Torn from Akoro's palace, Naya awakens in a hidden world that shatters everything she thought she knew about her brutal Alpha King.
Their bond hanging by a thread, Akoro will stop at nothing to bring her back. Not ancient secrets, not the Omegas who shelter her, not even Naya's own devastating rejection—will keep him from what belongs to him.
As a deadly magical storm barrels toward his kingdom, their passion burns hotter than ever.
Each time he claims her, Naya faces an impossible surrender to the Alpha who ruins her with obsession, or walk away forever to protect the empire that depends on her.
Time is running out. The storm is coming. And Naya must decide—will she surrender to the Alpha who refuses to let her go, or claim the crown she was born to wear?
Zoey Ellis is a Dark Romance author who unites Omegaverse and Epic Fantasy into intensely primal romances. With her signature blend of high steam, dark angst, and magical worlds, her work satisfies a thriving international community of bold-hearted, antihero lovers.
She lives in London, England, and spends most of her free time with family, collecting pretty fountain pen inks, and wrangling her TBR pile.
I liked this a lot, but didn't love it for some reason. Still a solid read by an author I love in a world I adore though. I could see myself upgrading this at some point after a re-read or two.
This third and last book in the trilogy was okay. Unfortunately, I found myself a little underwhelmed though. Not sure why, but I just didn’t feel the same as I did in the first two books, and I set it aside a couple of times to read other books. I’m happy that Akoro and Naya got their hea though.
Storms of His Wrath is an intense and satisfying finale to the trilogy. It brings all the heat, heartbreak, and high stakes I have come to expect—and then some.
Naya steps into her full power, while Akoro battles the monster within—and their bond is tested at every turn. Their dynamic is still possessive and primal, but it also matures in unexpected ways. You can feel the weight of everything they’ve been through as they fight not only for each other, but for their entire world.
The pacing is fast, the emotions are raw, and the tension never lets up. The magic and world-building deepen, with huge consequences for every decision made. But in the end it is worth it! They team up and she decides to remain by his side, to rule together despite the rough beginning of their story.
Kind of skimmed especially towards the end. Weirdly this felt like the first book where the MMC properly acknowledged the trauma, but idk I just found the book a little boring. Also throughout this whole series we only got one heat scene??? 3 stars for overall series
Dear Zoey Ellis, this is by far your best written Trilogy! I cannot think a single thing what I wanted to change… like none.
Would love to read a book about Drocan! I am guessing he will be the next Emperor of Lox and he is so volatile and I am all for it 😅
To sum up the whole Trilogy. Akoro is real asshole and starts off as a true villain of the story. I love books where two main characters meet and they feel this unexplainable pull and this wold is shifting true love moment. But, I also love real enemies to lovers books. Not, betraying body syndrome type of “I hate you but I get wet” but before she knows he is her true mate the true real enemies. He does some crazy things to her and some might not be okay with it. I was because how he redeemed himself was perfect! It left me happy and gooey and all the angst was worth it.
Storyline was freaking phenomenal, I was so immersed into this world and what will happen next, I read all three books back to back.
Character growth was amazing, also for some side characters.
Twist and turns I didn’t expect to get were so good.
Basically, top 10 best series of all time for me! Cannot wait to re-read and order a physical copy of all three books to add to my favourites shelf!
I think this author is ready to write one epic fantasy series. Your mind is one crazy magical and interesting place.
“Because you kissed me” Yeah, Akoro and Naya have my whole heart (the line is from their second book). The level of groveling was perfection. As I was nearing the end, I started wondering if Akoro really would be capable of (the kind of) change needed to be Naya’s true mate. But he did it. I’m saddened she left the Lox Empire, but I see why she chose to rule his land with him.
That said, as much as I love these books and how individual the storylines were, the constant repetition and grammar really took me out of it more than I could stand. It was only because of how invested I was in this world and these characters, that I pushed through. This series as a whole is easily 4 stars. But I really hope Zoey tightens up her writing style and seeks an editor to help her. Her books desperately need it.

In Storms of His Wrath, Book 3 of the Myth of Omega series, the tension and emotional stakes rise as Naya disappears from the roof of the royal palace during her examination of a mysterious artefact. In her absence, Akoro sets out to find her, risking everything in the process. Meanwhile, Naya uncovers more of the Sy dynasty’s secrets, dives deeper into the history of Tsashokra, and edges closer to discovering the elusive Solution. Her growing emotional connection with Akoro is once again put to the test, as she finds herself torn between primal instincts and the burden of newfound knowledge. Will they find their way back to each other — and to a happy ending?
