Funnily enough, I was right in my last review. There wasn't enough in page space to close the overarching plot. Which means either another book of this series will come out eventually or it will end like this, for some reason. That organization is either a hydra with multiple heads, several organizations or the planning went off the rails at some point. I'm leaning for the third option, considering the main team was fully paired off two books ago and for the last one and this one Lorelei had to introduce new characters as the mains to be able to continue. I'm not sure if I'm invested enough to get another book if there is one in planning, I'm doubting a conclusion would be satisfying

This was book 8 in the "Omegas of the Shifter Mafia" series. This was a good read addition to this series. Alpha grizzly shifter Levi has a problem his uncle is known for getting into trouble and his aunt tells him that he has done it again so he goes to his older brother Sutton for help. Omega wolf shifter Colson was born into a mafia family that he doesn't want anything to do with. When he can't find a job in his field his father calls him home. Colson is forced to work for his father he delivers food to a house he scents others kids so he goes back to help and they are gone. Levi goes to the omega house and while there he smells his mate's scent on a chair (that was never explained) and when they go find his uncle he smells it again. When he goes back to search he finds his mate. I liked both of these characters. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I really hope there is another book in this series.

My Opinion:
Short and sweet. Overarching plot revolves around saving Omegas from being trafficked but can be read as a standalone. Very fast, even for insta love, but it is short so I can see why. I don’t think Colson’s dad should have been “forgiven” so easily, but he couuulldddddddd have been a worse dad and just gotten rid of Colson before. I am curious about the favor mentioned at the end of the story. I also wonder if Colson told Levi about buying/giving up his trust fund for the kids at any point. I feel like that is a big deal but anyway.

It can be safely assumed all of my reviews are from books that are 1st Person, have a HEA, and have no intimate or spicy scenes with anyone/thing other than MC(s). I try to rate books objectively if they have something I don’t typically like (i.e. Break Ups, SA, 3rd Person, Single POV, Sharing Partners). If it’s still written well the author deserves the praise but I will make note to avoid for myself in the future. I do my best to mark different triggers/warnings as well as the intimate acts performed in case anything listed/done might not be something you would want to read. If M/M, Age Play, Interspecies, Insta Love, Erotica, MPreg, or Incest are something you actively avoid, you are probably better off avoiding most of the books I review.

You might want to make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. Levi is an alpha through and through a bear shifter who never wanted to be the alpha of the clan or family but when his brother walks away from the family he has not choice but to step up, family is everything to him, and will do what is needed to protect or help the family no matter ho much it goes against everything in him. Colson is the son of an omega wolf shifter grew up knowing his father was / is a part of the mafia also a trafficker has lived his life avoiding his father’s world but his father has keeps trying to find him a match that would further his position in the mafia giving him more power and it doesn’t matter how he feels about the match so he knows he needs to find a mate soon preferably one that can protect him. But when Levi’s uncle lands himself in trouble well he, his brother, there team has to save him but getting their they realize it is a house full of omegas and children they must save them all Colson is there to deliver food unbeknownst to him his father is kidnapping omegas and children he has to save them but wait ….his mate if they work together can they save the others, will his mate accept him despite who his father is, will his father come for him hurting his mates family or will his mate’s family be ready for him, will the omega’s find a life after what they have been through, do they save his uncle, and can they find happiness somewhere in the fight?

Levi took on the mantle of Alpha for his pack after his brother left, it is what family do for one another. The other thing that family do for one another is stand by, support and help, no matter what. That is how Levi finds himself, along with one of his brothers and said brothers elite team, searching for his rotten uncle who appears to have found himself in the deepest trouble yet.

Colson has tried to escape his family's clutches. When his grandfather was alive it was easier, he had an ally. But after College and being unable to find a job in his chosen field he has to go home. He swears to himself he will find a way to leave as soon as possible, he hates everything about his crime family, is determined to stay clean and get out. That is how he finds himself making a food delivery to a place where he can sense things are not right. A place he knows he has to get back to.

This same place is where Levi and his brother find themselves, rescuing captive omega's, taking them to a new, safe home and breaking them away from the criminals. While they are there Levi scents his mate and as soon as he lays eyes on the Omega he knows Colson is the one. The alpha bear and the omega wolf are mates, fated mates, they are going to get their happy ever after and it is going to come with the most adorable cubs, pups and even a kitten. There are some scenes which some readers may find disturbing but everything in this story has context and purpose, please just use your own discretion when choosing to read and remember this is part of an outstanding series of Omega Shifter Mafia stories.

