They say opposites attract, but for Kera and Lucian, their hearts beat in perfect rhythm, even though they come from two completely different worlds. Stuck in a dead-end marriage filled with more than just broken promises, Kera is suffocating under the weight of domestic violence. When Lucian discovers her pain, it ignites a fire within him. Determined to protect her at all costs, he’s ready to fight for her freedom and prove that love doesn’t have to hurt.
Ace built his life on loyalty—dedicated to being a good husband, father, and man. But after Danni betrayed their marriage vows, divorce seemed like the only way out. Now, Danni is torn between lingering feelings for her husband and the temptation of her side piece, while Ace finds unexpected peace in Erin’s arms.
Erin, still healing from her past, isn’t looking for love. But when her path crosses with Ace, the chemistry is undeniable. Together, they’re learning to trust again, determined not to let their broken histories define their future.
For Sevyn, love hits different with Zane. After giving her all to the wrong man, Zane’s devotion is a breath of fresh air. With his steady love and unwavering support, Sevyn is stepping fully into her soft girl era, finally realizing what it means to be cherished.
But loving a member of the Country Boyz Cartel comes with its challenges. These Southern men are all about their money, their women, and their respect, and they’ll stop at nothing to protect what’s theirs. For Kera, Erin, and Sevyn, the journey to love is anything but easy—but when the stakes are high, only the strongest survive.
If you’re a fan of "The Devil Wears Baccarat" by Jatoria C, or "Tall Red Dude With Tattoos" by Taniece, you’ll be hooked on this gritty, passionate, and unforgettable story. "The Wives of the Country Boyz Cartel 2" by Kelsi is unputdownable.
Now I know where all the good men are… they hiding in the country…chile somebody take me to Bama… I cannot believe this ending and damn my baby Ace is down bad I didn’t think it could get worse but hopefully Janae and Erin can pull him back from a dark place… I love Zane and Sevyn… I can’t wait for Kera to make a full recovery and her and Lu find their happy place and I definitely want to know what’s next for Nine… book three here I come
This book was so good. It was just the right amount of drama. The author is doing the Thang with this series. It is a must-read that you will not be disappointed Patiently waiting !!!
I loved book 1 and the book very much gave middle book... more details that didn't really add and more characters POV that didn't enhance the story. I will be looking forward to book 3. I will say that the best parts are the guys reactions.
There is so much I love about this author's writing that keeps me grabbing the next book in the series immediately. The characters are engaging, sexy, and funny. They love their women intensely, and l love the camraderie of the brothers, and the Black brothers. The women are interesting in their own right and have a lick of sense. All great things, however a few things keep these books from being five stars for me.
1) I am literally the only person I've seen mention this so, even though I checked it three times, I think I'm just misunderstanding things. Someone, pls explain. At the end of Book 1 (Page 189), Ace , so HOW at the start of Book 2 (page 19) is Danni pulling up to the house . Huh?? This leads me to the other things that annoy me about these storylines. So King's gf is just living in a taped-off crime scene house with zero police presence?? Make it make sense.
2) Similar things took away from the story for me. They can have the jet anywhere, ready to go, in 15mins; I totally cheered Zane going after Malik and getting him to drop the lawsuit but then we had to ruin the scene by having the Blackwell brothers ROLLS.EYES.HARD!! Like, stop. Please. Do we even understand how these things work, and how long they take
Them Blackwell brother's don't play about their women. They will go to the end of the earth about them. Kera is a sweetheart. I can see why Lucian wild ass was smitten with her. I was so glad Kera was able to escape Juan because the way he constantly beat on her. She probably would've ended up dead. Lucian, Ace, and Zane expected a war after what they did to Juan but I'm sure they didn't expect something to happen while them, Erin, and Sevyn was helping out Kera at her bakery and she ended up hurt. Lucian was damn near about to crash out. Black and his brother Nine seems more like Ace, Lucian, and Zane brother's more than her best friend. They definitely had each other back. When Black was talking to Nine about him needing to leave Mo alone and just coparent. I understood where he was coming from. Mo was toxic. Nine had to learn the hard way though and he definitely learned. Mo better be glad Nine didn't kill her but when the fool killed her cat and took it to Ling Ling at the Chinese Restaurant. I fell tf out laughing hard as hell. I couldn't do anything but shake my head at Danni. Even after screwing up her and Ace marriage by cheating on him with King bum ass. She went looking for King not knowing he was no longer amongst the living. Danni didn't even realize that King was playing her before he died until his girlfriend told her but even after learning the truth. Danni actions showed just how much of a snake she really was. Plotting with Sheriff Jones bitter and miserable ass was the wrong move. Sheriff Jones was a piece of s**t. I knew he was heartless when he basically forced Kera to marry Juan and knowing that man was beating on her and I really knew he was sick in the head after he told Ace, Lucian, and Zane why he really killed their friend Rod. The secret he dropped on the brother's left them in shock. Hell I was shocked asf too and was side eyeing their mother. Mrs. Blackwell have a story to tell and I can't wait to hear it. I didn't feel sorry for what happened to Sheriff Jones. Danni giving Emilio Alvarez information on the Blackwell's was definitely scandalous. Emilio wanted revenge for his son Juan but Juan was exactly where he needed to be. I thought Terrance had went on about his business when Erin left him after finding out he was cheating and had a baby on the way. Evidently Terrance wanted to be petty. I was laughing hard asf when Ace showed up and left Terrance in tears. It's a good thing that Ace and Eric wasn't left bitter after what their exes did to them. Ace and Erin actually make a good couple. I think part three is going to be a helluva book. Black and Nine cousin Teflon and his friend have joined the crew. Sevyn and Zane really ain't had no drama in their relationship but I have a feeling Sevyn ex Malik is still somewhere lurking. Ace thought that they have gotten ridden of all their enemies but Emilio Alvarez still have two son's and a wife living. The way this ended. Someone else is definitely coming after the Blackwell family
This story was disappointing to me for several reasons. While the introduction showed potential and the characters were likable, the plot ultimately felt boring, drawn-out, and nonsensical. I didn’t see meaningful development or improvement from any of the characters, which made the narrative fall flat.
