From New York Times and USAToday bestselling Texas romance author Jean Brashear, three emotional romances, stories of the sexy, gorgeous Marshall brothers—one deeply private, one world-famous—and their equally captivating bad boy cousin, each in his own way, a woman's dream lover…
Texas
Still haunted by failing to save his sister, the last thing former homicide detective Quinn Marshall wants is another woman to watch over when his brother asks him to help a friend. Soap opera star Lorie Chandler has already lost her husband to an obsessed fan, and now her son is the madman’s new target.
While the police hunt the killer, Quinn's rugged Texas ranch is the ideal hiding place for Lorie and her child. Neither Quinn nor Lorie expects the explosive heat or the powerful emotion that flares to life in his canyon refuge, yet there is no future for them and both are painfully aware that their time together can only be temporary. When the madman finds them, Quinn's sole focus is on keeping Lorie and the boy he's come to love safe, even though his success will mean that he will have to give them up to a life where he cannot belong.
Texas
Sexiest Man Alive Josh Marshall is on his way home to Texas when he rescues a woman on the run. In contrast to the many women crushing on him all over the world, this woman does not trust him and wants nothing to do with him, seeking to escape every time his back is turned.
Elena Navarro is running from an abusive husband with criminal ties. Terrified to trust anyone, she finds Josh's tender care a miracle, but his fame could be a death sentence for them both. When echoes of a shared past life threaten, Josh questions his sanity, but he's a white knight to the core and cannot stop trying to help her, even at the risk of his life.
Texas
Texas rancher Case Marshall is driving a truck instead of his hell-raiser Harley after a crooked partner nearly bankrupts his Flying M Ranch. New Orleans socialite Samantha St. Claire never dreamed she'd be on the run from the mob--or that she'd find her white knight at a truck stop. Their worlds couldn't be less compatible or their attraction more high-octane…but there are dangers and shocking secrets to battle before they can dream of a future together.
All the Marshalls also appear in the Texas The Gallaghers of Sweetgrass Springs series.

A letter to Rod Stewart resulting in a Cinderella birthday for her daughter sowed the seeds of New York Times and USAToday bestselling author Jean Brashear's writing career. A lifelong avid reader, at the age of forty-five with no experience and no training, she decided to see if she could write a book. It was a wild leap that turned her whole life upside down, but she would tell you that though she's never been more terrified, she's never felt more exhilarated or more alive. She's an ardent proponent of not putting off your dreams until that elusive 'someday'—take that leap now.
Over fifty published novels later, the five-time RITA finalist and RTBookReviews Career Achievement Award winner has accumulated a whole passel of war stories to swap and loves nothing better than talking writing and books with readers and fellow writers.
And she'd still take that leap, war wounds and all.
Fairly typical collection of three books/stories. Each connected to the others. Each had an overly handsome and imposing hero, a beautiful woman in great need, characters unsure they were good enough for the other, falling in love anyway, steamy sex, a pounding climax and a good ending. Good enough to keep reading but only an average read.

Texas Refuge Review Jean Brashear grabbed my attention in the prologue and kept to the epilogue. There was suspense, angst and . In my opinion you are thrown into terror from the get go. It does take quite a while to get to Quinn's troubles. I liked Quinn and his loyalty to his brother. I liked how he is with Grant. Lorie in my opinion makes some questionable decisions, but I appreciate her trying not to live in fear, but we see she is not perfect and she is human. I loved how she is with Grant, I found her to be a good mom. I found myself a little teary eyed at the end. In my opinion The Marshalls Series is starting out better than the Morning Star Series.
Texas Star Review I liked Texas Star and the suspense. In my opinion Jean Brashear did a good job with it. I liked Josh and Elena together. I loved that Elena wanted to protect Josh and his family and she made the decision to enter the belly of the beast. I loved how Josh's protective side for Elena and his family. The one thing I did not like was the repetition of how Elena and Josh were not good enough for each other, it was very annoying. The dreams Elena had got a little annoying and made the Texas too long. I enjoyed the action, especially at the end. Overall I enjoyed and was entertained.
Texas Danger Review I liked Texas Star and the suspense. In my opinion Jean Brashear did a good job with it. I liked Josh and Elena together. Each of The Marshalls Series made me a little teary eyed.
So enjoyed this box set. Narration was awesome. Loved all the characters that brought this series together.
Quinn and Lorie’s story was so dear to my heart in the way Quinn is so attuned to himself and the universe. The drama in the story kept you guessing at what was happening next and kept me reading/listening to the last page, hunger to get on to the next in the series.
Josh and Elena’s story starts out a bit funny in the way that she keeps running from him. But he means to keep his woman. Loved this one as well as it introduced past lives and soul mates, also dear to my heart. Again couldn’t wait to get to the end and start the next book.
Case and Sammie’s story was a great read also. Having powerful people after you is a good reason to say nothing and hide. But the strong characters in this book were more powerful. Sammie in the end ready to face her past to move forward.
The characters are realistic and skillfully drawn in these books. You empathize with the women who are in danger and thrill to watch them fighting back against evil. Each of the women have a soul mate who is a Marshall man, who would give his life to save the one he loves. There is also a mystical connection that teases you to believe that love is real and is woven through time. Love is of greater value than money and possessions and family makes life worth living.
I absolutely love a great cowboy romance & this collection sure hit the spot. Can you pick a favourite couple or will you be like me & love them all. I highly recommend giving this collection a read.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Two brothers and a cousin each get a story about rescuing and saving their future wives. Each man is handsome, has unique character and is very loving.
Wow! I loved the first part of the Texas Heroes series and the Marshalls are the second set of books in that series. They are stand alone from the first Texas Heroes but the are just so amazing. The first book is about Quinn the oldest brother who has visions and he is asked by his younger brother to help him with a friend who has a stalker. Lorrie is a famous soap star who lost her husband and her son and her are now being stalked by someone. Quinn and Lorrie have this connection from the beginning and the action happens so early on in the book I was surprised, Quinn is the best hero ever in how he takes care of Lorrie after something traumatic happens. You seriously fall in love with these two and want to read more about them, The second book is about Josh, the younger brother who is a famous movie star now. I love how this book starts off a few years later and you get to see how Quinn and Lorrie are and their growing family. Josh is so much more than the pretty face movie star and Elena is so sweet. I love the relationship between Josh and Elena and also the relationships of all the family members. The third book is very suspensful and you can't put the book down. Its about Case the cousin of Quinn and Josh who ends up helping a stranded women who is running from the mob. Great books with suspense and great romance. I want to read more about all of these couples!
3 stories about women who discover what's important
Each of these 3 novels deals with women who have left privileged lives and security for independence and ultimately love. Each of the 3 books in this trilogy is about a woman being pursued by someone who wants to control her. As they are presented with men who just want to protect them and let them become their own person, each of these 3 women finds what is really important. During the course of each story, both the man and woman comes to accept and encourage their mate-to-be.
All three books in this series are pretty good. The second book resonated with me the most because I am very familiar with all of the New Mexico scenes. I live north of Deming, used to live in Silver City, so am very familiar with the Cliff Dwellings. I lived in Alamogordo when I was young and hung out at White Sands all the time. Well, I digress. The heroines in all three books are gutsy, smart, sexy and on the run. The heroes are hunks. Highly recommend.
Handsome Alpha males who want nothing more than to rescue their damsels in distress is always a fun way to spend the time. Each damsel has been violated and is struggling but can peace in the arms of her Texas hero. A tad more sex than I care for though.
