Being the daughter of the infamous Russell Ross taught me one thing, power isn’t given, you have to take it. For years, I watched my father rule the Chicago streets, but eventually, I got tired of sitting on the sidelines and I wanted in. Who better to train and prepare me to take over his kingdom than the king himself? He groomed me into a true gangsta, but a tragic twist of fate changed our lives forever and now revenge is the only thing on my mind.
Nahari Lenox
Taking over for my dad was at the top of my list of things to do, right after having my way with the ladies. At 18, I was young, paid, and a boss by nature, so women came a dime a dozen to me. My last name carried a lot of weight, but don’t get it twisted, so did my first name. People knew better than to try me , so imagine my surprise when it happened. An unexpected shooting changed the complete trajectory of my life in ways that I didn’t even understand.
The Ross and The Lenox crime families share a mutual respect and have had the streets of Chicago on lock for years. Nahari and Naomi were born into this lifestyle and their paths had been mapped out since they were in the womb. With a strong dislike for each other, can Nahari and Pretti set aside their differences when it matters the most? Or will their egos bring down both empires? Find out in this blazing African American Urban Fiction unputdownable new series,The Plug’s Prettiest Problem by National Best Selling Authors, Dedra B., and Shari B.
Deeds and Shari, oh my lawd! I'm so glad for this collab. Y'all both a beasts alone but baby this right here. Some may not think it but I think this love story is so ooo good. It's funny we try to run from something only to come face to face with the main thing. I know the hate is so real. I can't wait to see who's behind Naomi first heart break. I have an idea but ooh lawd karma is coming. And that dang gone cliffhanger oh my. So ooo good🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Ate it up. I was so invested but I expected nothing less from anything with Dedra B. I’m also a new fan of Shari B and this had me locked in. I hate they got Nahari locked up. They building need better security cuz ain’t no way they keep letting all these unwanted people in there. I hope Maniac caught that bullet cuz that man is unhinged and not in a good way. Love the mcs and the take on frenemies to lovers. They’ve always been loyal to eachother even while talking smack. I’m excited for book 2.

Owe wee this was so good. I hope that nigga Maniac is dead he annoying AF. I’m annoyed they should have told him he about to be a dad. Why Big Ross still ain’t figure out who killed his damn wife? I hope they figure out who killed Nina but I really believe it was Simone. I hope Meg doesn’t come back sniffing around and go visit him and stuff and act like she holding him down and shit. He bet not change and turn on my girl Pretti while he locked up. Can’t wait for part 2.
I sincerely hope that officer's aim was true. Maniac is a real piece of work, isn't he? Trying to avenge his siblings, but conveniently forgetting they started the whole mess. Nafari and Pretti, now there's a power couple if I ever saw one. I suspect Pretti's aunt and cousin may have had a hand in her mama's demise. Can't wait to see the look on Ross's face when he uncovers the real culprit - front row seats, please!💗💗
Pretti and Nah definitely are made for each other it’s very rare that you find a couple whose parents already knew in the future that their offsprings will be with each other till the test of time this book is definitely a modern Bonnie and Clyde vibes I like how Pretti and Na rode for each other and they don’t take no crap from no one I feel sorry for whoever goin to try to destroy thieve love cause they are a force to be reckoned with
The collab we didn't know we needed but glad that we got it because baby, they served the pen. I enjoyed reading about the families and how code had them looking out for each other. The twists that this story took, especially the ending. Looking forward to seeing how the Lenox and Ross families deal with their enemies.
Y'all like Ryan and Micheal the dynamic duo.......
Y'all don't miss! At first I was like Nahari is gonna be mad they kept that secret but then he told them not to see him for 3 years so I'm gonna say they're both even. There was no way he could do a bid knowing he had a baby on the way. Pretti about to boss up in these 3 years I just know it.
I enjoyed this collab both authors did their thing. I was so glad Pretti & Nahari stopped playing games with each other heart. I can’t wait for part 2 because shyt about to get real.
I wish Maniac would just go away already he annoying my soul. I knew Sino was a sneaky B too. I hate that Nahari have to go through this. Also I think his mom and Naomi going to have to deal with him being mad at them. That's a big secret to hold.
This collaboration is sooo good. Love the strong FMC and MMC Enemies to Frenemies to Lovers Support system on both sides are everything!! After that cliffhanger…..it’s about to go down!!!
I have so many questions now. First being did Simone kill Nina ? And is now trying to take Granny down too? How did Sino find out where Pretti stayed ? And what happened to Meg?
This book had so much to digest. From MC to the cousins aunts mothers and fathers. Just so many moving parts to unpack and it still flowed effortlessly. Looking forward to reading part 2.
I know I wasn’t left hanging like that! First Nahari going to jail once him and Pretti found balance is crazy lol now he’s in there and here comes Maniac with his craziness and all heck breaks loose!! Who dead? Maniac or Nahari
I’m enjoying the book, it’s just hard riding the waves with the characters. Pretti can’t seem to catch a break. I rooting for her and Nahari, I just know that they still got to go through a lot more BS before they get to their happily ever after.
This was a pretty good read. It had its moments of excitement and drama. It contains some suspense and loyalty and backstabbing relatives. I suggest you read this book for yourself and see what you think.
Who would ever think problems would bring two of the most dangerous people together. They were meant to be from the day they were born. Great book. It kept me on edge.
Nahari and Pretti was definitely destined to be together...the fact that protecting each other came naturally to the two is great...Maniac should be put down because he does too much
This book was so good. It was good from the beginning to the end. The ending had me holding my breath!! I can't wait to see what happens next! Good read.
Classic story of families being super close and wanting their kids to be together, but honey Nahari and Pretti was some different type of problems lol. I felt bad for Pretti because losing a parent is always hard, but she really had the best dad. Nahari was just out here living his best life. One night brings them together and a new found respect. Things begin to blossomed and feelings can't b fought anymore. This ending is driving me crazy. On to part 2
