The Sanctum Key by Sudharsana belongs to the category where you get a scope for what-ifs. This book is a fascinating collision of science, mythology and history. It brings together modern science, ancient knowledge, mythology, secret societies, historical mysteries, and questions about existence. Sudharsana weaves all these elements together into one intriguing story.

Sanjay and Ayush are important to the present-day story, and I liked how their friendship adds a warm, emotional touch to the otherwise complex mystery. The historical characters, especially Kulashekaran and those around him, add another interesting layer to the story.
I also liked how the characters are not just trying to solve a mystery but are dealing with questions of knowledge, power, and the choices made in the past. At times, the number of characters and the shift between timelines made it a little difficult to keep track, but as the story progressed, the connections became easier to understand.

One thing I really enjoyed about The Sanctum Key is how it brings science and mythology together. Instead of keeping them completely separate, Sudharsana connects the two in an interesting way. This made me look at some familiar ideas from a different perspective.
Some of the scientific parts can feel a little heavy, especially when the story gets technical. I had to slow down and read those sections carefully. However, I felt these details were important because science is not just an extra element in the story. it is an important part of the world the author has created.
The Sanctum Key is an interesting science-fiction mystery that combines ancient secrets with modern science. I enjoyed the mystery, the different timelines, and the way science, mythology, history, and philosophy come together. The story needs a little attention because of its many characters, timelines, and scientific details, but that also makes it an engaging read.

A mysterious explosion, a nuclear facility, a house that has disappeared and friends investigating the going-ons. Now if this isn't a fodder for a bestseller, I don't know what is! The Sanctum Key by Sudharsana is a thrilling experience with a three pronged leap in time. With references and active participation of eminent historical personalities, the author grounds her story deep into the reality. This tether that provides a historical, royal as well as scientific connection to the story is a masterstroke by the author. Having real people as refrence points in a thriller is something that will root it into a recognisable corner in reader's mind, thereby giving it an authenticity that is hard to beat.

So what is it about? Sanjay and Ayush are goofing around in a small township of Naliya in Gujarat, chasing girls and doing what boys do what their town is jolted with an uncanny explosion that leads to people going unconscious. As they move around, they discover that an entire house has disappeared. Meanwhile, strangers have descended upon the town, harbouring secret agendas. As the story moves, it also jumps and shows us two very intresting characters that are part of the story: the first is the legendary scientist Satyendra nath Bose (check out for a line in the story where a character asks why he didn't get a Nobel) and the second is none other than the great king Ashoka himself. But how has author inducted them both and even made a reference to Oppenheimer in a letter? Well I am not going to tell you everything here. Get the book to find out more.

The author hasn't hurried the story, choosing to set it at a reasonable pace. I like how she lets life seep out from the story, drenching the reader slowly with hner words and introducing the nuances of the characters in her own time. She skillfully sets the characters up, pushing them into twists and turns slowly but surely. I also like how she has created dread through dialogues. Have a look:
'"Ayush..." Sanjay looked at him with concern."Do you know what were dealing with? There's a real possibility that we can't find Shreya and her father. You understand that, right?" He pointed to the chaotic display of papers and digital screens in front of them."Look at this. It's like they never even existed!"'

Since the story keeps on leaping back and forth in time, we see different characters interacting with one another. This breaks the monotony and provides a refreshing cleanse to readers' palate.
The author exerts a tight control on the elements of the story, balancing pace with the emotions, walking a tight rope of keeping reader's interest in the story while helping the main characters evolve at a comfortable pace.

It's also a pleasure to read the story when the authors inculcate their own beliefs and philosophies into the writing without it hindering the narrative. Sudharsana has done that effortlessly.

Science, mythology, secret societies, and a mystery that goes back thousands of years.....This one brings all of these together in a way I honestly didn’t expect. Historical fictions are enormously present but this one mixes scientific aspects into it and that what makes it standsout.

At the centre of the story is the" Sanctum Key " an ancient and powerful artefact that two secret societies have been fighting over for nearly 2,000 years.Just think about it...
While one wants to uncover its hidden power, the other is determined to keep it buried.A serious conflict, right?