Levi, a growly alpha bear, took over the pack when his brother left to do whatever. His brother didn't give him details but he left Levi to be alpha. Then his aunt Patty comes to tell him his uncle, her mate, got in deep and may not be able to come home. She thinks it has to deal with traffickers. So he calls his brother, Sutton, to ask him to bring his new team to help.
Colson went to college all the way up to getting a master's degree. But now he's hit a road block. He can't find a job. The deal was get through school and find a job and he'd be off the hooks for working with his family. NOw he has to go home. And oh goodie, his dad is already lining up potential perfect mates for him. Sucks to be him.
Levi went to his brother;s place to talk about their uncle in law and following along as he's shown the house. Then he smells something...his mate. His mate had sat in the chair he's sniffed. So now they need to find out who owned the chair. The team and Levi go on the hunt for their aunt's mate. They find children chained to the floor but above that Levi smells his mate. They also find Raphael, the worthless mate. Then as they get ready to leave he smells his mate...and sees him near a van. Colson takes one sniff and says Mate! And goes with him. He explains how he's there and who his father is.Now they have to work through taking out not only the trafficking ring but Colson's father. Things can get complicated fast but the two are joined by something more powerful...a mate bond.
A beautiful story of two shifters who are perfect for each other.

This is book eight of the Omegas of the Shifter Mafia series. It has reoccurring characters in it but I think it can be enjoyed as a standalone read. This is the story of Levi and Colson. Levi is an alpha bear shifter who had the mantle of alpha thrust upon him by his brother leaving. It wasn't a position he sought but he assumes the responsibility once it is his. Family is everything to Levi and his pack. Colson is the only son of a mafia trafficker and a wolf shifter. He has done his level best to avoid being dragged into his father's business. But as an omega, his father is already looking at finding the perfect match to increase his own power. When Levi's Aunt Patty comes to him for help, he wants to say no but offers to help try and free his uncle. Together with his brother and his team, they set off to free him. They soon realize that there are trapped omegas and children that they have to rescue as well. At the house where they are held, Levi scents his mate. Colson is at the house as he is trying to help rescue the omegas trapped there. He found them when he was delivering food as directed by his father. The fated mate bonding happens immediately after they rescue to omegas. Colson knows that his father won't just let him go. He is worried that he will harm Levi or his pack. This is their story. The book is written well and is easy to read. I enjoyed reading it and I am looking forward to see where the storyline will go next.

“I can’t live this life. There has to be another way.”

I enjoyed this book. The premise was interesting and I actually wish it was a little darker and more detailed. I loved Levi from the start. He was a good man and a good alpha to his pack, even if it's a position he never intended to lead but fell into when his older brother left. I was sad for his loneliness and that he'd all but given up on finding his mate. When his uncle is in trouble [of his own making] with traffickers, he calls on his older brother and his team to help rescue him.

Omega Colson wanted nothing to do with his family's "business" and worked his butt off to ensure a different future for himself. I was sad that all his hard work didn't pay off when he was either overqualified or inexperienced enough to get a job in his field and was forced to return with no way out. He planned to be useless at whatever work he was forced to do in hopes of being dismissed. And to avoid being forced to marry any of the cruel alphas his father set him up with to better the family.

I liked how they met and Colson just went with him, no questions asked. He and Levi were so cute together. The story had danger and suspense. The way it ended, I'm curious for the next book. 4 stars.

Levi was a bear alpha without a mate and no time to search for one. Levi went to his older brother Sutton when Aunt Patty told him that Uncle Rapheal had gotten himself in trouble. While Sutton showed Levi around the house Levi scented his mate on an old chair that no one knew the origin of. Colson reluctantly returned home after going to college but unable to find a job. Colson was a wolf omega who didn't want to be involved in his father's illegal business. Colson delivered food for his father and could scent shifter terror in the house. Sutton's team tracked down Rapheal at the house where Colson had delivered the food. They rescued the held children and found Rapheal tied to a tree. Levi scented his mate at the house. Colson returned to the house a week later to 'deliver more food' but found the children gone and wolves dead. Levi, Sutton and Maverick the dragon shifter show up and Levi and Colson recognize each other as mates. Read this book to see what happens once Colson leaves with Levi.

