The Forever: A zombie apocalypse romance

Rate this book
Book three, the final instalment in the WHEN THE WORLD FELL series

LIV

After all that we’ve endured, the dream of making it to Bridgehill has often felt unattainable—but we're so close now, I can almost touch it, and the thought makes me uneasy.

With Cruz by my side, and my new family around me, I can't wait to breathe the sea air and experience the true feeling of security. I want to be settled, to find meaning in a life where everything we once loved was obliterated just two short years ago.

All I can hope for is that our group makes it there alive. Beyond that, I'll take each challenge as it comes, knock down anyone who gets in my way, and keep loving Cruz, the man who's quickly become the best part of my life.

༺✿ '𝐓H𝐄 𝐅O𝐑E𝐕E𝐑'༺✿ Is the final instalment within the 'World Fell Series' by author Elle Richards. Spoken in 'Dual perspectives.' This picks up where the previous book left off, continuing Liv and Cruz' story.

This was the perfect ending to a perfectly executed series, I was invested from the very first book, and couldn't get enough, the highs and lows, the fight for survival, the friendships they forged along the way, the love and togetherness as a group as they strived to find a safe place to lay down roots wrung out all the feels.

All the hardships faded away as they found their safe haven binding them together even stronger than they were before.

I loved these characters..

I’m so excited to see what the author has install for us as she embarks on a new series.

Now that I’ve read all three books in the series, I feel like this could have been one somewhat-long book instead of three and it would have helped the pacing. Nothing too extraordinary happens in this final installment, just kind of more of the same that’s happened in the previous two books til they find their HEA. I love the characters and the series as a whole, I’m just not sure there was enough action to sustain three separate books. But I really enjoyed the series overall!

3.5 stars. I liked this series as a whole. Didn't really have a favorite of the 3, and honestly it was basically one book just cut into 3 parts. I said it in one of my previous reviews--I don't consider this a romance. It's more action thriller with a couple. The MCs couple up fairly quickly in the series. It's not giving butterflies or even that slow burn feeling. The author has skills, but it lacks the romantic feels. And I'm wondering if that wasn't her intention anyway and the publisher perhaps decided to market it as a romance? Anyway, it was still a fun read. The characters were smart and pragmatic. Felt realistic too. I'm a sucker for post-apocalyptic stories, so I really liked it.

What a wonderful ending to a great series. This one was my favorite of the three. So thrilled to hear the author is working on another series. I love her style and fast-paced writing. These books kept me engaged and entertained and I loved her characters. Ro is my spirit animal ❤️ and Cruz is just *chefs kiss*

Last but not least - great wrap up

A great ending to the series. I loved seeing how the community grew and evolved – it felt hopeful while still staying true to the rough reality of the world. A satisfying finish. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

The Forever de Elle Richards Serie When the World Fell libro 3

Argumento:

Liv

The perfect book boyfriend does not ex... hold up! He does exist, and his name is Cruz Murphy.

This book is the perfect conclusion to an incredibly entertaining trilogy in what has become one of my favorite genres. Both the hero and heroine are strong and highly likable characters. I often gravitate toward bad boy anti-heroes, but I’d be hard-pressed to place Cruz in that category. He’s a great guy—proof that good guys can be sexy. In fact, I can’t think of a single downside to him. He’s as close to perfection as they come, always knowing exactly what to say. And he’s yummy!

Liv (Olivia) is my favorite kind of female heroine... strong, capable, and kind, yet willing to take down anyone who threatens those she loves. I appreciate a female lead who doesn’t feel the need to diminish men to prove her strength.

As for the rest of the cast, I wish this weren’t the final book in the series because I’d love to see where life takes them.

The only thing that could have made this series better—besides being longer—is more sexy scenes between Liv and Cruz. I simply couldn’t get enough of this pair and I'm missing them already.

HEA! Thank goodness, I have developed trust issues from authors flinging unexpected tragedies at me, so I 100% did not expect the ending to be as smooth as it was. As per my last review, I wish we had some more character development for some of the side characters that have been added in. We did get a few more moments with Gage and Remy to define their personalities, but Ellie, Tae, and Willow were basically added NPCs. I would not mind if the author stretched out the books to add more detail to the characters, so we could really feel that close knit family group bond that they were developing.

Loved the spicy scenes with Liv & Cruz, I think I was just happy that they finally went all the way! Cruz was frustrating me with his silly no sex rule in the second book.

