Hunter swept into my life like a hurricane. Cold, broody, and clearly hates me—if only I hated him too. So imagine my surprise when he offered to train me. Accepting his offer was something I never should have done, but with my life on the line, what choice did I have? His sole mission is to keep me safe, but my heart craves more. He claims he’ll never fall in love, yet his actions give me hope that he might change his mind. But I’m afraid that by the time he’s done with me, my heart will be in shreds.
Hunter
I don’t let anyone close, especially not close enough to see the demons that have haunted me for years. But Bailey makes me desire things I shouldn’t. I can’t stay away from her, no matter how much I want to. Bailey challenges and provokes me to the point of implosion. Yet, she’s mine to protect and keep safe. No one will ever get close enough to hurt her, even if her presence is my greatest torment. I hope she’s ready to face the consequences of taunting and tantalizing me. One time should cure me of this insanity, but deep down, I know one taste of her will never be enough. I don’t know who’s corrupting who anymore. I just know I can’t stop myself. I am screwed either way.

I loved all of the previous books in the Corrupt Legacy series, but this one was kind of disappointing. I was highly anticipating this book since we saw the tension build between Hunter and bailey in the previous books. I just think this book didn't live up to my expectations, and it was too long.
Hunter and Bailey have obvious feelings for each other, but they are both super stubborn and refuse to acknowledge them. Hunter is determined to keep Bailey safe since she seems to be a target of their remining enemy, Felix. He is training Bailey, and they are spending a lot of time together since he constantly watching her. Hunter has suffered from serious trauma and had a difficult time with any relationship. He felt like he wasn't good for Bailey, but once they cave into their feelings, there is no going back for him. This man is obsessed with his woman.
I just had issues getting through this book. i couldn't connect to the characters or story, and it took me 4 days to get through. I literally skimmed most of the last 50% of the book. The sex scenes were repetitive, and the dialogue was very corny and cringe throughout all their love scenes. This was way too long for the story it was telling. I was bored and checked out for a large portion of this book. I feel bad because I loved all the previous books, but this was a difficult read for me.
Thank you to Literally Yours PR for providing the ARC.
TW: Previous SA, attempted SA, trauma, PTSD, violence, murder.
I’m just a girl with an incurable Corrupt Me crush, basking in the biggest book coma, not ready for this story and this secret society series to be over. Corrupt Me was the storm I never saw coming—one where my emotions raged with the hero and heroine—as my heart beat and bled for this book. My undoing!
The final installment in this dark college romance series, Corrupt Me, stars the broody Hunter and quiet Bailey. Their love story is messy but worth everything. The banter and burning angst combo undid me! These two shattered souls make each other whole and my heart wanted to hug them.
Corrupt Me bravely touches on tough topics like trauma and abuse. It is a must-read romance for the survivor of whatever made and makes you stronger. It shows the healing power of love the believer of second chances, and the romantic who finds forever love.
“Love isn’t something you find. Love is something that finds you.”
I was such a goner for Corrupt Me that had me in a chokehold the whole time reading. I lived and breathed this book that’s beautifully broken and brilliantly told. This romance took my tears and smiles while owning every part of me. Pure addiction! I can’t love Corrupt Me, this saga, these characters and their powerful journeys enough. This story and series will live rent free in my head and heart forever.
This is the fourth book in this amazing series and this is Bailey and Hunter’s story. Hunter is cold and broody and appears to hate Bailey, but is offers to train her, and she challenges and provokes him at every turn. These two are both stubborn, but they complement each other perfectly. This is a well written story which is an action packed, emotional roller coaster, with family secrets, danger, suspense, intrigue, tension, twists and turns, trauma, undeniable chemistry, morally gray, and love, which leads to an entertaining, spicy, and unpredictable dark romance. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
I could not imagine this series ending in a better way! Corrupt me is the fourth and final instalment in the Corrupt Legacy Series. The whole series was incredible, truly. I am so happy that Hunter & Bailey's story was left for last. Their story is so raw, so full of emotion and hurt. Their broken pieces must have felt irreparable, but they found healing in each other (and with the help of their friends).
Hunter has an awful secret. One he wishes to keep in the deepest, darkest corner of his brian, never to see the light of day. It festers and eats away at him. He blames himself and believes that eventually, his nightmare will just go away.
