5 Thrilling Erotic WTF Stars!!!

First off this is the first book I've read by Kiara Delaney and I'm now completely and totally head over heals in love with her writing.

I fell in LOVE with Ghostwriter and the last 3 chapters were W.O.W!! I actually had to read those chapters over several times just to make sure I read them correctly because I so didn't see ANY of that coming. I was drawn into Ghostwriter right from the very first sentence and found myself not wanting to put the book down.

Devon Bradford is a dominant journalist with The Times who has been hired to write the autobiography of Nina Petrov by Nina's father. Nina is an former ballet dancer who's career ended due to an accident. Devon is hoping that by helping Nina write this book it will be enough to help his writing career take off. However Nina is all that thrilled about writing this autobiography and isn't too forthcoming with revealing her past. She does know that she is done with letting people use her and then throwing her away.

I absolutely fell in love with Devon he has the patience of a saint to put up with some of Nina's issues and kept coming to her rescue even when she kept pushing him away. There were times where I just wanted to grab Nina and shake her while telling her to grow up. However by the end of the book I knew why she acted the way that she did and gave her a free pass.

Now back to the ending of Ghostwriter complete and utter shock, didn't see that coming speechless....

If you are looking for an erotic, suspenseful, thrilling read then this is the book for you. Ghostwriter will not disappoint you.

I went into Ghostwriter blind. I haven't read Kiara Delaney before and hadn't seen any teasers. I received an ARC for an honest review.

I was more than pleasantly surprised. I loved Kiara's writing style and her character development was great.

I connected more with the male lead than the female which is unusual for me, but pretty sure that was supposed to happen. (chuckle)

Devon is a journalist hired to write the memoirs of Nina, an ex-ballerina. He is a self-professed dominant.

Nina is spoiled and emotional and sometimes I want to just grab her up and spank her (in a parental way, get your mind out of the gutter).

The cliffhanger at the end is huge, ginormous and came out of nowhere! Completely did not see that coming!

Great read and I can't wait for the next installment!

This novel is full of surprises. If you're a fan of erotic suspense, Ghostwriter offers a great blend of steamy scenes, emotional turmoil, and page turning tension. Kiara Delaney did an amazing job keeping me guessing what was going on from beginning to end. I was impressed by how she tied everything together, and the end literally gave me chills. Read it!!

Kiara Delaney was a new to me author until I read Ghostwriter. After reading Ghostwriter I have now found a new favorite author and a new favorite book. The twists and turns had me clinging to the edge of my seat and wanting to read more. If there was ever a book to read it would be this one. I loved it and recommend reading it.

OMG what did I just read! Talk about mind flip. You go along for so long thinking you know what the story is all about and then you get thrown one hell of a curve ball.

The story is told in first person from Devon’s perspective to begin with. He has been hired to be the ghostwriter for Nina’s book about her life by her father. One of the many problems Devon faces is that Nina has no desire to do a book about her life. She just sees this as another way for her father to control her, like he has always done. To say that they get off to a bad start would be putting it mildly. To begin with Devon doesn’t know whether there might actually be something wrong with Nina. Her moods can flip as quickly as blinking and he is constantly trying to keep up. He went there looking for his break as a writer, not expecting to fall for his subject. Nina gets under his skin so fast that it feels like she has always been there – but nothing is ever quite as it seems.

It seems like Nina has always fallen for the wrong men. In her eyes she lets them in, falls in love and then they leave her. She has been hurt so many times before that when Devon tries to show her that he is different she tries everything to push him away. Her thinking is that it won’t hurt as much if she doesn’t let him get too close to begin with. She does want him to stay with her though. She finally feels a bit more like herself with him there but she knows he will eventually leave so she does everything she can think of to push him away first. Then in her mind she can say ‘I told you so’ about him leaving. Her mistake is that she doesn’t realise just how stubborn Devon is – he has no intention of giving her up without one hell of a fight. She just doesn’t realise how quick she has gotten under his skin – like he has gotten under hers – to the point that he doesn’t want to ever leave her.

No matter her moods Devon tries to focus her towards doing the book, at first, however when they start to spend more time together he sees it more as an add on to spend more time with her. He uses it as a way to get to know the real Nina and not the spoiled brat that we are introduced to in the beginning. Her character can come off as a bit annoying in the beginning but I urged you to continue through because when she opens up about her past you can see why she is like she is. You just have to wonder how far she can really push Devon before he will finally say enough is enough. At the end of the day if that happens she will only have herself to blame.

