Wow that got me!

Okay this was a trainwreck! I was so.mad at.points I wanted to throw my kindle across the room. I almost woke up my husband to yell at him about the book and past grievances that came to me while reading this book but I didn't. I'm telling you this book is crazy! Crazy weird! And very angsty. I hated the heroine profoundly. This is a marriage in peril story which are my favorite if there is no cheating. She wants wealth and power, he wants kids. They were good together but things happen. I can't spoil this but this took me on an exhausting journey and its almost three in the morning and I need to go to sleep. Worth the read. Believe me.

Can Opposites Stay Connected?
Although I’m an avid reader of Women’s Fiction, romance, and suspense, who am I to judge which spouse is in the right when both husband and wife have logical arguments and genuine feelings about how their future as a couple is supposed to play out?
A Collision With Love by the talented author Tricia T. LaRochelle is a concise, wild ride starring a married couple deeply in love after eight years. Still, each party has separate desires and goals for the future of the marriage.
Oops…
Daniel is a gourmet chef (“everything about him is yummy,” says his wife) who owns a restaurant, thanks to the savings he and his wife Cassie have poured into his enterprise – money that was originally supposed to have been used for a decent downpayment on a new home. Because they currently reside in a tiny apartment, they’ve been waiting to start their family until they can provide a good home, but Cassie has other desires at heart.
Cassie is a work-driven attorney striving to become a senior partner in the firm, where she’s been employed for almost eight years. While her biological clock is running out and they do want to start a family, their finances keep getting in the way, as well as Cassie’s aspirations. Cassie’s dreams of scoring senior partner in her firm which would enable financial security enough to purchase that home. However, with Cassie’s career uppermost in her mind and Daniel’s heart set on having a child, sooner rather than later, their relationship begins getting rocky.
The day comes when Cassie worries her choices may drive her beloved husband away, but before she can ascertain her willingness to bend, and perhaps change her career, a surreal happenstance occurs that changes the course of their future.
As it often does, this discombobulates Cassie’s goals, puts Daniel on the defensive, and creates such chaos, that the reader doesn’t have a single clue as to what to expect next!
A Collison With Love is a wicked fun read, albeit very intense, and I adored the story. Ms. LaRochelle is not one to let her fans down – ever. I never suspected the outcome, and as people often say when reading suspense-filled creation, I never saw that one coming regarding the end. It was satisfying, a climax that made me laugh and cry, and I highly recommend it, as I do all of Tricia LaRochelle’s other books.
Five gold stars are awarded for a concise, rewarding, and well-thought-out tale that kept me guessing all the way through. I absolutely loved this book and you will too! Ms. LaRochelle, you crushed it!

Today was a day made for snuggling, but, unfortunately, they both had obligations. He was the chef at their restaurant, the Garden Patch. A major food critic was coming tonight he was hoping to wow with some new recipes and Daniel was reminding Cassie how important being there for him would be.

She needed to get to the law office where she was a junior partner. She had a meeting today that could snag the client that would ensure she made senior partner. She promised to get out of work on time all while wondering how many times he had repeated himself as his tone wasn't happy.

With him running the restaurant and her determination to make senior partner they didn't get as much private time and Daniel didn't understand why she was putting work as a higher priority than starting a family.

She is on her way to work and getting angrier and angrier the more she thought about their fight that morning and him walking away mumbling under his breath that he didn't know how much longer he could do it. He basically told her that if she wasn't interested in having a family he was going to rethink their marriage.

Why couldn't he understand she needed this job so they could afford a family?

This book was a major emotional rollercoaster for me. I love this author and her characters and I couldn't believe the wreck I was. I really was not liking the main character and her choices. I so wanted to reach through the pages and shake her.

And then it all clicked and man was this a journey! I have never been so shocked with a book twist. It was amazingly done and by the end of the story, I no longer hated one of my favorite authors.

This book is action-packed from start to finish and an emotional read that will definitely hit all of your emotions. If you have read anything by Tricia T LaRochlle in the past you know there is a dangerous conflict and major antagonist. The antagonist in this story is very shocking and makes you want to go back to the start to figure out how you missed the clues.

Highly recommend!

