Calla writes a variety of genres from sci-fi, fantasy, paranormal, to contemporary romance novels. I have read a few of her books and each one is totally different to the others. This book is a Sci Fi story and the visuals she brings in her writing transports you to another place. I really enjoyed this book.
There is drama and suspense, danger, steamy scenes and romance. The world is well-crafted is engaging and entertaining with fully developed and endearing characters.

This is a very well written alien romance book. The characters are fantastic, Nina is a feisty female who loves yoga and trying new hobbies. She’s been hurt in the past and is very wary of men, until she meets Zeycott. Zeycott has a body to die for, has an amusing and loving personality and is head over heels for Nina and has been since he first saw her. The world building and storyline are equally as good with the storyline following on from the last book. There’s action, danger, a chronic illness, passion, desire, steamy scenes and much more in this story and you don’t want to miss reading it.

Nina has been hurt by her ex and she wants to focus on healing but can’t seem to take her mind off of Zeycott. When she sees an orange mist after seeing him she wonders if it’s his and if it is are they fated mates. She goes to get a tattoo and he’s there, she’s surprised to find he’s the owner. He tells her he will tattoo her and they end up talking instead. He asks to see her the following day and they end up spending lots of time together. When there’s an attack by the enemy, Zeycott throws himself in front of Nina and ends up with a broken leg. It’s only when he’s healing at Grandma Ova’s house that Nina finds out he has an illness that could very well kill him. Nina sees the spirit of his mum in the mist and she tells her that being near Nina is actually healing him but there is a cure in an ancient text, one that they must find together. Without it nobody knows what might happen. If that isn’t enough, the Ulkrins are attacking and Zeycott and his brothers need to find a way to get rid of them for good.

I had a hard time with this one. The overall plot was interesting and it went well with the general arc that is developing through the books. I have to admit that while I have read the first three books but I missed the last couple. It was easy enough to follow though. There were a few random consistency issues. For example, while at breakfast they decide its a nice night for a walk. Nothing too bad, just things that stuck in my head.

My problem was Nina. She was very repetitive and I didn't like being in her head. I think maybe if I liked or knew yoga better it wouldn't have been so bad. But her personality was abuse survivor and doer of yoga.

She was constantly doing circles about her ex. And what he did and how she felt and what he did and how she reacted and how he treated her. With nothing new or different which yes might be a bit realistic but is boring as heck to read.

Other than that it is all about the yoga. Long lists of different styles and poses. And details of her doing it. And she talks about how adventurous she is. But she has one small adventure at the beginning. And then the one she is so amped up for is....yoga. But a different kind so totally fun, I guess.

There was some interesting outside action and movement in the series story arc. But I just didn't connect with these mains to fully appreciate the book.

“What I need is something I shouldn’t have.”

This book is six in a series. I haven’t read any others. While I picked up on the basics of what’s going on the reality is since there’s an ongoing battle with the Ulkrins, I was very aware I was missing a lot. I’m not saying don’t read this book, but I would read the others first.

I liked this book, even if I was a bit lost. Zeycott was an interesting hero and although I wasn’t as crazy about Nina. I think their relationship developed way too fast, but otherwise I thought they were a good couple. I wish there had been more build up and concern regarding his illness, but that’s just me.

I will probably read some of the earlier books and obviously Isabella, the final sister, has to find her star-mate, but what I’m most interested in is the possibilities that I see with Commander Kruegen and Amelia. If something does develop there it might prove to be the best book in the series.

I received a copy of this from the author.

Six sisters are rescued from aliens who are trying to kidnap humans from Earth by green men from another planet. Really? How could this possibly make for a good story? Believe me when I say that it definitely does.

This is the story of Nina, one of the sisters, and how she falls for a star being. They don’t like being called aliens as they are not aliens on their own planet, rather it’s the humans who are the aliens on Celeron.

As with most love stories it is not a case of love at first sight and all happily ever after. When Nina sees Zeycott he is scowling at her, but she is still attracted to him.

Calla Zae writes a story that is captivating in that she describes the scenery and characters clearly enough to have you imagine them easily.

The problem comes when you finish reading the story and discover that you want to keep reading and know more.

Bring on the next book in the series.

