Embark on a magical journey to dreamland with Roo the Cockapoo!
It’s bedtime, but Roo isn’t ready to sleep just yet. After all, she’s the only one who has to go to bed… or is she?
This heartwarming and lyrical bedtime poem is perfect for little ones, celebrating the gentle transition to sleep as Roo discovers she’s not so alone after all.
“Each creature has loved ones, so snug in their nest, you’re never alone, even when taking a rest.”
Both of my girls loved Bedtime for Roo! This is such a sweet rhyming bedtime story. The illustrations are adorable and feature an array of different animals all resting after a busy day. The kindergartener says the hedgehogs are her favorite while the toddler keeps flipping to the ‘mommy and puppy’ page. I’ve already been asked to read this a few times and had it stolen out of my hands by the toddler so she could look at her favorite pictures. 😂 Definitely recommend this story for anyone with young kids!
Stanley has written a series of books about her pup, Roo. Recently, we read "Roo's Amazing Adventures," but we enjoyed "Bedtime for Roo" even more.
Again, this book is beautifully illustrated. It is a rhyming book for young children. It is Roo's bedtime and Roo is not interested. As we go through the book, we learn about the plants and animals who are also settling in for the night. In doing so, we learn Roo isn't the only one with a bedtime.
"Each creature has loved ones, so snug in their nest, You're never alone, even when taking a rest."
I think this is a great book for children to get them ready for naptime or bedtime. It let's them know it's not only them being sent to bed. All plants and animals need rest. With the beautiful pictures and rhymes, I see no reason why this book could not become a part of a child's bedtime routine.
Thank you to author Jane Stanley for sending me a copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review.
"Bedtime for Roo" is a children's picture book with delightful illustrations of animals and bedtime scenes. The children will find the soothing words and pictures helpful as they settle down for their own bedtimes!
