I always love the let’s be friends and get married idea because we as readers know what will happen or what we want to happen.
Joe gets what he wants, in a hurry, but will he be able to handle it??’
This handsome rancher aches for a family so he makes a clinical business proposal to his best friend Macy. I had to laugh at his earnestness.
Things happen fast, with a few twists and turns that weren’t anticipated.
But what about when Macy changes her part of the deal? Can Joe shake his walls off and realize everything he’s ever wanted has been right there all along.
I love the animals in the story, Voodoo the chittering cat and Rosie the dog!
Thanks Christine Rimmer and Harlequin for the early copy.

Joseph Nathan Bravo had his heart broken twice in his life and tried being a foster parent with the opportunity to adopt. He’s made up his mind that it’ll never happen again, but he wants a family. Joe has come up with a plan so that he can have the family and relationship he wants. Macy Lynn Storm married and had a daughter. When her husband cheats and leaves her for another woman she comes home to Medicine Creek, Wyoming. Macy is about to get a proposal that she never expected. Joe and Macy have known each other all their lives and have been best friends since they were freshman in high school. When Joe comes to Macy with an idea of becoming a family. Will The Marriage Plan change their lives or will it tear best friends apart?
The Marriage Plan is the recent book by author Christine Rimmer in her long running Bravo series, in fact it’s on its 71st book in the overall Bravo series, 27th in the Bravo Family Ties subseries and the 8th in the Next Generation subseries of the Family Ties. The Marriage Plan continues the stories of the children of the original Bravo family who live in Wyoming and Run the Double K Ranch. This story is the third child of Nathan and Meggie Bravo children. Joe Bravo has been burned by love twice in his life and is determined that his broken heart won’t happen again. After two failed romances and a try at fostering to adopt to have a family he’s come up with a plan but needs the help of his best friend. Macy Storm has a six-year old daughter and is busy helping run her mom’s flower shop and her best friend’s hardware store, she’s got a good life. After her divorce from her cheating husband, she’s come back home. When her best friend comes to her with The Marriage Plan her decision will change their lives forever.
Joe and Macy decide to go ahead with The Marriage Plan. They get a surprise when a one night stand from Joe’s past comes back into his life needing help. With Macy’s help and calmness, they handle the situation. As they settle into the new routine of their lives Joe wants to adopt his stepdaughter, only to have it shot down by her biological father, whose only contact is sending the child support. The Marriage Plan is growing strong and on their wedding night it was decided to try to expand their family. Macy is pregnant and they’re excited about the addition to the family. Macy realizes that she has fallen in love with her husband and is hesitant to tell him because of the deal they made when they got married that there would be everything in their relationship and marriage but actual love. She knows that it’ll change everything between them no matter what happens between them. The advice of her other best friend helps Macy to make the decision to tell Joe that she been in love with him her whole life but didn’t realize it until just recently. Joe is thrown for a loop with the news and pulls away.
The Marriage Plan by Christine Rimmer is the recent release of her Bravo series and the subseries Family Ties: Next Generation. This story takes the reader into the lives of two best friends who marry for friendship love and trust but a declaration of true love just maybe the thing that tears them apart. A man who doesn’t want true love ever again marries his trusted best friend with the idea that he along with she and her daughter will become a family and continue to grow as a family. They have a few obstacles in their way which they seem to handle with little difficulty. Christine Rimmer’s The Marriage Plan doesn’t disappoint fans with its, emotion and a little humor. Christine Rimmer as always does it again with this reader and fan and reviewer of her stories of making me fall in love with her characters. I also say that since I have an idea that The Marriage Plan wouldn’t make me tear up but it did. The Marriage Plan a wonderful way to spend a cold wintery day under a cozy blanket.

Terrific friends-to-lovers story. This is the sixth book in the series following the second generation of the Bravo family, and I love catching up on the lives of the original characters. In this case, Joe is Nate and Meggie Bravo's son (Marriage by Necessity). He has seen their long and loving marriage, as well as those of other family members. However, Joe has been burned by love twice and refuses to go down that path again. Be that as it may, he still wants to marry and have a family, if he can find a woman he can trust. Who better than his best friend, Macy?

