The story started quite well, it's written in the hero's POV (1st person).
THe story's short but it's entertaining and I hope the next would be much better than this one.

I’m so mad this book was so short! I need more naughty fun with sex God Dean! This book jumps right in showing us just how cocky and sexually stimulated Mr. Chase always is. He always crosses the line, in business and with women. But it seems to be working out perfectly for him because he never has a lonely night and makes big bucks.
I instantly loved Deans honesty. He doesn’t sugar coat things and is totally forward with women. An aggressive man who knows what he wants and goes after it is so sexy. Dean tells women he is only looking for fun, not a relationship. It seems this approach works because he’s got someone new practically every day.
That all changes when the first woman to deny him, steps into his personal life and work life. Blair is a sassy beautiful woman who won’t put up with Dean’s cocky attitude. In just days they randomly bump into each other and flirt like mad. But sadly this short book leaves me hanging and not knowing what happens with Dean and if Blair ever gives into. I need to know all the naughty sexy things they get into!

This book was a 4.5 star for me. Even though it was short, it was packed full of excitement. Dean Chase has been with 735 different women and was on the prowl for 736. He wasn't the type who wanted to settle down with one woman. That is until he meets Blair, who gives him a run for his money. Every line Dean throws her way, she dishes it right back at him. You can tell when reading the story all the sexual tension between the two. At a company Halloween party they throw all those tensions out the window and end up in a hotel room hooking up. Dean gets a phone call from Blair's brother who needs Deans help bringing his sister down from helping him run the company. Will he do it!? Can't wait to read book 2!

5 SUPER HOT DIRTY BOY STARS
I cannot say how I would react in real life if Dean Chase spoke to me that way but heck I know when I am reading about it I am yelling PICK ME PICK ME !! Dean is an arrogant man whore but something about him just reels you in and makes you want more and more !! He is a successful associate at a law firm that has no shortage of women , but he does not mess with those he works with or for. When Blair comes into his life his whole world is rocked !! He cannot think straight and his normal fun is not happening for him because he wants Blair so bad , but he does not mix business with pleasure , or so he says.
Their 1st few meetings are hysterical , Blair is one tough chick !! The emails with B. Parker cracked me up I was laughing out loud !! Once they actually come face to face and he finds out who she actually is he is stunned and for good reason. Blair seems calm , cool and collected but being who he is Dean is good enough to break her down and get what he wants. It is full of hotness !! The dirty talk alone is enough to work you up. I felt like his co-worker that was hanging on his every word I wanted to know all the dirty details about his sex life too !! There is a plot coming out of this series and right at the end you get a glimpse of what that might be....
What will Dean do ?? Will we find out in part 2 or will we have to wait until part 3 !!!!!!!!

This book had my interest with that synopsis and with the success of recent serials, I was on board the Chase train.
Sadly I soon as I started reading, I wanted to throw myself off said train.
I can stand the whole cocky, man-whore character because they usually have some redeeming quality, and are somewhat charming. Though I just couldn’t find anything I really liked about Dean Chase.
Everything about his behavior and demeanor had me cringing with disgust and rolling my eyes. Seeing as he is a lawyer at a well-repsected law firm, you’d think he’d know how to behave himself in public. Yet, he didn’t seem to mind who saw him sticking his fingers up a girls vagina in the middle of a crowded bar.
I’m all for the dirty-talking, alpha-male, but when Dean dished out lines he just sounded like a sexist, pig that needed to get well slapped.
As for the leading lady, I liked her. Until about the point they had an actual interaction with words… And she didn’t slap him across his face! I don’t care how hot a guy is, I will not let any stranger spout that crap to me. The fact that she did, made me instantly dislike and lose all respect for her.
There's an abundance of reviews that praise this book and series, so I’m simply one of the few that just couldn’t get passed Dean’s way of being.

The Chase is my very first Jessica Wood book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It seems like tons and tons of authors are writing these sexy little serials right now but I am loving them. They are quick, easy, super sexy reads and I just cannot seem to get enough of them.
Dean Chase is a womanising lawyer. He is good looking and he knows it. Cocky doesn’t even begin to describe his level of conceit.
“If it’s any consolation, that was a great fucking one-night stand.”
He always gets his woman. Women are his life outside of work. One after the other.
“And yes, I do think about pussy a lot. It’s my hobby and I’m motherfucking passionate about my hobbies.”
Dean keeps running into one woman who will not give him the time of day; Blair. Blair is no fool. She is onto Mr. Chase’s playboy ways and is having none of it!
I really really enjoyed the bantering back and forth between these two. Blair really holds her own against Dean and her smart mouth and quick wit made LOL quite a few times. Dean came off kind of douchey in the beginning but I really feel like he redeemed himself. The sexual tension leading up to the steamy sex scene was really phenomenal. Overall I really enjoyed this short novella and I cannot wait to see what happens in the next one after that bomb was dropped at the end of The Chase.

Dean is on the chase of a lifetime!!
Hot intro to The Chase series. Our "hero", or maybe main character is a better title, is an associate at a law firm working his way to partner. He is very cocky and has more notches on his bed post than most. I laughed out loud at some of his antics!! And now a bit about the story...
Dean has just a few rules when it comes to women. Never date a co-worker or a client, everyone else is eligible... He has lots of women on his speed dial, but never a girlfriend. He is constantly harassing is co-worker, Josh, who is in a committed relationship. When the next big case starts heating up he is frustrated by the demanding vice president at the client and intrigued by a new woman he keeps ruining into. But the story is just beginning the composed lawyer is having a hard time balancing the two feelings. And just wait for the cliffhanger at the end ... I can't wait for volume two :)
Favorite passage: "Let me get out of your way so you can have some alone time with that peach."

