives with both deep meaning AND sizzling passion... starting at one of Damien's infamous Friday night parties full of decadence and debauchery.

This is the first title in a series. There IS a cliffhanger ending. You have now been warned about that too.

Indecent started off so great! The first chapter is ridiculous and humorous, I thought I would love Annika. I mean seriously, anyone so damn horny that they'll pull a dildo out while stuck in traffic...my kind of girl! ;)
That was really where the fun ended though.
Based on the synopsis, Damien and Annika meet and "sparks fly". Hmmm, no. They really didn't. For me, sparks flying means sexual tension so thick you can hardly breathe. It means butterflies that you feel from your throat to your hooha. I felt none of those things. It was a normal, everyday, casual meeting between a chick and a supposedly hot guy. Though no details given about him made him exceptionally panty melting. In fact, he kind of seemed like a douche. He's got a pool full of girls for his entertainment and a PR assistant he isn't all that nice to.
Add to it...he likes Nickleback. Sorry, deal breaker for me. I get it...I know they have fans, you may be one and I apologize for saying this in advance but...I've never met a hot as sin Nickleback fan that I want to fuck on the spot.
Anywho...
I could get past the pool full of girls and even the not so polite behavior to his PR person, he's a rock star after all. But there just wasn't any real pull towards him for me.
Until the conversation got a little mysterious and then a little kinky. He invites Annika to one of his exclusive parties, which she has some basic knowledge of and the "rule" that applies to all invited guests. This is where Damien began to intrigue me a little.
But only just a little and right as I was beginning to wonder about him, the book is over. It ends. Not with a cliffhanger so much as just an open ending.
It's a serial, I didn't go into expecting a whole lot of drama to ensue in just under 100 pages. I did expect a bit more though. There were some outside details that maybe could have been cut out to leave room for a little more of an established plot between the two main characters. Perhaps that would have left me feeling more like I could not wait for the next episode. (Did anyone else just hear Dr. Dre?)
Then again, maybe not...since, you know, Nickleback. This one maybe isn't for me, even though Annika sure seems like a bundle of fun.

The description sounded awesome...it was free...so of course I had to give it a try. It started off with a bang and funny as hell...who wouldn't find it hilarious when someone decides to try out their brand new playtoy in their car...in traffic...and then gets pulled over by a cop with said playtoy still in use. AND of course when we meet the infamous Damien Cage it starts to get really interesting and our heroine reporter Annika finds out she may just be in way over her head. He is a sexy and way over the top (in sexual preferences) and with an overly religious mother at home pounding her beliefs into Annika's head...what's a sexually frustrated girl to do?
I wouldn't have had an issue with this book at all, as it was quite entertaining, but I am really starting to despise serials...you get a free sample and then have to buy so many more novellas to get a full book and by the time you do that you've paid way more than most novels cost. There was not enough to this first part and it ends mid-scene at the first party she goes to...not sure I will continue on with this series.

Naughty, But Fun!
This was a fun and naughty, in a good way, ride. Lots of fun to be had in this book, characters with smart mouths, misbehaving and in sexual overdrive. If this sounds like your kind of fun, as it is mine, then dive in and enjoy. To be honest it was the authors 'Reader Be Warned' note that made me want to read this, LOL. Can't wait to read more about Damien Cage and Annika.

It was pretty short, but had some funny parts. It felt more like the first half of a book, it ended in a weird place for me.

I received this book via Netgalley for an honest review.
Rating and reviewing this first installment in the serial is difficult for me because I hate being negative, but I really didn’t like this book.
While I can see the intent of the author and even have my curiosity picked about a few things regarding Damien, the male interest in this story, I’m still not hooked enough to think about reading the next few episodes. I’m really sorry.
While the fast pace of this story is entertaining, the depth of the characters is completely lacking. Some characters if not all are too much and even feel like a caricature, the characterization is not polished to help me like the main character or even the secondary ones.
The beginning of this first installment is a little confusing because there’s a scene that actually happens later on in the story, but we read it at the beginning, in the first chapter. It turned me off immediately to be honest. It’s a trick some authors use to hook readers, but it never works on me.
Also, the female lead character is ridiculous at times. I get it it’s supposed to be a gritty, dark, angsty and raw erotica serial, but still. Too much is too much and the silliness I often perceived killed the purpose of the story and atmosphere. At least, for me.
I enjoy reading raw erotica stories from time to time, but I still need a good build up between the main characters, need real characterization and here I don’t find it. you’re going to say that it’s a serial which means that each episode is pretty short and that’s true, but to base your story on you need a good feel of the main character, someone you like following, not someone who makes you laugh at her because it’s ridiculous, someone you can understand on some level instead of just criticizing in your head.
I was expecting something else, something more character centered to better enjoy the female lead character’s journey in her sex life rather than weird inner dialogue and overuse of words referring to arousal.
I know I’m rather harsh, but it’s been a while since I’ve last been disappointed to this extent. If you’re into erotica stories like this one, you may enjoy it, if you’re looking for a little more than just raw erotica, then I don’t think this serial is for you.

