This book is part of a long-running series about bakery in Penworth Bay, Cornwall. Run by Elsie, she has a dedicated staff; and alongside them, she has a volunteer who works in bakery in return for a room. These volunteers often find themselves at the bakery when they need a change of direction in their lives. Instead of leaving the bay at the end of the month, most of the volunteers end up staying, often finding their soul mate along the way.

Lynsey is one such volunteer. After a relationship breakdown and being accused of something she didn't do,
she decides to change her life. She buys a house in the Bay area at auction and arrives, ready to start work. However, when she goes to her house for the first time, she realises she's made a huge mistake!

The story is a short one, easily read in a couple of hours, but if you're a fan of romance, then this is a good book choice for you. Whilst each book is a standalone story, the books are best read in order of publication to preserve continuity of the characters and wider storyline.

One book too many?

Very short book with storylines
not develped. Every thing seems to have been skim ed over. Got the impression that the author is tired of the bakery series and just couldmt be bothered ot er than stick vaguely to the formula.

Lynsey has come to renovate her newly acquired cottage but the condition is far worse than she imagined. After a bad first meeting Zac agrees to work on it for her and gradually their initial hostility turns to feelings of love.

was good to be back with the bakery family. Would of loved to have found out more about how lyndsey's cottage looked once finished. As it sounded like it would be quite quirky and definitely unusual