The ending is just genius, completely flips the story on its head, making you question everything you have read so far. You will be asking yourself ‘what was real?’ I think that Kiara Delaney is the queen of twists that you will never see coming – just brilliant.

I received this ARC from the author for my honest review.

Ghostwriter 5 stars and Haunted 4.5 stars

Kiara Delaney is a new to me author this year. Thanks to wonderful book friends who recommended these books to me. Book 1 and 2 of the Fallen from Grace series follow the story of Nina Petrov and her life to date. Ghostwriter ends on a cliff hanger, so I recommend getting both books and easing your cliffie pain quickly.

The genre is erotic thriller/romantic suspense. I typically do not do well here because of my own wimpy issues. Man! I may have to change my stand on that! Ghostwriter had me hanging to the very edge with a whole lot of what-the-f**kery going on!

Book 2 picks up 18 months after the end of book 1 as Nina’s story continues. The reader picks up pretty quickly in book one that Nina has some mental health issues. Her moods are all over the place and random comments indicate she has some trust issues. Everyone has let her down in her life. What I appreciate most about Nina is her resilience despite all that has happened to her. She has an underlying fighting spirit that lets me believe she is ultimately going to be ok.

This is a series that can’t be reviewed entirely without giving away much of the story. These are books that need to be read to be experienced. What I can tell you is that the writing is impeccable. The author writes form some experience about mental health. Characters are believable and well thought out. The story unfolds in dual POV for the most part. There is a hero-ish character along with some very steamy scenes both with Nina and in his fantasy of Nina.

My only reason for giving 4.5 stars to Haunted is I am not yet settled in my head about the ending. Maybe I need to digest some more. I definitely did not see it coming. I just am not sure I am ok with the conclusion. Happy to change my mind as time passes!

Please read all the way to the end of Haunted and learn the author’s own story. Persons with mental health issues are so marginalized in our society. It warms my heart to be able to read a story of success through many trials and setbacks. If anything, I hope you take pause and consider that not every person, not every love story, not every HEA comes about as fairytale perfection. Consider a different reality from your own. Above all, be kind.

**arc received for honest review**

This is a really hard review to write this book left us speechless with a WTF??

Devon is a young writer working his way through the industry he recently started working for the time but received a phone call to ghost write about a young well known dancer.

Devon sets off to Nina's house knowing nothing about her. When he gets there little did he realize what he was in for.

Devon tries his hardest to stay professional and not fall for Nina even if she is a handful and cracks it over the slightest thing.

He falls for her.

He wants her.

Can he handle her brattyness?

Will Nina fall for Devon?

Nina doesn't want to write this book or even dictate it to Devon she doesn't want people knowing her business.

Her father wants it written.

Will Nina give in to her fathers demands and write the book?

Does Nina fall for Devon?

After a few weeks of passion things come to an end for the 2 love birds as Nina decides she doesn't want to write the book and Devon cant handle anymore of Nina's mood swings and goes back to work at the times.

After 2 weeks of no Devon Nina cant stand to live with out him and wants to continue with the book, when she tries to contact him but his changed his number.

She remembers his friend Julia's number but it goes straight to message bank. Nona then decides to try the Times where Devon worked but there is know knowledge of him ever working there so she decides to go to her fathers house to ask him for Devon's details but then......

We cant give you anymore details cause then its a WTF??

We had to go back and re read this chapter of the book as we first thought we missed something and we were going a bit crazy but we weren't!!

This book has a major kicker so its a definite must read!! Well done Kiara for an awesome book!!

Seriously...WTF did I just read?

Simply amazing. This book will mess with your head BIG TIME! There are plot twists galore and the final scene, well I NEVER expected that! Never in a million years. Nina Petrov is a young woman whose career as a professional ballet dancer was cut short due to an injury. Devon Bradford is contracted by her father to ghostwrite Nina's autobiography. While this may seem like an uninteresting story line based on the book's description, TRUST ME...the emotional roller coaster this book took me on, well...I could never have imagined it. Devon is hot- like holy hell hot! And Nina, well, I'll be honest, she's a bit of a brat with a great big sassy mouth on her (it made for some great dialogue!) At times I wanted to c**t punt her, but as I got deeper into the story, I began to learn just how multi faceted she was, and some of the reasons she behaved as she did. I wish I could give more details about this book, because it is SO GOOD and unlike any book I have read. The clincher is the ending, which I refuse to spoil because it's going to make you beg for the next book, blew me away...like I seriously thought to myself "This is INSANE!" I HIGHLY recommend this book, and Kiara, I want to thank you for such an amazing and completely original story. A fast paced read that kept my attention page after page. Do yourself a HUGE favor and pick this one up. You won't be disappointed.