This third installment did not disappoint. I especially enjoyed exploring a more vulnerable side of Akoro, whose emotional depth added richness to the story. The captivating world-building from Book 2 continues here, expanding the mythology and the setting in ways that kept me fully engaged. Zoey Ellis excels at immersing readers in her intricately woven worlds and well-developed characters.
One element I particularly appreciated was the narrative’s reflection on the story of Naya’s parents. The parallels were compelling and added a beautiful layer of depth to the storyline.
Another highlight is the writing style. I value books that are easy to read without sacrificing quality, and Storms of His Wrath achieves that balance well. The smooth, accessible prose made it a joy to read.
I received an ARC of this book, and this is my honest review. I've been a fan of Zoey Ellis since discovering her Empire of Angels series in April 2020, and I’ve read every one of her books since. I can wholeheartedly recommend Storms of His Wrath, along with all of her work.
This was an excellent end to this series. Akoro has doubled down on his possessiveness and inability to see any other outcome but his own. Naya is willing to work with Akoro to find a Solution but that’s all. The make an agreement to do just that. But you know what the say about the best laid plans…I received an ARC of this book and am happily leaving my review. I really love this author, I’ve read several of her books and they’re all amazing! Her characters draw out emotions both good and bad with their actions. You’ll cheer for them and feel devastated with them. This book has a great Alpha/Omega dynamic. Akoro is this physically large, intense, protective Aloha who thinks might makes right. He’s hiding a lot of secrets and maybe repeating his family’s dark history. Naya is an Omega but she looks at her inner Omega as weaker than she herself is rather than a part of her. These two both have amazing journeys to becoming even better versions of themselves. I love their romantic interactions, though I dislike what the author calls her girl parts lol. Anyway this book really takes you on an exciting ride with these two very flawed people, searching for a solution, trying to keep promises and ultimately finding a love that will last a lifetime. Also Akoro was so good to make up to Naya when it was time. Don’t you just love a good grovel? Read this epic finale, you’ll love every minute of it. Fabulous world building, great characters and everything you look for in a romance. Very satisfying ending
i loved the tension in this book. i loved that naya growing feelings for akorro felt natural and realistic here. and i liked how akorro was able to redeem himself after everything he’s done.
but there are a few things holding this back for me:
the grammar is a big problem throughout this whole series. i felt like this book in particular was probably the least bad but they all have messed up words and sentence structures throughout.
i also honestly didn’t care very much about the omega community to the extent that it was talked about in the book and how much time we spent there. a lot of scenes from that community felt like filler and i skimmed every council meeting because there were a lot and i frankly didn’t give a shit.
i also felt like the ending dragged a bit and the book felt a hair too long. mostly due to the excessive scenes in ilia.
but overall i would recommend this series. just know going in that it’s not perfect but is memorable.
edited to add: i also think it’s worth stating that we only get to see akorro and naya go through her heat together once in this entire series and that’s in the first book. i’m not 100% sure how omegas suspend their heats and it wasn’t really explained either in this book but just know that naya only has 1 heat cycle in this whole series… which i was a little disappointed by. i think having that near the end of this book really could’ve brought everything full circle imo.
Naya finds herself in the hidden Omega territory, having been taken away from the Day of Voices ceremony. While the Omegas are initially reluctant to trust her, as she explains what she was doing in their lands, they form a hesitant alliance, but as she learns about the Omega history in this land, she realizes that there is much that Akoro kept from her when he shared the history of his people, and she begins to wonder if history is repeating itself.
Determined to find his mate at any cost, Akoro travels to the Isshiran Sands, putting his life, and that of his fellow travellers at risk. When Naya comes to meet him, he is initially overjoyed, but as she begins questioning him about the past and his actions, he fears he may have lost her forever. Still hoping to save his people from the coming storm, he agrees to her terms as she works with the Omegas to come up with a plan to save them all. Despite his desire to claim his mate above all else, he realizes that he must change who he is fundamentally if he wants to keep her.
I received a copy of this book from the author and really enjoyed it. As the conclusion of this series, I appreciated that it wasn’t all sunshine and roses, and that Naya was able to confront Akoro, and even walk away from him if she wasn’t satisfied with his responses. I loved Oppo’s story, and that it helped Akoro realize the error of his ways, and the sacrifices he needed to be willing to make for a chance at happiness.
