Remembrance of Blood: A Sophie Quinn FBI Mystery Thriller

Rate this book
“Obsession is a vampire—its only fuel is blood… and its thirst is never satisfied.”

Driven by pain, Sophie Quinn and Easton Frenche cling desperately to the faint clues guiding them to the man who destroyed both their lives, The River Killer. But as the patterns of her investigation begin to align, Sophie finds that the lineage of violence left by the man who killed her sister has deeper roots in Louisiana’s red soil than she ever feared.

The specter of the assassin, Johnny Hatch, looms over Jonathan Greer and Sophie Quinn as they step from the ashes of Hitchens’ tyranny and into new dangers in the form of the Family, a criminal organization as mysterious as they are lethal. And Hatch’s red-handed vendetta against them may cost Sophie more than she can bear to lose.

The net tightens around them, blood will be spilled, and Sophie’s mind is consumed by only one thought…

“He’s back.”

Having worked on projects with New York Times Bestsellers and USA Today bestsellers, Georgia Wagner recently hit #1 bestseller with her newest series. Location and character are two big factors for Georgia, and getting those right allows the story to flow seamlessly onto the page. And flow it does, because Georgia is so prolific a new term is required to describe the rate at which nerve-tingling stories find their way into print.

When not found attached to a laptop, Georgia likes spending time in local arboretums, among the trees and ponds. An avid cultivator of orchids, begonias, and all things floral, Georgia also has a strong penchant for art, paintings, and sculptures. A many-decades-long passion for mystery novels and years of chess tournament experience makes Georgia the perfect person to pen the Artemis Blythe series. That's where it all started, but the drive to craft thrilling mystery tales soon demanded new characters in new locations.

Where will she take us next?

Sophie is back to the FBI working as a consultant in a case that resembles the killings by the River Killer. If she solves it, it will guarantee her admittance as an agent, which is her dream job. It's not an easy task as there are no leads, no signs left by the culprit and she gets fixated on the RK without realizing there's much more involved. Her past gets mixed with her present and she's afraid she'll lose everything she has worked for. Fast-paced, full of mystery and with a great plot this story ends with a cliffhanger and I'd love to learn what happens next! Highly recommended!
I thank the author for this ARC.

Wowza!! This new Sophie Quinn book is a doozy! There are more bodies and Sophie races to figure out whether it is indeed the River Killer or a copy cat. Easton, the RK's son, is trying to help Sophie and seems to be falling in love with her as well. Meanwhile, Greer is biding his time, giving her room to come back around to being partnered with him again after the Hitchens debacle.
An explosively good book.
And that ending?!!!!

This one really gets your heart racing. A few of the books in the middle of this series were a bit slow for me, but this one really picked it up again and had me on the edge of my seat. It does end on a bit of a cliff hanger and I can't find anything about when the next one will be released so be warned it's going to leave you frustrated. In the meantime check out her Artemis Blythe series, it was even better than this one. I'm moving on to Ella Porter and hoping that's just as good.

This is by far the best series I have read in a long time! I have burned through it, book by book, in less than two months. The characters in this series are relatable, and the storyline just flows so seamlessly from book to book.... Just PLEASE don't let this be the last book!! 😭
I cannot wait to start another of Georgia Wagner's series!

This was an 8 book series. I completely enjoyed every book in the series, and expected the last book to provide answers and wrap up some of the story lines. Instead it ended so abruptly with none of that. Instead it left me with no answers and more questions. Had I known in advance that this would happen, I wouldn’t have started the series at all.
