Likes: Alexander has quite a dirty mouth! And he's so incredibly sweet and supportive of Francesca 💕

Dislikes: Francesca's interactions with her parents felt very teenage-angsty. But she is young, in her early 20s, so she's not all that mature yet. And Alexander didn't handle things well with his son.

Because the story is so short, the attraction between her and Alexander escalates very quickly, which makes it feel less realistic. But it was still an enjoyable taboo read!

Okay, so for me, the 'boyfriend's dad' trope wasn't it. They weren’t actually together—just fück buddies—so I think it's a bit misleading. Hence, the 3 ⭐ rating. 🫣

However, aside from that, I liked the story. It was hot and fast-paced.

But Alex definitely isn’t winning Dad of the Year anytime soon. 😬😬😬

There wasn’t a thing I didn’t enjoy about this book- other than the length- but by now we all know how i feel about novellas and always wanting more.. But I digress….
When I tell you i laughed out loud and hard with one particular scene in this, I am not exaggerating. Let’s just say- it’s not frosting Nick!! Hahahaha great read!! Fast paced, decent smut. Winning!

The smut was finger-licking good and the romance was sweet but the issues with the bf/son left a bitter taste in my mouth. Nick was a man-child who didn't appreciate his dad's sacrifices to raise him and couldn't care less to be more attentive to his "girlfriend". Idk why FMC is referred to as his girlfriend when they both established they didn't have a serious relationship and it's just a fling. While the book wrapped up the romance really nicely, we're still left with so many questions regarding the relationship between the MMC and his son. Wished we got closure on that.

Effie came in hot with this one. Like honey yesss, I love an age gap but it’s even more delicious when it’s your “boyfriend’s” dad. And when that dad has a magical tongue, a dirty mouth, and a thing for praising you… I’m on my knees okay.

This was a short, sweet, delicious and oh so f*kn hot read. I devoured it in one sitting and 10/10 suggest you run and add this baby to your TBR. Alex is the man of all of our dreams… I’m just saying what you’re thinking.

If you want a book that is short but filthy and sweet, then this book is for you.

Francesca has dreams, but her parents have other ideas for her future, the shadows of their career suffocating her.

She engages in a summer fling with Nick, to pass the time until she goes back to school.

That all changes when she meets Alexander, Nick’s father. He knows that she’s his son’s girlfriend, but to him she’s both tempting yet perfect, and he sees the way his son treats her, and he won’t stand idly by.

Because Alexander treats Francesca like the woman she is, he sees her, he builds her up, encouraging her to follow her dreams , to be her own person, not only that Alexander shows his son Nick what he’s missing out on, having zero regrets with giving her what she needs in the bedroom, cause boy does Alexander deliver.

Those smexy scenes were downright steamy, deliciously hot, sinfully wicked, spicy, dirty and depraved.

There HEA was perfect and on point.

Obsessed

Oh, my, Alexander!

Okay, so every book in this series I've gone, "This is it. It's the best." And with every new release of the series I'm proven absolutely wrong! And like every one before it, this was the best!

Alex and Fran's connection was instant and delicious. Considering "boyfriend's dad" was more of an ex summer hook up and dad is only 15 years older than her, but it doesn't take away from the deliciousness that is this book and the plot.

Chapter 10 and the frosting...I squeaked and then died. I died. My soul left my body. Effie always finding ways of killing me oh so softly.

The story and connection between the two of them was actually really sweet. They made it work and it might've started as instalove on his end (more like instalust on both their ends), but they actually put in the time (and distance) by the end to prove it's more.

Fran is strong and finally stands up for herself and Alex is just...perfect lol

This novella is a short and sweet story about a young college woman at her vacation home with her parents for a summer. It's your typical hot summer and there's only one way for her to cool down during the day. The boy next door is a lazy freeloading gamer that she's using for company and AC. He barely looks up from his game to acknowledge her presence. Enter his dad. This is where things get steamy. I liked it! I like everything I've read from Effie so far and currently I own her entire collection. However, I haven't read all the books yet. I know I'm slacking. There's two scenes, the first one on the jetty and the second in the kitchen. I was on the edge of my seat waiting for them to be found out. I would've liked to see more almost found out scenes lol. Other than that Effie thank you once again for another banger!

I’ve really enjoyed the Hot Creeps series from Effie Campbell. I especially liked this entry into the series.

I was both amused and felt seen with Francesca- Frankie’s- fling with lakeside neighbor Nick— he’s cute and his place has air conditioning, and Frankie is bored, trying to get away from annoying parents, and melting in the summer heat. Never mind that Nick’s attention is primarily on his online gaming and that he’s basically phoning in the mediocre $ex.

Alex- Nick’s dad- however, knows exactly how to touch a woman and give her his attention. Honestly, it’s delicious. So when Alex shows up, things get very hot and very interesting. I think he might be my favorite of the Hot Creeps!

If you like a little humor, emotion, age gap, spicy scenes on the page, and happy ever afters then you’ll enjoy this!

This is definitely the sweetest story in this series.

Francesca and Alexander have good chemistry. I enjoyed the scenes where we see them "dating", doing couples stuff and being sweet.
There's some drama with her parents and his son/ her ex-booty call, but there's no big moments with angst.
A pretty good read for people who are looking for a short, steamy novella to cleanse their palates.

I didn’t think I was going to like it once I got more info about the relationship and how it came about but this was done so well and I honestly loved the dynamic between the two of them. Another steamy, sweet, HOT creeps story from Effie Campbell!

When Francesca is wasting away the summer with the loser next door, who is better to steal her attention and treat her right than his hot dad Alexander?

These short stories are fast paced, kinky, but oh so sweet at the same time! Alexander is obsessed from the moment he meets Francesca, and is determined to make him hers - I really enjoyed this novella and can’t wait for ‘Such a Bad Girl’ to complete the series!

My only issue is a wish we got a bit more continuation on Alexander’s relationship with his son just to finalise things a bit!

I really enjoyed this one, it’s a nice, quick and easy read. I enjoyed the character’s, our female main character definitely has some growth from when we first meet her. The spice level was perfect for the length of the book and it balanced so nicely with the plot that was there. The writing flows so nicely and the dual POV gives it that added layer, that works to give the characters that added layer and the chemistry between them to feel stronger. The perfect little read for the smut lovers out there.

I found Effie's books last year and have been eating them up ever since! This "Hot Creeps" series is everything! If you're worrying about your reading goals or are experiencing a reading slump, welcome to the cure! These short novellas are spicy fun with different kinks explored in each book.
This book focuses on age gap and sneaking around because it is the father of her summer fling and next door neighbor.
There are some scenes in here that had my heart pounding because of the almost getting caught but also cause they're so perfectly spicy. I felt like the other ones had more of a creepy feel from the men but I really liked the MMC Alex, he felt like a normal guy to me.. maybe that means I'm around more creeps than normal? I won't be looking into it. The FMC, Francesca, was more on the innocent side so all of the different things Alex did were pretty much new to her. She admits that she's used to just "normal" spicy time and Alex said he would show her universes and he definitely did. She's so used to everyone ignoring her and finally finds someone who appreciates her, and defiles her. A perfect combination!