The Chase, Volume One is a great read. It is definitely a must read.
Dean Chase is a player. To Dean woman are just a number. He has 735 notches is his proverbial belt. When he see Blair, he wants her to be number 736. So, when I first read that Dean had been with 735 woman, I was like eew gross. In other books I have read the main guy character has slept over but I have never read a book where the main character counts his conquest. Dean's number of conquests didn't bother me for long because Dean is such a great character.
Dean and Blair are great, well written characters. Dean doesn't sugarcoat anything. He is a straight forward guy. Blair is feisty and doesn't fall for Dean immediately. Blair doesn't let Dean get away with a lot of thing his other woman did. I loved reading the email interaction back and forth from Dean and Blair.
This is Volume 1, so of course there is a cliffhanger. The Chase, Volume 2 is now out so you don't have to wait to continue reading Dean and Blair's story. I one clicked The Chase, Volume 2 right away.

Dean Chase is such an egotistical, self centered jerk! And I need more!! You know how those bad boys are, we are attracted like magnets to them! There's nothing we can do and I LOVE IT! Sexy, Confident, Brutally honest, gets what he needs and gives us what we want. Until he meets his match. It was awesome to see him weaken in his playbook and as soon as Chase pt 1 got really going, BANG I got left with a 'duh duh duh.... But I secretly loved the cliffhanger and the twist that happened. I am looking forward to Chase pt 2. I've said it before and I will repeat myself, I am loving the new trend in serials and Jessica Wood has not disappointed me and you won't be either!

AWESOME!!! I love how his name is Dean Chase and he's chasing Blair!! Hahaha
What i can I say about Dean Chase, he's a cocky son of a gun who has girls at his beckon call 24/7. He's sexy and he knows it. But then he meets Blair Parker, a client of his firm and the woman he wants but can not have. She's beautiful . And he gets that pitter patter moment where he never ever thought he would ever be. But it makes things a bit hard since he's her lawyer n she a his client. BAD! I don't want to give much away you just got to read it! The ending got me all

First of all, I love how Dean Chase says what he is thinking, he doesn't care if people don't like it. Holy... What the??? Omg! I need more. I so wasn't expecting that! This is a must read! Dean Chase is an arrogant egotistical alpha male that loves sex. He wants to keep adding notches to his bed post. Then in walks Blair and he's knocked on his rear end. I love Blair's character, a woman that can hold her own and practically make a man beg. Jessica Wood did an AWESOME job on this book and based on the ending...I NEED THE NEXT ONE ASAP! What happened you ask? Well you need to read it to find out. You won't be sorry!

There is nothing shy or unapologetic about Dean Chase. He one of those alpha males that you love to hate -- not because he loves sex just because you know yes...he will learn too LOL. He is arrogant. He is egotistical. The combination works for him!
It's a short novella but I quickly got hooked into the story. I came across the book because of the cover model - I have a habit of that LOL I'm looking forward to seeing where Book 2 takes the couple and knowing there is a Book 3 already I feel it's going to be a fun and sexy roller coaster.

Where has Chase been all my life? How is it that Jessica Wood dipped into my mind and pulled him out of my fantasy?
Sure Chase is a cocky, manwhoring, womanizing, belt notching sex pot, but damn I'm in love. Volume 1 was not nearly long enough, only giving me a taste and I want more.
From the very beginning this book is addicting. I could not put it down. Before I was halfway done with Volume 1 I already one-clicked volume 2. I have not read a book in FOREVER that I love as much as this book. The Chase definitely got me over my book funk.

I love Dean Chase, the ruthless sexy bastard!
Great writing. I swear at times I feel like Jessica Wood us in my head, she writes like I think. This only makes the already well defined characters come to life. Multiple times I found I was sitting there reading with a grin on my face.
Blair is awesome. She's smart, funny, sassy as hell and has the confidence to trump ego-maniac Dean. I loved their email banter!!! Dean's aggressive, inappropriate replies made me laugh out loud.
Excellent, excellent book!!! I can't wait for book 3!

Great start to the 3 part series. Dean Chase is an up and coming (actually he literally is...when you read the book you will get the joke) lawyer. He's a player that can get any woman he wants. He's hot, sexy and a lot of arrogant. He meets his match in a new client Blair. Let the pursuit begin. I can't wait until book 2. I also like it comes out very soon after the first book, so not a lot of wait time in between. Great job Jessica Wood.

Chase is one cocky, sexy piece of man meat. It doesn't help his ego that he's a fantastic lawyer. When he crosses Blair's path, he is mesmerized by her. As he keeps running into her the stronger his need to have her grows. Things get complicated, but Chase is determined to have her. Just when he starts having feelings for a woman that he's never had before things get even more complicated. Some hot, steamy, juicy sex scenes. Damian makes a brief appearance too. Cliff hanger ending.

I loved this book..the "ULTIMATE BAD BOY" Chase does not believe in love or relationships until he comes across Blair his client in the law firm he works in! Can he find his other half in Blair? You will need to read the book to find out! There. is a big cliffhanger so be prepared!

I absolutely loved this book, this was another great Jessica Wood book. I love Dean's character and did not expect that ending. I cannot wait to read volume two. I also love how Jessica ties her books together. Great book by an amazing author. I recommend this to everyone.

I loved Dean! He's a man who loves the thrill of the Chase! He meets his match in a woman named Blair,who also happens to be a client! After much baiting and bickering back and forth,they finally get together! The question is will they stay together??

i must be one of the minority for this book, but i didn't care for it. One i am not a huge fan of serials - just make one freaking normal book and only charge me to read it once instead of 4 times. also i thought Dean was an ass. Not interested in finding out any more.