Levi became alpha when his brother Sutton left to be with his mate who helps rescue omegas. Levi has to ask Sutton for help finding their uncle who was helping with kidnapping omegas. Levi scented his mate on a chair in the house where his brother was living. Colton had to finally go home because he graduated from college his father wants him in the business but he doesn’t so he was asked to pick up food and deliver it to a warehouse. Levi and the team went there rescued their uncle and the children there and scented his mate. Colson went to the warehouse to rescue the children but they were already gone and scented Levi but didn’t know how he was going to find him. Colson’s father told him to clean up the dead and the warehouse, Levi went back to see if he could find his mate and Colson was there. Later found his uncle dead and had to get back home to save everyone, Colson had to give up his trust fund so his dad would leave them alone.

When Levi goes to join his brother’s group to rescue/kidnap his uncle, little does he know he will meet his fated mate. Colson is the son of a mafia trafficker, not involved in the family business but afraid he is about to be drawn in. He is given “legit” jobs to do, the first being to purchase and deliver food supplies to an estate. When Colson gets there, he realizes there are captive cubs and omegas there, so he schemes to rescue them. But his being there leaves his scent for Levi to catch when his team comes to get his uncle and rescue the cubs and omegas still there, so Levi and friends return to look for his mate, leading to Colson escaping his father, gaining five cubs as his responsibility, mating with his fated, and building a family of their own.

Another entertaining tale in the world of the Omegas of the Shifter Mafia, with some returning characters, more rescues from the traffickers, a built-in and found family of bears and wolves, and a HEA for Levi and Colson.

Levi is the acting Alpha of his den because his older brother had left. Batman trying to fix people's problems when they came to him. So when his aunt came to him about his uncle Raphael being in trouble with some really bad people he called on his brother for help getting him back. When you meet up with his brother he smells his mate on a chair. And then when they go to rescue the uncle he smells his mate again. Colson's family were Shady AF and he wanted no part of that life. But he was being forced to return home and become part of the family business. His conscience wouldn't allow him not to try and intervene when he knew that there was innocent people in danger. So when he return to the location to try and rescue them he ends up meeting his mate. This wasn't a bad book but it wasn't as good as the previous ones in this series. And I have no understanding with everything that his father had done and continued to do how he could have a relationship with him or allow his child around him.

This is book 8 of Omegas of the Shifter Mafia by the writing duo of Lorelei M Hart. Of course the minute I saw this show up on Booksprout I had to grab it. I've read the other seven so there's no way I would pass it up.

In this story we meet Sutton's younger brother Levi, the de facto alpha leader of the pack after Sutton leaves to join Hammer's team. I'm not going to give too much away because I don't want to spoil the story for anyone.

This is such a great story and an easy read at 94 pages. It's amazing how much of a story you can put into a 94 page book. I've enjoyed every book in this series and I can't wait to see how it all ends up.

I won't say that this one ended on a cliffhanger but it definitely ended with a 'more to follow'.

Fated mates, found family.

This one felt even more rushed than the others did. We're starting off with two brand new MCs we know virtually nothing about. There's a moment where I got lost when Colson/Colton was delivering food to the house before the raid by Hammer's team, then Colson returns (the next day? Unclear) and immediately gets spotted by Levi coming out of the delivery van. Then Colson just goes with Levi? That whole scene was a mess to read, but this was like super insta-mate. Later on, a few chapters after that, Levi was talking about his "wolf" but he's definitely a bear. It was an obvious typo, but it went on for a whole page and a half, so I thought I missed something.
A lot of these mistakes made it difficult to enjoy the story, but this whole series has been a slog of issues, so I'm not really surprised. Idk if this is the end or if they're actually going to start giving us the answers they've been hinting at during this series.

I loved this book! Sutton’s brother Levi arrives when they need to go looking for their uncle. He’s gotten himself in a bit of trouble and they are coming to bring him home. Colson has been forced home and into his father’s business, which isn’t good, upon the death of his grandfather. The two will end up meeting at a house where Colson’s father is keeping prisoners and the two will realize they are mates. Levi and Colson head home to Levi’s den with a few of the rescued children in tow. Things go well until Colson’s father shows up but Colson sends him on his way. The two get the chance to get their happily ever after and Colson’s father even changes a bit to get the chance to meet his grandson.

This is part of a series that revolves around a group of men dedicated to freeing onegas from a life as a breeder. Levi is the brother of one of those men and finds himself embroiled in their dark world thanks to the actions of his uncle. What he doesn't expect is to find his mate while "cleaning house". Colson never wanted to be part of his father's legacy, but there he was. Learning the darkest of truths, he's desperate to help AND escape. The adorable cubs that become an integral part of their lives give this story some much needed levity.