All Bailey has ever wanted was to be loved and appreciated by her parents. And when she realized the harsh truth - that they will never give her that, she hopes, then, someone else would. And the one person she wants it from the most, seems to hate her. For reasons unknown, as none would make sense, Hunter is so annoyed by Bailey. He is rude to her, constantly throwing jabs her way and critiquing her apparent weakness in combat. But at the same time, he can't seem to keep away from her. He is drawn to her, and feels an obligation to protect her: "the kitten is mine to protect".
"Beautiful. Magical. Sublime. She stirs something in me I can't fight off. This need to make sure nothing touches her."
Bailey is determined to get through to Hunter. She can't help the feelings she has for him:
"He's dangerous, but nothing in me warns me away from him. No, I am the moth. he's the flame. I am bound to burn because I am tempted to feel that appealing yet lethal heat."
The group is still on the hunt for Felix and, of course, danger ensues. There is a plot twist that you kinda, sorta see coming but then bam! you get hit with a really good one!
Hunter & Bailey are perfect for each other: they are the balm to the other's hurt and pain. They understand the other in ways that only two people in love could. Grab your tissues, you'll need them!
I received a free ARC of this book, and this review is only my opinion
This has to be by far one of the best series hat I have read! The plot, twists and turns and drama have you captivated right from the first book to the last book. And what a conclusion! I have been waiting for Hunter and Bailey's story, and the wait did not disappoint! Wanting to hate him, and unsure of her feelings, Bailey, who has never had someone love her, she felt herself unworthy of any attention, and cannot understand Hunter's behaviour towards her. The Banter and dancing around each other is torture for Bailey as she wants more but is unsure what more is! He hates her, or so he thinks, but is unrelenting in his attention towards her, as he takes charge of her safety, and tries to keep all his "family" together and safe. Hunter has never loved before so his feelings for Bailey confuse him. He has a past that he is running from and secrets that could blow apart his close friendships within their group. He is determined to keep his secret and knows if he lets Bailey too close she will unravel him! And unravel him she does, slowly but surely she breaks his barriers down. Whilst they struggle with each others feelings, the "family" still have issues trying to find Felix. Why is he coming after Bailey? Why does Erik, a fellow student, think he has rights to Bailey, when Hunter thinks she is his? But is she? The slow burn is to die for and when the heat gets turned up, it is scorching! The people Hunter trusts the most, Kaden and Celine, Dane and Abi, Blake and Mia and of course, Bailey. They are his life and he will do what is necessary to keep them all safe! Wait for the unexpected as the rollercoaster ride for Bailey and Hunter is unrelenting. Hard decisions need to be made, heartbreak is felt and betrayal is unavoidable. How do these guys end up with their HEA without the drama and danger of the "Family"? An exciting series that I am sad had to come to an end. Well done @BiancaBorell. A worthy 5 stars from me
Corrupt Me is book#4 and is the final book of the Corrupt Legacy series.
This is Hunter and Bailey’s story and after seeing the building tension between the pair in the last book, I was quite excited going into this one.
Hunter and Bailey both see themselves as being broken, Bailey comes from a family that have all but rejected her and struggles to believe she’s enough for anyone, Hunter is haunted by his past causing him to feel unworthy of love and does not allow anyone close enough. This is especially the case when it comes to each other, but neither one of them is able to stay away no matter how much they want to.
Bailey and Hunter were great characters, even though Bailey hides herself away in the background, she is strong, honest and pure. She does whatever she can to get under Hunter’s skin, challenging and taunting him, doing what she can to push him to his limits. Hunter is both broody and stubborn, he doesn’t think he deserves Bailey but is determined to protect her and keep her safe. The pair of them both really struggle with the pull they have for each other, the back and forth banter between them is just something else and the chemistry they have is undeniable. When neither one of them can no longer resist the attraction they have for each other, it gets hot and steamy pretty quickly and it soon turns into so much more for the both of them. Bailey and Hunter definitely bring out the best in each other and I love how Hunter is not only completely obsessed with her but worships the ground she walks on.
This was a pretty long book compared to the last one and I’m not really sure it needed to be, as I found a few chapters to be slightly repetitive in some places. That being said, the story had plenty of drama, intrigue and suspense, as well as some twist and turns throughout and I still very much enjoyed it.