Objectively, this is another great book in the series. I love Naya, I love her empathy, her courage and strength within herself. But that is why I have only rated it 3 stars. Because I hate the ending. Again, another great book and most people will love it, but I HATE the ending. The reason -why did she have to give up her kingdom. Why couldn’t they either rule both kingdoms (because it’s too big) or he comes to her land and give up his (because that’s not how the plot works). Why is it always the female? I understand that I don’t hold this expectation for all books in this genre but I do feel like this series establishes equal dynamics between the omega and alpha. That this could be the one series where the female didn’t have to sacrifice her entire livelihood or literally people for the male.
I also didn’t like how it was completely brush over that Akoro blames her people for stealing the artifacts. But really her “people” saved his people from slavery and that his family are the ones that brought on the mass destruction. And he knew about but still blames them! All the focus was on him hiding the information from the his people and not giving the respect the omega deserved. Which is fantastic but how about apologies for blaming someone (country) for something you know they didn’t do.
I did cry for Oppo though.

Oh, part 3. Oh yes and oh no. I'm so sad but also so happy for them!! They are so steamy, such a passionate couple. This man made me mad but she was a sweet girl. She had a spine and used it but he just made her life that much harder. He better try harder because he was something else. He eventually does change for the better.
He needed to win her, this wasn't the same princess.
She had her own strengths. She was a good person and he had to learn how to be. I do wish we got even more of their sweet time, the after he realized he needed to change in a way. Applause for this leading lady! I love their connection. Zoey does passion so well and theirs was sooo good. I hated that this had to end. But I sincerely hope that there are more books in this world because it is so wonderful. Sigh...now I will be checking out any books I might have ever missed because I believe there is an out of print one...? Oh dear... Once again, I am so sad to leave this world. But I hope we get more!

I liked how Akoro groveled by the end of the book. 1 thing I wanted in this last book was seeing how possessive Akoro could get throughout Naya’s pregnancy. But the ending was okay.

Wow! What a whirlwind of a book. Such strong character and relationship development happens in this book. As Naya learns more about her mate’s family and history we feel the twists and turns of what she is learning. It is such a rollercoaster of emotions and feelings. As the book progresses the major shift in Akoro’s thinking and reflection on all he has done as a leader really shows how much he actually cares for her. He makes you want to cheer for him even though the first book easily cast him as a villain. I still struggled with how closed off Naya could be with their relationship but you definitely feel the changes happening. This book did a great job at telling their story.
I will admit that sometimes it was a bit repetitive, I kinda missed the spice that the 2 previous books had (don’t get me wrong it was still smutty but more…mellow?) and I wish Naya remained queen of Lox, but it did deliver in terms of plot and I will forever love this universe, Naya and Akoro included. I would have loved more heats and kisses between them (I don’t remember if there were more in the other trilogies) but the really dark part of their story lasted shorter than it did in her other books so that was a win for me. Can’t wait for the next series!
This ended exactly the way I expected. Akoro and Naya have come a long way from their first meeting. She has overcome trauma and capture, and has found herself a strength that carries through both family and dominion. Akoro's growth has exceeded what I would have imagined. His grasp of power has changed, adjusted to the circumstances and not just the militaristic actions of the past. His willingness to explore a different path shows more vulnerable emotional commitment.
Storms of His Wrath by Zoey Ellis is the conclusion to the story of Akoro and Naya. He wants her back. She’s somewhere else…pondering, wondering, changing. She is once again faced with a horrible dilemma. Meanwhile, his entire focus and belief system is slowly morphing into something entirely different…but, the same. Enjoyed the story! Loved the ending! There were some really slow parts…but, overall a great read!!
This was my favourite of the three and I loved that the ending was actually resolved, instead of just "awh, they lived happily ever after". The characters really had to work on themselves and recognize all the wrongs that were done. So while the first book was too brutal, this one made up for it. Still did roll my eyes on quite a few occasions.
What a great ending full of growth, compromise, yearning and so much spice. Alphas learning boundaries while being able to keep their obsession burning is a hard needle to thread. And Zoey does this so well.
A fitting ending that I only partially saw coming. The many layers of this story really come together in a beautiful and apt way.
The series fell off a cliff in book 3 the entire thing dragged and everything gets resolved around 75% so then it’s just going on and on about them deciding to be together. It was boring, corny, and 🙄😤. Everything is incredibly predictable especially if you read the parent’s book. I truly had to force myself to finish this I definitely wasn’t enjoying it.
Loved this conclusion of Nya and Akoro story! I especially loved how the Omegas' story turned out and there are a couple great mini storyline woven in to this 3rd book! I can read Zoey Ellis omegaverse all day!
3.25 stars. This series started off very strong for me, but by the end it didn’t catch me up as much. There was a lot of skimming and some of the plot resolution lost me. But still an overall fun ride.