My Review of Ghostwriter by Kiara Delaney
My Rating 4 Stars
I went in to this story blind, having no real idea as to what I was going to be reading. Then……It hit me and I found that I was falling for the ghostwriter! If you are looking for something that’s suspenseful, thrilling and highly erotic then pick up this book you will not be disappointed.
Devon the dominant man who works as a journalist for The Times. Devon has been hired by Nina’s father to write her autobiography. Nina Petrov, will try every ounce of patience that Devon Bradford has while trying to write this story….The Journey Begins!
The many twists and turns this story takes you on, Kiara Delaney will keep you guessing and have you asking questions and hoping for answers. The plot and storyline were written extremely well.
There is a bit of a cliffy, which I’m not a real fan of and this one really gets you, but I do look forward to the next in the series….

Didn't see that coming!!

As always the male character, Devon is hot! Through most of the story I wondered what Nina's secrets could be that would make her act and say the things she does but, never did I see this cliffhanger ending coming! I was shocked and it had me rethinking the story over and over in my head! If it isn't obvious I loved the book as I do all Kiara's books. I can't wait until book 2 comes out!!

Did not see that coming…

This book caught my attention even before it was released. The main characters were both sexually appealing and the attraction between the two kept me anticipating what was to come. I just never really saw that cliffhanger coming. This book did however leave me wanting more. I am so looking forward to the next book.

What did I just read?? WOW! Spoiler alert! There is a major cliffhanger that you will not see coming. Most likely you will have to read the last chapter again just out of disbelief. This book kept me on my toes and made my jaw drop. I can't wait to read the next book. This was my first book by Kiara Delaney, but will not be my last. I cannot wait to see what happens next!

All I can say is holy cow! I thought after reading a few chapters in that this was going to be more erotica. Then I found myself twisted again as Kiara threw me for yet another heart racing twist. Ghostwriter filled me with unusual romance and thrilling fights for love. Only to find out it was just….. well if I told you then you wouldn’t need to read this book for yourself. Here’s a little bit about the book though:
Devon is a journalist who is offered a job he couldn’t refuse. A chance to ghost write someone else’s life story. Taking the chance, he has no idea what he’s getting into when he meets Nina. A former dancer, her career was ended in a tragic accident on the stage. Then she found out she lost her mother in a car crash on the way to see Nina’s performance.
Nina hides herself away in a rural cottage to recover. Devon tries to open Nina up, falling for her in the process. They battle through Nina’s past, slowly getting the words for the book, he was commissioned to write. However she is so stubborn, she pushes his away. Giving in, he leaves her, mourning her more than another other loss he had encountered before.
My heart truly raced with each passing page. Though some pages made me plush, this tale is nowhere near as risky as I thought it might be. I did, however, find I had to read the earlier half of the book while alone sometimes. This might not be a good choice for ages under 18. As a YA lover, I have to say I liked this NA book a lot. Now go get your copy and see what you’re missing out on! Give the author some love and follow the links below!

~~~~~~~~~~Shar's ★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~
This story does not turn out the way I thought it would. Honestly, did not care for the writing at all. IMO it was dry and lackluster. The author does save it somewhat with the huge twist at the end. The characters were unlikable - especially Nina with her spoiled rotten bratty ways. I wanted to yank her out of her room and slap the crap out of her for being such a bitch. Devon did nothing for me either. He is supposed to be a Dom but he was so wishy washy that I found it hard to believe. The build up between the characters was also not believable - until the twist at the end which helps it make sense.
This is the first book in a series and does have a huge cliffhanger and no where near an HEA.
***Mindf*ck of EPIC PROPORTIONS!*** Talk about a plot twist! The end- I never saw it coming and when it did, it only made me crave for Book 2 IMMEDIATELY! This wasn't a cliffhanger...this was a "WTF DID I JUST READ?!" "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" Insanely hot sex scenes, extremely intense couple, I want to lick Devon (is that naughty of me?), and Nina kept me spinning right up until the last page! No spoilers here...YOU HAVE TO READ IT WITH YOUR OWN EYES TO BELIEVE IT. Oh so good... Ghostwriter An Erotic Thriller (Shattered Pieces Series, #1) by Kiara Delaney
An Arc was received for an HONEST Review
3.5 Stars
Kiara Delaney is a new Author to me. The book is well written and has a major cliff hanger at the end, so make sure you have 'Haunted' (Book 2) ready to go.
I went into this book not knowing what it was about and left feeling like I needed to more.
I have so many questions that have been left unanswered I'm going in for more.
