By accident I stumbled upon my first book about modern witchcraft and magic a few months ago. Although I do believe in a God, I don't always believe in the church (if that makes sense). For some reason I found quite some missing key elements in that book about Witchery. I started looking for more and on BookSirens I came across this book.
I would advise getting yourself a paper copy of this book. I also advise skim reading the introduction of each chapter first, to get a feel for what can be found in this book. Then take your time to work through the chapters speaking to you. I read the book from cover to cover, but I already know that at some point I will order a physical copy to actually work with everything this book asks. And that won't be everything, but that will be most of it.
What I like most is that this book feels very down to earth. It's not about things that MIGHT be there, it's about things that absolutely and without a doubt ARE there. And quite often it's the sort of magic you're probably already using, but not consciously, which is exactly what this book is about: bring the stuff you do unconsciously to your consciousness, so you can actively use it to steer your life into a direction fitting you better.
It's hard work and while reading I already noticed that some things made me a little uncomfortable, but if there's one thing I learned in therapy it's that the hardest things are quite often the most important things. That's why they're so hard.
Do you believe in magick? Not sure? Here’s a fantastic reference book that breaks down every element of magick, learning about tarot, divination, clairvoyance, and how to become the very best magical version of yourself.
I’ve always been a huge fan of Iris Beaglehole’s fictional series “Myrtle wood Mysteries” and I’m very excited and honored to read “Awakening the Wild Witch”!
Being someone who has always had a bit of a magical side to me (as someone who hadn’t practiced the arts in years), I really wish this was available during my years of learning about being a better magical person and having the guidance that this volume teaches. Her words are not only educational but inspiring; it's like having Iris beside you as she teaches and encourages you through every section with such passion and vigor. I wish I had her as a spiritual mentor growing up!
If you are curious about learning the ways of the wild witch, definitely check this book out and feel the magick for yourself! This is definitely staying in my library (I have so many highlighted marks throughout my Kindle version for my notes, you wouldn’t believe it) and I can’t wait to listen to an audiobook production of this if one is ever created.
I can’t wait to check out more of Iris’ upcoming projects and I hope you take the chance to crack open a copy of “Awakening the Wild Witch” and feel the magick for yourself.
Happy Reading and Blessed Be!

This is truly informative and intriguing book. It covers a wide range of magical topics in a detailed yet easy-to-read way, making it a fantastic reference, especially for anyone just starting out. The guidance is clear, the information is broken down well, and much of it resonates on a deeper level. A great read and one I highly recommend.