Macy moved home with her daughter, Ana, after she divorced her cheating husband. She works as a bookkeeper for her mom's florist business and Joe's hardware store. Though she wouldn't mind marrying again, trusting another man won't come easily. Joe's proposal surprises her, and she initially flatly refuses even to consider it. But Joe is persistent and eventually convinces her that it will work.

I loved watching Joe and Macy's relationship grow. Their long-standing friendship means they know each other very well. I loved the prologue, with its sampling of letters that show they've had each other's backs all their lives. Their marriage seems to be an easy extension of their friendship, and they settle quickly into marital bliss, including an unexpected amount of chemistry. That chemistry opened Macy's eyes to her changing feelings.

Matters become complicated when Joe's past comes calling. Macy's acceptance and embracing of the situation showed how much she trusted Joe. But does that trust extend to confessing her feelings? And what will Joe's response be? There were times when I wanted to shake him for being so blind, but I also understood his fear. Of course, I knew everything would work out, but the journey was emotion-packed and kept me hooked to the end. The epilogue was a nice peek at their future.

My favorite secondary character was Ana. Her relationship with Joe was sweet, and I loved how he thought of her as his. I couldn't understand how her father was so uninterested in having anything to do with her, though at least he lived up to his financial responsibilities.

What a perfect start to this book with the prologue and you can definitely feel the close friendship between Macy and Joe through their letters. However both of these characters have been through a lot in the relationship department and neither is looking to be all in again with someone much less get married again. When Joe decides to ‘propose’ his idea of marriage to Macy, I knew this could definitely backfire. Joe wants marriage and family but no love involved, Macy will only remarry for love. Joe is definitely a good salesman because when he wrote that final letter to Macy, that sealed the deal. These two are definitely best friends and with marriage thrown it and Ana (Macy’s daughter) cares about him, a lot didn’t change other than a piece of paper and a ring. Just like clockwork when things couldn’t have been better between our new little family, a blast from Joe’s recent past shows up with baggage to boot and everything changes. I do have to admit I was kind of hoping the result would be different than it was, but everyone stepped up to make the situation work. Macy however has fallen in love with Joe and this is something that neither of them wanted and when she talks to Joe and finally share’s her feelings with him, we all knew what would happen. They continue to be cordial but a rift is there. Joe’s dad has noticed something has changed between Joe and Macy and has a talk with Joe and that opens Joe’s eyes to the fact that he has let his past cloud his true feelings towards Macy. I really liked how this story ended for Joe, Macy and Ana and everyone got their happily ever after. Great book.

Joe Bravo and Macy Storm grew up together and have always been the best of friends, always there for each other. Joe was there for Macy when her husband cheated on her and left her for another woman and as the Godfather of her daughter Ana. Macy was there for him when two women broke his heart and during his heartbreaking foster experience. Joe wants a family with his whole heart and believes that his best friend is the only way to get that. He loves her daughter and knows in his heart that he and Macy can have the little ones that he has always wanted on his own. Macy is not convinced that marriage is the best plan but finally decides to do it. Enter a blast from Joe’s past that they navigate together and the drama of Ana’s biological father putting up roadblocks along the way. Macy and Joe decide to work on a family that they create together and Macy realizes that she has always loved Joe Bravo but telling him would go against the agreement that they made when they decided to marry. Love does not play a part in this plan. We all know how the best laid plans go, they don’t or they get detours and these two people take us on one heck of a detour.

This story is the newest addition to the Bravo family and is a sweet story that will make you laugh and cry. You may want to shake some sense into Joe Bravo every so often but that means the story has believable characters with a great story to tell. I could not wait to get my hands on this book but I am like that with every Bravo Family book. Do not delay, get this book and snuggle up with a cozy blanket, a cup of something warm, and prepare to fall in love with Joe and Macy and sweet little Ana.