A Collision with Love by Tricia T. Larochelle

Cassie is a big-time lawyer who has been with Wilson & Bates for seven and a half years, her goal is to be senior partner.
She is on track to become partner, but her marriage is starting to be affected. In the beginning Daniel accepted it all - he knew he
married a brilliant woman, but as time wore on, she could see him struggle with being lonely and of her not being around.
Her goal senior partner - His goal a family.
Daniel is a hard-working chef at his own restaurant - and while Cassie has supported all of his dreams, he is starting to feel like she has become so obsessed
with becoming senior partner, she has lost track of their dreams.

When all of Cassie's free time gets eaten up by her work, Daniel starts to wonder if she will ever make time for him and for the family they both want.
Will their marriage be able to survive the drive that Cassie has for her job?
Will Daniel and Cassie be able to rebuild the strain that has become their marriage?

This was a great read! I always forget how much I love Tricia T. Larochelle's writing until the first few pages.
What a wild ride. I laughed, cried, was appalled and then laughed again.
This story is a wonderful second chance romance.

The characters are well written, and you can definitely see both sides of the marriage.
I truly loved every page of this book! Can't recommend enough!

One of the best book twists I have ever read!
Highly recommend!

**Little Spoilers** This was my first book by Tricia T. LaRochelle, and it did not disappoint. I loved Cassie and Daniel's story. It really took me on an emotional rollercoaster. My first impression was that Cassie came off as selfish putting her career before her husband and marriage. In most stories, it's the other way around. The husband is busy working and the wife is pushing to start a family. However, as the story progressed, there is validity in both of their viewpoints. You learn so much about them and how they met, fell in love, and grew as a couple. So many elements of the plots had me swooning, laughing, crying, angry, upset, hurt, and so much more. The feel good moments are the best. I was proud of Cassie for finally putting her foot down with her boss. Loved that Daniel was so supportive. Heartbroken that things were falling apart. But then OMG THE TWIST!!! I started to think something was coming, but that wasn't it. It's sooo good!! I was rooting for things to work out. This book isn't just about a second chance. It's a love story about two people who started off on the same page who are to keep their marriage on track although expectations, views, visions, and timelines changed. It was great to see them struggling and trying to balance making both of their dreams come true. They perserved in the end and stronger because of it. This made them very relatable in so many ways. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and highly recommend it.

Unique Plot

I'm struggling with this review as I don't want to spoil anything. There are some twists and turns you won't see coming!

A Collision With Love is about married couple, Daniel and Cassie Griffin. Daniel is a chef who recently opened his own restaurant. Cassie is a lawyer who works way too much trying to earn a Senior Partner position at her firm. They are in their mid-thirties and married 8 years.

The book starts with them arguing about children. Daniel wants them and doesn't want to wait anymore. Cassie wants to be a Senior Partner and more financially stable before they start.

I can't say much more. I was definitely into the plot the whole time though. I was pretty angry with the characters at times, when they were being selfish, not communicating, and not supporting each other. Cassie was pretty quick to say mean things and I wanted to slap her.

I promise though, they will both redeem themselves in the end. I didn't want it to end when it did though. There's a great epilogue but I wanted more of their resolution.

It is all in Cassie's POV which I was a bit annoyed with but it actually makes perfect sense.

Pretty low on the spice table. There are just a couple open door scenes but not a ton of description or details. Although I did notice it missing, I was honestly invested in their relationship that it didn't bother me at all.

I believe this is my first book by Tricia T LaRochelle and I'd be down for reading more.

LaRochelle delves into the heart of a fragile marriage, unearthing the raw complexities of love, ambition, and sacrifice in her compelling and emotionally charged latest novel. Cassie Griffin is on the brink of achieving her career dreams, but the growing pressure to start a family with her husband, Daniel, threatens to derail everything. A near-miss accident exposes the cracks in their marriage, forcing Cassie to confront an impossible choice: her career or her love. As her world unravels, she must decide what truly matters—and if having it all is worth the cost.

LaRochelle masterfully portrays a relationship shaped by love, tension, and unmet expectations. Cassie, ambitious yet torn between her career and marriage, grapples with self-doubt, while Daniel channels his frustrations into his work, his passion widening the distance between them. The narrative’s tension is heightened by Cassie's internal monologue, which vividly conveys her anxiety and self-doubt.

The scenes of confrontation between the couple are raw and authentic, showcasing the vulnerabilities and stubbornness that make them relatable and human. The narrative deftly balances personal stakes with themes of ambition, societal pressure, and compromise. A deeply personal yet universally relatable tale that draws you in and refuses to let go.

