She was broken by their cruelty. He was bound by his duty.

After months as a prisoner to the Voletti, her body experimented on, her spirit broken, Sarina resigned herself to an inevitable end.
Until the day he found her.
Uzar, a disciplined and honorable warrior of the Ixul Protectorate, rescues her. And Sarina finds herself healing aboard a Protectorate ship — and at the center of a profound, unexpected connection.
When Uzar reveals they are fated mates, Sarina is overjoyed. But his sudden withdrawal leaves her confused and hurt. Unaware of the primal struggle consuming him, she soon learns that their bond demands more than mere emotional connection—and that Uzar’s fierce protection might be the very thing keeping them apart.
When Sarina’s only chance of fully healing forces them to seek help on Uzar’s rigid, unwelcoming homeworld, love, and loyalty clash with his people’s unyielding laws.
Together, they must navigate not just the stars, but the intense, uncharted territory of their bond—and the challenges that threaten to keep them apart.

Uzar is a slow-burn, steamy romance about love, healing, and defying the odds to create your own destiny.

Uzar believed he would never have a life fulfilled by a fated mate (aka pacai) until he rescued Sarina from the Voletti. She was among several females of different races that had been kidnapped and experimented on with the goal of being incubators for the Voletti. Although outwardly she healed from their vile experiments on her body, she had been internally violated, requiring the advanced healing techniques of Uzar's people on the planet Graacux. But there was a problem. Many years ago, the people of Graacux shut themselves off from the rest of the galaxy that became the Protectorate Force of planets. They did not welcome outsiders, and Sarina was human. The Council refused to provide the medical assistance she desperately needed, and it was up to Uzar to convince them otherwise before Sarina's condition worsened further. This is a tense but tender story of a deep love and strong connection between two different races. Uzar and Sarina need each other to fulfill their destinies and will fight old traditions and those who uphold them for the chance at a full life, together.

Very well written with a lot of emotional dialog. Highly recommend.

Uzar is the fourth book in the author’s Protectorate Warriors series and another highly entertaining sci-fi romance.
MFC Sarina who has been held prisoner and experimented on by the cruel alien Voletti for months is rescued when the Protectorate raid their base on a frozen moon.
Uzar finds her caged but still alive amongst the rubble and brings her aboard his Protectorate ship the Quinlar for medical attention.
There she begins the healing process only to find out her body has sustained severe trauma and the only way for her to heal completely is on Uzar’s home world of Graacux, known for their miraculous healing technologies.
But the one thing Uzar cannot or will not admit to himself is that more than duty has him protective of Sarina, it may just be a mate bond.
Their story soon cascades into a slow-burn swirl of emotions, personal vulnerabilities, spice, intrigue, and defying the odds in a nicely written heartfelt journey where love definitely finds a way.

This is the next book in the Protectorate Warriors Fated Mates series. It features Sarina who in a prison and pretty much resigning herself to her fate. Uzar comes to her rescue though they still have to find a place to heal and find acceptance from his home world.

Even though this wasn’t nearly as thrilling and fabulous as the first 2 books in the series, it was still fine enough. Nothing magical but definitely readable. Just fell flat for some reason. It was hard to really care about the main characters very much but I can’t explain exactly why.