When Joe Bravo decided he was ready to get married and start a family, he thought of his best friend, Macy Storm who is divorced and has a young daughter named Ana. Joe was hurt and betrayed twice and won’t fall in love ever again. It hurts too much. Macy was hurt by her ex husband. Joe offered her a marriage proposal. He reminded her that not only are they best friends and business partners but they are a great team in life. He’s been there for her and Ana when her no good husband wasn’t. She was surprised with the proposal, but the more she thought about it, the more it made since. They love each other but are not in love, so neither will get their hearts broken again. Can the two make a go of it? Will they start a family together with Ana? Their chemistry is off the charts. The only person that can ground him is Macy. They enjoy their married life until they get a precious surprise. Can their marriage survive? What will happen when Macy breaks one of their conditions and falls in love with Joe? Will he accept it? Will he walk away? The characters are wonderful. Joe just needs to forget his past and move forward with his future and trust Macy and his heart. Will he? I didn’t want to put it down. I was rooting for their little family. Worth the read. Christine Rimmer always brings you into the stories. Awesome author. I received this book for my honest review. I give it voluntarily.

The Marriage Plan written by Christine Rimmer is the twenty-seventh book in her Bravo Family Ties series. I was hooked from the opening lines. Joe Bravo and Macy Storm have been friends for years. In high school they started letter writing and have carried on the tradition for years. Joe has had his ups and downs with love and truly wants a family. He devises a plan to ask his best friend, Macy, to marry him. It takes some convincing, but she agrees. After all, she is a single mom with a precious daughter who loves Joe. Her ex-husband wants nothing to do with their daughter and Joe is already in love with her daughter.

One condition of the marriage is Joe will never fall in love. Macy agrees to the marriage and so with any relationship they have their ups and downs. When a surprise shows up at the door, everything changes. Macy falls in love with Joe, but what does Joe think? Will their marriage survive?

The Marriage Plan is the perfect holiday romance. I highly recommend it along with the entire series. I received an advance copy which I chose to read and review. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Joe Bravo has been burned by love and isn't interested in falling in love again. Macy Storm is a divorced mom with an adorable 6-year-old daughter, she still believes in in happily ever after. Joe and Macy are the very best of friends since childhood. They have been there for each other through the joys and heartaches life brings. Joe has decided he wants to get married and have a family but doesn't want to fall in love. He comes up with this brilliant plan to marry Macy because they already know each other and he trusts her. Joe presents his plan to Macy and at first, she says no but after discussing it with her best girlfriend she says yes. They get married and it is a marriage in the full sense of the word. Macy gets pregnant and they are happy until and old one night stand shows up with Joe's infant daughter. They welcome them into the family and things are going well so Joe thinks. Macy on the other hand falls in love with her husband. Joe freaks out because that wasn't part of the plan. Will Joe realize he is in love with his wife? You will have to read it to find out.

Macy is a single mom of a sweet little girl, it wasn’t her plan, but life is that way sometimes. She moved back to her hometown after her divorce and works as a book keeper for both her moms flower shop and her best friends store. She loves the work and enjoys the work environment for both places. Joe, her best friend also had some bad experiences with love and has sworn to never be in love again. She has felt the same and hasn’t dated since her divorce. One day Joe decides that he is tired of trying to adopt alone with no luck and fostering wasn’t a good fit either, so he started to think about how to have a family that he wanted so bad without the dreaded dating. When he speaks to Macy about it, she tells him no way. But, he feels this is the best way to get what he wants without being hurt.
The Marriage Plan: A Best Friends to Lovers Marriage Plan Romance is a great read with a great storyline and amazing characters. I read it in one setting and had a great time reading it. This five-star read is so worth it, I will just tell you to grab it and read it, it’s awesome.

Macy and Joe. Friends forever. Even when Macy marries for love they're still friends. When her relationship implodes and she comes back to town, Joe is thrilled to have her work with him! Everything is going well!