Ms. LaRochelle’s novel A Collusion With Love, keeps one gripped to their seat. As a reader, I love it when a tale holds me in its pages, and takes over, when I am excited enough to give a blow by blow narration to my husband as the story unfolds. A Collusion With Love did that and more. I identified with Cassie, and her insecurities about why Daniel (a dreamboat of a man) would love her, her lack of confidence in social settings, and her drive to be the best. Things aren't always what they seem.

As a lawyer, trying to earn Senior Partner Cassie, puts in way too much of herself into the job, while her time with Daniel gets shoved aside. Will she lose him?

The characters in this book are realistic, you feel as if you know them or have met someone like them somewhere. The story is mesmerizing, and yes, when Cassie has a near miss accident I found myself googling what her symptoms could be from. When the tale took a twist, my heart ached for both Cassie and Daniel, and I didn’t know how it could ever end with them finding each other again. I was heartbroken for her and shocked at the ending. Oh, not disappointed, just stunned. I loved this book by Tricia T. LaRochelle, and will reread it.

Having never read this authors work before this book had me hooked from the start. The characters are meaningful and have depth. Although from a single pov, Cassie describes her feelings and thought on how she is struggling with pressures from work, wanting a promotion and spending time with her husband with him wanting to start a family.

Cassie Griffin is a lawyer chasing a senior partner position and works long hours to prove to her bosses she is perfect for this position. However, something has to give and ultimately a course of events leads to cracks her marriage to restaurant owner, Daniel. They both have dreams and he wants to start a family though Cassie feels both financially and mentally she is not there yet. This book shows how something small can set off a chain of events that we never expect them to end the way they do. Emotion and fustration from both characters is all over the storyline and the plot twist at the end just sums up what this book is all about. Im so glad I got to read this and would 100% recommend. Added bonus was i already had some of her other books in my TBR list!!

I received this as an ARC and am leaving my own review

A Collision With Love was such a relatable book. It deals with a fragile marriage along with ambition to succeed in life. It was nice to see an author delve into the rawness of marriage. This book follows a young lawyer, Cassie and her chef husband, Daniel. Cassie thought she had it all… a loving husband, a prosperous marriage and the chance to be a senior partner at her law firm. Everything changes when Daniel wants to start their family. An accident causes Cassie to confront that pursuing one dream, may cost her the other. Will she be able to have everything she wants, or will Cassie be forced to choose?

Tricia carefully delves into the internal battles women go through when they decide to either pursue their career or start a family.

3.75 ⭐️ rounded up!

The FMC (Cassie) had me exasperated throughout this book. I didn't enjoy reading her as much as other readers but I also didn't hate it. Her husband (Daniel) deserved sainthood.

The plot of the story itself was pretty good. Cassie is driven by success and her relationships take a severe toll. She lost herself along the way and doesn't really find it until 80% in. I did enjoy the little Easter eggs that LaRochelle sprinkled throughout. I wouldn't say the ending was a shocker but I really didn't want Cassie to have an HEA for all the mess she put others through.

If you like second chance romance, boss babes, rags to riches stories, and general anxiety THIS IS YOUR BOOK.

I definitely would read another from the author and appreciate the ARC provided by Indie Pen PR.

If you love a good plot twist then this book is for you. The author is very detail oriented and at times the book reads like a narration and at some point when the MFC’s life becomes even more of a train wreck I’m like, “OMG I can’t read this anymore.” Not because it wasn’t good. It just that good that her life was too overwhelming even for me. But like a train wreck you can’t help looking at I kept on reading. Then my thoughts change to, “Well ship. I didn’t see that coming.” So there you have it. My emotions all over the board. Hope you enjoy 4 ⭐️ from me. I received the ARC from the author. This is my honest review @indie_pen_pr

Cassie is married to Daniel, and she is a workaholic who is focused on becoming a partner in the law firm she works for, but she knows the clock in ticking about starting a family. A near miss accident has Cassie facing having to make choices.
This is a well written easy to read story, which is raw and poignant emotional roller coaster, with engaging and relatable characters, which has making choices, humor, witty banter, heartbreak, twists, second chances, and love, which leads to an entertaining, tragic, unpredictable, and though provoking addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Oh my, I stayed in Daniel (chef) and Cassie (Junior Partner) world for days. This was such a great novel. Daniel’s motto was “People feel valued and understood.” Let’s have that baby! Cassie at the age of 36 worked at this law firm and wants so badly to make Partner. She was a night owl and her and her husband kept missing each other. Her motto was: I want to be able to afford a child properly, and not depend on others to take care of her family, but what a risk.
Fast paced, realistic, love story. This novel needs a continuation to have you thinking about more 1-5 years later. You have to read it to understand. Bravo