Indecent (Book #1 in the Cage Sessions) by Skylar Cross is a naughty mix of humour and fun. I don't like short, novellas/novelettes as I like more and believe me when I finished Indecent I definitely wanted more. This book is by no means serious and I think for some may be slightly offensive, however it appealed to my sense of humour.
Annika is a really interesting character. She's down to earth, has a high sex drive (Just look at the opening scenes in the car which I won't spoil for you but left me wondering, 'I wonder if anyone has ever done that before?' and had me literally laughing out load!) and is a fun character to read about. I loved her boss, friend and even her mum. I think I'd been reading way too many serious books lately as it was fun to read about someone so naughty in honesty.
When we get to the interview with the gorgeous, hot and seriously bad Damien you can already see where this book is heading. This isn't a surprises book I don't think, you are expecting things and they do happen (Although some of the characters are a little bit 'unexpected' - Damien's assistant for one - but original!).
I loved the sexual chemistry with Annika and Damien, you literally could feel it (Almost taste it) and its definitely made me want to read more of the series to see where the adventure takes us.
I gave Indecent 3 stars, was more of a 3.5 and I did enjoy it. I literally read this in an hour though, maybe less and I like a little more when reading. I will however be reading the other books shortly as they are on my 'to buy' list on kindle, so look out for the reviews.

This is only a novella length story, it's starts off rude and progresses to talking about anal fisting lol so let's be honest it's not gonna be for everyone.
I'm not entirely sure what this series actually is, if it's purely erotica then it hits the nail on the head, but if this is supposed to be erotic romance then I feel like I missed the romance part.
I feel like there was some sort of weird connection between Annika and Damien but personally I feel like it's a sexual one above all else.
This is only part one in a series but although none of the content of this book offended me, it also didn't get me hot and bothered.
Don't think this series is for me but I give it 3 worth a shot stars.

Annika is a little over the top with her horny moments which lead to some pretty funny stuff. I wouldn't say she had a totally crappy upbringing, but there are defiantly issues that cause her problems in her adult life. Damien is a hot famous rock star that is turning over a new leaf. He decides he wants Annika to help him. He is known for these wild and crazy parties which he invites Annika and just has things start to heat up the story ends.
Something about Annika that I don't fully fall in love with but I am intrigued enough about Damien and his parties to continue on with the story.

meh !just when I was really getting into it, the book ended, then I remembered it was a novella and I'm not usually a fan of serial novella books for that reason, pace too fast, really wanted to have some kind of connection with one of the characters, at least Damien Cage is a hottie. Annika really annoyed me, which seems to be a pattern for the 'heroines' of novels all round at the moment. Think I'd have much rather have got the complete set in one volume.

After reading, Tattered Angel, I couldn't wait to read the rest of the series. Skylar Cross did an amazing job drawing his readers in. Great ending!!!!
I just dislike novellas in general, but I love Sklar Cross!!!! I don't mind her novellas when there is a sequel and I don't have to wait to continue a story ;) the ending of this book is UH-MAYYYY-ZINGGGGGGGG!!!!!!! I can't wait to read book 2!

I really like this book. Im looking forward to reading the next and finding out what happens!! I like that the character isn't afraid of her inner sexual beast yet wonders what is wrong with her. She is dirty and fun, I giggled through a lot of this book. Well worth the time!!

I loved this short novella. The main female lead is funny and I like how the reader can tell that she has inner inhibitions. Im intrigued by the male character. I loved the short novella