Obedience was trained into them, follow the rules or suffer the consequences. So Bailey hid in the background, not understanding what the Matriarch had against her. Only Kaden knew her secret. She was their hidden weapon and was setting the stage for the heirs to finally escape their life.
Two hundred years ago, six families aligned to make an impressive empire, but greed and power turned it into a corrupt legacy. The heirs had no choice in the decisions made for their future and initiation into the Family business was torture. Torture that Kaden, Abigail and Blake were determined to protect her from.
But when Celine returned, they found out that her mother had not died and had been a prisoner of the Family. And Celine was accompanied not only by a father she thought dead, but a founding family that they were told had been killed - the ashes of their mansion a reminder of what happens when you go against the Family.
Hunter believed that she needed protection. Showing his disgust when she avoided dangerous missions, not realizing she was the hacker leading them to safety. Despite his attraction, he had a secret not even his father and sister knew about. A secret that still gave his nightmares, but he would take to the grave.
I loved this story! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This series is intended to be read in order as the characters are recurring and the plot travels the complete series. Questions throughout this series start to unfold, leading you further into the depravity these heirs are trying to escape.
This book is action-packed, smoking hot and full of depraved danger. If you want a dark suspense thriller romance, this is definitely a series for you! Highly recommend.
I haven't read the other Corrupt Legacy books, but there was enough context for me to not be confused. Hunter doesn’t think he can ever fall in love, but he’s claimed Bailey as his to protect. She’s never been able to find the love she’s looking for, especially from her cruel parents. Hunter trains her in self-defense. She's never been able to find the love she's looking for, especially from her cruel parents. Hunter trains her in self-defense. As they get closer, Hunter realizes that he wants to be with Bailey, despite thinking he is too damaged to be in a relationship. The love between Hunter and Bailey allows them to move forward together in the future, while also helping them process and heal from the scars of their past.
When Bailey goes on a girls' trip, she enacts the best revenge on behalf of Hunter, taking down the woman who hurt him the most. Hunter is finally able to talk about his trauma with his loved ones, with Bailey providing him support and strength. I love how all the heirs are dedicated to not just their romantic partners, but to their friends as well. Hunter and Bailey, as well as the three other couples in the book, are on the hunt for Felix.
Eric, her classmate, is very persistent in pursuing Bailey, to the point of annoying me. He cannot take a hint that she only has eyes for Hunter. I could've done without the engagement for the sake of appearances between Eric and Bailey, as it dragged on the story a bit. Hunter has many nicknames for Bailey, but my favorite one is “angel” because she saves him from his darkness. The HEA ending was satisfying.
Celine and Kaden, Abigail and Dane and Mia, and Blake all fought hard for their love, and now it's time for Bailey and Hunter to find theirs.
But before they find theirs, they need to overcome their own insecurities, face down foes who threaten to hurt thier family, and come face to face with truths that have shaped them into who and what they are.
Bailey and Hunter's attraction was undeniable, the push and pull, witty banter giving the readers whiplash. Their friends offer sage advice and claim the other before it's too late. Why deny the inevitable right?
They don't believe they're worthy of love, not with what they've seen and done, but its in those moments, the ones where they find themselves at thier lowest, does it bring them together in ways they never expected.
Because when they come together, Hunter is all in. His dominant, controlling, and possessive need to claim and protect Bailey fuels his need to keep her safe, yet his OTT, jealous behaviour makes him lose his mind, and Bailey wouldn't have it any other way.
Those smexy scenes were downright steamy, spicy, sinfully dirty, wickedly filthy, deliciously hot, and I was there for every minute of it.
And when those who were responsible for hurting their family are no longer a threat, they can now breathe a sigh relief, their corrupt legacy no more, for their legacy is on a new path, with them at the helm.
The bonus chapter gives us insight into their happily ever after, and it is one readers definitely can get on board with.
Highly recommend both the author and the book.
I received an ARC. Therefore, I am submitting a voluntary review.
