Marco and Melissa broke up when he left left to pursue an internship in New York, choosing his career over her. Years later, she is ready for a fresh beginning and starts her new marketing analyst position for Stocke Fantasy Resorts, not realizing she now works for Marco, the owner of the company! His strict no-dating policy for employees will make things awkward. She was unaware that Marco had seen her crying in her office but didn’t pry. She had just gotten the news her father had Stage III cancer and was dying. It was okay! With all the 4 and 5 star ratings I expected more, though (possible spoilers ahead)
The plot was simple- H & h had been in a relationship when they were 19. H chose his job over her.
7 or 9 years later (sorry can’t remember which) h goes to work at a new company and finds out H is her boss. At first, they are angry with each other but within a few days they do some spicy stuff.
h finds out her dad has cancer. H and h decide to pretend they are getting married. She ends up pregnant with twins. HEA

I felt both of them were very monotone. The whole book was a little bland to me. The spice wasn’t even that spicy.
h was like a 28 years old and she was still a virgin. There was no OW/OM drama but it did sound like H was a bit of a playboy during their time apart. I just never felt like he loved her. He supposedly was thinking about her for all those years but never ONCE reached out to her? I just never really felt the chemistry between the MCs.
I couldn’t understand the whole HR parts with the company. It was his company. He could have just consulted an attorney and got her to sign papers saying she was in a relationship with him. 🤷♀️ The going “remote” to work was just wack. She was so into her career but in her POV she was thinking she wouldn’t work since she was having twins. Umm, so she gave up her career?

Melissa Pierce’s first day in her job as the new lead marketing lead for Stocke Fantasy Resorts, a day she believed was the beginning of a new life for herself, didn’t go the way she expected. She was shocked when Marco Stocke walked into the staff meeting to welcome her. Melissa and Marco were a couple until he left seven years prior to complete an internship. Their once loving relationship was now a lovers to enemies relationship, all laid out in technicolor as the two duked it out in front of the staff in the meeting. Fast forward to Melissa’s father getting diagnosed with cancer, a fake dating/engagement arrangement, and some pesky HR policies forbidding in-office dating, and life got complicated quickly as their relationship changed to an enemies to lovers relationship. This story was between two very stubborn individuals who eventually showed up for each other when needed. I recommend this book to readers that enjoy angsty, emotional slow burn, second chance, steamy romance stories.

TWIN BABIES FOR MY EX by Amelia Perry is a second chance romance for Marco and Melissa who never expected their paths to cross again so many years later. Told by each of them in alternating chapters they have so many obstacles to get through especially when she takes a job in his company and he’s her boss.
They definitely take one step forward and many more back as they often let their lust play out. But will they really be able to keep their attraction and more out of the workplace and away from prying eyes? Throw in the possibility of a fake engagement due to family circumstances, and neither one knows which end is up.
The story has a good flow with multiple stories being told. There's lots of loving, steamy moments, surprises, hard work, romance, some lies they thought were necessary, family and friends and ultimately, love. The story has closure with their happily ever after nicely portrayed, but I wish it went on just a little longer. The story just seemed to end too abruptly.

Melissa and Marco and the physical attraction between them was sexual tension. The chemistry between them was captivating and spicy romance. It was a page turner and the suspense was intense. I was on the verge of my seat and I couldn't even put it down. They couldn't fight the temptation any longer as they gave into the passion of that one night will change her life forever. Could they rekindle the romance once again after all these years has passes. Will he find out the truth her pregnancy when they run into each other in this moment . Or could she do him a favor of being his fake wife in his business journey. Will he accepted her children's as his own when he find out this secret.

My ARC review- First off, I could not stop reading.. This had me interested! Second, I love Angel, she is a real best friend.. I think Melissa and Marco are the right people but they got together at the wrong time. They dated in college, but broke then up. Years later they both realize that old feelings arise. Marco is amazing! He doesn't push Melissa to do something she doesn't want to do. I love that! I am not happy with Melissa when she just pushes Marco away, she is pregnant by him and she should talk to him about it. They both are in this! They should have communicated better! SMH! Melissa and Marco were both keeping their feelings quiet, they should have just been truthful.. But in the end, this was a really good book. You get into it and don't want to stop reading.

This book was interesting enough to keep me reading. Albeit somewhat predictable, it still managed to convey the love between Melissa and Marcus quite well. Their sidekicks, Angel and Peter were a nice addition to the story. These characters were so believable I even wanted to shake them a bit at times. When they finally achieved their long-awaited HEA I actually breathed a sigh of relief. The main catalyst for pushing them forward in their journey was a little disheartening for me and I was secretly hoping for a more positive resolution, but life happens and it did lend more credibility and reality to this book.

Marco and Melissa are immersed in love in high school ( puppy love?). After graduating Marco made a difficult decision that he felt was best for him, not them. I liked that they were both nice, likable characters trying to live their best life. Fate has a way of intervening in your world when you least expect it. Amelia Perry did an outstanding job of integrating fate into this story. Reconnecting is a beautiful thing. You have to read to understand what Marco and Melissa go through to become the couple they end up being.

When you are needing a really good romance book to sit back and enjoy reading give Melissa and Marco a spin. Both of these characters are hardheaded and full of resentment, but once they get past all of that things begin to change and for Melissa in more than a few ways. This is a WONDERFUL romantic must read 5/5-star book by Amelia and I am really impressed with the storyline and how the book ended.

I like the story. I do feel like there are a couple holes in the plot, but overall it was good. It could use just a little more editing before being released. I LOVE a good second chance romance and pregnancy trope. This delivered on both.

This is a heartfelt and emotional second chance romance. I was in my feels with this one. Great characters and the storyline is beautiful. Amelia Perry has definitely become a favorite and I can't wait to read more. Highly recommend reading this book.

Omg this had me dialed in hardcore. Love how she wanted to start fresh with someone new. Well not what she pictured to find her love interest to be with her ex fiancée brother. Especially twins with him. But damn their chemistry was connected all the time. Loved how he was willing to drop everything for her and move for her.

Loved reading the fabulous and fantastic romance story. When Melissa starts her new job, she does not expect her boss to be, Marco, the man who broke her heart into a million pieces. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and a must read riveting love story.

A nice story.
It was a simple story where everything works out in the end. It was just a funny twist on everything a little cliche at times but a very short read for if you want a break from your normal reads.

This is an enemies to lovers novel at it's core. Melissa has always had feelings for Marco but life happens and they lose touch. Faith decides to step in when she is hired at his company and they are forced to work together and in doing so they re- hash their past. This book is ultimately about second chances and wanting to make up for past mistakes. It is a fast, easy read. I enjoyed it!

I enjoyed this book so much. The second chance theme is one of my favorites. You can feel the building up till the last page. The emotions came right of the page. A steamy romance but tastefully done.