This was an enjoyable story with likable characters in a fated mate romance alien theme. Nina Nelson a human yoga instructor made some yoga videos that's gone viral among the star-beings. Recovering, after being abducted, she is now living on the planet Celeron. Browsing the marketplace in the village, Jenn is exploring her creative side by taking a sculpting class and sculpts Zeycott the soldier that helped her and her sister. Hearing voices Zeycott appears with a group of soldiers. Grimacing at her, he approaches her. Zeycott has a tattoo shop at the marketplace. Thinking that Zencott doesn't like her but unable to stop thinking about him, she makes an appointment. Is this Jenn chance to change Zeycott mind when she sees the mating mist? I binge-read the series just to be able to review this book! Loved the whole series. This book was the best of them all. Nina and Zeycott were so sweet! Nina is the 2nd to last sister in this series.. You definitely will want to read the books in order to best follow along. There is an ongoing war between the people from the part of the planet the girls live on and another race on the planet. And that storyline may confuse you a bit if you haven't read the rest of the books. Nina is a yoga instructor from Earth, making a living with her craft on her new planet. Zeycott is a member of a group of elite soldiers for the planet, who also owns a tattoo shop on the side. They had interest in each other without the other knowing. He held off for reasons you will find out when you read the book. (no spoilers here lol) and once they are in each others spaces, the sparks fly and he can't stay away. Great world building too!

Nina and her sisters were taken aboard an alien ship, destined for a life of breeding. They were rescued by Zeycott and others from Saedo. One by one they are finding love and Nina and Zeycott are finding it addictive. Loved the characters, their determination, banter and revelations. The storyline brings up many new details and changes that are happening. Plenty of drama, secrets, steam, blessiums, the Love Spectrum stories and much more. Her yoga is really taking an interesting and imaginative twist. The ending was terrific.

This book was well written but it wasn't really for me. For one, there was way too much fairytale like magic things going on that it didn't really feel like an alien romance to me. Also I got bored a lot, because the story seemed to flow to slow. I am not into yoga so the endless talk about it annoyed me a little. I haven't read the other books in this series, but I don't think I want to read them.

Conclusion:

Well written but not my cup of tea. I was glad when it was over.

Nina and some others were abducted from Earth, but she seems to be settling down on her new planet, and she enjoying been a yoga instructor. The only thing that could make it better, is she could talk to Zeycott and gain his attention. Will Nina be up for the challenge of helping Zeycott find a cure for his rare illness? Are Nina and Zeycott meant to be? I enjoyed the challenges these two faced, the danger, mystery and the interesting mysteries of the planet they live on.

Nina and Zeycott . . .

This story focuses on Nina Nelson, a human yoga instructor, and Zeycott, an elite soldier with a rare fatal illness that took his mother’s life. Nina and some other women had been abducted and rescued, now living on the planet Celeron.

Nina is attracted to her rescuer, Zeycott. But when she is near, he sort of scowls at her, making her think he doesn’t like her. But there is more going on here than they realize. Will they figure the mystery out in time? Will they be able to save Zeycott’s life? Is it possible for Zeycott and Nina to have a future together?

This amazing author has such a beautiful way of giving us the most amazing characters that have strength and vulnerability and a story with brilliant technology, thrilling danger, and steamy romance. Nina is a human yoga instructor for aliens on their planet falls for Zeycott the soldier who rescued her. Zeycott has a mysterious disease. Will they figure out the cure or will Nina be his downfall. The plot is so well written with technology we wish we could have. Absolutely loved it. I would give it a 10 if I could.

I loved the story of Nina and Zeycott (Zy). Nina has fallen for an elite soldier who has a rare fatal illness. Problem is when she gets close to him he expresses pain and scowls. Finally Nina has had it and confronts Zy. She changes things within him by an unusual spark. These two are great characters with humor and some steam. Can they find a cure for Zeycott's illness before it's too late for them? Great story.

Can’t get enough of this series!! I just love how much each book brings more world building and how each of them flows so nicely together. I truly can picture and overal visualize what was described. Filled with action, suspense, steamy moments and spice, fated star mates.

I love Nina and Zeycott. They truly made a great couple. Their connection and pull for one another is so strong.

Love how amazing these tattoos were described and what they can even be used for! Especially Zeycott’s idea to help be remembered even after being long gone in the very distant future.

This was a fun, interesting and slightly different than usual read. Though it is technically scifi to me this read far more like fantasy, with a lot of magical aspects to it. It was very original and I enjoyed the yoga touches and the funky spider.

Sparks definitely flew in this book!

This is a book about fate. What’s meant to be, will happen ….. but only when it’s time. Waiting is not easy and things start happening, but it only places them in even greater danger. And their love is like a violent thunderstorm: vibrant, striking, explosive and awe inspiring.