What I really enjoyed was how the author connects ancient wisdom with modern science. It have multiple POVs and It sounds like a difficult one but the story makes it surprisingly engaging and the author made it an easy thing to establish.There are plenty of twists, mysteries, and moments that made me stop and think about where the story was actually heading.

Some parts get quite deep into science and philosophy, but I didn’t find that distracting. Instead, those details added more depth to the mystery and made the whole idea of the Sanctum Key feel even more intriguing.But what made me stop and think is some lines the book carries like look at this one,it holds many thoughtful things than the words....

For me, this wasn’t just a story about an ancient artefact. It also made me think about how far humans should go in the search for knowledge and whether every secret is really meant to be uncovered.A fascinating mix of science, mythology, mystery, and history that kept me curious till the end.

Mostly...thrillers are built around finding something that has been hidden. This one, "The Sanctum Key", becomes all the more interesting because it continuously questioned that "what if something or someone could disappear so completely that even reality would seem to have forgotten, that it ever existed🤞
This question...or more specifically the idea, gave Ms. Sudharsana’s novel, all the more, an unusual ground.
It began with a scientific accident and an almost impossible disappearance which gradually followed a tense narrative involving ancient knowledge, secret societies, historical figures and scientific possibilities that actually challenged ordinary assumptions about time and existence🙃
The mystery wasn't simply about discovering the truth but about understanding which version of reality, the characters and us readers could actually trust🤞
The awesome use of the multiple timelines was particularly fantastic to read for they've been used real well👌
The shifts between the modern investigation, the historical threads and the older secrets, steadily created the impression that events separated by centuries were somehow participating in the same unfinished conversation😅
The connections haven't been handed over immediately, which definitely made reading through the story feel closer to collecting evidence than merely following a plot🤩🙌

The multiple timelines were one of my favourite parts of the reading experience. The involvement of figures and ideas rooted in Indian history and science also gives the story a distinctive flavour, while the conflict surrounding the Sanctum Key keeps the stakes high throughout.

There are quite a few characters and ideas to keep track of, so the book does ask for attention, but I found that part of its appeal rather than something that took away from the experience.

I also liked that beneath the high-stakes mystery, the story leaves room for questions about ambition, belief, morality and the choices people make when power is within reach. For me, The Sanctum Key worked best when the historical threads and modern investigation started feeling like pieces of the same much larger puzzle.

If you enjoy thrillers that make you chase clues while also giving you something to think about after you've closed the book, I'd personally recommend this one. It's the kind of story I'd be happy to discuss with someone after reading, especially the questions it raises about how far we should go in the search for knowledge.

I would call it thoughtful, adventurous and unconventional science-mystery read for anyone who enjoys books that make you think, question and keep guessing.

In the small town of Naliya, Gujarat there's an energy research center where there's been an "incident"/malfunction which results in a rumble of noises & disappearance of the town's people. Sanjay who is the research center director's son & his friend Ayush are keen on discovering the mystery and to bring back the people who are missing.

What they find next are startling since the missing individuals records appear to be wiped off from all official records & they come to know that they are the only individuals who remember the missing people since they were in contact with water at the time of the incident.

The boys team up with a research intern and a journalist to uncover the truth. They don't trust their parents & operate in secret, scrolling through the archived sections of the library trying to find some overlooked detail.

Things take an unexpected turn when the main research scientist is also missing while the team travel to Madurai to speak with the research center's first director to know more about the Project Nexus.


What I liked the most about this book is how the author has blended the past ancient history with the present story in a nail-biting dual timelime.

Will the team bring back the missing people? Are they trusting the right people?

Just imagine what happens when the ancient secrets, advanced physics and mythology came together to explain the destruction of the modern world?

The Sanctum Key by Sudharsana is a gripping sci-fi story that beautifully blends mythology, history and science.
The story begins with a girl, her father and their entire existence being erased from the world, while only a few of her friends still remember her.

As the mystery unfolds, we are taken between the present world and the Ashoka Empire, with different sections slowly revealing clues about the research centre, missing people, ancient manuscripts and the mysterious Ratnas.