A collision with love is one of those stories that will cause you to break along with Cassie and Daniel. Cassie is so career focused and all Daniel wants is to start a family. When tragedy strikes and Cassie needs to make decisions between the love and her life and her career does Cassie make the right decisions? This story will have you on the edge cause there emotional parts that will have you in tears and other parts that will have you trying to figure out where Cassie and Daniel will take you. This book even had me looking at my lite and help me find my way. You will not regret one moment with reading this book. Another home run Tricia!!! Can’t wait to read what else you come out with.

Cassie and Daniel's story is something that many couples go through in their lives. They're married and in love, but they seem to be drifting apart from each other. They both want the same things, but Cassie wants to wait, while Daniel is all in now. When something happens to Cassie that affects her down to her core, she starts to see things in a different light. This is a gripping story that will touch your soul, and make you put things into perspective. I love Tricia T. La Rochelle's books, and I highly recommend A Collision With Love.

This is the best story I have ever read. The story held me captive, even when I wasn’t reading it. The main characters were so well developed that I felt like they were old friends of mine. I became so invested in how the story was unfolding and I have to admit I didn’t expect where it went but I absolutely loved every second of reading it. While I hate when a good book ends, I feel like I’ll just run into Cassie in Carytown and catch up with an old friend sometime. What a treat this was to read.

HOLY SHIT! I did not see that ending coming! This book had me on my toes. I was able to read it in one day. I highly recommend this. This book threw me into a world I know all too well, being taken advantage of for being competent and good at what you do, the catch being what could you lose? This book outlines what is at stake and reminds you what is important...or should be prioritized for your own mental health.
Triggers: partner cheating, car accident, work slavery

Brilliant and Masterful are the words that come to mind when I reflect on this amazing story. Tricia T LaRochelle has been elevated from Wordsmith to StorySpinning Wizard in my opinion. This story is both captivating and compelling with many surprises that kept me up late at night reading many extra pages. I would rate this author right up there with the best of Lisa Wingate and Maeve Binchy. You won’t want to miss this adventure in reading!

Arc : Loved how the story gripped me from the first few pages , Cassie and Daniel had various ups and downs , that left me willing them to power through it all and have a happy ever after, on having an argument, and Cassie driving to work and being involved in an accident ,and how the story played out from this event. I loved how the whole book had you captivated giving both sides. I particularly loved the ending few chapters, so much so I have already re read it . Highly recommended

Have to say this is my favorite novel by Tricia LaRochelle! Once again, I was kept totally engrossed by the story that it took me less than 24 hours to read. Tricia can create the most memorable characters like Cassie. This story makes you feel a part of the lives of Cassie and Daniel. And of course, the ending totally caught me by surprise! Another great job, Tricia!

When everything is and isn't as it seems . . .

Cassie believes her dream is to become a senior partner at the law firm where she works, and once that happens everything will fall into place. Her husband's dream is to start a family.

There's plenty of conflict and tension in this romance and a major plot twist at the end. Travel from Virginia to London and back as Cassie discovers what truly matters.

Life is a constant cycle of twist and turns. You can never truly predict how things will play out. This book showed when you let yourself get so wrapped up in one area of your life you forget to enjoy the small moments in time that bring you the true meaning of happiness. This was such a beautiful emotional love story that gave you all the feels. The never knowing what was to happen next made the story so much more appealing! Highly recommend!!!!!!

Wow! What a journey this book takes you on. Cassie is a hardworking, dedicated attorney looking to make partnership. Dan is a chef who uses produce from his own garden, trying to make healthy food for people and wanting nothing more than family with his wife. Two vastly different people who love one another. Cassie struggles to get it all while she misses out on her life. A roller coaster ride, this book is definitely worth the read! I truly enjoy Tricia's writing.

It's two people having a vision for the future and a deep love for each other but it's "what happens when the love is undeniable but the goals aren't the same?". It was an emotional rollercoaster to read about these two and gosh I rooted for things to fall into places and it's such a real struggle that so many people go through it was nice to read about it!