This whole series is so corrupt, it will consume you while wrecking you completely and loving every moment of it. See what I did there? lol. Sorry just a bit of humor to start my day. Anyways even if it is a play on words…it’s still completely true. Every read is better than the last and the way the end unfolds will have you laughing, crying and begging for more. I knew Hunter was holding a truly amazing guy he just needed a little light to push his demons away… and that is exactly what Bailey is for him…His kryptonite, his salvation, his angel. But when a new piece of the corrupt family is revealed can Bailey and Hunter find away through it together or will in completely rip the seems from their very being? Hunter has renounced love and nothing and no one can break through that hard shell of his. Bailey though she sure does push his limits to the breaking point. She puts him on edge and makes him feel things he never thought he would. But he refuses to corrupt her innocence with his darkness except she refuses to take no when he keeps saying yes with his actions. Using her safety as a guise to cover his jealousy but she will push him to the breaking point of one night…that won’t hurt anything…right?!
Corrupt Me is book four of the Corrupt Legacy Series.
This is the final book of the series and it seems we might have left the best for last. I was very excited to read all about Hunter and Bailey. We got to see some of the tension between these two in the previous book and let's just say the wait was worth it. I loved these two together. Even there was a bit of a hate-love-hate relationship, deep down they meshed well together.
Hunter goes through a big transformation in this book. What we thought about him was incorrect. Getting to delve deep into his character was remarkable. I really liked getting to see the closer picture of his past and his inner thoughts. He has a lot of pain and trauma he is trying to cope with and he struggles on even a good day. Then enter Bailey who slowly but surely breaks down his walls and gets to see the deep inner reality of who Hunter truly is. I loved delving into this relationship between them.
There are a lot of manipulative moments and people. Secrets and lies are revealed and we get a lot of heartbreak. There is a lot of pain, but it is so worth the read to get to the end.
This is the last book in the Corrupt Legacy series and it does not disappoint. Hunter and Bailey take you on a wild ride full of angst, tension and banter that will have you not wanting it to end. Hunter doesn’t do love but things change when he can no longer fight what has always been there between him and Bailey. The chemistry between Hunter and Bailey is top notch and beyond just steamy. They are both obsessed with each other but Hunter just takes it to a new level. The way he’s soft with only Bailey, will have you getting a warm feeling in your chest. But the plot twists will have you almost falling out of your seat and teary eyed with what happens next. But things happen as they should and once you reach their HEA it feels like all the characters in the series get their final HEA along with Bailey and was such a great read that I couldn’t help but devour even though I wanted to take my time since it was the last book of the series. Such an amazing end to a great series that I would reread again and again.
A.MAZE.BALLS READ!! This is the final book in the Corrupt Legacy series and I have been dy!ng toread Hunter's story. Hunter is the broody, dark, damaged past MC and oh boy were we treated to one h#ll of a read! The angst in Hunter and Bailey's story is DELICIOUS, just when you think they may have it all worked out..... there's more. They are both drawn to each other but at the same time wary for quite a while, they antagonised each other just to get a bite. The back and fourth with these two was perfect and even had me laughing in parts. Hunter..... OMG are you in for a surprise!!! I can't give it away but wowsers!! Bailey is a lucky girl LOL
This story has it all, i LOVED every minute of their story - even the parts where i was yelling at my kindle threatening to throw it across the room.
Perfectly written with so much heart and soul. Hunter and Bailey were perfect. Bianca, you smashed this right out of the park!! 5 Stars
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.
This is the story of Bailey and Hunter. These are two people who have feelings for each other. It is clear from the very beginning of the book that they do. However, he has not intention of acting on those feelings and is really good at denying them. Though she is just as stubborn as he is really. However he is determined to keep her safe and training her is the best way to make sure that she knows how to protect herself. Felix is the only enemy left and he is coming after her. I don't want to give anything away about this story but I will say that I loved it. I loved watching these two characters fight their feelings. Then give in to them. Oh the sweet victory. I loved that Hunter was always there keeping Hunter safe. I loved that she was just as obsessed with him as he was her. This was a really great book that you do not want to miss.
This angsty conclusion to the Corrupt Legacy Series finds Bailey and Hunter as the last two singles standing and trying to navigate how they feel about each other. Hunter is hiding a devastating secret that makes him fill unworthy of love from anyone especially Bailey, and Bailey’s past with parents who have never loved her makes her take every rejection from Hunter as a reinforcement of her never being enough. This book finally brings to an end the hunt for the person who is hunting them and reveals who is helping him from the inside.