What I loved most was how the suspense is maintained throughout the book. Every section adds another piece to the puzzle, keeping you curious about how all these seemingly different elements are connected.

I particularly enjoyed the character development and interconnected storylines, along with the investigation into the missing people by two different teams lead by Karnan and Muhammed and other team of 5 Friends.
The combination of ancient knowledge and modern physics made the concept even more fascinating.

And just when you think you're getting closer to the answers… the book ends on a cliffhanger!
The suspense is still hanging in the air, so now all we can do is wait and see what happens next. 👀

This was definitely one of my most nail-biting, goosebumps reads.
It almost felt like a fictional interpretation of Kaliyuga, bringing mythology, history and futuristic science into one intriguing story.

If you like books with historical background and scientific elements, this book is right up your alley. What stood out to me is that there were different timelines and different characters yet there was no dull moment. I felt everything was connected and as the story progressed, It made me curious. Ended on mysterious note. I must say loved the world building and characters. Scientific elements added the layers of mystery and the book felt so intriguing.

A mysterious explosion and disappearance changes everything. Set in a small town of gujarat while the story will certainly take you back in time. Something mysterious is happening and to get to the bottom of them, characters must navigate through all the possibilities. In the beginning it all feels chaotic but slowly it all began to unveil and characters find themselves closer to the mystery. With secrets, mystery, intrigue, different timelines and science elements, you will find yourself hooked. And the author kept me intrigued till the end. Author has done a brilliant job by combining science, religion, technology, and cosmos. It all felt like an immersive journey and each character had their own mystery to solve. Like after getting discharged from hospital, Sanjay is startled to discover that there was no sign of what existed before and meant the world to him. While in another timeline, Kulashekaran had to deal with a deadly secret. It was also a mystery that characters from another timeline descended.

With innumerable layers and mysterious characters, author has seldomly dropped clues and added suspense to the story. But I will have to wait for next book. The book ended on a mysterious note.

The story revolved around the mysterious Sanctum Key and two secret societies that had been fighting over its power for centuries. When a scientific experiment went horribly wrong, Sanjay and Ayush found themselves pulled into a mystery involving disappearances, forgotten knowledge and questions about what was actually real.

What I really enjoyed was the way the story connected ancient history with modern science. The shifting timelines could take a little concentration, especially with the number of characters, but they gradually started coming together and made the bigger mystery even more intriguing. There were plenty of twists, secrets and little pieces to figure out, and I loved that feeling of constantly wondering “Okay, but how is all of this connected?”

I was not expecting such a twist and suspence from this book. Oh god this was an amazing thrill ride. Each page to a next level of intresting. The concept is just mindblowing.

The scientific elements blending with historical ones was so amazing. And the writing style is so great. Each chapter and each timeline was seperated with a question what next? And I loved how past chapters were added in between the present ones.

Each character has nailed their part. Sanjay, Ayush, Rukmini, Jason, Shruti at one side in their investigation and Aadavan and Pankaj with Karnan and Muhammed on other side figuring out their investigation were all so intresting to read. And Kulashekaran, I didn't expect that twist at last.

The battle of Ratna with Amruta were getting so tense and I just lived the plot. And the atmosphere especially Satyendra Nath Bose Energy Research and Development Centre was like a hidden secret holder.

Reading this book was an immersive experience as it takes us into a fascinating world where everything seems fine for now, but anything could go wrong at any given minute. A suspenseful narrative around a mysterious fictional world is weaved so beautifully, full of unusual stillness, and chaos at the same time.The exciting characters and their actions creates an urgency in the storytelling and keep us on the edge throughout the book to dive deeper into it. Firstly that blast which shook the township. Then after, an entire house vanish as if it never existed! Sanjay and Ayush embark on quest to find shreya and her father anyhow? Is there something bigger cooking?

In the beginning, the readers may find it difficult to connect the dots as different timelines and parallel narrative are weaved which comes together in the climax to create more suspense and leaves us unanswered. We will have to wait for the second title in this series.The dialogue and interactions feel realistic, making the relationships between characters meaningful and engaging. Overall, this book is a thought-provoking and exciting read. A must read if you love to read science fiction, thriller or fantasy.