This story was creative and I enjoyed it immensely. The 4 stars (rather than 5) is simply a response to my dislike of how some issues toward the end of the book were handled. Personal opinion only as I still highly recommend this read. I did voluntarily review a gift copy. Happy Reading Y'all 📚

This book was an absolute treat to read this paranormal shifter with Omega as a Mate, and that is what Levi was not expecting when Levi's aunt was worried about her husband. Levi, his brother and his team set off to look for the uncle, what they came across nearly made them sick, once they unchained the little ones taken them to the truck plus a kitten then went looking for the uncle, Levi could smell his mate and he went back to get his mate Colson, Levi, had his mate and the littles in the truck and took them home to Levi's home the uncle come home with them before they knew it he ran off again but this time they didn't bring him home. Levi, and his mate were different shifters they had the perfect family and plenty of love.

This is book eight of the author’s Omegas of the Shifter Mafia series. It didn’t feature an alpha from the shifter mafia core group but instead, Levi, a grizzly alpha from a nearby pack and the brother of an alpha affiliated with the shifter mafia. His omega, Colson, was a wolf shifter as well as the son of the man responsible for the trafficking of omegas—the very man the shifter mafia have been searching for.

I love that the shifter mafia’s getting closer to putting an end to the traffickers but this one, unlike the others, ends in a bit of a cliffhanger. I’m not big on cliffhangers. 4 stars!.

This is a nice short read from Lorelei, with so much love packed into and action story it keeps you entertained.

Colson's father has demanded him home to be part of the family business, but Colson knows what they do is illegal and he wants nothing to do with it.
Levi is working with other shifters to try to find his wayward uncle, he finds his uncle but also so much more in the arms of his unexpected mate.

These guys are very independent but together they're accepood each others strengths and protective of the others heart. A really enjoyable read.

Interesting. Levi, took over as den alpha when his brother left. His aunt appealed for help when her husband, Rafael got into trouble over his head. Levi, putting family first went on a rescue mission and found more than his Uncle. He sensed his mate. I find Levi to be an upstanding man. Colson, is not like his mafia king father and doesn't want to be. He knows who and what his father is an is capable of and is rightfully terrified, but he is willing to stand up to him, sorta. Nice story about two men facing moral challenges and how they work toward solution. Nice story. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Your fated mate rescued you from your father's lifestyle. Wow!

This is Lorelei at her best. Short and sweet. Mafia traffickers and a team of omega/child rescuers. Bear and wolf and cubs galore oh my! I fell in love with Levi and Colson from the first pages. There is shifter justice, but the violence is off page. Ooh, and yes, there is sex... hot sex. And a baby! But the story is incomplete. I am waiting for it to continue o in the next book. In short, you need to grab this book. Now!

This bargain leads to an unpleasant discovery. I liked how events brought Colson and Levi together where they fall in love and mated. I liked how they rescued the cubs and how Colson claimed them as his. I hope the bargain Colson made for their safety won't harm them in anyway. His father has become a bit strange but not always in a good sense.

I loved The Alpha Grizzly's Mate: Book 8 of Omegas of the Shifter Mafia. Colson knew it was time to go home but he hated it, his father and family were bad men. When he stumbles upon things he shouldn’t he knees he needs to try and fix it. Levi is looking for his uncle when he scents his mate. Why is his mate involved in this? I loved the story and the characters. A protective alpha and a strong omega will take on his family and build their own. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

This is another slight side step from original cast of characters, but they are all still involved in rescuing Omegas and pups. Colson hates the family business. He's going to try and make a rescue himself except our hero Alphas have already been there and done that. However, Levi had scented his mate and also returned to the scene. Although their romance goes well, Colson is still not out of his father's clutches. I am looking forward to more from this family and group of hero Alpha and their equally brave Omegas! I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Only my first read by the author and it did not disappoint. I was invested in the beginning as the characters came to life, but slowly I wanted more of the storyline, more action, connection between the characters. Overall an enjoyable quick MM shifter romance story and I want to start from book one to get to know the other characters in this series.

Freaking awesome series

I love MS Hart and her books!!!! I always seem to fall into her books and become one of her characters I feel like I'm talking and interacting with them!!!!! They all fall in love & have babies but there is also fighting the bad guys but they all return to their mates and babies!!!!!

This series never ceases to amaze me. Each story is so well written and completely engaging from start to finish.

Wait a minute… does it really end that way? It doesn’t feel like it. It doesn’t feel like a HEA . There’s too many questions. Is there a next book to this couple?

I love this whole series BUT, this ending can’t be it?