They both enjoy their friendship, but Joe wants a family. After a heartbreak and when his foster/adopt plan falls through, Joe decides since he and Macy get along so well they should marry! He could be the father to her child and well...did I say they get along well?

As Macy falls further in love with Joe, she is hesitant to let him know. They're best friends, not in love! Of course there are issues from other people that had been in Macy and Joe's lives. Can they weather those storms and both fall into love with each other?

Such a sweet story. Joe was perfect for Macy from the start...and he certainly loves Ana! A wonderful book to read cuddled up in your favorite chair or with your favorite person. I love this series.

Excellent Bravo story! If you have been following the Bravo series, you will love hearing from some of the past characters for sure, that appear in this story of Joe Bravo and Macy Storm. Joe just happens to be Nate & Maggie Bravo’s son. Macy & Joe have been the best of friends through school and continued their friendship through heartbreak and divorce. They are both done with love. They make an agreement to get married and start a family strictly as the BFFs that they are. So many unexpected things happen in this storey that it keeps you reading to find out “what’s next”! Ana, Macy’s daughter is a wonderful character and can’t forget Voodoo & Rosie either! I swear they are human. A great surprise was Christine Rimmer starting the story with the letters Macy & Joe wrote each other, starting as an assignment back in school that ended up landing her an A. I’m not going to spill the beans on how this one ends but it is a story you cannot put down!

I just love The Marriage Plan by Christine Rimmer!!! Joe Bravo and Macy Storm have been best friends since childhood.
Years later, both are left reeling from heartbreak and disappointment. Joe wonders if their friendship can be something more...the answer to their longing for love, security, and a family.
Macy loves Joe as a friend but wonders if she can take their friendship one step further to marriage, romance, and commitment. Can this truly be the relationship she has always wanted?
The Marriage Plan is wonderfully well written by Christine Rimmer. The characters are brilliant and relatable. The romance between Joe and Macy is both tender and sexy. A wonderful small town friends to lovers romance that will brighten your holiday season.
Christine Rimmer is a compelling storyteller and never disappoints! I just love this book and can't wait for Rimmer's next Bravo romance!!!

Another in the Bravo Family Ties series, in which Joe Bravo knows he'll never be in love again--too dangerous to his heart health--but he wants a family, so he proposes marriage to his best friend and business partner, Macy Storm, who agrees. At least, her daughter will have a real father-figure, given that her real dad's only connection to her is the money he sends to Macy for Ana's upkeep.

All is going swimmingly until Macy upsets the apple cart when she realizes she is IN LOVE with Joe, no matter that they'd agreed that wasn't necessary. Now what is he going to do? Macy seems almost too good, especially when she welcomes the arrival of a baby Joe fathered, one he didn't know about, and the woman who birthed the little girl. (Unrealistic, in my view).

I had a hard time liking Macy. When she found out that her husband had had a baby with someone else prior to their relationship, she immediately accepted her into their lives and the baby as well. She also did the lion's share of taking care of the baby, and it didn't come off as believable. I feel like you might find acceptance in your heart eventually, but I just don't believe that it would be so immediate. In my mind she came off as more of a saint than a living, breathing, likeable woman with insecurities. She made everything easy for Joe, so that he might some day admit he loved her? And he had the best of both worlds: playing house while making zero commitments. I usually enjoy Christine's books, but this wasn't a favorite.

The Marriage Plan: A Best Friends to Lovers Marriage Plan Romance by Christine Rimmer is book 7 of 12 in the Bravo Family Ties series. I really enjoyed reading Joe Bravo and Macy Storm's story. Joe decided he was ready to get married and wanted to start a family. His best friend, Macy, is divorced and has a young daughter named Ana. Joe and Macy found themselves hurt by exes in their past, and falling in love wasn't on the table. Joe's marriage proposal was more of a business proposal. They love each other but are not in love, so neither will get their hearts broken again. It's all well and good on paper, but Macy finds herself falling in love with Joe. Real love.

