This was a nice read.

I don't think I would ever choose to reread it because of the brutal things that happen like against animals and scenes with others. Its a good thriller or suspense and I can appreciate the author's writing for making it awful at least for my weak stomach.

I like Attie shes a good character, strong but fiery not someone that lets her vulnerability rule her and I like that for her. Shes great.

I also love Noah hes so clearly in love with her, its obvious.

I tried to like the story, but so much of it came across as over-the-top, far-fetched, and just ridiculous. I also had issues with the female protagonist, a heroine that I didn't find likeable.

Layer upon layer of intrigue. So well written you can imagine the terror, smell the fear. I have been a fan for a long time, Jennifer never disappoints. Every story is fresh, every plot keeps you on your toes, every line keeps you reading through the night. Following every move these characters take, whilst holding your breath.

An enjoyable story! Lots of action kept things exciting. I liked the romance between Attie and Noah, but I do wish that she had opened up to him a bit sooner.

'The Hunger Games meet drug lord and agents' kept going in my mind through the most part of the story.
This story's suspense is gory, terrifying, filled with psychological tension and fear. The circumstances, or the location, is rather far fetched, taking you to the edge of your imagination, and with its blood-soaked, intense terror, way out of the comfort zone. And I'm not sure yet, if that was in a good way, I have to try to sleep on it (without nightmares).
The beginning is a bit confusing, since the story, itself, started over a year ago, and the events of the past are slowly unfolded through the book. But until this started to happen, I felt a bit confused, like I had missed the previous book of the series.
Attie was not an easy person to like. Yes, I love it when the heroine is strong and independent. But there is the point when the strong will and mind, and the stubbornness is starting to remind you of a five year old in a middle of a temper tantrum. Constant bitterness and anger are not very attractive. And until the story unfold, and the reader finds out the reasons for her behavior, it might be too late to learn to like her.
I wish there would have been more about Noah, and more of the story told from his point of view. Maybe then Attie's anger and bitterness would have not been on a center stage.
The last 15% of the story completely saves the day, giving more insight to Noah, into their relationship, and the story does end with a beautiful images.
The Maze is a very intense, different kind of black ops story, and I do recommend it.
Three big spoons and a teaspoon on the side for it.

I really loved this story. It was filled with terror, mind games and misconception which see's two agents return to a world of evil, where only by sticking together can they ever hope to survive the games and trials of one seriously psychotic enemy intent on making Attie his once and for all.

This book gets you hooked and drags you in from the very first chapter, betrayal and misconceptions has you on the edge of your seat eager to learn the next twist in a world of the delusional Carlos and his determination to punish Attie for her earlier betrayals and finally possess her completely. By kidnapping her brother he draws her back into her secret hell only this time Noah won't let her go alone.

Together they must fight for their lives, fight for each other and along the way fight the ever growing passion which has been brewing between them for years. Now is the time this amazing couple learn to fight, survive and ultimately let go of the past and move forward together into a world of love, understanding and pure sexual passions and discover that once they have given into their passionate side despite the promises, they just can't and don't want to live without each other.

this is a book you must read fabulous xxx

This was a great book; I read it in one sitting because I couldn't put it down. Atlanta (Attie) is a former operative for ATCOM a counter terrorism unit. She retired after her mission went wrong, she was imprisoned and tortured during the assignment once she escaped she retired. That is until Santiago the man who tortured her kidnaps her brother, and will only release him if Attie plays his game once again. Noah is a former Navy Seal, and worked with Attie during her mission that went wrong, Noah still blames himself for that mission. Attie and Noah must now work together again to save Attie’s brother from Santiago. They have to overcome their past and see if they can forgive. This book has it all, romance, mystery, suspense, and hot Navy Seal. I sure hope that the author Jennifer Lowery writes another book with these characters, because I sure want more.

I absolutely loved this from the very begining.
With a fast paced action packed thrilling adventure which kept me on the edge of my seat, and beautiful sensual love scenes.

With a remarkable heroine Atalanta (Attie) is a courageous, intelligent woman. Can she find the courage again to face the evil from her past.

Noah is everything you want a hero to be. Tall, strong, heroic and just down right gorgeous. A former Navy SEAL who i fell in love with from the first page. He has such a unique presence.

Can he and Attie work together to get rid of the evil manipulator once and for all. Will the growning physical attraction between them be enough to bury the past to find a future.

If your looking for excitement, action, romantic adventure and wonderful HEA this is definitely a must read

I am so pleased that this is the start of a marvellous new series and we get to know more gorgeous heroes

Kept me on the edge of my seat 'til the very end!

This was the first book I’ve read by Jennifer Lowery and it sure won’t be the last. I’m not a professional reviewer and I don’t believe in restating the teaser blurb about the book, you can read that for yourself, but I LOVED this book.

Take one seriously alpha male, one seriously damaged, alpha female and one sadistic terrorist bent on revenge and you have the beginning of a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat in suspense until you finish it.

If this book had been a movie I would have closed my eyes in several parts and then regretted it. I’m glad it was a book so that I had to read everything. LOL

If a book can make me really FEEL things I know it’s a good one. This book made me laugh and cry and I’d give it more than 5 stars if I could.

Well done, Jennifer!

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Once the action picked up and Attie started opening up to Noah, I really enjoyed this book. I wish the author would have written more from Noah’s point of view, because I feel like this book was all about Attie: her past haunting her, her inability to trust Noah, her refusal to allow him in, her struggle to stand up to Santiago. I liked the chemistry between Noah and Attie and wished the author had spent more time on their relationship instead of the past reliving itself for Attie with Santiago – but I guess that was all part of her coming full circle and opening up to Noah. The epilogue was great and I was glad to see them find their way through the obstacles between them. I kept waiting for the book to be about Noah, the man, and Attie, his lady, not just ATCOM operatives on a mission and I wasn’t disappointed.

The Maze was an amazing book with a very complex story. It pulls you in from the beginning. What would you do if the man who is now your worst enemy, or every waking nightmare held your brother captive? Then the man you blame for your injuries and the death of a teammate, and the loss of her job tells you the news and says that he was going with you to get your brother? What did Noah want? Attie knew what her nightmare wanted. What happens is empowering to all women, and you will see how all these questions are answered and more. This book shows one woman's strength against all odds and how if you believe in yourself anything is possible. A must read if you ask me.

Mystery, suspense, chemistry between the two main characters Noah & Attie, and a gripping plot and storytelling that wouldn't let me go.

Nothing can make Attie, former ATCOM operative return to her work countering terrorism. Especially after being tortured. But when her assailant kidnaps her brother, she has no choice. Now Attie works with Noah again (a former navy seal who blams himself for her capture). Their romance has to overcome the past and forgiveness.

I loved that Attie is a strong, intelligent woman. And Noah's not so bad either being a hot former navy seal :)

I read this book a few weeks ago and evidently didn't review here.. So, let me fix that oversight. The Maze grabbed me and kept me reading when I should have been sleeping, eating, cooking, etc.. Good stuff.

The fire between Noan and Atalanta sizzles throughout this book. Loaded with intrigue, danger, twists and turns, this book is hard to put down. They have trust issues to work through while trying to find and free her brother from a monster from their past.

I really enjoyed this book and I was hooked as soon as I picked it up - I even read it within 24hrs.

This book took me on a roller coaster ride where I actually felt I was with characters at times. It has a great mix of everything you would want to see in this type of book: action, adventure, passion, excitement, love story. I can't wait to read to more books from ATCOM series!