Also, I completely forgot while reading that they are in Australia, so when the kangaroo flew at the window, I experienced quite a shock. :O

Overall, a nice quick read! I would definitely be interested in reading other stories by this author. It would be nice to have some side stories on the other characters, or even characters we haven't met in the same universe.

IDK IF IT'S BECAUSE I WAS OBSESSED… like, deranged-level obsessed… but I devoured these books like a starving woman who found a gluten-free buffet after a lifetime of rice cakes. I flew through them. No breaks. No water. No blinking. Just vibes and drama.

BUT LISTEN… THE TRILOGY?? Be honest—this could’ve been one book. One thick, emotionally chaotic, soul shattering BIBLE of love, angst, and “WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS?!” moments. But no, we were fed in episodes like emotional Netflix… and I still ate every crumb. 🫠

AND THAT ENDING???
EXCUSE ME, I NEED MORE OF LIV AND CRUZ. RIGHT NOW. I’M UNWELL. I’M UNHINGED. I’M REFRESHING THE AUTHOR’S PAGE EVERY SIX MINUTES LIKE A DETECTIVE ON CAFFEINE.

AND RO? OH MY GOD RO.
I WANT HER TO HAVE A BOOK. NO I NEED HER TO HAVE A BOOK. The chaos. The humor. Iconic. Legendary. Unmatched. GIVE RO A BOOK OR I WILL RIOT WITH A GLITTERY MEGAPHONE.

10/10 would scream into the void again. 📚🔥💅

Quick read

All three of these books could have really been one. They're short, and there's not really a need for there to be three. There's only one goal that doesn't deviate the entire time. There's no political aspect that requires buildup, and the timeline is really short. The only relationship that grows is between Liv and Cruz, and because it's hyper accelerated, three books are not required. That means that there's three books solely to nickel and dime the reader. Good thing they're KU books, or they'd not be worth the money.

That said, it's a decent story. Liv gets stupid in this one and really died when she took on Dane. I'm not convinced she survived that encounter.
Cruz also dropped his character development. And well, this one was rather bland. I think on the whole, the series is okay. Three stars. But this one wasn't on its own.

A Brilliant Conclusion To The Series

Survival in the “After” with that firm goal in mind to reach the potential sanctuary the group carries on. Of course the way things are now there’s bound to be trouble. They definitely find it but even though risk isn’t always worth the potential reward but then again sometimes you have to take the risk. Liv is still armed with the weapons from her former neighbour and friend Haruto, and Cruz means more to her every day.

A very realistic approach to a dystopian event, it’s always the hardest times the make people show their true colours.

Loved reading the end of this story it still made me laugh too, not least because of someone’s ridiculous concept of repopulating the world. Not with those numbers!

great series

One of the things I liked about this series as it wasn’t filled with core and over the top violence. Sometimes you just want a good book, just to relax and read. Great development of story and characters. There is drama, danger, sorrow, and laughter with a budding romance thrown in. I enjoyed it all three books a few times, but it picked up.

I devoured this series in 2 days! Couldn't put it down!

As a fellow Aussie author and lover of the apocalyptic and romance genres, i really enjoyed reading a book series set in Australia. This series was action-packed with great character development and a realistic view on what it would be like in "end times".

This series was actually so good. I haven’t found a zombie romance series this good since my days on Wattpad. The ending was literally perfect and I’m glad the place was actually real and a safe place to stay. It was honestly one of the best zombie books I’ve ever read. I loved the plot too.

Nice ending to the trilogy. Although the FMC really pissed me off with her decision to chase down the bad guy, it also pissed off all the other characters so I was able to let it go 😂

A satisfying end to this trilogy.

I loved seeing Liv and Cruz again! They added more people to their motley crew.

This book was not my favorite of the series. I think the side characters took too much away from the growing relationship between Liv and Cruz. Their relationship seemed stagnate for most of the book but then at the end the slow burn finally burned and we got to see them talk more about their future together. There was also so much action in this story. If they weren't fighting zombies then they were fighting people. There was not a lot of down time.

I like how ER ended the story and I look forward to other books by her.

I was so ready for the finale of this series! It wasn't anything like I expected but in a great way. It was fun to see how the relationships developed over the series and to see the community come together. Cruz and Liv are an awesome power couple. Overall this series had great characters, a unique origin, a lovable found family and really solid writing. Highly recommend.