This story was touching and heart wrenching and at times so devastatingly heartbreaking. Bailey and Hunter’s story brings together two broken people who were waiting for each other to heal. Hunter’s devotion to protecting his family gives him purpose but Bailey’s love sets him free. You will feel all the emotions reading this book in the best way. I hate that this is the final book but it ended on a great note.
What to expect…. ❤ Dark college romance 🔥Slow burn ❤ Broody hero 🔥Emotional scars (both) ❤ Tormented hero 🔥Touch her and d!e ❤ Opposites attract 🔥Jealous/Possessive ❤ Banter 🔥Just once isn’t enough ❤ Romantic suspense 🔥First love ❤ Found family
Corrupt Me: A Opposites Attract Dark College Romance is the fourth book in the Corrupt Legacy Series by Bianca Borell.
This is the story of Bailey (MFC) and Hunter (MMC). Hunter and Bailey have been in the previous books in this series. The attraction to each other is known; however, they both deny their feelings about each other. Hunter has main levels…he appears to be cold, grumpy, and past hurts. Bailey is strong and stubborn. Bailey cooperates with Hunter, but she also challenges him too. Their attraction and chemistry are 🔥🔥🔥. I enjoyed reading the twists and turns of this book and how they navigate their relationship.
A captivating story as the Hunter is protecting everyone especially Bailey. He's always been a dark force of his own, keeping his own demons at bay never feeling worthy of love or Bailey. The tension between them is palpable, the sexual chemistry is off the charts as their fiery passion finally explodes, but can they handle the emotional rollercoaster their lives are about to turn into?. The one thing he can do is protect her and the rest of their family of friends. I love all the interaction between the characters as they follow the leads, always in danger and always together as a family. A great conclusion to this series as all the loose ends are unraveled and finally revenge is theirs when they finally catch Felix. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Bailey and Hunter, after all the tension that had been building between this pair over the Corrupt Legacy series, I had been expecting fireworks between them but instead of a full on pyrotechnic display, it was more like a damp squib, and I can't help but feel the actual deed fell flat when compared to the build up with a distinct lack of chemistry between them. Once I got past my disappointment in the romance stakes, I did enjoy the overall suspense element of Corrupt Me as the hunt for Felix was brought to a suitably gripping conclusion with just enough twists and turns, some expected and some surprising giving this reader all the thrills and drama I’ve come to expect from this author, I just wish the balance between romance and suspense had been more evenly balanced.
I was nervous to read Hunter and Bailey’s story just because they seemed like such dull characters in the other books. You got a glimpse of Hunter in book one but Bailey was more of a side character in all of them.
However, I stand corrected! I think I like their story just as much as Blake and Mia. You can definitely tell that Hunter is Mia’s darker half as her twin but they both love deep!
Bailey turned into this force to be reckoned with and I was there for it 100%! Hunter is just so yummy as well.
I really enjoyed this series. I would be interested in reading a series about the older generation if it ever happens. ;)
I've been waiting for Bailey and Hunter's story for a while and it was just as good as I thought it would be! Hunter is a broody, troubled guy who wants to protect Bailey and is irresistibly drawn to her. Bailey craves Hunter's affection but knows he is kind of emotionally unavailable. Hunter doesn't seem to think he is worthy of anyone's love and Bailey wants nothing more than to be loved and fall in love. Their friendship and potential relationship has been a slow burn in the previous books of the series so I was excited to see their relationship come together in this story. The story is full of angst and drama, and their s3xual chemistry is very steamy. This was a great HEA ending of the series for this very deserving couple.
My heart is broken because this incredible series has come to an end.
Every time Bianca Borell finishes a series, she leaves me with a mix of joy and sadness. Sadness, because I have to say goodbye to such captivating characters, each more intriguing than the last. And joy, because they all finally get the happiness they deserve.
In this final book, I got to reunite with Bailey and Hunter—my favorites since the very beginning. From book one, I needed to know more about Bailey. There was something about her that resonated with me—not her hacking skills, unfortunately, but her deep loneliness within her own family. Bailey is one of Bianca Borell’s best characters. She’s incredibly smart, strong, and yet so broken at the same time. She deserved so much better from her family. Thankfully, she found one in her friends and in Hunter.
