I enjoyed this book far more than I expected! I’m a sucker for a second chance at the love trope. Plus, the possibility of a groveling hero makes me giddy. And guess what? This one delivered on the groveling and then some. From the start, the characters were engaging, and I found myself caring right away about them and where things were going. It was full of raw emotion and left me with a smile on my face.

Marco is so different from most heroes you'd met in books these days. Yes, he's sexy as sin. But what sets him aside? He's such a nice guy. He's not a playboy asshole. He has all the best qualities – a combination of sexy, sweet, charming, swoony, and fun. Becca was such an amazing heroine; she was strong yet a little broken simultaneously; she wasn’t mousy, shy, or some wallflower. I think that’s what ultimately made this book for me, the fact that both characters had such a great balance of realness to them. I got this line from Marco's mom to best describe her:
"She's a shining example of strength and grace, someone who's lived through hard times and come out the other side to help others who fall into the same traps."
I'm rooting for both Marco and Becca! Their relationship is heartwarming on so many levels! It was deep, passionate, and complicated as hell. Even she wanted to hate him, and she couldn’t. But she sure as hell gave him a good cold shoulder. And he fought her tooth and nail! I liked how respectful Marco was to Becca's wishes despite how much he wants her. She was his breath of fresh air. I also enjoyed the easy camaraderie between Marco and Ethan and them calling each other Zorro and Clavo.

I also loved the fact that his parents, despite being Royals, weren't a snob. They accepted Becca for who she was. I loved the first meeting between Marco's parents and Becca. They were so accepting and made her feel welcomed.

Overall, The Soldier Prince (200 Harley Street) , was such a great read! Strong characters, swoon-worthy romance, and a compelling story made this book a serious winner for me.

And that epilogue?

It was everything I wanted it to be.

Here is another story of a prince who does not share his secret with the one he loves. Becca knew Seb when she worked in Africa. After a night of passion he disappears. Now years later she see's him at the clinic where she works but now he goes by Prince Marco. She loved Seb but did not know this man now. He is an injured soldier who needs her help to get better. He also wants her back. But will her past come between them? She does not have the right background to become involved with a prince. I have read several Kate Hardy books. This is another that I will reread later.

Life as a soldier for Marco is as tough as it get's , he has to protect his unit and being a Prince certainly does not make it easy. But with luck the press keeps him and his unit out of the spotlight. Then it all goes wrong when the unit is ambushed and Marco sustains an injury to his hand.

He is flown back to London for treatment, upon arriving he discovers his physical therapist is none other than Becca Anderson, the woman he shared a magical, forbidden summer with long ago.

Becca is more than shaken by the royal surprise not only does she know Marco as " Seb" but she also never knew him to be a prince! Becca and Marco are clearly meant to be together or fate would not have brought him back to her, but Becca has secrets and they are certainly not the kind the Royal family will want splashed all over the tabloids. And therefore she has to resist his charm no matter what. But resisting her heroic soldier prince will be much harder than she thinks.

This was a really nice, feel good romance read. I loved Marco, never mind the fact that he is a Prince, it was his entire attitude that had me hanging onto his every word. Charming, sophisticated and a true hero in every sense of the word. I loved his fight till the very end spirit, it made him a serious sexy soldier!

And Becca, ah poor Becca my heart broke for her when the secrets are revealed and the press literally called her every single bad name in the book of disgrace. But even though she felt down, heartbroken and in need of some serious tender loving care, she still held her head high and tried to take it all in the best way she knew how.

The ending of this read is what really got to me, it was one of those " Ah could not be more perfect ending" kinds and I for the third time during this read found myself reaching for the Kleenex.

I am taking away a message of life has a way of knocking us down, us being able to pull ourselves back up and think that it will be the end of it. But of course no past ever goes away until it is well and truly faced up to.

So instead of sitting around waiting for your past to come back and knock you down, face up to it with every ounce of the necessary come backs and then walk away with your head held high, after doing this you will never be worried about the past showing up when you definitely don't need it to.

I recommend this read for all fans of romances that love sexy soldiers, charming princes, feisty secretive heroines and a journey of love shining brighter than the brightest diamond.

The Soldier Prince is a medical romance by Kate Hardy. It is part of the 200 Harley Street series. It is a very quick read and is very believable.
Prince Marco is a soldier in Afghanistan. The press has been very good about not talking about him and where he is to protect his unit. Now his unit is in danger. Marco and his men had gone out to rescue some of his men and were ambushed by the insurgents. The lead jeep ran over a bomb and was destroyed immediately. Marco, who was driving the second jeep, put up his hand to shield his eyes and then lost control of the jeep and rolled it. With his left wrist injured, he managed to pull his men out of the jeep and get them to safety. They were then rescued before anything else could happen. The tendons in his wrist were cut and he had to be flown to London to the Hunter Clinic for immediate surgery or he could lose all movement in his hand. Marco wants nothing but to help his men clean up and to talk to the families of the men who didn’t make it. However, he understands the necessity of moving quickly on his hand so agrees to go to London.
When he arrives, he is reluctantly greeted by Ethan Hunter who is to be his surgeon. Ethan dislikes royalty who demand to be treated differently. He is pleasantly surprised by Marco and they might even become friends. His physiotherapist is Becca Anderson. They are both shaken when introduced as they knew each other years ago as young people helping in South Africa at a children’s camp. After falling in love with “Seb”, Becca was heartbroken when he suddenly left, not knowing he would return looking for her. She decided at that point to give up men and make getting her education a priority. Now she comes face to face with Prince Marco and realizes he is “Seb”.
What will happen next with Becca and Marco? What will happen with his hand? What will happen when he finds out the secret Becca is keeping?

I won the four (2-in-1) paperback books from Lynne Marshall giveaway. Thank you so much.

When things go wrong, things happen that this person has no control over. What road will this person choose?

What a wonderful story. Deeply meaningful, good character interaction, well-written, fast read. The redemptive spirit of the human soul shines through. ***Recommend***
