Doctors to Daddies The biggest role of their lives…
Can she be able to give him a second chance in loving her and her baby? Will he be able to woo her into loving him again but most importantly trusting in him again?
Sasha Wilson and Grady O’Neil had a love history but something happened in his life and he needed to let go of Sasha. I totally know that was his first mistake he should have let her think for herself, let her make the decision but oh well he learned the hard way. All he was doing was thinking about her future because they both knew what they wanted to be. He was going to be a doctor and she was going to be a loving nurse. Only things didn’t plan out for both of them he needed to take care of his family and he needed to leave her behind.
Now a little more than a decade later they are united by fate he was back in town because he was going to sell his parents vacation home. Sasha was back because her mother was ill. One wintery night she was helping out some family friends that had been in a bad accident and he just happened to be at the right place at the right time. From that moment forward it seemed that fate was going to have them in the same town, in the same clinic and working together. From the moment that he hugged Sasha he was able to feel her baby bump and the green-eyed monster was wanting out. Only he had no claim on her he had to remember that he left her she had all right to move one. Sasha could not believe her eyes he was here in her town and he had his arms wrapped around her. That is just the beginning of this wonderful journey of two people that belong together and little “flipper” was going to be brought into the world with a mother and father if Sasha could only trust Grady with her heart.
A Father for Her Baby was a great, wonderful read. I loved how the author was able to let me know how both the characters were feeling. I love how he was trying to win her but she was a stubborn woman. Sasha was a strong woman that was going through so much, her mom was ill, she was uprooting her life and now here she was having a baby she was going to be a single mother. Grady was a good man that had a huge heart and wanted to be a father to Sasha’s baby. The chemistry between them was intense but they were fighting it with everything they had. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. MacKay and I know that this will not be my last. This is a smooth easy flowing story that I know that I will remember that second chances are possible.

A Father for Her Baby is in the Doctors to Daddies series and was written by Sue MacKay. It is a medical romance. Sasha Wilson is a temporary nurse in Golden Bay. She hopes it will become a permanent job. She has returned home to Golden Bay to have her baby and to be close to her Mother who has MS. If all goes well, she and Karen, the nurse who is out on maternity leave, will share the job so both can be there for their babies. She is thrilled by her baby even though the father is not in the picture at all. Just when she thinks all is going well, Grady O’Neil shows up. He broke her heart when she was eighteen and now she has to deal with him again. Grady O’Neil had spent summers in Golden Bay with his family. The last summer he was there, he met Sasha and fell in love with her. However, it was not to be. His father died and he had to return home to take care of his mother and sisters which meant leaving Sasha and foregoing medical school for a while. Not knowing what else to do, he told Sasha he didn’t love her enough to marry her and left her with a broken heart. His heart was not intact either. Now he has returned to Golden Bay to get the family summer home ready to sell. Not knowing Sasha has moved back, he is surprised by the intensity of his emotions. Now to convince Sasha he is serious and he really does love her. Will Sasha give into her feelings for Grady or will she reject him again? Will Flipper’s, Sasha’s name for her baby, father re-enter the picture? Will the MS move quickly through her Mom’s body?
Sarah is back to her hometown to take care of her mother and she is pregnant too. The father of her baby is no longer in the picture. She didn’t know that Grady O’Neil is back in town and is working as a doctor in the medical centre as she is. They had a relationship before but was broken when he broke it off. When she was involved in an accident and Glady comes to her rescue, fate seems to place her together with him wherever she was. Glady make no secret that he wants a second chance with her but she is worried not only for herself but her unborn baby should she decided to let him come back into her life.
This is a wonderful read for me and the story plot is one of my favourite. It flow easily and I get to see the changes in the relationship between the main characters. I like both Sarah and Grady. There are strong chemistry between them but Sarah is fighting it and I love the fact that Grady never give up and tried again and again to get Sarah to love him back. ;)
I can't remember the last time I read a book of this length in one sitting, but I could not put this one down! Some twists that I didn't expect along with others that definitely fitted the story. Looking forward to the story of Sasha's friend Jessica and Sasha's brother Jackson.