Sanjay woke up one day in the hospital after a malfunction at the Dr Satyendra Nath Bose lab. After he was discharged, his friend Ayush went with him. He was in love with Shreya, and when he took Sanjay to see her house, he was shocked to find that the house was gone and no one remembered her. This unfolded many other things, like who & what else was missing and how it was possible.

On the other hand, Kamla and Madhusooshanan and their son Kulashekaran, in another timeline, were going to uncover a deadly secret that is the key to either saving or destroying mankind. One group is attempting to obtain the key, while another is trying to destroy it. Who will succeed?

The scientific elements, especially the research facility and its experiments, add realism and depth. The alternating timelines add suspense by gradually revealing clues. Although some sections necessitate careful reading to comprehend the intricate details, the writing style is engaging.

While the multiple timelines and characters can be a bit overwhelming, the author does a great job tying everything together. This book is worth reading if you enjoy stories that blur the line between science and myth, adventure and puzzles.

I love a good thriller, but The Sanctum Key by Sudharsana brings something completely different to the table by throwing quantum science and Indian mythology into the mix.

The premise of the book involves a shadowy war that is being fought among two competing secret societies that have been around for two thousand years. In order to prevent the end of the world due to their competition and struggle, a diverse group of people is recruited to solve problems and stop them from tearing the world apart after an experimental disaster that took place at an energy research center.

What I liked about this book is the fact that it combines the ancient mythological story of Ashoka's Nine Unknown Men with quantum physics. By doing this, the author manages to create a feeling of danger and urgency by making the apocalyptic scenario of the book seem realistic.

The book is extremely fast paced, although it is the first book by the author. If you don't mind mixing science fiction with history, then this book will definitely interest you.

What a splendid combination of Time Transition, Science, and Myth! This is a really suspenseful story that will indulge you from the very first incident. I love the writing and storytelling on the author’s part, and I love the amalgamation of genres that brought out a hooking story.

Too many characters and switching between timelines can confuse a reader profoundly. I enjoyed reading it, but it was also exhausting for me. Overall, will recommend it if you a fan of mystery, adventure, and solving puzzles. There are too many characters, but the author did a great part in developing a very individual personality for all of them.

The characters Sanjay and Ayush represents us, the layman who seek answers to some pertinent, questions. We get to more details about the scientific expedition that can be catastrophic to the humanity. It all began with their journey to find Shreya, Ayush's love interest.

The spectrum dish, laboratory, the way water shields them from losing their memory, all serves us the possibly best comprehensive sci-fi novel. The tension or alertness simmers in each chapter, that we eagerly embark on that adventerous expedition with the boys. The reference of Oppenheimer, King Ashoka and his reign, different Yugas make it even more awe-inspiring.

In every way, this novel is a testimony to the far reach of physics and technology, that have the potiential to overcome all the obstacles of time and space. Incorporation of Schrödinger cat theory and grandfather paradox made it even more enriching.

What starts as Ayush's affection for Shreya slowly turns into something much bigger, leading him to discover a strange mix of history, truth and science. I really liked how the book moves between the past and the present, gradually connecting the pieces and showing how Kulashekaran became the mastermind behind a major scientific breakthrough.
Three moments that really stayed with me were:
“Beliefs, religions, principles, they all spread through the fires of turmoil, not the whispers of calm.”
“Without grasping the limits of science and human intelligence, you're merely wandering in ignorance.”
“The world isn't always black and white. Sometimes even the most moral people make compromises they never thought possible.”
And then came the moment when I realised that Kulashekaran is actually AK, Anant Krishnan. That was a genuine “wait, WHAT?” moment for me. I had initially thought the past timeline was mainly there to explain the formation of Ratna and how the tradition was kept alive, but I ended up really enjoying the way the story was built around it.
The combination of science, history and mystery worked really well for me. There is a lot happening, and the story keeps revealing little pieces that make you want to continue reading.
I really enjoyed this one and I'm definitely curious to see where the story goes next.