Another great book by this author an part of the Bravo family series. The characters make you feel like you are once again not just reading the book but along side of Joe and Macy who are wonderful people but still healing from previous hurts from past experiences. Joseph has the opportunity to adopt and being foster parent it gives him the chance to have the family and relationship he dreams of. You can loose yourself in this book for it is a quick read and the time goes by fast when you read this author cause her stories are smooth and easy to loose into the story like being in a romantic movie with the suspense and happy endings.

The Marriage Plan by Christine Rimmer is the most recent Bravo story. Joe Bravo and Macy Lynn Storm have known each other since grade school and grew their friendship through letters. Joe has decided it’s time to settle down but doesn’t want love. So, he turns to his best friend Macy. Macy was burned by a cheating ex-husband so she’s not looking for love. Together, they make a marriage work based on friendship but not love, until Macy realizes she’s been in love with Joe since they were kids. Joe takes longer to realize it, but their chemistry is off the chart!! I loved the way Christine ties them together and brings out their love. 5 Start!!

Joe Bravo and Macy Storm have been friends for a long time. Joe doesn't believe in true love but wants to get married and start a family and he thinks his longtime friend is the answer. They are longtime friends and partners in business and he trust her like no other. Macy wants to marry for love . But Joe's proposal makes sense and she has been hurt before so she says yes. They are a great team . But one of them has broken a rule and falls in love. What are they going to do now, who's going to get hurt or will both of them be hurt

I have been reading Chritime Rimmer books for over 17 years now and The Marriage Plan was another great book I couldn't put down.
Joe Bravo, after giving his heart away two times before, wants a family and someone he can trust.
He asks his bestfriend Macy who he knows he can trust and have already been a great team in work. Why not marriage, but what he didn't bank on was after Macy finally says yes to him and after they get married she becomes pregnant and falls in love with him. But when she finally tells him she loves him can he do the same.

I just love a story that is all about friends that turn into lovers.

Joe has had two relationships that did not turn out well. He longs for a family of his own, but says he can't go down that road again.

Macy has trust issues since her husband cheated on her. To trust another man to come into her and her daughter Ana's lives will not be easy.

I enjoyed reading how Macy and Joe's relationship developed, how they overcame adversity, and how Ana and Joe formed a close bond with each other.

Loved it!! This is Joe and Macys story and wow was it great. They’ve been friends forever, best friends. So when they decide to get married, no love, no feelings, what could possibly go wrong? Macy fell in love! This is a wonderful story of how love can conquer all. Joe learns that love can happen, especially to him. This was an amazing story, no spoilers here. You definitely need to read this book. Thanks Ma’am for an amazing holiday read.

It was nice to go back and visit the Bravo family again. Joe and Macy had been friends forever when they decided to get married and become a family. There were several surprises along the way but they were able to work together and overcome all obstacles. It took some time but eventually Joe and Macy had a marriage that was based on their love for each other. I hope there are more books in this series.

The Marriage Plan delivers a fantastic love story between childhood friends and adult best friends Joe Bravo and Macy Storm. While Joe has no problem convincing Macy of the advantages of being married to your best friend, Joe is harder to convince that his heart is safe with the one woman that he was always meant to be with!!! Christine Rimmer does not disappoint with another second generation Bravo Family Ties love story, showing why she remains the best when it comes to romance!!!

I started reading books in July 1998 and once I picked up Christine Rimmer book I was hooked. I’ve been reading her books since then and she never disappointed me the day I first received a book from her to review was the happiest day of my life. I now was somehow connected to my favorite author. The bravo series is one of my favorite and I’m glad it’s still going strong. I highly recommend anything she writes and especially this book the marriage plan.

Friends know Best

Joe and Macy have been friends all their lives. As an assignment in high school, they had to write letters to each other. This turned into a ritual of letter writing over the years. Through ups and downs in each other's lives, they stayed in touch always there for each other. After they both had a heartbreak or two , they decided to go a different way that brings problems they have to overcome, but true friends know what's best for each other.