The Dominican cartel storyline lacked depth and was resolved far too quickly. The situation with Jones and Mama was frustrating—if Jones is portrayed as a terrible person who sold his own child, why would anyone consider him a suitable partner for their mother? How would that suffering be justified just to gain a brother? That logic simply doesn’t hold up.
Danni was delusional and embarrassing throughout. The unresolved storyline with the longtime girlfriend of the man she was having an affair with felt inconsistent. For a story that repeatedly emphasized how "bossed up" and "lethal" these characters were, it made no sense to leave that loose end hanging. The murder of the well known sheriff, threatening a lawyer, the kidnapping and murder of a Dominican cartel member and a bunch of other erratic decisions, just felt misplaced. The actions didn’t align with the supposed reputation of these top bosses and cartel leaders.
Additionally, the Chinese stereotype was unnecessary, ignorant, and added nothing of value to the plot. Stories like these should strive for complexity without resorting to harmful clichés. I would have also appreciated more focus on the FMCs and their lives instead of centering solely on the male characters' chaotic choices.
This ending just slid me to the edge of my seat. I'm not sure who could have set Race's lounge on fire but I but my bet on one of Juan's brothers still being alive. If it was him he should have just took the loss and minded his business cause now he got a first class trip to a family reunion. Ion feel bad for Danni cause she should have never crossed Ace like that. I do feel bad for her daughter tho. I just lovvveee Nine. I was ROFL when he bag up the cat and took it to LingLing😂😂😂😂. I can't wait to see how the rest of this drama unfolds and why their mother gave up her first born.💞💞
I won’t be continuing to the last book. I don’t mind multiple POVs but there were more added that didn’t really seem necessary. As the story continued the characters just kept making more obvious horrible choices.
And the part about the cat was hella offensive. I’m surprised that an editor, beta reader, or ARC reader didn’t bring that up.
I’m choosing to end with this book because it seems to be dragging at this point. As always, just because it wasn’t for me doesn’t mean it won’t be for someone else.
First I wanna ask where did you find these unhinged ninjas. I don't know who has the most screws loose Lu or Nine. How he gonna kill her cat and drop it off to Ling Ling? Needless to say I don't want no more Chinese food. These men had me laughing throughout the whole book. So Danni decided that her side piece was worth more than her husband. She act as if Ace did her wrong. Now they got beef elsewhere. When will they get their happily ever after?
Part 2 was good but I’m wondering who burned Ace lounge down I wonder if Jones is still alive? They really didn’t double check to make sure he was actually dead but it could also be Terrence ass too. Danni was really an idiot gon go and snake Ace and end up losing her life crazy how karma do you. I know part 3 gone be crazy.
I was getting upset thinking the ending was a bit rushed but then HOLD UP cus the way you just bust that surprise left at the end !?? I was not expecting it .. what is going on now you got me confused and excited!
I love the way these men love on these woman and all the uplifting and genuine words they speak into them . Keep it coming Kelsi !!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️|🌶️🌶️ I feel like the story line is good but it’s still all over the place. All the different POV that was added was not really needed. The story also could’ve ended in this book but it’s dragging on. I also wish the spice wasn’t incomplete throughout the story. Overall I laughed throughout and think this Author has potential! 💖
I'm really enjoying this second installment of "Wives Of The Country Boyz Cartel." The brothers' stories continue to intrigue me, but some chapters just droned on and on, and on! Many parts seemed unnecessary. Teflon's chapter could have been omitted. It brought nothing to the story. This is not to say I didn't love the book!
I loved how you kept all the brothers circle close and how they protected their family. But i knew from the middle of this book there was going to be a part 3. Can't wsit for it tp come out
I knew Ace would disrespect his mom. I am sure she had her reasons because Jones was a crook. I can't believe someone burned down his lounge. They means he still has enemies. I hope everything works out for him and his family. Great Read.
Wow I did not see the story of A-Rod coming. Ace really did not handle the lost of Rod,his Dad and Dani. Kiera loved Lu. All these cowboys found love, but what happens next.
I was really enjoying this series until the author was ignorant & prejudice. The whole Chinese people eating/cooking cats stereotype is ignorant, so to include it in your book is wild. That took away a star on my rating. Do better!
This book was kind of drawn out at the beginning but started to pick up near the end then just ended with a cliffhanger . I can’t wait to see what happen in part 3