As for Hunter, he intrigued me just as much. His coldness toward most people contrasted with his warmth toward his sister and Céline. He could shift moods in an instant, but his protectiveness over those he loved was undeniable. Watching Bailey slowly break down his walls, piece by piece, was so satisfying. His past shattered me, but thanks to Bailey and his newfound family, he was finally able to move forward.
The plot was just as gripping, and I was thrilled to see that the monster at the heart of it all finally got what he deserved. I especially loved how Bailey managed to manipulate him in her own way. Since book two, I had suspicions about Bailey’s origins, and in some ways, I was right… but I’ll let you discover that for yourself.
Once again, thank you, Bianca Borell, for this stunning book!
PERFECT PERFECT CONCLUSION!! This book was perfection! I finally got to read about Bailey and Hunter after so much tension and angst in the previous books!
Everything from the banter, the push and pull, the romance, the spice, the sacrifice, the political intrigue and the possessiveness was utter perfection. It was all so brilliantly written and I might have even shed a few tears reading those last few chapters!!
This series need to become so so hyped! Loved the friendships and everything about this story.
Corrupt Me - Corrupt Legacy Book 4 ) Slow Burn , Opposites Attract, Dark College Romance. I seriously cannot remember the last time I felt so happy and so sad all at once . Well not only has Corrupt me delivered all of the above in spades ♠️ but this entire series has , because what a incredible world and complex characters Bianca has created
This book brings this addicting series to a close and though I'm sad to say goodbye, I'm just as happy to say that it went out on a high note. Bailey and Hunter not only stole my heart, but they also bent, twisted and broke it. As much as I loved these characters was equally matched by how much my heart ached for them. Thick with tension, lush with emotions and filled with drama, suspense and twists, this book is the kind that easily scores a direct hit on your heart and will be lingering in your mind long after the last page it turned.
3.75⭐️ 3🌶️ This is the 4th book in this series. I had not read any of the other books in the series but it was not needed. The things you needed to know from previous books was really well written.
Bailey and Hunter are two broken souls. Bailey is pure and honest, but hiding her secret talents. Hunter is tortured hero with a sore past, but beyond possessive and protective of the ones he loves.
This pair go through so much and fight like hell to over come it. The twist and turns of this story just keep you wanting more. Their chemistry is felt through the whole book.
This is my first read by Bianca Borell and it will definitely not be my last.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Corrupt Me was the first book I've read from @bianca.borell and it won't be the last! I really liked this book. Bailey and Hunter 🔥🔥🔥.
Corrupt Me is book 4 of her Corrupt Legacy Series. I recommend reading the first 3 books in the Corrupt Legacy Series to know what is going on in the story, but it was easy to figure things out pretty early on in the book.
This Family of friends will do absolutely anything for one another, and I mean ANYTHING. All of the characters were well written.
The immense love and connection Bailey and Hunter have for each other is intense in all the best ways 😜.
Corrupt Me by Bianca Borell is the final book in the Corrupt Legacy series! It is the story of Hunter and Bailey. He has to protect her. Initially, neither really cares for the other. But, things change rapidly…
This story is a fitting end to this series. The characters are genuine and the pull between them is very gradual. My only negative is that this author and the writing style are incredibly verbose. Not sure there needs to be so many words! Much of it is inner dialogue that is repeated again and again. But, the story line is great and characters are wonderful!
3.5 stars This is a dark story, with two emotionally broken people with Hunter being broody and sullen and Bailey being smart and stubborn. There was a build up of a tension but I didn't connect with the characters or the story, it just didn't hit. There is possessiveness and jealousy, there is control, and great character development. I love the way they learnt to be vulnerable with each other. I dont know if it was just the writing that I just didn't connect with or what. Still worth a read, I think lots of people would really like this.
I love dark, college romance and I love Bailey and Hunter's story!
Ms. Borell has done an exceptional job with this series! The Corrupt Legacy Series was just stupendous, and at some point, I'll go back and read them back to back! Yes, I enjoyed them that much!
Hunter is such a complex character and Bailey had her work cut out for her to try to break down Hunter's walls!
This was an emotional read!
I wish it wasn't over, but Ms. Borell left me very satisfied!
