Beyond the literal - this book delves straight into the deeper meanings of the stories told. Philosophical, mystical and even practical disquisitions. A hugely powerful book and indeed necessary read to understand the Bible.

Awesome book, I highly recommend this book to anyone that wants to have better understanding of the true Hebrew background of the bible and that is open to the Oral torah, you have nothing to lose and a wealth of treasures to gain. I have people from my (Messianic) shabbat/home group reading these books and they tell me that they cannot put these books down, they are reading them at work, on their lunch, as soon as they come home...

I absolutely loved the first volume. So many greats from Avraham, to Yitzchak to Yaakov, to Yosaif. Awesome stories about some truly magnanimous greats of our people. What a good start to the series! I highly recommend this book.
